They are seven and one in region play, and on a three-game, winning streak Flowery Branch.
They're also on a three-game winning.
Drake, but their region record, not as good for and for they are going to need a win tonight.
If they want to continue to play big big night in high school sports all over the state of Georgia, 20 teams are undefeated right now, 9 and 0 will see how that plays out throughout the course of the night.
And of course, the last game of the regular season, there are a lot of region championships will be decided.
And Mark, you saw me there with the Flowery Branch Falcons fans.
Just a moment ago.
They are very excited.
They have been filling our Grace Olson in all week long, with all of their school spirit.
And she is joining us now.
Now, with a look at what they've been talking about to get ready for this game.
Grace.
Thank you.
Clear.
That's right.

We call it our hashtag Spirit were sharing contest right here.
We have a string of videos of the Flowery Branch student section.
They've got a neon theme going, a blackout theme going and America theme going tonight.
They're back to the blackout.
So I can't wait to see what they bring.
We're going to see a lot of that during halftime.
Now in tonight's edition of Graces places, those fourth-year vets out there on the field tonight.
It is a special night for them when they begin their first day of kindergarten when they were little kids.
That was actually the first day that Flowery Branch, High School opened its doors.
And these guys mean so much to the community.
Here's the story.
Go to be a kid again the days when recessed begins and life, just couldn't get any better.
But at the three elementary schools that feed into Flowery Branch High, it does get better when the teenaged Falcons show up to play.
I remember how I used to do the exact same thing.
They're doing right now playing at recess.
We had played on the far side of that, baseball field over there every day, every single day.
Now, it's dull and his teammates turn.
Show the little guys the wrote feel well as a teacher, you really appreciate students who make good role models for the next group coming up.
And these guys have done that when those students just walked in the door.
I mean they were so excited.
We got to play football with the high school guys today.
They guys in red and black are years removed from kindergarten but they were there at one point.
In fact, the year, these seniors began their grade school Journeys was the Very same year, Flowery Branch opened its doors are seniors this year, had the opportunity to see us when they were very young.
We were just getting started, not win a lot of football games.
So for them to get to this point now, and starting back in kindergarten and first grade to where they are.
Now, they've seen the transition of this school from being small and want to be good to have been a pretty big school and participating at a higher level.
Fast forward, 13 years and the chairs are just a little too small.
The Work not quite as tough, but the strength of community, the sense of family and that Falcon Spirit are just the same.
When I was here.
I looked up to the high school players.
I wanted to be in Flowery Branch.
I'm going to go to school there, play football there and seeing these guys reminds me of when I was little and just looking up to that.
What are we drawing here?
So, I guess he a field goal in there.
Oh, is that you playing football?
Show it to the camera.
You're visiting classes earlier in all these kids that I've never seen for my life.
They were up like, oh, it's a far better football player.
They come give me a hug high five, big dogs.
And now, I get to play her five branch, which I've dreamed of ever since I was his age.
Yeah, our coaches.
I've always made us dream about playing on Friday night.
I just hope to go up there and be just like my big brother, but do you think that high school team means the They have in the community as well, which he achieved huge.
These students here look up to these guys, and I hope to one day to grow up and be like them.
When I'm out there on Friday nights.
I don't even think about it, but actually the game somebody.
Wow.
I just basically did what I wanted to.
I met my goal.
When I was a little kid, living the dream.
Now, depending on the playoff scenario, depending on the playoff scenario tonight could be the last night at these Branch boys.
The Flowery Branch players hit this field.
So they told me they're going to be soaking up every moment of it.
And I know we had GPB Sports and you at home are soaking up all the football that we can as well.
And the best way to do that is to download the GPB football app because the scores and the rankings and the schedules are all their.
We're going to have playoff brackets on the app.
So you need to make sure you download it.
It's free from the App Store.
There's no better way to keep track of your high school football guys.
Grace, thanks very much.
Both.
These teams are region Rivals.
Both are loaded with talent and both teams can light up a scoreboard.
Let's check in.
Now with our play-by-play team, Matt Stewart, and Larry Smith for little x's and o's, a little chalk, talk a segment.
We call extra point.
Thanks, Mark.
Larry.
Let's take a look at our extra points, the keys to victory for tonight's ballgame.
Let's start with Gainesville.
Don't get hurt.
That's the bottom line.
It's gonna mean anything for him.
In terms of the state that playoff in their ranking play the game, try to get the win but the key is stay healthy.
Come out of tonight vertical and horizontal.
Yeah, there's no question.
This spread offense coach was saying they really want to use the entire field.
That's going to make them a given better chance of success.
You want to make sure they kind of get out there and make it happen.
Alright.
Flowery Branch Find the hot hand.
They're going to play two different quarterbacks tonight, Nick, Lance and Jason Johnson.
Yeah, that's right.
And that's the thing is, you know, which what would everyone is hot?
Go with him, make it happen and roll the dice on defense.
Yeah, they're gonna have to really gamble on defense against this spread off into.
There's no question against a Gainesville.
Take some chances again, last game of the season.
See if we can make it happen tonight and get the win.
Absolutely.
That is your keys to the game.
Claire.
All right.
Thanks guys.
Warming up before a big game like this or even before your regular workout.
Absolutely.
The key to staying healthy.
So joining me now is Rich.
Novak.
He is the president and general manager of signal.
We're going to talk a little bit about that.
But first, thank you for being here.
Great to be here.
Clara great to be here on senior night off of Flowery Branch.
So why is it so important to get that warm up in?
So, your body doesn't want to get shocked into an immediate workout sprinting, running hard, things like that.
You can really make or break the effectiveness of your workout by how well you warm up.
So, you know the science is there now and what it tells This is dynamic.
Stretching is really what everything is all about jumping jacks, blocking high, knees, knee pulls doing windmills with your arms.
Things like that.
These are the things that are really going to allow your body to warm up properly, fire up the muscles and what it amounts to is.
Well, in terms of getting ready for the workout itself is it's an injury prevention, measure, and that's really one of the most important things out there.
And so, how long should that warm-up be before you get to start?
Printing and doing all those other things.
So really a five-minute warm -up and stretches is what you're looking for.
So a lot of professional trainers, guys, I actually used to work with would tell you five to seven minutes is optimal.
Alright, and those big muscle groups.
That's what you're targeting.
Yeah, big muscle groups.
So, legs, your core, your upper body and shoulders.
These are the things you want to get moving.
Get your body working together, get everything.
Moving in one continuous path.
So that when you get out there to work hard, your Ready for it.
Alright, that's tonight.
Signature moment, Rich.
Novak.
Thank you so much for being here.
Thanks Claire.
My pleasure.
All right.
Let's check in.
Now with John Nelson.
He's standing alongside the head coach of the red elements.
Bruce Miller.
John.
Thank you very much.
Mark here, with the coach.
First off, since I haven't seen you since congratulations on.
Getting north of 200 wins.
Thank you.
Thank you, John.
I guess that just proves if you stay around long enough, good things happen, but, you know, it was a Big Thrill.
Big Thrill early in the year and we got it.
Well, I'm ready.
I'm looking.
I'm just looking at the season right now.
Alright, let's talk about the season, obviously new quarterback in there.
Looked at that first game and everybody's are going, whoa, kind of stepping back a little bit.
But Mikey has developed Mike.
He's thrown for 2,200 yards.
He's executed offense perfectly.
He's just done a great job stepping in and we were so proud of him.
All right.
Now you got a special visitor last night.
The old guy came in to talk to the team.
Wanted to Sean say after his game.
Well done.
Sean just Sean is Deshawn Deshawn just comes around and he gets along with everybody shakes hands and we all want to see his stitches in his hand.
We had the surgery and he showed us that and half Sure, that Sean would just sit down and talk to you.
Sean is just one of the great guys.
Alright, last question for you, time to play the match game to win tonight.
I have to do blank.
We got to control the line of scrimmage.
Well, there you go, Match Game, simple answer.
Thanks for hanging out.
All right.
Thanks John.
All right, he's gonna go get ready.
He's be back here in no, but he's got a long walk.
But let's send it over to Mark before the band invades the field.
All right, Jon Nelson.
Thank you very much.
We got a big game.
Like I'm pretty excited for this one.
Yeah.
This is going to be huge for both teams.
All right, coming up.

There's a lot of teams hunting for a playoff spot tonight in the last game of the regular season.
You just had to get that in there, didn't I love the Hunter's moon?
It's just absolutely great.
You know, this game has produced some star players that have gone on to the Collegiate ranks and joining us.
Now is our play-by-play man, Matt Stewart.
Our College Football Hall of Fame, recruiting Roundup.
And let's start off right off.
The top Greensville, has sent a couple of quarterbacks to the big time including Blake Sims.
Who's at Alabama.
Now, he's got kind of a big game.
Tomorrow is Alabama takes on LSU.
But Blake Sims is used to playing in big games.
Going back to his days at Gainesville High School.
LED this team to the 2009 state championship game as a senior Blake Sims throws for two hundred and two thousand.
Two hundred eighty eight yards.
That's a completion right there.
Two.
Tyler Jones is now playing in the National Football League after starring at Notre Dame.
He also threw for 28 touchdowns in the senior rush for 863 yards and 13, touchdowns all total Blake Sims 3736, all-purpose, yards, and 49 total touchdowns.
Another guy that is played in this game.
DeShaun, Watson, who I guess?
Spoke to the Gainesville team players yesterday.
DeShaun Watson, LED Gainesville to the 2012 state championship as a junior.
He was the state Player of the Year as a sophomore as a junior and as a senior by the time he left Gainesville High School.
He was rated the number one dual-threat quarterback in the nation.
A four-year Starter Set State Career records for 17,000 134 total yards of offense, 218 total touchdowns.
That's thirteen, thousand yards in the air, 4,000 yards on the ground.
I'm not even sure how many miles that is, by the way.
I think it's a lot.
I don't have enough fingers and toes to figure that out.
But Flowery Branch has also sent a quarterback of the big time.
Yeah, the coach's son Connor Shaw who will ever forget Connor Shaw LED flowery Brands to the 2009 state championship game as a junior actually 2008 state championship game was a junior.
The semifinals in 2009 as a senior through per 30 100 yards, 30 touchdowns just six interceptions in his senior season rush for 800 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Yards in the air.
22, touchdown passes as a junior and Connor Shaw probably, if you asked a South Carolina Gamecocks fans, probably the most liked quarterback in South Carolina, history, took them to new heights Under head coach.
Steve Spurrier did a lot of Flowery Branch to for his deadly Sean.
All right, Matt Stewart with our College Football Hall of Fame.
Recruiting Roundup.
Nobody Does it Better?
Thank you.
All right.
Let's check in.
Now with Grace.
He's got more with a world of social media, Grace.

These are the Gainesville red.
Often students, they call themselves ragers read on Twitter because they're right, the red elephants.
Now, we have two photos.
I think we're going to show you guys.
I found these on Twitter.
Gainesville has a rock that they paint red.
That's kind of their tradition.
We see the no-fly zone, obviously because the Falcons and then you say a three what rivalry?
But this is a big rivalry.
Yeah.
It's always big wheel of plan, fry branch.
That was give us a good competition, smack talk on social media.
It's gonna be a good night.
And I know it's been crazy all week long on social media, because I've seen that, and To the Red Rock.
What is the tradition behind the rock?
Why do you paint it every game every week.
We the cheerleaders paint, the rock.
Just based off of who were playing, usually has some relevance to the week, and it's just kind of an in Tradition at Gainesville painted every week and it's a central spot as a ride passes, it going to school and we all see it.
It's just a tradition at Gainesville, pretty cool.
Tradition.

Number one.
Yeah, winners Ville classic and it was, let's spend some time in slash.
Pine EMC, to let you know what happened in another renewal of Valdosta and lounge and this was tight all the way through Brennan Goodson.
Would it make a 32-yard field goal with 10 seconds left for Valdosta.
It was their first win at home in winners Ville.
Since 2002 Lowndes, pretty much shot themselves in the The foot most of the game, seven turnovers Mark and 15 penalties.
Valdosta one at 9:47 and we spent some time in slash pine EMC, for that game.
That's it for topic.
Number one.
Mark.
What's topic?
Number?
Two?
Topic number two is number one, ranked Colquitt County number one.
In the state of Georgia.
As high as third in the country, five different polls.
They are top five and for that, we'll spend time in Irwin and Mitchell, emc's to show you how Colquitt.
Lit it up in the second half last week against Tift County.
This game was actually pretty tight in the first half, it was And it conc with early in the third, but Chase Parrish 23:33 for 308 sihiem King, picking them up and putting them down to TD's.
Passing prepares.
Its complex, first region title.
Since 1999.
They outscored Tift 33, nothing in the second, half, winning 6221.
That's it for topic.
Number two, Mark.
What's topic number?
Three, topic.
Number three is Aquinas the team to beat in single a private.
That's looking certainly that way.
We're going to spend some time and rail EMC.
Is they had their rivalry game their region game last week.
It's Lincoln County at buddy buffered field.
And this one was out of its mind.
Ruben Garnett, 138 yards, rushing in a touchdown.
Catch Lincoln County.
Had a chance late, but they throw an interception Aquinas held on 15 13 for the final.
Aquinas playing tackle Square in a huge region game tonight.
That's it for topic 3, I think that means that were done but at half time, you've got the leading rusher in, the stay Shannon.
Brooks from Pickens.
We catch up with the dragons as they chase after their first region title Eva.
All right.
That's Jon's Georgia brought to you by Georgia EMC.
All right.
Now Chris Griffin.
It is a third season as the head coach, the Falcons of Flowery Branch tonight.
He faces a tough opponent.
He needs a win and some help to make it to the postseason.
Well, any time we played Gainesville, it's it's big.
Like I was saying, you can throw records and playoff seedings out the window.
A lot of these kids have grown up playing a lot of these kids from Gainesville, so they know them, you know, it's not number 13.
It's writing Lackey.
I mean, I know that.
Kids by name.
And it's, you know, it's exciting to see, you know, these kids as they grow up.
And so tonight is huge.
It's huge for for both communities.
This game is always or something at stake.
Every time we play.
Obviously this year, not not as much for us, but I know for them, they want to win going into the playoffs and hopefully we get a little help and some people and hopefully maybe sneak in ourselves.
So it's it's used for both programs for both communities and hopefully, it'll be a This is good football tonight.
It's senior night.
That means a lot to you and your program.
Oh, it's huge, our seniors, a lot of these guys grew up playing and you know in our community in fact was ironic and is our seniors were actually in kindergarten when the school opened in 2002.
So, this is kind of the first group that's kind of grown up, you know, from from day one in school, you know, in the Flowery Branch Community and the feeder program and so it's special for them.
A lot of them and played every year, you know, in our youth Um, and so to kind of top off their their career, you know, it's senior night, you know, against Gainesville and, you know, beautiful night of football.
It's I know it's special for them, especially for their for their families coach.
Good luck tonight.
That's a blackout by the fans out.
There should be a wild one.
I hope so.
Thanks.
So coach Griffin needs his guys to win and a little help to make the postseason.
It has big night region championships are going to be decided in playoff berths also decided tonight.
And speaking of the playoffs we have.
Right way, you can get interactive and start filling out those brackets.
Let's go over to Grace Olson.
Grace.

