So this is my sixth annual fundraiser to raise money for period products for unhoused youth.
- So Life House is a youth serving organization.
We work with young people ages 14 to 24 who may be unstably housed, unhoused, or just navigating various challenges in their life.
Life House is a community.
Life House is part of the Duluth community.
It takes a village, as we all know.
Fundraisers such as the one today for period products really do help to stock up our basic needs room.
We have a room, a free store, with hygiene supplies like toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, period products, baby supplies that you can get free of charge.
- I have found that if I hit $1,000, Life House can pretty much spend the entire year on that funding for period products.
And then the goal is to do that so that come next August, I raise money again so that they can continue to spend that money elsewhere.
