As families prepare to send kids back to school, we look at Chicago's digital equity.

Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, internet access has become something like a utility – difficult, if not impossible, to live without. And as school starts back up again, students rely on the internet for everything from conducting research to turning in homework. But for some of those students, reliable internet access is still tough to come by.