Grace.
Well, it is that time.
It's game time.
And this is going to be a big one.
It is, it is the red elephants of Gainesville versus the Falcons of Flowery Branch.
It is time for football Fridays in Georgia live on GPB, but their Star Quarterback.
DeShaun, Watson George's 2013 player of the year has moved on to Clemson.
What are the team aerodynamix like without the home team?
The Flowery Branch?
Falcons under coach, Chris Griffin are looking for Revenge from last year's pivotal loss looking to claim the region title.
This time looking for a deep run into the playoffs.
As we prepare to cross the bridge from regular season to the post better.
Hang on because after tonight all roads lead to the Dome we're live for football Fridays in, Georgia.
We have frenzied fans in Flowery Branch ready to kick this one off against an old rival.
Gainesville has come to town as a hunter's.
Moon hangs overhead, and we welcome you to Falcon Field in Flowery Branch.
The football Friday in Georgia tonight.
It's region 85 a action as the Gainesville.
Red elephants, take on the Flowery Branch Falcons.
Let's take a look at the region.
858 standings.
As we head into the final Friday Night of the regular season.
Gainesville already locked into the number two spot.
They can't move up or down, they'll host a playoff game in the state playoffs.
Next Friday night story, different for Flowery Branch.
Their number five.
That means they're on the outside.
Looking in, they must Be Gainesville tonight, and they must hope that Salem losses at 0 and 9 Cedar Shoals.
Just to have a chance to get into the state postseason and good evening.
I'm Matt Stewart joined by Larry Smith.
And larrya.
Obviously, this game means a lot more in the standings of Flowery, Branch and Gainesville, but regardless of what the standing say, this is a rivalry game.
First and foremost.
Yeah, they had to feel.
We had one of the features on the pregame show, they're talking about, it's getting to be a painting, The Rock up.
They were kids here two hours before the game.
I'm not kidding.
Obviously.
It's senior night.
A lot of emotions here for the Flowery Branch people.
But this is the game that both sides, both schools really look forward to on the schedule every season.
Well, Gainesville has had a great run at quarterback, starting with Blake Sims.
He'll be the starting quarterback for Alabama tomorrow against LSU.
DeShaun.
Watson is gone on to Clemson and now senior my chi Gonzalez follows in their footsteps.
Yeah.
He's what a job.
He has done.
He's about our sighs.
He's like 59 160.
He's not the big six.
For kit that Watson was last year, but he's done a really nice job with this team here.
Just one loss on the season.
You see his numbers over 2,200 yards, 25 touchdowns.
Don't let his size of throw you off.
This kid is a real player, a real leader and he makes his friend off.
It's happened for games.
Absolutely.
He has been a three-year back up to DeShaun Watson.
He's been in the quarterback meetings.
He lost only two games as a starting quarterback for the JV team.
The last three years.
Now Flowery Branch will play two different guys at quarterback.
Will start a Nick, laughs, Jason Johnson, a sophomore will also play, but regardless of who plays quarterbacks.
They've got to get a big game from their sophomore running back.
Jeremiah gone.
Yeah.
He's the guy really.
It's gonna make it happen.
If Flowery Branch has a chance to get this Victory.
He can't worry about.
Who is the quarterback?
Who's the guy under Center?
Who's trying to make the passes?
This game is going to depend on.
If he has a big Russian game 839 yards from the Twitter, through the air.
He's a big.
Big gift of sophomore young player here, but he's Falcons, but if he hasn't big game, You can bet flowering branch has a chance of.
He does, not will be much tougher for them, strong and runs low, to the ground, and the Dynamics of tonight's ball, game between Gainesville and Flowery Branch a little bit different than what we've experienced the last couple of years.
Not playing for the region Championship Championship, either, one of them tonight, but Flowery Branch hoping to sneak into the playoffs on the final game of the regular season.
Third member of our team is John Nelson, he's down on the sideline.
Thank you very much, Matt.
And Larry, good evening to all of you.
However, you are accessing us whether it's hero.
GPB TV gpb.org or the GPB Sports app off to the east here at Flowery Branch High School.
The Practice Facility is known as The Proving Ground over, 400 teams have had to go to The Proving Ground since early August for 12 weeks.
And 10 games that end tonight, 405 get trimmed to 192 and two of them are looking for positions right here.
You've heard about how urgency is the way here at Flowery Branch Gainesville.
Looks like they're going to lock into it to see.
See, there are playing games.
There are four teams for three spots.
There are three games for two spots.
Tiebreakers could end up with coin flips at Waffle House's by the end of the evening or by very early and lunchtime tomorrow.
We will have complete coverage as the night goes on as to how things are going to fall out.
Because the road to the Dome really starts tonight.
Let's send it back upstairs to Matt and Larry and let's light the candle from the branch.
No question about that.
You know, it's just we come back up here.
Tom getting ready right now to some of the other pregame things happening.
You can see everyone getting ready, Bruce Miller right there, Bruce Miller, the coach of Gainesville and boy what a job.
He has done here over the years and you talked about to Matt all the players that he's brought through this this program and he's got them ready again for the playoff berth in Gainesville and Bruce Miller, and his 13th season with 137 victories and 28 losses.
And for The Undefeated regular seasons and there's Chris Griffin following in the footsteps of Lee Shaw.
He is the last of original member of leashes coaching staff.
And when they opened this program in 2002, he is now in his third season, as the head coach of record of 20 and 11.
It is his 13th season overall here at the branch and there are the Flowery Branch Falcons in their black and red 5 and 4 overall.
They are four and four and tied for fifth with Clark Central.
Lynne tonight will be the 12th all-time meeting between these two teams with Gainesville.
Posting a 55/45 victory in this ball game.
Last year right here on GPB gainesville's won four out of five since Flowery Branch has only winning streak in the series winning back-to- back games in 2006 and 2007 Flowery Branch has last win in the series was in 2012 when they beat Gainesville 3534, ironically Larry their last one in the series was the year that gave Gainesville went on to win the state championship, that's amazing.
A little bit of bragging rights are so if you look at this rivalry and they can say, yeah, you got the title, but we beat you as well.
Of course, the biggest game in this series was in 2012, when these two programs met in the state semifinals and Gainesville walked away with a 29:21 victory and went on to win the state championship That season.
With a forty nine to 13 victory over Ware County.
Time for our gobuildgeorgia .com kickoff.
Learn a skill.
Build a career, do it now, go build georgia.com.
Great atmosphere first Friday in November.
As we've talked about.
Again, the end of the regular season right down.
This is really has a playoff atmosphere.
Of course the Rivalry, a big part of that, but just the excitement here.
The band has been playing the music playing and we got here about The three hours before kickoff.
They're already kids here.
Already in the stands.
I'm going around the school.
Let's Get It On, we'll fill soon.
Who was just accepted to the Air Force Academy yesterday and congratulations to him will kick things off for Flowery Branch and Mike Bird will Retreat into the end zone and will not be able to return it.
So the 20-yard line is where guns, Alles my chi Gonzalez and the Gainesville red elephants will start their first possession of the ball game.
There is my chi Gonzalez is Larry, told you not a big kid 59 160, Junior.
So he is not really followed physically in the footsteps of Blake Sims and DeShaun Watson, but his production has been very similar.
Well, I think it has been a part of this system for a very long time.
So he knows this offense knows how to run it.
He's very efficient.
Mike bird gets the first hand off of the ball game and my bird has a first down and more Mike Bird crosses the 35 and gets up to the 38 yard line Cortez Davis.
Making the tackle for Flowery Branch know what a great job here by burden.
Watch this as follows his blockers, but a lot of this was on him and just you know, some Firebrand offenders that didn't make the stop Count, the blue shirts that dark shirts right there around him.
That didn't make the tackle, but a big gain and a first down for Gainesville, 18 yard pickup for bird on his very first Carry.
First, passing the ball game is complete out on the far side.
The Chris Williamson, his 32nd catch of the Season as we take a look at the Region's Bank, starting lineup for the red elephants upfront, Singleton Hood car Hayes and night.
The wide receivers Turner, Dorsey, Williamson, and Lackey and bird is the running back.
Mike bird is rushed for 399 yards on the season, coming into tonight's game.
So he's up over 400 already.
He missed three games this year with a broken bone.
In his foot, penalty has been called on Flowery Branch and the Markov will give Gainesville a first down at the 48 yard line.
So First and Ten for the red, elephants defensive holding was the call.
Against Flowery Branch to a first down for the Red.
Elephant, 7 and 2 on the season seven.
And one in the region.
They're only region lost coming to linear 2623 on a last-second.
Field goal down near the new program.
Here in region.
85a will win the region Championship Gonzalez, throws complete to bird, bird substitute a call and another and bird has another big gainer in a first down again for the red elephants at the 37-yard line, 15 yard pickup from Mike Bird.
That's his.
He fourth catch of the Season, he had 209 yards receiving coming into the ball game.
Yeah, watch this watch the top of your screen number three letter and left side of your screen.
Your number three.
That's Messiah doors.
He wants to block.
He puts right there on number 20 and that frees them up right there, for the big gain.
Again, this spread offense, so many weapons, and they work well together.
So, First and Ten for the red elephants, handoff goes to bird again and bird fights forward.
Picks up about six or seven yards on the play.
You saw a gun.
As Allah's hand the ball off to bird and Gonzalez is not the running threat.
That DeShaun Watson, and Blake Sims have been in the past.
He's much more, the passing quarterback, but his numbers are really good.
He's averaging 2:45 in the air, a per game, 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
So a great touchdown to interception ratio as well.
Second down and five hand off to Mike Bird again, and birds got a first down and bird, inside the 30-yard line and down to the 26.
Tackle, made by Tarik jelly.
All the cornerback as we take a look at the Region's Bank starting lineup for the Falcons upfront, Cooper, Jackson and Mathis the linebackers Jones.
Ford, and Smith's Ford is their leading tackler.
And in the secondary, Jalil are a Mio Cooley Harrison and Davis First and Ten.
Now from the 25, Mike Bird, again.
Another solid Gainer from Mike Burg like Zack Smith was in on the tackle.
That time for Flowery Branch.
Yeah.
He did a nice job of shutting off that black and catching up to Burger before he got up a head of the speed and gained even more yards on that.
But what birds alone back there for the red elephants 57 170 pounds.
Senior, whose dad Mike was an outstanding running back at Gainesville back to the 1980s.
That's Messiah Dorsey getting his first Carry of the ball game and Dorsey down to the 15 and close to a first down for messiah.
Dorsey.
That's a nice gain for Gainesville.
But I really like the pursuit right there.
A Flowery Branch and wants just count the dark shirts here following the play everyone on the sidelines yelling out run.
So they're stretching it out touching out.
He's got a lot of bloggers there but a good job by the Falcons to get through all those blockers and keep them to a minimal gain.
That was just the eighth carry of the season for Dorsey.
They have Used him much in the Run game.
Direct snap goes to Dorsey.
So back-to-back carries for dorcy dorcy who is also the backup quarterback for Gainesville down to the 11-yard line picked up four on the play Cold, Ford making his first tackle of the ball game.
Maybe one of those plays are looking ahead to the playoffs and listen to the the pads cracking, right there.
Will you big hits here in Flowery Branch divorcee, a 59 170 pound Junior with 48 catches on The season is run the ball twice already on this series Gonzalez, with time to throw, looking to the endzone back of the end zone and nearly intercepted Williamson.
The intended target, and Paul Jaramillo, nearly had the pick off a horror meal.
What a great job right there.
Once again, as he's looking right there.
Wait, maybe just a moment too soon.
Define his Target that gives Jaramillo a chance to catch up.
Nice defensive play to break up the touchdown.
Sohara meal comes up with a big defensive, play in the back of the end zone, and it brings up third down and five with the ball.
Just shy of the 11-yard line.
This will be the ninth play of the drive for Gainesville that started at their own 20.
Direct snap to dorcy dorcy inside the 5 and Dorsey.
Picks up the first down Messiah Dorsey, you made a great point there.
Larry a few moments ago here in the final game of the regular season Dorsey with three carries on two of them direct snaps on this drives.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Watch this again.
You may be trying to see what some things might work.
Give a little different, a little different wrinkle here, the end of the playoffs as clearly as a very successful play for calling six, the first down for Games built on this.
I've been Solace hands-off to bird and bird will not be able to get around the edge.
Call forward what a great tackle, their mats.
Reached out hung on otherwise bird was in for a touchdown, big play by Cole Ford.
You'll watch.
Number 44.
Team-leading 79th, tackle of the Season 2 already on this opening possession.
61 200 pounds, senior.
Who is committed to Charleston Southern second down and goal.
Gonzalez given time to throw.
Now.
It breaks down in Gonzales, will run, it gets back to about the original line of scrimmage on that run in and out.
It's going to be third down and goal to go who I tell you what Flowery Branch right now.
Really energized on defense.
I think that big play right there on the on the pathway to possible touchdown want just one more time Gonzales with nowhere to go good coverage in the secondary right there by Flowery Branch and the good defensive effort in the home crowd, really?
Come up here, the cowbells, third down.
Third down and goal.
Gonzalez, going up top for Lackey and it's caught by Rodney Lackey for the touchdown falling backwards Rodney.
Lackey with the 4-yard touchdown reception his 10th touchdown catch of the season and Gainesville on top six to nothing.
That's the kind of play that Matt coaches going the film room on Monday and they'll say that's exactly the way you want to do.
This are tcsg touchdown Replay that just a timing.
You work on this all summer long and practice.
You do it probably a thousand times during the year and that's the way it works out.
You throw it up.
Receiver go and find it with his eyes.
Make sure it's Defender to get in the way and it's six points for the red elephants.
Nice touch for my chi Gonzalez.
You see him right there.
Number 12 tacos, Lackey, as they walk to the bench, 26 touchdown pass the deceased for Lackey.
And now Staton the kicker for Gainesville pops, the p80 state and now 22 of 23 on the season, Lackey with the touchdown catch and caps.
A 12-play 80-yard drive.
Look at the Touch by Gonzalez and Lackey backing up, makes the grab football Fridays in Georgia.
On GPB is made possible in part.
By Regions Bank.
It's time to expect more George's.
Electric Membership Corporation lighting, the way technical college system of Georgia.
Learn more earn, more Cigna, go, you and viewers like you.
Thank you.
On Masterpiece.
I'd like to introduce you all to someone very special.
One of the most celebrated photographers in all of the land a nice.
It's time for you to hear the truth.
I've seen things the paradise on masterpiece.
Sunday at eight on GPB.
Gainesville takes the opening kickoff and marches 80 yards for the touchdown, took him 12 plays to cover the 80 yards and the red elephants.
On top 7.
Nothing touchdown pass of Yards to Rodney, Lackey from my chi Gonzalez.
A nice play against.
We mentioned, before the break, nice touch pass.
It's a timing.
You wait, a moment.
Let your receiver make us break.
Get a pass to bump from the defensive back.
Nice.
Very nice job, Matt.
So State and who just put the p80 through will now kick off.
Cortez, Davis and Cooper Harrison standing deep for the Falcons.
And Harrison will take it from the nine.
And Cooper Harrison up to the 31, about a 22 yard return for Cooper, Harrison.
And that's where Flowery Branch will start on offense for the first time as we check in with Grace Olson.
Thank you.
And the endzone behind me.
See, it's bright red.
And there's a number 70 painted in the center of the you'll be seeing that all night long.
This number 70 is to honor, former Flowery Branch offensive.
Lineman Keaton, Coker, Keaton graduated last year.
He was a senior and then he passed away in July when he Life is a battle with brain cancer and he was just known for his positivity and for always giving the thumbs up, thumbs up symbol.
All right, I got to stop there.
Let me send it back up to you guys in the booth.
All right, thank you very much.
You will get more on that story.
Just a tremendous story and how they've, you know, dedicated this field to him.
They retired his number and they wear a patch in his honor.
You see the patch right there on their front of their Jersey in front of Keaton Coker, number 7, who lost his battle with cancer after graduating this past May Tremendous story and shows you what?
He's meant to this team that they remember him this season.
So second down and nine, Nick Lance, The Freshman is in there at quarterback, fires to the other side.
That's complete to Trey.
Wilcoxen and wilcoxen is going to be dropped for a loss.
By the Michael borders, the outside linebacker, Nick Lance, The Freshman quarterback was completed.
Only forty percent of his passes for 567 yards, five touchdowns and 10 interceptions, but he's going to split time tonight with Jason.
To the sophomore.
So as you can tell they're very inexperienced at the signal caller position, third down and long now for Flowery Branch heavy rush and Lance throws complete the Coulee and coolly ball out after the play.
Or was it dead?
No, it's recovered by Gainesville.
What's a tough break for Flowery Branch right there?
What a big hit though to the pump that ball loose.
I was really impressed with Nick.
Lance wants the pressure.
He's under pressure right here, has a presence to get the ball loose, you Valley here for the first down and then here comes a strip right there by borders and were 14.
He makes it happen.
Gainesville on the turnover and they're in good shape and Flowery Branch territory and big old number 54.
Cash.
Jones comes up with the fumble recovery.
After the Strip by Michael De Michael.
Orders and Gainesville has it in Great field position at the Flowery Branch 35 yard line.
Gonzalez, going for the home run.
On the first plays, got wacky who can't keep his feet.
But down inside the fire.
Well, that was a great prank.
Pub play call.
Excuse me, and he's at me to say, break great play call.
I'm just so excited to get her back by Gainesville.
You get even one reeling after the turnover first down.
You want to try to take a deep.
That's what they did.
Once again, Gonzales we've talked about again.
We joked about these 59 but this kid plays big and you could see how again the town.
He has like you said before only two losses as a JV.
Starting quarterback for Gainesville, Mike Bird.
They running to the right and bird, not able to get in there.
TJ, Jackson the nose tackle making the stop for Flowery Branch, but Gainesville on the verge of taking a two-touchdown lead here in the opening eight minutes of the ballgame.
Second down and goal.
Bird again bird no signal from the officials just yet and they're going to rule him down inside the one yard line.
That was close.
But I think everybody wearing white thought that was in.
It's about as close as it gets.
It looks like one more look at it.
Here is our lineup for the third down call bird just a power game inside.
But yeah, he's short third down and goal bird again.
And bird gets stopped at the goal line.
Did not get in according to the officials.
And now it's going to be fourth down and goal.
I want a big stick.
That was watch this play right?
There.
Might have been 44 coal for just right there reaches in grabs him up.
That's a big-time play.
Wow.
Look how close it is just inches, fourth down and goal.
And now Messiah Dorsey in their quarterback to the take, the direct snap, Dorsey ball is fumbled and picked up and still got into the end zone.
What a fortunate, bounce for Gainesville is Williamson.
Dribbled the ball, like a basketball, picked it up and ran it in from one yard out on 4th and goal and it's 13 to nothing Isaiah Thomas on.
That was a bounce pass to it, but, look one more.
Look at this, on the TCS.
G touchdown replay, here's Dorsey.
He's got a lot of options to pitch and he's got to put his hand out.
Knocks it out.
Chris Williamson puts his hand out, knocks it down.
As you've mentioned math.
Very fortunate.
It bounced right back up to him that very easily could have bounced away.
Fortunate bounce for Gainesville on the Rope 13.
Nothing.
Williamson with his seventh touchdown of the Season State and one for the p80.
And it's 14 to nothing five plays.
36 yards on the drive for Gainesville after the fumble recovery by the red elephants and their up two touchdowns here early as we check in with John Nelson.
All right, here's the beginning of election coverage for this evening.
Let's start off with action in region, 7 where the defending champ Norcross and He has to win to get in.
Here's how it looks when it comes to region 7, and it's not looking good right now for Norcross Collins Hill leading 7-nothing after a Pick 6 Norcross turned it over again.
So, Norcross has even got a larger Hill to climb when it comes to just getting into the playoffs Mill Creek Peachtree, Ridge.
Going at it, no report from them.
As of yet.
We're going to keep an eye on this one and a bunch of other games as they go, but our cross literally trouble.
So is Flowery Branch is they are down two touchdowns here.
Seven and a half minutes into the game.
That's could not have been a worse.
Start for Flowery Branch.
This is not we wanted to do, it's one thing to have your, your defense, give up the dry.
But then your offense on it.
So what?
Third play, fumble the ball going to write back to him in a short field and they've got a big hole to climb out of here in the first quarter.
Gainesville riding a three -game winning streak since their one region lost a linear Davis, takes the ball at the 5 and Cortez Davis.
Up to about the 25-yard line and a flag comes out as well on the play.
Charlie would is our referee.
Yeah, let's say there was a face mask because I don't know if we have a replay at an angle that's going to show that but on the tackle it looked like his Cortez Davis has had this helmet kind of went down.
The question was dead, the defender grab the facemask and obviously the referee is saying that he did.
So it's a big big break, 15 -yard penalty.
Now for Flowery Branch that helps them out as they start their second offense experience.
Flowery Branch has run just three plays from scrimmage and they're down 14 to nothing big hill for Chris Griffin's team to climb here.
Nick glanced back in there for a second series at school.
E in motion behind the line.
Wilcoxen gets the handoff and Wilcox and not going very far.
Chris Byrd the linebacker.
Making the tackle, as we take a look at the Region's Bank starting lineup for the Falcons up front Alvarado, psych scroggs Godfrey and Hamilton.
Bennett Cooley Harrison are the wide receivers.
Godson wilcoxon are the running backs.
That's Gosselin.
The carry and Goss has a first down.
Look at him.
Go.
How about that?
Ball popped down.
I believe he was down at the end of the play when they finally stripped him, but that is a big first down carry of 17 yards by Jeremiah Goss flag.
Down to watch the replay on this, as we mentioned in the pregame.
Is what?
Fire Branch needs jogger.
Jeremiah God's doing this?
A boy.
I tell you what, look at those Flowery Branch or make those the Gainesville Defenders working, that strip, the strip works for him on the first drive.
Stripped it there as well.
But there's a flag in the defensive backfield about the 32 yard line.
So, we'll see what that is.
Holding down field, possibly personal foul.
It is against drum roll, please higher Branch, also setting.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I believe it's going to be a dead ball of the end of the play.
So the 17-yard Run by gospel count.
And your eggs up?
Well, Jetsons confusion referees, running the brunt of the ball back to where it was before, but the first down marker is already moved.
Okay, so let's get this cleared up and now we put the ball back.
Okay, so it's up, Matt.
Yes.
You win the price.
You're correct.
77 yd, gains two hands.
Let Me Tell You, Folks.
That's kind of crazy marked off the 15 yards and then marked off the 15 yards.
Back.
How about just do the math and keep the ball where it is?
Seems like that would be the simple thing to do have an our Vantage flow, which is your daddy's food at home as well.
If it's funny to watch the ball, go backward.
While the flags were going forward at the same time.
Hey, so First and Ten for Flowery Branch at the 44, Lance Under Pressure.
He's going to be sacked back at the 46 yard line quarterback, sack for Jamel Dabney his fifth of the season.
So we take a look at the Region's Bank starting lineup for Gainesville on defense Jones, Dabney and Singleton Daphne.
Just got that sack Simpson.
So speedbird and borders in the linebacking corps and in The secondary Turner cousins, Lyles and Blackie.
Matt, why you were give us the starting line up there the defensive line up.
You can see here the referee, there's a call another face mask penalty against Gainesville.
So the big sack right there.
By Dabney looks like for not there to mark off the yardage, and the break for Flowery Branch a first down.
It's just a five-yard Markoff.
Let's check the, check the replay.
It's of the Sakura.
See if we can see a face mask anywhere boy.
It's just a big guy coming right at you and As the face mask looks like yeah, number 43.
Charlie Simpson.
Really Dabney already.
Had him Simpson, trying to come in with the assist and gets a charge with a penalty.
So first down and 14 from the 48 keeper by Goss.
You can tell Goss is a special kind of bag really strong running.
Sophomore likes to lower, that shoulder 58 195 came in with 839 yards on the ground.
Seven touchdowns and averaging 93 yards per day.
Oh watch a you said, just a sophomore.
What's your change?
Directions right there and they're pulling his jersey on the else, take about five white trips, bring him down and he said that he's a special player.
Big play for the Falcons.
Got 11 on that play, and Goss runs it again and picks up a first down at the 31.
They beat Salem last week on a touchdown pass to Jeremiah Goss.
The old hobnail boot play.
That Georgia used to beat Tennessee back when Varane Haynes was the full bag and that was a big win for Flowery Branch to keep their playoff, hopes alive beating Salem on the Seminoles home -field 76.
So First, and Ten now from the 31.
Wilcoxon on the carry.
Tackle made by JD social be so speed.
Their leading tackler.
Number five, the see number five, JD so speed, get in there and make that tackle social be.
Now with the 109 tackles on the season and Jason Johnson.
Number nine.
The sophomore is now checked in at quarterback.
Johnson's more of the running threat and he's going to run it on the very first play, didn't get very far, Chris Lyles the first guy to hit him then social be was in there on that tackle, as well and Lyles in there to Chris Berg was in there as well.
That see, it's supposed to be and you talked about what he's done and take a look at Jason Johnson's numbers.
You mentioned very in experience here at the quarterback position with both of these young men, The Freshman starting and then now Johnson to sophomore, but you know what?
They're moving the ball and and that's all you can ask for right now.
Johnson is their second leading rusher 538 yards rushing on the season.
Fakes the pitch and goes down, Charlie Simpson, making the tackle.
You know, some people might look at that and think that he made the wrong call by holding on to that.
But he had so many guys around him.
That would have been a tough window to try to thread that needle to get it to the running back.
Back behind him and Jeremiah Goss, good call to hold onto it, and not possibly turn the ball over.
Let's see what they do here.
It's fourth down and a long to.
They've got to get to the 21 in.
The ball is just inside the 24.
They keep Jason Johnson in there at quarterback for this fourth down play.
Boss gets the ball and God will not get to the sticks.
Nice, open field Tackle by the linebacker or Todrick.
Turner the corner.
Making that tackle right there.
Number 23 in the balls.
Going to go over on Downs.
Big tackle by Turner.
Yeah.
It was a big stop watching.
How are from the endzone that angle Turner's right there?
He's not there.
It's a first down, and maybe more for Flowery Branch.
A big big play by Turner to force the ball to turnover on Downs, on the replay.
Actually.
It was Lyles the linebacker, Carlisle's the safety, Chris Lyles 22 made that tackle.
So it's going to be First and Ten with the ball.
At the 23 in Gainesville takes over at the defense comes up with the stop.
Under a minute to play here in the first quarter as Gainesville goes back on offense.
Doris.
He gets the screen pass and that's what we were talking about in the All Access pregame show using the field horizontally as well as vertically.
They like to extend the play Bruce Miller says, we like to think of a long sideways passes, just kind of like a toss sweep.
And so they use that as really Kind of an extension of the running game even though it's part of their passing game.
Second down Mike Bird might bird first down.
Bruce Miller said, he's one of those guys.
He's tackled hard to tackle in a phone booth.
Never takes a big shot.
You can see he's very elusive.
Does a lot of movement and juking and dance and no one can ever get a big shot on that guy.
First down, as we're down to our final play of the first quarter.
Bird on the carry, and that's going to bring a first quarter to a close first quarter that belonged to the Gainesville.
Red, elephants, 14-nothing red, elephants leading as they get ready for the state playoffs coming up.
Next week at home, Flowery Branch has to win this game.
They got a big hill to climb after 12 minutes.

