More schools present virtual plans amid budget hurdles

West Orange and Willingboro are two more school districts looking to be fully remote.

West Orange and Willingboro are two more New Jersey school districts presenting plans to the state that are completely virtual. Willingboro cited health concerns, while West Orange lacks the funding for HVAC upgrades to safely return students to the classroom. Many districts, especially high-poverty urban and rural districts, have been underfunded since the Great Recession.
