Earlier this year, a vacant drive-thru liquor store on the South Side was transformed into a community marketplace, distributing fresh produce to low-income families and helping propel the area into a hub of health and wellness. A new mural project adorning the store’s walls paints a colorful picture about the powerful impact a store like this can have on a neighborhood.