Will you stop?
The drop is a gpb.org/ sports, the drop for more information?
It's been all Gainesville so far tonight in the first quarter here at Flowery Branch.
The red elephants up.
14 to nothing heading into the second quarter.
Now, Gainesville has had their fair share of time in big game high-pressure situations, but they didn't NAB that first State title.
Until just a couple of years ago tonight.
That's where our question for you comes in, our social trivia question.
We want to know what team did Gainesville beat in the modern area era.
For their first ever state championship find UB Sports on Twitter?
Find us on Facebook.
Give us that.
Answer and will return in the fourth quarter, with our trivia winner for the night, back up to you, Matt.
Thank you Grace, Mikey Gonzalez, 405 passing for 52 yards and a touchdown to Rodney.
Lackey in that first quarter.
Mike Bird also with a big first quarter as well.
Nine carries for 50 yards and it is second down and four.
As we start the second quarter in the red elephants, already on top 14, nothing ball at their own 44.
Gonzalez, looking to his left rows, underneath, completely Williamson Williams.
He's got a first down and more Chris Williamson.
Still on his feet inside the 40-yard line, Chris Williamson committed to Louisiana, Monroe, back in September, but also getting looks from Wake Forest as well.
And Miami of Ohio, with a big catch right there 18-yard.
Yeah.
Good patients right here, man via Gonzalez to wait, for his receiver to Looks about of all these different many options and a big play for the red elephants.
Thirty third catch of the season for Williamson might bird nothing doing this time.
It was Jonah Mathis the defensive been making the tackle Mathis with his 37th tackle of the season.
Chris Griffin told us the defensive line has been really big for his team this year and it all starts with Mathis up front second down and nine.
Dorsey, the catch Dorsey, got a block from Lackey Dorsey down the sideline, Dorsey finally corralled and shoved out of bounds inside, the 10-yard line, Big Catch, b or c, Watch 13 on the replay.
Lackey through a big block.
He threw a great blog.
And what they've done that all night long to do it very, very well.
In these screenplays blocking for each other flag on the play.
At the end face mask, right there.
We'll take a look right now, the facemask going against Flowery Branch.
So tack on some more yards on top of this one more, look at it here from the high end zone camera.
Great job by these receivers again to really feel for each other.
There's a face mask.
There's no question about it.
You got to be careful.
I know it's frustrating.
Thanks, man, but 3100 a fair middle of yard penalty at the end of the results of the first down.
Dorsey, with his second catch of the night, his 50th catch of the Season.
It was a 28-yard game.
And then you tack on the face mask penalty and its first and goal to go for Gainesville at the 6, bird goes in motion.
They throw the ball out there to it.
Bird runs to the pylon and scores.
And Gainesville open up the can here on Flowery Branch in the opening 13 minutes.
It's 22 nothing.
Well, what a big play right there.
You can't give bird that kind of space in the tcsg touchdown replay.
Watch this here again A bird just so tough.
You can see the angle right there.
He ran right to the hole.
He's got too much speed, too much power.
They were not going to catch him there.
You give him that kind of angle that kind of room and that kind of hole and that's a touchdown every time in I'll do the big lead here as you mentioned early in the second quarter.
So State and comes on for another p80 attempt as bird scores, his first touchdown of the night and his fourth of the season.
And Gainesville is opened up a 21 to nothing lead here in the opening 114 in the second quarter.
Great play right there.
Once again, you know as you watch this Gainesville team and the way they work good.
Look there at the young man Mike Bird.
7 play 23 yards, very quick drive here for Gainesville.
You look at again and what they've done in the spread offense and and we'll talk about this through the night here.
But if you're a sitting at home and you just hear the word spread offense and you get doesn't really mean anything to you, really watch.
And see how they Use the entire field of we talked to the all access pass pregame show they go, sideline to sideline, use the entire field of force, the defense to spread out as well.
And again, they create some holes.
It just so much harder to cover them.
All these different weapons that they have.
It creates so many opportunities.
So many chances to get things done with this games, will often, that's when there are 21, nothing already.
Bruce Miller told us that his team surprises him every game.
They've had an inordinate amount of injuries this season, like they've never Had before but they are now getting everybody back and he feels like he's got a team that's going to surprise some people in the state playoffs.
They have won their seven region games by an average of 30 points and they look like they're in route to doing that again here tonight against their rival.
Davis from inside the five.
And Cortez Davis, scream squirms forward to the 25-yard line.
And now Flowery Branch in a deep hole will start on offense in their own territory.
And the question now is Matt.
If you're Flowery Branch and offense, what do you do?
You go with landsat, your quarterback more, the the passer Johnson, the quarterback more.
The runner though.
He knew we'd see both quarterbacks.
We've seen both Johnson was working very furiously passing on the sidelines during that last drive and he's the quarterback out for them now, but you're down 21-nothing, you've got, and the thing is, they moved the ball, but just turnovers and the failure on fourth down is kept out of the end zone.
So First and Ten ball at the 25, Hardline.
Johnson ball.
Batted down by Jaramillo.
Pardon me.
That was really Brooks Army.
031 for the other side.
Willie, Brooks with the bat down.
Nice play by Willie Brooks the line.
Back.
Brooks.
Nice job right here.
Just to waste time.
Very nice.
So, second down and ten, following the big play by Willie.
Brooks a 61 175 pound.
Sophomore.
25 tackles on the season and a couple of sacks.
No, Running Room right there for Gauss social be with his fourth tackle of the ball game.
Number 5, JD sews.
Be team-leading.
108 tackles on the season.
Six tackles for loss committed to Charleston.
Southern just last Friday night, strong 6-foot 245 pounds, senior, third down, and seven.
Pitch to wilcoxon Bald on the ground.
Recovered by cast Jones.
Nope, cash.
Not the NFL.
You can't pick it up and run.
Second fumble recovery of the Ballgame forecast.
Jones and Gainesville.
Has it inside the 20 yard line.
Yeah, one more.
Look at this.
This is just a Gainesville defense.
Watch all the white shirts here right around the Johnson nowhere to go late pitch.
We talked before about that.
He held onto the ball.
The last time didn't pitch it without pointing to a third-down had to do something.
Wasn't a very good pitch.
Watch right here.
You want to get it to where that threw it too hard.
You gotta give it a toss and kind of louder.
They're running back to It in stride.
He got a flung it at him.
I left off his forearm.
It's a fumble and boy, what a gift for Gainesville.
They are now deep.
Second, turnover, as you mentioned, second, fumble, that they've recovered their now deep and Flowery Branch territory already up 21 nothing.
And now very close to the Beginning of the End Zone again.
Take a look at the Gainesville.
Red elephants resume, 2012, state champions won't tell you who they beat.
That's our trivia question tonight.
They've made the quarterfinals or better.
Five of the last six years, record, since 2008, a stout seventy nine and thirteen.
They've 129 region titles had their streak of five and six years, snapped, here this season, they will not win the region title this year and former coach Bobby, grune 254 and 104 in 30 years, as the head coach.
In fact, the field there in Gainesville named in his honor.
John.
Let's check out the scoreboard.
Here on the final Friday night.
All right, guys, let's go down to region 16a and it's a big night for Lowndes and tipped because it's win and you're in lose, you go home, but the larger news right now is that Camden is making an early statement Camden?
No shot at making the playoffs.
They're beating Colquitt early 7 to nothing.
Valdosta beating Lee 723 that determines the 2 and the 3 seed out of that region and the tick game.
The other game that's going on right now with Lowndes and tip right now.
Tip is leading Lounge, three to nothing.
So things could get very interesting because this region one plays region to it.
Send it back upstairs more in a bit.
Alright John.
Thank you.
It's First and Ten now for Gainesville ball at the 16 yard line Mike bird on the Cari Cole Ford makes his fifth tackle of the ball game.
Cole, Ford likes to hit people, doesn't he?
I mean, he died.
He doesn't shy away from anybody.
Birds having a very nice game, but he'll have a nightmare or two about that.
Big number 44 coming at him and we had that play there in the first quarter.
Where was for third and goal, third, and goal from the one right there, fill the Gap flung, burned to the ground and stuck them right there as well.
Ball at the 14, Smith goes in motion, Gonzalez goes to the endzone, jump ball and over the outstretched hands of Messiah Dorsey.
And now it's going to be third down at just boy.
I tell you what, that's one.
They guns Alice, I guarantee you would love to have back, just watch this.
He just overthrew was targeted.
We talked with this a timing play.
He's waiting and waiting throws it up too high.
He waits an extra s. It's another touchdown pass for.
Third down and eight.
Gonzalez, drops it over the middle to Messiah.
Dorsey for a first down inside the five Cole Ford, making another tackle, but that might just be delaying the inevitable as Gainesville on the verge of their fourth touchdown here.
Well, so many weapons and they put them in so many places.
So here you put Messiah Dorsey and he's out there.
And then the flat this time.
You just quick little slant inside short, pass to him, and they almost get to me.
Tolman proposed again.
First down, Dorsey with his third catch of the ball game.
That one went for 14 and the run, up the middle and stopped inside the one yard line Mike.
Bird on the Run.
They just look around and bird Williamson Dorsey.
Lackey.
We haven't Turner's and offense to haven't called his number yet, but he's out there, but they're all great athletic weapons.
They put them in so many different places.
It's tougher defense, keep up with them third and goal from the 1, one more second and goal from the 1 and bird gets stopped again at the one yard line and didn't get in.
Well, I could ever right there.
So now it's going to be third down and goal Larry before.
When they got into the situation.
They brought Dorsey into play the Wildcat and did direct snap to him, but they keep Gonzalez in their quarterback at least for right now.
Third down and goal.
Bird crashes into the end zone.
This time second touchdown run of the night for bird and it is 27 to nothing.
Welcome to the Aviary.
It's the bird show right here.
Tcsg touchdown replay.
And again Bernard deny.
The last time will not be denied.
This time.
Great walking her and front Flowery Branch trying to put up the stance right there.
Trying to keep him out, Zach Smith doing all he can, but he was already in our meal there as well.
27, nothing now in Gainesville on top and he talked to in the pregame the big thing.
Just don't get injured.
You're already headed to the playoffs work.
On some things, Leigh, tough.
All the way through extra point is good 28-nothing.
Now, Gainesville not invite to the second quarter halfway through the second quarter.
Mike Bird crashes in from the 1 yard line after the fumble by Flowery, Branch set up the short score.
The new College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience, put stands closer to the game experience featuring over 30,000 square feet of college football interactive exhibits.
Tickets available at CFB, Hall.com.
Things go.
All gainesville's way here on the final Friday Night of the regular season four minutes into the second quarter red.
Elephants already have a 28 to nothing lead on Flowery Branch tough night for head coach.
Chris Griffin as we check in with Jon Nelson down on the sidewalk.
Yeah.
It's been a tough night for Chris Griffin.
But what we did yesterday is Phil Proctor and I took a trip up to Rabun County caught up with his predecessor Alicia the guy who built the program at Flowery Branch in kind of did a little bit of a word association.
So when I say Chris, Griffin to leash Ali.
What comes to mind?
It was in the Foxhole women from day one.
He was my DC Young coach.
He grew with me and building the branch and now he's in command of that ship and I'm proud of them doing a great job.
It's facing adversity this year with all the hard that we went through together, through those early years, this prepared him for what he's dealing with right now.
So that's what, that's what Chris Griffin means to Li Shan what they both mean to Flowery Branch more scores in.
At next time we come down back to you Matt.
Thank you.
John.
And Leigh Shaw means winds wherever he goes.
He's now in his third season at Rabun County and they are 21 and 10.
He led the Wildcats to the state playoffs in their first two seasons there for their first postseason.
Appearances, since 1998 and leashes, Rabun County, Wildcats are seven, and two going into their regular season finale tonight.
He was the architect of this program, starting it in 2010 is last 10 years at the helm of this program.
Lee Shaw was 79 and 41.
It is 10 years.
Actually, I should say it is last seven years, 73 and 17.
Chris Griffin.
Who is the last original member of leashes coaching staff that he put together in 2002.
Having a tough night here tonight.
Gosh, on the carry with Nick glanced, back in their quarterback.
And this word as a coach.
This is where you were hurting your money.
He just gets focused and it's and it's still very, very early.
Let's get it.
Sustained a dry here.
You've moved the ball, hold onto the ball, to the Gainesville touchdowns have come off, fumbles of giving them a short field.
Let's move the ball as make this happen.
Do what we know to do.
Let's get it on the board.
God's running the ball.
Picked up about a yard on the play and might have fumbled again.
Gainesville, indicates that they've got the ball.
They're going to call the say his knee was down.
Chris bird came out of there with the fumble recovery.
Birds, one of those guys that was injured this year, along with his brother, Mike and the back.
They've got the bird Brothers back is reason of great optimism from Gainesville here, going into the state playoffs.
That ball was out.
Ball was out wasn't as hell.
It's Flowery Branch got a break and they need one down, 28 to nothing.
Third down now Lance throws ball.
Might have been deflected by the Michael borders.
Either that or it was just Way Off the Mark and it's Fourth Down.
Here's how this game is gone so far.
Matt.
We're halfway through the second quarter.
It's 28-nothing.
This is their first punt from Flowery Branch.
First part of the game for either side.
I can do your analysis game has been good for Gainesville.
Bad for Flowery Branch.
Are you back to you have a rod?
Oh, boom!
Kick from chewy Alvarado.
Williamson drops.
It.
Did he hop back on top of it?
Or does Flowery Branch ever?
And it looks like Lisa, Simpson was able to get on top of that thing.
Nope, Simpson came out of the pile with the football, hold that the officials.
Say it belongs to Flowery Branch at the house.
That's a big big play for firebrands.
You can seem get energized right here.
Let's watch it again and waves and takes out the ball.
You look what?
He's already looking down field before the ball.
Hits him right there.
Before he catches the ball and looks like a right there.
Number 20 on the wow.
I mean, the fifth.
Tariq Jalil.
Will Jalil had it.
And it looked like, Geumsan, took it back from him, right there.
Look at that.
No, Williamson, never had it.
Simpson jumped in there and he came away with it.
But they say that Flowery Branch has the ball and a timeout called by Flowery Branch.
Right here.
You got a time out a flower branch of time out.
And Coach.
Griffin is not happy about something right there.
He sent John to make out as the quarterback, but he's looking over here to the sign.
I'm not sure if there's a player supposed to be out there and mr. Simon to not sure what it is, but he's not happy.
But this is a, this is the break that fire branch.
Has needed again.
They've given the ball away twice Folly a takeaway.
And finally, you get the ball in the Gainesville territory for only the second time, this game.
Well, Larry, if you don´t have the GPB Sports app yet, when you don't know what you're missing.
You can watch tonight's game live on the app.
If you have to leave home, which you have done.
You've left home.

