February 20, 2020. Under the direction of Leon Anderson, Jr., the FSU Jazz Ensemble I plays music from the Thad Jones 1975 album, Suite for Pops. Suite for Pops pays tribute to Louis Armstrong. In addition to music from this suite, the band also plays Portrait of Louis Armstrong by Duke Ellington, and Thad by Jim McNeely. Special guests include vocalist, Avis Berry and FSU Jazz Faculty members.
