53 year old Thomas Petoskey suffered a medical event while fighting a wildfire in Oldham County.
Pesci was a member of the Ballard Deville Fire Department.
Governor Andy Beshear has ordered flags at half staff today in Penske's honor.
The governor's office said in a release that the wildfire started from a burning, vacant building and the cause is being investigated.