So Flowery Branch with the ball at the 29.
Jason Johnson back in their quarterback.
He drops it.
Picks it up.
Johnson able to recover and get the ball back, past the line of scrimmage.
Chris Williamson, who just fumbled, the pot makes his third tackle of the ball game.
Jason Johnson is completed, only 34 percent of his passes, this season, three touchdowns and five interceptions, only 275 yards.
He has twice as many yards on the ground as he does in the air.
They started out as a spread team as the season went on involved into a two back run oriented.
Team Johnson going to the air and incomplete looking for Kyle King over there on the far.
Double coverage, Lewis cousins the safety in there on the coverage and its third down a night.
I thought, one of the Falcons Lyman might have moved bitterly there, but it wasn't called said, third and long.
Now for Flowery Branch.
They need to make something happen here.
They've moved the ball.
Only one yard since recovering.
The fumble handoff goes to Cortese.
Davis and Davis stopped at the 26.
Picked up only two on the play and it's going to be fourth down and they'll likely be going for it down for touchdowns.
But having gone to Jeremiah God's your one more.
Look at this.
The good defense by Gainesville Fortes King and side.
And once again, when we heard the big smack big pop of the pads and they're on that hits a big number 74.
Jamela, Dabney.
Fourth down.
Johnson pocket for him, throws complete ball knocked loose, nice defensive play by Todrick Turner to jar.
Cooley loose of the pass completion.
That would have been a first down, but a big hit by Todrick.
Turner separates Cooley from the ball.
Ball goes over on that.
Yeah.
It's a come and look at this.
And once again, great protection, it all kinds of time.
Inside.
I like adding weights, finds his receiver.
That's just a perfectly timed play right there.
By Todd returner.
One more look at it here from The End Zone.
He sees Eating wait for him to catch the ball times as hit puts his helmet on the ball.
Not on the man incomplete.
Pass ball goes to Gainesville.
So ball at the 25.
Now, Gainesville back on offense.
Mike bird gets the handoff, my bird up to the 43, bird picks up 18 on the play.
Well, again, he's, we talked about again, the spread offense, and there's not that many dark jerseys around because you have to account for so much of the field.
You can't, you'll focus in on just a line of scrimmage and where the ball is, they gave him a lot of room to run and the big play another first down, 14 carries 16.
Yards for Birds a night.
Cole Ford was the first guy to hit bird as he just did get back to the line of scrimmage.
That's good.
Hitting right there on defense.
Woodall was in there.
Second down and ten for the red elephants approaching four minutes to play here.
In the first half Gainesville on top.
They can't move up or down in the standings.
They're locked in at number 2.
They'll be hosting the 3rd team out of region 7 in the state playoffs next week.
Gonzales up top got Williamson open that's going to be a touchdown.
57 yard touchdown pass from Mikey Gonzales to Chris Williamson.
It is 34, do nothing.
Well, would you say earlier good for Gainesville, bad for flowers, fire Branch?
It's just a play right there that again.
So many different weapons.
We talk about Williamson Williamson.
Now has two touchdowns.
Bird has two touchdowns Gonzalez three scoring tosses.
It's gone very, very well for the red elephants.
Williamson with his second touchdown of the night.
Stating on for the p80, 35 to nothing.
I tell you what, you got to be impressed, Larry with this Mikey Gonzales.
He's not DeShaun Watson, physically by any means, but he is really affected.
I often say I'm impressed.
He sells a play-action fake right there.
Very well, the tcsg touchdown replay.
That's a perfect.
Tasha throw it up.
You know what Williamson's got in terms of his speed, put it right on the money right there.
Great job by Williams had to use his hands reach out for the ball.
I agree with you.
What's it now?
28, touchdown passes on the Year.
We're guns out lives.
He has completed over 70 percent of his passes on the season.
Coming into tonight's game e, seven of nine tonight for 155 and three touchdowns in the first half in the first half.
Yeah.
He's a good-looking player, make smart decisions.
He had a big 304 yard passing game against Clark central, three weeks ago.
If he stays in the Ballgame long enough tonight, which I doubt he's going to.
He could best that this evening, but I don't think you'll be playing much of the second half.
That's why again, you can't talk about a guy in the stats.
He's this tall and weighs this much, whatever.
It's all hard and talent.
You talked about the job you did at the JV quarterback at Gainesville.
And right now, again, it's got Gainesville well on its way to another victory.
Here, there's something to be said for delayed gratification and waiting your turn.
And that's been the story for my chi Gonzalez as he waited to be the quarterback there at Gainesville.
They reverse the kickoff Cooper Harrison on the return Nike Gonzalez over on the sideline, glad handshake there with his third touchdown pass the night.
He's thrown a 4-yard touchdown strike to Lackey six, yard pass to bird and a 57-yard strike Williams.
He's tried to ignore the camera.
You can't ignore the camera shot and he's trying to think of, you know, what would wear my hero do?
What?
He get a bottle again.
Yeah.
I'll drink some water.
There you are.
Mom, it's say hi Mom.
Come on, it's all you.
It's a living.
He hasn't done.
Yet is wave at the camera and say hi Mom.
So First and Ten from the 22 Wilcox and gets Body, Slam in the back at the 15-yard line.
That was Jamel Dabney, who's already got a quarterback sack in this game with the WWE body slam on Wilcox.
That's right.
Look at this.
Boom.
Say something.
I'm up here in the booth.
I'll have nightmares about that.
Me to the height.
That's how How scary this kid has been in the first half.
He's a beast.
Six foot two hundred and fifty pounds senior with 70 tackles on the season, coming into tonight.
Goalie truly rather.
Pardon me with the reception and fully up to about the 28 yard line tackle made by Chris Liles.
Yeah, but I like that play to get it out there in the flat.
Nothing's going underneath right here.
But again watch this hit once again, these guys are really hitting.
This is Lyles comes in and then there's bird the other bird Chris Byrd.
And like I said, the bird brothers getting those guys back, that's huge for Gainesville going into the playoffs.
Blitz coming.
They set up the screen to goss set up.
Well and Gauss keeps his feet up to the 39 has a first down, great balance by Jeremiah Goss, right?
There is a great job by God's but I tell you what if you watch the replay here if we have a shot of it see if we do, he missed the guy wide open in the flat right there.
But again good job here by Johnson.
Hey, you can never go wrong at the ball and Jeremiah God's hands and he makes a does the rest great job there again.
It's his knee was not down.
He went down.
On top of the defender.
We've got an injured player on the field right now.
That's Chris Lyles, the linebacker shaken up on the play and he is slow walking off the field.
And that's the one thing they do not want.
They don't want any more injuries here.
That's Caleb.
Megan's in the defensive end.
He might have been shaken up to.
We might have had two players.
Megan sun' and Lyles both shaken up on the play.
Stop.
The drop is an initiative dedicated to preventing High School, dropouts.
We're asking.
Students do their part by finding out how the problem affects their community and preparing a 30-second PSA that tells us all about it.
The best PSA wins.
A 2500 dollar scholarship, find out more at gpb.org cam.
Stop the drop.
Coach Griffin.
Tell him to stop dropping the ball.
They've done a lot of that in this ballgame turnovers have been detrimental to their cause and their down 35 to nothing here in the first half.
It's Griffin played at Stephens County, High School up the road and Northeast, Georgia played for head coach Rodney Walker.
Team made a chip Walkers.
Now, the state championship coach at Sandy Creek, double move, right here.
And then, Johnson rolls to the other side and we'll run with it.
Not much doing.
The Michael daughter is making the tackle for Gainesville and nice job in the secondary.
Thereby, Gainesville.
One more.
Look at it here, the double pump and it wasn't there.
Watch him.
He wants to go to his left, but you see there.
You see the the linebacker fall back.
That was a Turner.
Not sure who that was, but you can see him on the on on the puck.
He runs back to cover.
The receiver wasn't there.
Good job by Gainesville second down Johnson now being pressured and running slips, a tackle picks up the first down and Johnson scrambles out across the 50 yard line.
Tray Harris, making the tackle for Gainesville that Johnson able to move the sticks for Flowery Branch with an 11-yard pickup.
Well, one thing he's looking right now, again, as you mentioned, You said, second -best.
I think you said s top runner on this team.
But what he's doing right now is the passing game.
It's forcing the secondary.
The linebackers to play back a little bit.
When if you give beats the rush, which he's done a couple of times.
He's got some yards.
You can you can run.
Goss over here on the near side.
Borders makes the tackle, gets him on the ground.
Cash Jones in on that tackle as well.
I know what the Falcons are trying to do, but I don't like that play because you're putting the ball and birds in a God's hands.
It's what you want.
The problem is, he's got two Defenders right there.
So the chances of him to move the ball are minimal with the Defenders, right?
This faced.
By the time, you get the ball in his hands.
Second down and ten Johnson, heavy rush off the edge from the backside thrown complete to truly and coolly Out of Bounds at the 41.
And one more look right here, again, a lot of passing fake to goss, mushroom.
He felt that pressure behind him or not, but he got the ball away.
Johnson.
That is nice play for a game.
It's brings up third and short.
Now, third and three from the 42.
Third catch for He had nine catches and their first nine games.
Johnson again, Simpson with a heavy Rush.
Coming off, the edge Cooley the intended.
Target took a big hit at the end of the play, and a flag comes out, Todrick.
Turner hit him.
I don't know.
Yeah, I think a defenseless receiver is what they're going to call in this.
If you look at it, he's out.
Stretch going for the ball.
Turn her goals for the hit.
It big ball was not catchable.
I think that's what his determination was.
Yeah, personal foul hitting a defenseless receiver.
That's a tough call.
But on the replay, I think, I think you'll see where he calls.
Here.
Watch number 23 is a tundra Turner and white Johnson looking again, similar play.
They ran the play before.
The balls already away.
And he takes the shot in the, in the side.
So, this should give well Brian's first down personal foul.
On the defense, 15-yard penalty was 132, less 131 left.
That'll move the ball to the 26.
Flowery Branch tries to get on the board here before the end of the first half.
Jason Johnson is played most of the schema quarterback after Nick, Lance started.
And Flowery Branch fell behind big Johnson, running and Johnson.
Not going anywhere ran right into cash, cow bones, and makes him pay for that mistake.
Cash is money.
Yeah, once again watch the defense right here.
You want to throw the ball, but again give credit to the secondary covering all Targets.
Nobody there had a shot right there, but he didn't see him all the time.
As receiver finally got free and then it's all over.
Gosh, run out of bounds by bird.
25 yard line.
So they get the ball about a yard beyond the original marker.
And now it's going to be third down and a long nine with under a minute, to play in the half.
You watch this Gainesville defense.
It's like hitting guys is like food to them.
I mean, it is not sure I've seen a team this year, hit on every single play.
The way, the red elephants.
Do they really come after you?
Johnson had cool detail.
Open in misty.
So now it's going to be fourth down.
Remember I told you Johnson was 34% on his passes.
He had a wide-open Cooley right there for a touchdown and just Mystic.
At stuff.
You talk about the timing.
He's a young player, a sophomore on the other side.
Look at a Gonzales, a senior done.
This longer Got The Touch noses receivers, put the balls in the right place Johnson will get there.
He's just young 5 a 9 for 30 yards.
This is fourth and long.
Johnson intercepted at the 6 yard line, intercepted by Chris Lyles first interception of the season for miles and the 10th for Gainesville this season and the third turnover of this half.
Now, for this Flowery Branch offense, and you mentioned before, in terms of this was one, that was not even close.
It is again, a think of maturity.
He'll get better at this.
This he's looking through his all of his different receivers.
Throws overthrows Cooley by about 8 yards.
That was an easy pick course.
The ball would have been Gainesville.
Anyway, it was fourth down, but it goes down as a turnover.
So Gainesville takes over inside the 10-yard line.
Looks like they go to a safety formation here, just to take a knee and in the half and why not Gainesville has a 35 to nothing lead, as we wind down the clock here in the second quarter, again, Gainesville at this point, they could go into the locker room and start pulling out film of the third team in region.
7, start preparing for that game.
If that's what's necessary.
Next on their calendar, Flowery Branch barring some kind of a miracle going to miss the playoffs.
And Gainesville with a 35 to nothing lead as we reach the halftime marker.
Mikey Gonzalez with three touchdown passes in that first half, 155 yards in the air, Mike Bird.
69 yards, rushing 24 yards, receiving and just a big old first half of the Gainesville red elephants, as they ran over Flowery Branch in the first 24 minutes down to Jon Nelson with Bruce Miller.
Thank you Matt.
Okay, I'll bite.
What do you think?
You need to work on after that first half?
Mr. Hyde?
Guys come back on us.

