Relief on the way for NJ drivers with reduction in gas tax

Reduction in the state’s gas tax is set to go into effect Oct. 1

Drivers in New Jersey have been dealing with an ongoing hit to their pockets due to prices at the pump. The average gas price in New Jersey is $3.18 per gallon, above the national average of $3.14. But relief is on the way, with an 8.3-cent decrease in the state gas tax set to go into effect Oct. 1.
