Advocates support NJ’s new guidelines on teaching gender

Some parents in New Jersey are furious about two key changes the state made to its curriculum standards. The first, diversity and inclusion guidelines that instruct school districts to include age-appropriate discussions on gender and gender identity for K-12 students. And the LGBTQ and disability curriculum introduces the contributions of disabled and LGBTQ individuals throughout history.