Keep playing good and we get we get to this point in the season.
You want to be playing good and at the same time, it's you get that first score.
Then everything's going downhill and it seemed almost flowing and floating out there.
Point there.
We'd read it head of Rhythm on offense.
We had a good Rhythm.
I guys upstairs did a good job and we're just in defense.
He's playing good.
We just got to keep it up.
Right?
Go, keep it up.
All right.
Thanks, John.

What animal recently born at the Los Angeles Zoo was their first in 26 years.
Was it a A white tiger.
Be a white rhino.
See a Silverback Gorilla, or d a hippopotamus.
I'm gonna take a guess and go white tiger.
Was it?
White tiger?
Wow, it was the hippopotamus.
So if you got me on that one too, but I'm just gues, White Tiger goes, it's a little unusual.
There ain't nothing wrong with that.
Once again.

A piece Jefferson and Hart County.

That's 1414 tied, Buford all over Stevens County 42, the zipper complete Georgia, high school, football score.
Where's download the GPB sports app for your iPhone, or your iPad?

The rest of the season, gbb is your home for high school football because nobody does high school football like GPB.
All right, Jon Nelson.
He joins us for another edition of back, roads and back fields, brought to you by the Georgia cotton commission, the Natural Choice for Georgia and you've got the story of a team and a player that is trailing or running in the footsteps of Herschel Walker.
And there are very few people that have been catching up with one dragon.
In particular gonna spend some time.
It Pickens catch up with the dragons as they chase after something that they've never done before.
The Pickens football program started in 1957 and you can count the number of double digit win season and playoff wins without even opening up.
Your hand neither has been a part of the Dragons history.
But under third year, coach Chris Parker, the team has had steady growth and could accomplish both over the next few weeks.
You know, we've it's not been as quick a process, as maybe like I worked at Chapel Hill previously.
And in the first year, I was there.
We won a lot of games and here we've had to earn it and it's been, it's been a fun, three years combined.
And we look for, for Really growing on it, and in doing more things.
Let's make great, like, freshman year.
We only won one game, and then we got coach Parker new head coach.
And we saw an I formation when the spread now, we were five and five.
And first year, he came and then six and four and I were sitting at 71.
So it's been, it's been great to have him come in and change it and see it successful.
And for those from Jasper who remember the successes under coaches, like Sewell Loudermilk and Enos, the current group, reminds them of what has been and what could be over.
Our time while know there's a lot of memories in the community that that are real Advocate about football and we'll just want to see us succeed.
I know it's real good for them and refreshing to see something like this happen.
The only High School in this County.
So the whole Community Gets behind just and they support us and it's real nice to be living in a small town and everybody Sportsman.
Brooks has been the Bell cow in the benefactor of the offense this year, with over 2,000 yards, rushing the only back in the state that can say that.
But yards mean nothing without wins and accomplishing one win in particular, Pickens has had Around 60, football teams and they made the playoffs seven or eight times, but they've never won in the playoffs.
And so, our goal all along has kind of been to get that first playoff win.
And of course clinching a playoff berth ensures, you got a chance and now we got to play these last few games with a chance to maybe get a better seed or put ourselves in a better position.
But but the goal is kind of to get in the playoffs win one game and then, of course, you win one, you want to keep trying to win the next one.
So you saw the score at the half.
We'll let you know what happens with the dragons as they chase Cartersville here in the third and fourth quarter.
All right, John back, roads and back fields brought to you by the Georgia cotton commission, the Natural Choice for Georgia.
We're short on time.
Got to go.
Bye.
All right.

Oh, let's throw those photos up.
We have some photos for you guys to see it when he was a little boy.
We have a baby photo.
All right, let's move on to the question.
Okay, question for tonight.
What is his favorite career moment, especially now that he's a senior so I couldn't hear the question.
What's his favorite career moment.
I would have to say maybe his interception for a touchdown and Apalachee.
He told me to come back when against a Elam.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, I can see that I could see that.
Alrighty.
Well guys, thank you for joining us.

