March 3, 2022. Florida State University's Jazz Ensemble I, led by Leon Anderson, Jr., performs Oliver Nelson’s “The Kennedy Dream” and “JazzHattan” suites. Both works were written/recorded in 1967, at the height of Civil Rights Movement. The music encompasses those passions as well as an outlook of life moving ahead. This concert incorporates a full jazz orchestra with extended instrumentation.
