Clip: Season 44 Episode 5 | 14m 47s

Five movements from Tsontakis' dynamic work for violin and viola.

Greek American composer George Tsontakis has long explored music from his family's roots in Crete. Here, Aaron Boyd and Paul Neubauer perform five movements from his "KnickKnacks" for violin and viola, which adapt these classical instruments to percussive folk-inspired motifs. This live performance was recorded in the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in the town of Volos.