Flowery Branch getting ready for the second 24 minutes.
35.
Nothing Gainesville at the break here with the coach.
Would you talk to him about it?
The half just not giving up an obviously, we've made a lot of mistakes and not playing very good football right now, but we know how we're supposed to play the game.
We, you know, regardless of the school board, the mistakes and the hustle and the Simon issues.
We've got to get those things fixed and they've got that same expectation that I've Hopefully we'll play a little better this way.
I am.
All right, looking forward to it.
Thank you.
All right, that's it.
The head coach Downs.
Here.
Let's send it back upstairs, and we got highlights and stuff.
Matt.
All right, John.
Yeah, indeed.
Larry.
What a tough first half for Flowery Branch on the flipside of that Gainesville.
Looks like they're ready for the state playoffs.
Yeah, they look outstanding and on both sides of the ball.
I mean they're we've talked about we haven't seen a team hit like this maybe in all season long.
The one of the toughest hitting defense is they created an opportunity scoring opportunities with their defense and it's while their offense Make it happen.
They were never stop the entire first half.
Let's look at those first half.
Highlights opening Drive, Gainesville, goes 80 yards, 12 plays for yard touchdown.
Pass from Gonzales to Lackey and we talked about the timing of that and then again, here's where Tom what the defense the strip right here.
He stopped going for it.
And this is the third play from scrimmage on offense.
Sets up.
Another touchdown cash.
Jones gets the fumble recovery.
They turn that into a fortuitous.
One yard touchdown run by Williamson is the ball.
Bounced back up to him than Gonzalez.
Slings it out there to bird.
First of his two touchdowns on the first half.
Yeah, Gonzales outstanding.
Watch this here again.
Nice, fake.
They're on the Run waits for his receiver Williamson to get open.
57 yards, three touchdowns in the first half for that young Michael Gonzalez and a dominating statistical tally, therefore Gainesville as well 239 to 80 in the total yards 5:46 in the first downs, but the big story is you mentioned already Larry three turnovers, and they have really hurt Flowery Branch bathroom.
Yeah, and not even a single punt as well for Gainesville.
The 35W saw one stat as well.
They are 444 in the Red Zone.
When they get the ball there, punching it right.
In Flowery Branch has got to figure out some kind of magic potion here, after Halloween to make this turn this game around, and make it competitive here in the second half and try to get a win out of this.
I think the big question for Bruce Miller is how long does he play his starters?
Not that they need rest, but you just don't want to do anything.
You don't want anybody to get hurt here in the second half of a game that you've already won and whether you Win it or lose it.
It doesn't matter.
You're hosting a first-round State Playoff game next week, right?
Your positioning is the same and we talked about that beforehand before the game, and that in the All Access pregame show that, you know, you really need again.
The number one thing of your Gainesville.
The number one objective tonight is to make sure you come out of this unscathed.
We saw a couple of players go out on one play.
Both were struggling a little bit of injuries right there.
We don't know how severe they were but you're right.
This is a team right now.
Bruce Motors guys, really clicking on all cylinders doing everything right?
It's you.
Set on both ends of the ball.
That's the one thing you don't want to do, is risk, any kind of injury.
What a job that Bruce Miller has done here in his 13th.
Season in Gainesville.
They had gone 15 years without a playoff win before Miller arrived.
And since he's been there.
They've won the 2012 State title.
They played in the finals in 2009.
They've been in three.
Semifinals to quarterfinals.
He has just done an incredible job.
One 137 games in his 13 Seasons, 205 games overall in twenty seven seasons.
The head coach and it's really interesting.
As you look at the Bruce Miller resume, the first 11 years of his head coaching career nine of which were we're at Cass in Cartersville.
He was he was 33 and 72 as first eleven Seasons his 16 Season since he's 172 and 36.
He found the magic potion done things around.
Not a book in the library or something, right.
How to coach.
That's right.
Ball kicks into the end zone.
So we start the third quarter with our gobuildgeorgia.com kickoff.
Lord of skill, build a career, do it now, at gobuildgeorgia.com.
And so 20-yard line is where Flowery Branch will start on offense to begin this third quarter.
We'll see if Nick Lance goes back out there as the quarterback, and it's Jason Johnson who finished up that first half and played.
Most of that first, half after Lance played the first couple of series Johnson, 6, carry, 16 yards, five attempts.
Same for 30 yards also threw an interception.
And they start the third quarter with a run by wilcoxon and Tre Wilcox.
And picks up the first down at the 37 yard line.
Before finally, being corralled by Chris Lyles making his sixth tackle of the night.
That's a great start.
If you're the Flowery Branch Falcons, right?
They're not, it wasn't Johnson and wasn't bird.
It's wilcoxon.
He didn't get much done in the first half, but he breaks free, couple of nice broken, tackles a big gain.
Good boots, this offense.
So there's no such thing as good news, when you're down, 35 nothing but a team like Gainesville would be be Better Built to, at least make a run.
This is a Flowery Branch team that has not been effective in the passing game all year.
It has been a run oriented team and that's how they've won three games in a row since starting the season 2 and 4.
They started running the ball, but down five scores here.
It's going to be difficult for them to come back on the ground.
I tell you what, though, I like that.
The first to play.
Since coming to the start, the second half were large gains.
Its I don't not sure they did that the entire first half Johnson and through the hands of Christian vinegar.
Well, that's tough in the game like this.
You can't afford eyedrops.
We talked to the first half, but Johnson being off the mark, but he was on the money on that one more.
Look at it here.
Nice short play, try to get a first down and right through his hands.
Like to have that one back.
So, third down and four ball at the 42.
Hand off the Gulf.
First down for golf Gods, finally, shut down about at the 36 yard line by Chris Byrd.
24 yard pickup for Jeremiah Goss.
Matha need more than that.
Jeremiah bird.
We were generally gone.
So I apologize.
We talked about in the pregame the he has a big game for this team to have a success.
I like right there.
You can see the play develop.
He was gonna break it outside like to see more of them from him 66 yards on 19 carries.
For Gauss wilcoxon, Sprint's to the top of your screen Johnson, fires complete and that's coulis with his fourth.
Catch of the ball game.
Hayden Cooley had three catches for 26 yards in the first half, has a fourth catch right there.
Well, it seems like right now, the Johnson in his receivers are just a bit more in tune.
They were in the first half, we had to drop pass a moment ago.
But otherwise everyone seems to be clicking for the first time in this game on the Flowery Branch office.
Nice, Chris.
Just drive here by Flowery.
Branch has Gauss runs for the first down inside the 25.
One more.
Look at this.
Goss.
Once again, shifting peaches, it's like his feet.
Moving double time, just a sophomore.
Timmy carry 73 yards for Goss.
Johnson running option pitches to gosh.
He fumbles the ball and it rolls out of bounds forward for Flowery.
Branch and Goss has shaken up.
Well Johnson's, got a, you got to learn how to make that pitch.
That's twice.
He's fired the ball to guy and not given the toss.
Watch how hard he tosses this.
Boom.
That's hard and it's up here.
It's got to be down low if it's gonna be that hard.
God's got landed on right there, and by Sophie and hopefully, Well, they can ill afford to lose Jeremiah Goss.
He still down, that's not good.
He was down on the ground.
And the Gainesville Defender JD Sosa be.
Well, the good news is they're not looking at his leg.
Let's take a look at the Gainesville red elephants.
Next Level.
Blake Sims.
You heard of him?
Yeah.
Starting quarterback for Alabama playing LSU tomorrow.
DeShaun Watson.
Now at Clemson AJ Johnson the beast at Tennessee Dante car at Arkansas Thomas Niles at UCF t.j. Jones went to Notre Dame now playing for the Detroit Lions, Kendrick Lewis with the old Miss now with the Houston Texans Chris Carpenter.
Here's some guys from back in the day, Carpenter on added Georgia went on to pitch in the night.
Major League Baseball with the Cardinals, Preston metal Huber, Georgia NFL, Billy lothric, the late, Billy lothric start at Georgia Tech Connor and quarterback in the National Football League gainesville's been playing football since 1905.
Coulis with the catch and a first down fifth.
Catch of the ball game for Cooley.
He had only nine for the season when the night started.
Yeah.
This is here form right here.
And this is the play, they could make happen in the first half that.
Now they're finding a way, just a short pass.
Right there.
Great Tackle by Souls be, otherwise, it's a much bigger game for doing.
All right, didn't get the first down.
He's a yard short, third down and one.
Jason Johnson does get the first out.
Let's see.
It's just one good things, bring more good things when you are able to make those short passes and kind of frisia linebackers and see what's going on and allows the rut that the quarterbacks take the direct snap just like that.
He's a good running quarterback and run for the first down and all that happens because you've made those short completions that forces the defense to stop for a moment and read, he's coming out of the backfield.
First down and ten Johnson.
Heavy was a quarterback sack cash, Jones, collapse, the pocket quarterback sack for Jones.
His fifth of the Season.
Yeah, one more.
Look at this.
Watch these guys, they come in.
They are Arab or they're going to come for my over here, right, in his face.
And again, they just going to roll it.
It's frightening.
This is easy to have nightmares.
Look at this, coming from both sides.
Bird was Airborne when he came through there.
He had no chance at that.
How about the game cache?
Jones is having five tackles of sack.
A tackle for loss to fumble.
Recoveries.
Gosh, get stopped by Chris bird.
Bird with his fourth tackle of the ball game.
Like I said, first half.
He's Gainesville Defenders.
They hit like it's food one more.
Look at it.
Just a hard hit here.
God still in the game.
Good to see that right here.
Boom.
They hit like it.
They hit like you took their food.
That's right, and they want it back.
That's right.
They're mad.
You ever.
Tried to take a bowl of food from a dog?
Get angry.
Johnson going down.
Jamel.
Dabney led the charge.
Great job there by Johnson.
Just a hold on to the ball.
That was almost the third fumble.
That probably a third loss, fumble for them.
Here in this game.
Three turnovers in the first half, one more.
Look at it.
Look at just the all the white shirts.
Count them, right?
They're all over the place.
A lot of Miss assignments there and Johnson, paid the price.
She Del Jamel Dabney.
Pardon me with a sack and two tackles for loss in this game.
13, tackles for loss this season.
Now, it's fourth down and 13 and Flowery Branch has to go for it, Johnson scrambling to his right Dabney chases.
Dabney's able to get out of the grasp, long enough to throw it away, but the golf balls going to go over on down.
Well, I tell you what, how about the speed of Dabney right?
There.
Here's a big guy 6-foot.
250.
You mentioned rolls out season.
Rolling out runs right there Johnson thought, Johnson thought he was going.
He has had an opening looked up and big number 74 is coming out him.
He's thinking you again.
You gotta be Kimmy.
Look at this right here and Dabney just blew right through.
Couldn't believe it.
You again.
I'm running.
Away from you.
You should be back over there.
What are you doing here?
It's tough night.
Blew.
Right through number 75, Sterling Sykes the guard.
Ball goes over on Downs.
It's now First and Ten for Gainesville at the 16-yard line.
Mike Bird runs for the first down bird, 15 carry 69 yards, rushing in the first half, at 10 more to his total right there.
At this first, Carry of the third quarter.
I'll be honest with you, the way he's running the ball, Matt.
It feels like he already has a hundred yards.
I'm surprised that he only has 79.
He's got over 100 yards of offense.
Also has 24 yards receiving and there's bird again.
Look at him now.
Smooth to make Davis Miss, and finally drove it out of Bounds at the 45 yard line, picks up another 18 yards, that's close to 100 now for him.
Yeah, watch the blocks.
He takes advantage of right here, especially at the end of the plate.
Number 8, right there.
That was a great play by Chris Williamson.
We've talked in the first half.
I'm really impressed with the way these wide outs for Gainesville.
They're not afraid to block.
And and that's a thing that's not always easy to teach.
Wide receivers is the contact part of this they get down field.
They know the balls coming.
They're looking for somebody to hit Chris Byrd Mike's.
Brother now lines up in the backfield bird, of course, the starting linebacker gets his first Carry of the ball game.
They're glad to have Chris Byrd bag.
Bird had broke his ankle in the 4713 win against Heritage, September 26 and needed surgery.
He And last week for a handful of plays in their 22:7 Victory against Loganville, but tonight really his first Big Time game action since that broken ankle.
He was back at practice this week for a full week of practice.
For the first time since that injury.
Gonzalez going for the Home Run.
Williamson runs under it again.
Second time that with that play Williamson has a 57-yard touchdown catch and that one's good for 53 and it's 41 to nothing.
Say as you mentioned, Matt Le tcsg touchdown replay.
It's the same exact play.
We saw in the first half the fake right there, weights.
Those it up and let's Williams and run and get it.
Fourth touchdown pass of the game for Michael Gonzales.
29.
Now in the year.
How about that for the 59 senior?
What a way to go out and in his regular season is only year as a starter for these Gainesville red elephants.
That's the third TouchDown for Williamson.
Tonight, gives him nine for the season to receiving and one running Staton p80 is good and it is 42 to nothing.
Chris Williamson beat the coverage down the field and runs, right?
Under this beautiful spiral from my chi Gonzalez.
The new College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience puts fans closer to the game experience.
Featuring over 30,000 square feet of college football interactive exhibits, tickets available at CFB Hall.com., Georgia, cotton Farmers.
Want you to know cotton is grown in 91, Georgia.
Counties on over 1 million Acres cotton makes a 2.5 billion dollar economic impact and accounts for over 15,000 jobs in Georgia.
Cotton's Innovative production has lowered.
Are used per pound of cotton by 75 percent.
Since nineteen, eighty one bale of cotton can make 215 pairs of denim jeans or 700 towels cotton is a natural choice for Georgia.
How about that?
Pair right there, my chi Gonzalez 8410 passing 2008 Williamson, three catches for 128 and a couple of touchdowns receiving that capped a foreplay 83-yard Drive.
Celebrate playoffs start next week.
You guys going to be in it and hosting a playoff game at home is a beautiful play right here, Larry.
Yeah.
It really is.
I like Gonzales, again.
We've talked about again, is only your's a starter, DeShaun Watson, the four -year starter at quarterback.
Now at Clemson, having a can get a healthy off to a great start of his career right there, but just the timing of these two and it just shows you again.
Just that's what you work on that in practice.
That's how you work on it over and over and over again.
Exactly where you're going to be and make it happen.
Great timing, play twice, make it happen twice in the same place.
That's impressive.
Kick to the corner.
This one's gonna go out of bounds.
And so that's a penalty on Gainesville.
Bring the ball out to the 35 yard line Williamson, three catches 128, couple of touchdowns also ran for a touchdown tonight as well and that 1-yard touchdown.
On run, remember back in the first quarter when they had Messiah Dorsey in there playing Wildcat, and ran a fourth and one pitch to him score.
And again, to control that ball.
That was one weird or see, made a bad pitch.
The second touchdown.
They scored, he reached out, batted the ball down the lucky bounce right back up to him and he scored the touchdown Williamson is committed to Louisiana Monroe, but just in the past week Wake Forest and Miami of Ohio have been in to take a look at it, wilcoxon on the carry and Tre Wilcox.
Action picks up the first down at the 50-yard line.
Got 15 on the blood.
You'll mad, here's a frustrating part for the Flowery Branch Falcons is that they've moved the ball all night.
This is not going to team that's been void of offense.
They've moved the ball.
This is if they can get 21 more yarn.
I think the fourth time, they'll be in great Gainesville, territory.
Nothing to show for it.
Bennett incomplete 4:04.
Jason Johnson short aren't take a look at the recruiting prospects for Gainesville Lewis cousins, the safety been offered by Troy the cornerback and wide receiver.
As you've seen tonight, Chris Williamson committed to the Louisiana Monroe and JD Sosa be just committed to Charleston.
Southern.
The coxon on the carry.
So should be with his eighth tackle of the night.
And man, I tell you what we've talked about before, when Gainesville is on defense.
I can't think of a single play that I haven't heard the crack of shoulder pads and helmets up here in the Press Box.
They like to bring the lumber.
In fact, Bruce Miller tells us the JD so should be arrives at the game in a bad mood just shows up ready to make something happen pass batted down by Willie Brooks.
That's the second time in this ballgame that Brooks has batted down a pass.
Good, look there at cells to be.
I think Charleston Southern is going to get a very nice player in that young man will get a chance to see his future school over in Athens here.
In a couple of weeks is a play the Georgia Bulldogs on the 22nd.
He's a he's a solid six into 45.
Yeah, he is and he's I think you can put on more muscle on that frame.
I mean I look at that young man is an upperclassman get into the weight program of another Division 1 College programming.
He's impressive, impressive, Talent.
Hey, Zeus Alvarado or chewy Alvarado as they like to call him on the punt.
He's in trouble.
She we run that ball.
Try, tackling him.
You're not going to tackle to him.
How about chewy 62 to 35 left tackle?
Who's also their punter, just ran for the first down.
I love it.
I love it.
And on senior night.
He'll always remember that.
Look at this tough.
Snap had to go pull it in.
Whoops, look at that move.
Look at that.
He faked out Jamel Dabney and ran for the first down, open the backfield this once or twice a what can happen?
That's good moves by the big guy do a little refrigerator with that guy.
That's right.
He's just coming back from a separated and broken bone in his shoulder.
Second game of the season wilcoxen on the carry Sosa be gets him on the ground 9.
Cackles for salsa.
Be who averages 12 tackles per game.
Yeah, good blocking on the right side of this line.
It really stepped it up here in the second half.
Some nice runs.
We've seen from God's several now from wilcoxen.
It's good.
Look at Seoul City, the rights of this offensive line right there.
They did a very, very nice job to seal, off the defender and create that whole for wilcoxen 8 yard game.
Megan sun' was the first guy to hit Goss, but Goss rarely goes down with the first hit and picks up the first down.
He's always spinning any prosthetic on the Tasmanian devil because he's just, he spun twice there, that's hard to do.
It's easy to look at and say, oh, yeah, this is easy.
And you just got skill, but to spin around and still have your presence of mind to go forward and not run the other way.
Gosh.
13 carries 80 yards today.
And the pass is caught.
Cooley makes another crib.
Grab.
How about Cooley tonight?
That is his sixth catch of the ball game.
He's going to match his season total here tonight in one game.
Yeah, he's been, really busy, watch this here.
And that's the thing.
You've got some guys out there.
Nobody's really blocking and his backside is vulnerable.
Luckily.
He's gotten away and hasn't gotten crushed because what you don't see right there, that white shirts, bearing down on him on his Blind Side.
Hayden Cooley playing the final game of his high school football career, Gauss.
First down for God's nice, open field, Tackle by Lyles to get down and take his feet out from underneath him.
A nice tackle and let's listen to this one.
We talked about the hard -hitting.
Let's take a listen again, an excited coach on the side.
That's right.
That's a bonus.
Corey wilcoxen dropped for a loss.
The flag comes out late on the play.
Todrick, Turner was the first guy to hit wilcoxon on that screen pass, and then we'll check the penalty on top of it becomes a golden.
Bruce Miller's team, trying to throw a shutout here tonight, that team has really vastly improved since their season opening 39 to nothing lost to gration.
They have pretty much run roughshod through region, 85 a winning, their seven region games by an average of over 30 points.
They're only lost two, linear field goal, 14 seconds left in the game, Block in the back.
On the defense.
Sure.
What coach Miller said there chuckle, the other penalties may be the only area that is Gainesville team hasn't done well in a couple of face mask penalty face mask penalties in the first half, kept the drive alive, but they find a way, the defense launch down and keep them off the scoreboard.
So first down and a short to from inside the 10 pitch, Goss has his feet taken.
From them again by Lyles Lyles going down low to try to get the low-flying gauze.
Gauze runs really low to the ground with a great center of gravity miles, taking the speed out from underneath him.
It's just smart veteran, move by Savvy, defender of the better toss, by the way by Johnson, right there.
Nice flip.
You don't want to throw it at him.
You want to toss it.
Give me a chance to see the ball.
Catch it make something happen.
Flowery Branch is the best Drive since for the early in the first quarter extended when schooi Alvarado the punter went forth.
Nothing doing their Lyles Megan sin problem.
Pardon me Megan, sun' drops Goss for the loss.
One more.
Look at this right here.
Again.
Watch this right here.
Megan sends the player watching right here.
Number 92.
Watch what he does coming right in here.
It's his way all the way the that's number 79.
You can't even get to him.
Chewy Alvarez.
You mentioned that never really got a hand on him.
He just ran right by him almost as if he knew where God was going to be.
Third down and three now, Johnson wilcoxen Spaceman.
The third one of the game here against Gainesville.
We talked about this Flowery Branch drive and what they've done here in the third quarter.
Still no point yet, but they're getting very close.
Only six first downs.
In the first half already have a turn.
The third quarter in this penalty should make it nine, one more.
Look at it here, Lyle's.
Pleading his case that he didn't grab the face mask.
You make the call.
Well, it's close and but really it really looked like his home.
On the defense penalty be have to dip the gold results in the first down.
It looked like maybe his hand landed on the side of the helmet, but from the in defense of the official from where they stood, it look like Facebook's.
Yeah, I think so.
I think you're right.
Matt looks like it's on the side of his helmet.
He lets go.
But the first down God Runs it into the end zone and Flowery Branch gets on the board.
149 to play here in the third quarter.
Well, happy to see him break through and get that touchdown.
Again.
As we said before, they moved the ball, nine first downs here in the third quarter, only six in the first half, as you mentioned a moment ago.
God is doing a very nice job.
The Falcons are on the board, gosh, with his fourth, rushing rushing, touchdown of the Season, Filson on, for the p80.
And once again, congratulations to Filson.
He's been accepted to the This Academy he gets the p80 to make it forty 27.
Jeremiah Goss, very nice run right here.
And you know, one of the one of the shifter your Runners are going to see in the tcsg touchdown replay number three, Jeremiah Goss.
There he is.
That's a great job of changing motion mad when you see him stops on a dime that's that's just that's just a gift.
Can't really teach that more look at it right here as a good look headed, right?
Watching shifts, just like that when you can shift it and not lose speed as what makes you so Elusive.
And again, he's Your sophomore very bright, future ahead Vision, man of Flowery Branch.
Well, like Chris Griffin told his, I mean, this is a extremely young Flowery Branch team.
You look at God's he's just a sophomore and of course, Jason Johnson, their quarterback is a sophomore.
They started a freshman, Nick Lance at quarterback tonight.
He said the learning curve has been steeped this year for this team and football wise, they were very immature at the start of the Season.
He said the good news is from the user standpoint.
We perhaps should be competing for a region Championship next year.
It with Goss.
I think they have a chance to quarterbacks be a year older and more seasoned, you know, on the that dry.
They finally score but the key play was again that messed up hunt that the the offensive linemen, who is their punter, showed some moves of his own six-yard gain to keep the drive alive.
They wind up with the touchdown Bilson with the onside kick.
I believe Gainesville got on top of that thing.
One more.
Look at this.
Why not down 40 27?
How about that?
It was good hands.
Yeah, it was the offensive lineman, you know, usually expect that Logan har who is their starting center showed some good hands.
Usually when he kicked the ball to the starting center.
He's not going to hold exactly.
He did a good job.
Didn't have the hands team out there, but har held onto it under two minutes to play here.
In the third quarter.
In Gainesville goes back on offense Gonzalez.
Still in there.
They run the Scream and that is a first down catch and run for Todrick.
Turner 14 yards on the play for Turner math protection.
Catch for him tonight.
Yeah, first time it's like a second time.
We called his number here in offense.
He hasn't done as much as the other guys.
But again, he's one of the many weapons of this Gainesville offense and showed you.
They're the kind of Speedy hands.
Yeah.
Turner one of the few players on this Gainesville team that play both ways.
He starts at their ex split in position.
And also at Cornerback, and that was one of the things.
This Gainesville team had to learn early on as you see the run there by heard and nothing doing.
It's gets thrown to the ground by TJ Jackson.
Early on, in the season coach Bruce Miller in the staff.
Felt like they were really thin more so than typical going into a season.
Felt like they're going to play a lot of guys both ways, especially on the offensive and defensive lines.
And he said, it'll first quarter the first game of the season we were worn out.
So we had to make an adjustment and of course they got throttled badly by Grayson in that opener Gonzalez.
Scrambling for the first time tonight runs to the sticks and gets out of bounds of late.
Hit over there by the taxpayer.
Yeah, that was obvious.
You know, that's, that's the one time really that they had Gonzales in trouble, gets out of it.
And then on top of that, a 15-yard penalty late, hit out of bounds.
Say a little something here about Zach Smith and coal for the two, senior linebackers played in Their final, High School football games tonight.
See the personal foul.
It's going to be cold again, s*******.
But Chris Griffin said they were as good.
A line.
Backing core.
You see Cole Ford 44, leading tackler on the steam.
Zack Smith is Buddy over there number 27.
They're really the heart and soul of this team defensively and a first down tough night.
For those guys though.
They're hanging it up, you know, at least at the high school level, Ford has committed to Charleston Southern so he's going to get an opportunity.
To continue his college football career football career at the college level.
Perhaps I should say First and Ten ball at the 30.
Bird.
Well, I used to the enjoy 29-yard touchdown run for bird third, touchdown night of the night for him and it is 48 27.
Now How You Like Me Now?
Matt.
That's just pure speed, watch replay here in just a moment.
Come up here after the kick, but when you look at this, start to count the dark shirts that he ran past.
Not just in the spring in the guys that were there with a bead on him and he just blew right by him.
118 yards on the ground.
19 carries for bird tonight, 24 more yards, receiving on three catches three touchdowns for bird and it's 49, 27.
I like this Gainesville team, especially with the bird Brothers healthy.
Yeah, they're a different team, but those guys healthy and he knows how many times he scored tonight, as we take a look at this in our tcsg touchdown replay again.
Boy.
What a player by Mike Burg.
Watch.
This was Bye right there.
Cole Ford.
Look at the guys here.
This that have a shot at him.
Nobody can catch him.
That's just pure speed.
It looks like he's going to be stopped and then he was turns all like an extra gear and everyone's in Pursuit runs right by this.
Watch this.
He liked it.
I felt films.
Watch this.
Look at this.
This angle coming right at you.
If you're at home and HC.
You're probably going to jump off your couch.
That's great camera work by our guys on their job by Darrell Miller, the veteran sideline cameraman Tom, the shoutout Pinky be proved as a great job, all season long.
I've been doing High School, Darrell Miller.
Older older, I had it right the first time.
Ball will kick into the end zone.
There's our buddy Darrell Biz.
Yeah, we got you big guy.
None better than him down on the sideline good man.
A great crew ever here every Friday night, looking forward to the playoffs starting, we talked and half time.
There is pointing out the road to the Dome begins next Friday.
A lot of action to come.
It'll be interesting to see, you know, Click on the, the website, gpb.org/sports find out on Monday where we're going to be on Friday night.
Wilcoxon on the carry tackle made by Louis cousins.
Second tackle, for cousins.
He's got an offer from Troy.
Cousins, 511 160 senior runs a 45 840, Goss a lot of good running backs in the state of Georgia.
And I think this young man before his career is done.
It's going to be right up there with the best in the state.
I like you 58.
195 got some shift.
Got some power.
Yeah, 18 carries 10 for tonight in a losing effort.
That was the final play of the third quarter.
So in the 12th meeting between these two Hall County Rivals, it's Gainesville on top 49-7 as we go to the fourth Gonzales to Williamson.
And then Flowery Branch finally got on the board late with a touchdown run by God's elect twice before Crossing you exercise, you choose the salad occasionally, but when it comes to staying well physically financially emotionally going, it alone is hard to Sigma.

