I'm the President of the Laurentian Northern Model Railroad Club.
We're a small group of model railroad enthusiast in Northeastern Minnesota, the Iron Range.
- I enjoy the hobby because it gives me an opportunity to build just about anything my imagination can come up with.
- So I've been doing this for 42 years now.
Scenery is kind of my fun thing to do.
- Some of the features of the layout.
We have three powerhouses and a drive-in movie theater, which was inspired by my wife.
She said, "You have all those little cars, you have to have a place to display 'em," and the little kids are kind of amazed that people sit in their cars and watch TV.
- I like to see the younger generation come in, see what it's all about.
Hopefully get them, bite the bug, keep the model railroad industry alive.
- We're gonna hopefully get some good turnout.
