Solar storage projects are being tested to solve the problem of the sun's limits as a source. In these systems, solar energy is used to power facilities and stored in batteries to be used after sunset. The massive solar batteries are used in concert with traditional fossil fuel generators during extended power outages as a result of severe weather events.