Gainesville doing it pretty big here tonight at Flowery Branch leading 49, 27 heading into the final quarter.
The red elephants.
Also did it pretty big back in 2012 when they took home their first State title in the modern era.
We asked you to find us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and let us know which team they beat the answers, where County they beat them pretty handily as well with a final Forty.
Nine to 13 and our social media light that answer the question.
First answer the call First on Twitter tonight is Chris West.
Actually, an alumni of Gainesville, so congratulations on your win tonight, Chris.
And you'll be getting a football Fridays in Georgia t-shirt.
So get us your info back to you Matt and Larry up in the booth.
All right, thank you.
And there you see Gainesville that was their loan.
GHSA title coming in 2012, when they beat Ware County, Forty Nine to thirteen, man.
They had some close losses.
Look at all those close losses.
They had Bruce Miller's, team lost a Peach County 11:47 and 2009 and then under Bobby Gruene.
They lost a Bainbridge.
Southwest DeKalb, North Springs, and st. Pius, all of them by a touchdown or less.
Wow, you talk about heartbreak for some longtime.
Gainesville fans ensure were crying that night and they finally broke through.
So running clock here in the fourth quarter.
Jason Johnson on the run and cash Jones, gets him on the ground.
Now, you've heard you've heard Grace talk about this state championship in the modern era.
The reason she keeps referencing that.
Is because in 1925 the Gainesville team coached by jage pittard, was declared state champions and from 1923 to 1925 Gainesville.
High School won 32 straight games, but they didn't have a playoffs back, then they barely had Helm inspected, but they, but they were declared the state champs in 1925.
Course, Bruce Miller was joking with us earlier this week that his players think he's so old that he played with a leather helmet himself.
He's been a head coach since 1988.
He's not old.
He has done a heck of a job.
He is re-established, that great Gainesville Legacy for a long time under Bobby.
Groom.
They 30 years.
Bobbing room was the head coach there.
1963 to 1902, they won 254 games and as you saw got to the state finals, four times, but not until 2012 in DeShaun.
Watson, his Junior season did Bruce Miller and the Gainesville red elephants, finally break through and win a state championship, but they've been contenders for most of the decade plus that he has been there.
On the field are commenting complete passes Cooley's foot and saying was out of bounds.
So it'll bring up a fourth down and chewy Alvarez to punt again or run again.
We'll see, I think running of the more entertaining actually.
Chuy Alvarado, say So, he's already picked up a first down here tonight.
Gainesville.
Not totally convinced that they were going to come here.
But Alvarado gets a big foot into it and he gets a nice bounce on top of that and rolls dead at the 22-yard line.
And that's where Gainesville will go on offense, a 45-year kick by Alvarado.
Gainesville going to wrap up their regular season, eight and 28, and one in region.
85 a.
And in second place.
You see they opened the season with a tough loss against Grayson.
Regroup from there.
And then they started whipping up on people, Winder-Barrow is going to the playoffs.
They crushed them Salem, going to the playoffs, beat them.
Good linear the only loss in their region schedule and that was on a field goal with 14 seconds left as the Longhorns won, their first region title, new quarterback for Gainesville is Marquise Jackson the sophomore.
Katie Smith lines up behind him and gets his first Carry of the ball game, and Katie fumbles the ball and picks it up.
I mean, even when gainesville's made a couple of mistakes tonight, they've been able to the balls bounce, right back to him.
It has been their Kind of Night.
In that regard.
It's a game of balances and certainly everything is balanced the way of Gainesville right here.
And I'm not sure I've ever seen this twice in a game that the flag bearer in the play that you had a team, fumble the ball twice, and get it back in the same fashion.
Holding is the call on Gainesville.
Block in the back.
Can yards from the spot of the foul replay first down instead of holding Block in the back?
Same general idea, a blocking infraction.
So first down and 20.
Now Marcus Jackson in their quarterback, as I mentioned, very limited action for him.
This season just one pass Freight.
Birds in a couple of rushes for 24 and you see they're milking the clock.
Marquis going to run it and not get very far hogtied on the play by Zach Smith.
Making his third tackle.
The Ballgame comes up, limping a little bit.
Be sure the sophomore you can't you're in there because we want the starter out of the game.
You got to stay healthy.
That's right.
Gainesville at home.
Next week to start the region.
Rather start this Play also be playing the number three team in region 7.
Wait, and see who that is, at the end of the night, Katie Smith willing to carry Katie Smith.
Also a sophomore like, Marquis Jackson Smith with 21 carries on the season, just 45 yards.
Most of their duty, this season has come in mop-up, Duty.
As you mentioned Mathis Gainesville team looks very good.
We've seen some good teams.
This year Tucker's had some good games on GPB.
Grayson was as impressive as it was seen McEachern.
Looks like they're ready.
Not that it would matter for Flowery Branch, but even have they been able to win tonight as Jackson fumbles and guests.
Of course, Gainesville comes up with fumbled forward and Katie Smith was able to hop on top of the thing.
It was getting ready to say would not have mattered Salem is beating Cedar Shoals tonight.
35 to 7.
So even if Flowery Branch had been able to win, they would have been denied a spot in the playoffs.
As we talked about Coach Griffin knows that he has a young Squad and go for it here on fourth down, fourth and two, they're going to go for it.
They might just be trying to pull them all sides, but they punted.
It be their first punt of the night.
Don't think they punted the entire evening.
Not a quick kick.
Andrew Jackson, kicks it, and it's fielded at the 48 yard.
Line by Flowery Branch and a short return.
By Paul Jaramillo of 25 yards will come back and wrap things up from Flowery Branch in a moment.
The new College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience puts fans closer to the game experience featuring over 30,000 square feet of college football, interactive exhibits tickets available at CFB Hall.com.
Some questions can't wait until morning.
So I'm one of many nurses at Cigna with answers any time day or night.
I'm Lauren, and I've got your back.
I'm not I'm not sick.
She's perfectly healthy, Cigna covers preventive care, that's having your back.
High 43 to play in this one, Gainesville long decided.
This one back in the first half.
When they jumped out to a 35 to nothing lead in leading Flowery Branch 49, 27, John Nelson down on the sidelines.
Going to give us some scores here.
As we wrap up our final Friday Night of the regular season.
All right, let's talk region 16a right now, Colquitt was in a bit of a fight with Camden, but at Colquitt ended up with the wind singing King had 233 yards, rushing.
So call Quality.
Undefeated season, 10 and 0, the other action going on right now.
Lowndes is leading Tift in the battle for the 4C to come north to play Tucker.
That's 28-7 416 left in the third.
The other game going on right now.
About six minutes to go regulation.
Lee is leading Valdosta.
Wow, so you got that one to figure out who's going to be the two and who's going to be the three?
Who's going to come to play Lovejoy next week.
So that's those are the questions with region.
I'm playing region to what do you think?
What I think is if you're Tucker or Lovejoy, you're thinking.
Wow.
I thought the first round of the playoffs was supposed to be white.
Exactly.
Exactly.
That's awesome.
I thought that was I thought the first round of the playoffs supposed to be easy.
Looks like the balls been turned over here and goddesses down on his back again.
As we were talking about those playoffs their you're right.
It looks like you know Lounge got a shot to play at Tucker in the first round and maybe Valdosta at Lovejoy, so the two teams from winners Ville have to hit the road in the opening, round of the playoffs.
And what about Lee County?
What coach fabrizio's done there and their first year in region one 6A.
That's that's crazy.
So God's down on the field and they're tending to him and we'll check on him when we get back.

They're looking at Jeremiah gauss's right, elbow.
He's had a great night for a team.
That's getting beat by 42 points.
20 carries from 118 yards and there one touchdown.
So Goss with his 118, puts him at 9:57 for the season, not bad for a sophomore.
Not at all.
Not a bad rushing year at all for a team, that's going to end up being 5 and 5 on the year.
Katie Smith Goes Down.
Hurry Mathis, making that tackle for Flowery Branch Mathis another one of those seniors that you know, that's one of the that's one of the stories, you know, we talked about state playoffs and teams going on to play in the state playoffs guys.
Like Jonah Mathis playing in there might be playing in their final organized football game of their life as a senior big night for those seniors or remember it even you know, winter lose certainly, they would have loved to have beaten their rival, but Can be an emotional night too, when you been playing all your life and then comes to an end High School, career comes to an end.
And that's Jackson on the carry John.
You got some other scores.
I've got scores.
I've got brackets and for the record, this is my notes that I've been working with tonight and try to figure out what's happening show off at.
Yeah, really?
Well, look at it, this way.
It's not working.
If I do it through osmosis.
I've had to do it.
With both pan and pencil tonight with kitchen 7.
It's going to be the three seed and it looks like it might be some combination of Sprayberry and Cambridge.
They're still playing in those crossover games, in region 7, so, that would be who gained.
So would be posting next week at city park, and Dalton had the lead on Kel in that region.
Kel scored with a handful of seconds left, Soquel ends up getting the region championship in a heartbreaker for the catamounts, but the That amounts of come back a long way last couple of years around 500.
They had that string of 50 years and consecutive playoffs at they had had a couple of long Seasons, but it looks like they're back with, they'll be the two-seat out of that region to.
So let me go fishing through some more projection.
I hear that will have on the postgame show, but I'll be listening.
I believe, quell that that wraps up an undefeated regular season for the Longhorns, doesn't it?
I believe it does Jackson with the punt from the quarterback position.
24 yard kick.
And he'll go over to the sideline, to 11 in the clock continues to run here as Flowery.
Branch going to come back on offense for the final time.
This year.
Disappointing season for Chris Griffin's team.
They were young and they were young at the end of it to new quarterback, checking into the Ballgame for Flowery Branch.
Michael Albini.
Wilcoxon on the run and he steps Out of Bounds at the 46-yard line.
John.
What else you got most?
See region, 468, McEachern and Hillgrove.
They've been going at it all night long.
Last we had Hillgrove had a seven-point lead.
It's been going back and forth between 7 and 14 in this matchup the Battle of mcmakin Road in years past if you go to McEachern got a Cantrell stadium, that things are sell out.
McEachern gets the win.
If they finish up don't go into Hillgrove if they get the win, they'll go to seven and three and then you're looking at North Cobb, who was beating Kennesaw Mountain.
They would be the 3 seed coming out of there and North Paulding finished up as the four seed at 4 and 6.
So it under 500 right now as things.
Stand North Paulding would be the four seed coming out of that region in Region 4, so interesting stuff out of region for back.
Upstairs.
Yeah, we'll have all the brackets set up for healing gpb.org/sports plus, you know, log on on Monday.
We'll be making our official announcement over the weekend and certainly by Monday to let you know where we're going to be in the first round of the state playoffs.
That'll be fun.
Looking forward to that as the road to the Georgia Dome officially continues on.
I mean, it's been starting.
It's been a you know, it's been an 11-week road to get to the playoffs and now we cut the field down to 32 teams in each classification.
That's exciting time of year.
As you mentioned final, second-tier for the high school careers of a lot of these young men, you know, it starts in the summer starts really in the spring starts in the winter really with weight training and more weight training and Camps summer workouts and preseason practice.
And every young man out here has put in countless hours.
All during this season when you represent a school, And both teams have a lot to be proud of one team.
Going out of the playoffs and one team, hit the weight room, ready for next year.
Gainesville finishes up 8 & 2 overall eight and one and second place in region 85.
A Flowery Branch has their season in at five and five overall and four and five and region, 85, a big night for that guy right there.
Mikey Gonzales.
He was 9 of 11 passing for to 22 and 4 touchdowns, and now Gainesville gets ready for the State playoffs next week at home against the number three team from region 7.
And we will be on the road for the state playoffs.
Next week, log on to the website on Monday gpb.org/sports and you will find out where will be Larry?
Good job.
Let's send it down to Jon Nelson and then they can take it away from down there.
Thank you very much.
Coach Miller.
Kind of barking.
Some instructions to what's going on here, postgame.
Congratulations.
Nice win tonight.
Wow, it's always nice to beat these photos.
You know, and you know, in the past years past we've had a lead at halftime and they came back on us, our guys played a complete ball game tonight.
I'll fensively defensively kicking game.
It was just a good night for the red elephants.
And at the same time you locked in to the 2 seed, still trying to figure out who you're going to play next round.
It's a good primer for you to get ready for that first week of the playoffs and get a home game in City Park.
Oh, yeah.
We got a home game.
The first first round, we know for sure, you know, and I guys just really played good tonight.
So then How do you maintain momentum From This Moment forward?
Knowing that the second season is over, and you have to put it all behind you, but get ready for that third season of his last five games.
You talk to him like crazy, to talk to him, like crazy and hope they'll listen, and you just keep talking to him and keep talking to them and hopefully they get it.
Congratulations to the night.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Let's end it will send it over postgame show will have my chi Gonzalez coming up in a bit post game show over at the set where I think they're a little warmer than the rest of us.
Thank you very much, John.
Nelson time now, for our GPB football, Fridays in Georgia post game show on this the final night of the regular season.
Yep.
I'm Claire Simms.
This is Mark Harmon.
We're going to be with you for the next few minutes, leading up to a great replay of this game.
But we're going to have postgame interviews.
We're going to have highlights.
We're going to have scores from all around the state, and we're going to talk to some of those star players in just a few minutes, right?
John Nelson, is going to have some brackets for you to follow for that first round of the playoffs.
But first, let's check out the highlights from tonight's game.
It was the Gainesville red elephants taken on.
Falcons and Flowery Branch, this is a big, big Region 5, rivalry game, it always is, and the red elephants taking the lead first IQ Gonzalez, the alley Hooper for Rodney, Lackey to make it 7 to nothing red elephants on top.
And they never look back, Chris Williamson kind of fumbles the pitch for the bounces right up to him.
Is way, makes it 14 to nothing later on Michael Gonzalez.
It's Mike bird with the touchdown number one with the quick six that makes it 21 to nothing later.
Mike bird with score one yard.
Run and then the long pass here.
35 yards for the touchdown, Chris Williamson with the TD and Gainesville goes on to Win It 49.
27, your final score.
Stay tuned for our play of the game coming up little bit later in the postgame show.
Yeah, and this was really a dominating performance by the red elephants tonight.
I don't know.
Flowery Branch ever knew what was coming.
Well, if your croak coach, Bruce Miller Gainesville, you have to be very, very happy on how your team played tonight and how it looks like they're going to be playing in the playoffs.
Yeah.
Exactly.
And now, let's send it over to John Nelson.
He Think by, with one of the stars of tonight's game, John here with my chi Gonzalez.
I know that these rivalry games are huge.
But for those who've never seen this rivalry game before, break it down, for everybody out there, watching and what this game needs to this part of the state.
Well, as big.
I mean, there's no we don't get to play a lot of teams from around here.
So we finally get to post a new section, all the fans.
Everybody just gets really into and it's really exciting.
So then tell me what this week was like, getting ready for this game on the practice field and then in the school break it down for me, two ways.
Well, I mean student sections, both suit stations have been talking on Twitter and things like that.
It's been crazy.
But the players are just a really excited.
I mean, just come out and play against against this team.
I mean, it's been big for the whole year.
When you're going up against them tonight.
It seemed like down the middle of the field, seam route seem to be working in because you were going over the top all night long.
That was, when did you guys pick that up as something that was really going to work?
Well, I mean I didn't, I can't say enough about my receivers.
I just be able to throw it up and it was run under any go catch it.
My line gives me time.
So I mean if they were going to take advantage of it, so then you get off to the big lead.
And at the same time What did Coach Miller talk to you guys at the half knowing that you had a big lead, but knowing that you couldn't post just don't get too happy.
Like you see Saul will get excited.
Big game energies up, but just itõs not get too happy because they get momentum, things can change in a heartbeat.
Thanks for your time.
I could go celebrate.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Send it back over to the set for more of the postgame show.
And it's time for me to bust out the dry erase marker and the Eraser to figure out what else is going on in 6A.
Day with another key matchups, so trust me.
I'll be over there in a sec jobs, going to have a lot of brackets to talk about, that's always very important.
This is the last day of the regular season.
The post game starts next week, 192 teams and six classifications 7, really, and we'll see what happens on the road to the Dome.
Well, and I thought it was interesting that Mikey was talking about social media and how huge that is for this rivalry game.
And Grace, Olson is going to tell us a little bit about that and it's just a few minutes.
So stay tuned for that.
All right, let's take out some scores from around the state.
It on the Georgia, EMC scoreboard.
There are some upsets to tell you about.
Let's start out in region.
One 6A down south top -ranked, Colquitt County rallies, back to beat, Camden County, the Packers 10 and 0 on the season.

He'll grow beating McEachern 4228.
In the third Kel wins.
The region title.
They are undefeated, the Longhorns.

Houston County winning by a touchdown in the third.
Cartersville beats Pickens, 1:33 to win a region Championship.
It is Cedar Grove, leading, Blessed Trinity, 21 to 14 in the fourth Jefferson and Hart County.
The winter, there gets a region title and Buford beat Stevens County.
