touchdowns and trophy presentations known as the ghsa championships at the beginning of the year over 400 teams dreamed of winning a state title today just eight teams remain four will be crowned state champions and host that title trophy high inside the georgia dome sky hi again everybody i'm mark harmon and i'm jackie britton and we are here to give you a 50-yard line view to all the great action that you'll see here at the georgia dome this weekend and this is the the second day here of the championship coverage the fans are starting to pour into the stands here early in the morning we can hear the team in the tunnel right now they're getting hyped up so definitely anticipate a great day of football this is the super bowl this is it the final stage of the season ends right here at the macon county bulldogs and the mcintosh county academy buccaneers our 2a game starts around 1pm with the undefeated and top-ranked benedictine cadets taking on the 13-1 purple hurricane of fitzgerald and their outstanding running back j.d king at 4 30. it's 4a action at 4 30 between cartersville and thompson then at 8 pm the 7a showdown between the undefeated roswell hornets last year's runner-up and the top ranked and 13-1 grayson rams those last three games are all number one ranked teams taking on number two ranked teams so we are in for a great day of high school football here at the georgia dome mark it's the biggest weekend of high school football of the entire year four state champions are going to be crowned today so just hunker down and enjoy about 14 hours of great high to the georgia dome we're waiting for four great games today we had four yesterday today is no exception it's the class a public championship mcintosh county academy out of darien georgia meeting montezuma montezuma's macon county bulldogs featuring kahari lane the great quarterback everybody across the state is heard of it's good to be with my buddy sam crenshaw one more time sam good to see you buddy how are you good morning good morning to you and good morning to everybody out there we had a great one in the opener yesterday and we're hoping for the same today and there's no reason we shouldn't have won today because we've got great players on both sides of the ball mcintosh county academy from darien georgia macon county from montezuma let's talk a little bit about those great players from those great teams and of course first on the agenda is mcintosh county academy and a guy you know very well you gotta call a red rifle because you do that nobody does make together mcintosh county douglas starting up with the coach's son who runs roger robinson is the coach major robinson is the quarterback 17 over 1700 yards passing 15 touchdowns and he's the guy that runs things for them offensively let's watch for him today on the defensive side of the ball how about jonathan jason hard hitting linebacker 122 tackles in the for this season he's the guy you're going to want to watch both sides of the ball for them today one of those really exciting teams on the other side of the ball is the macon county bulldogs they made the quarters a year ago in double a mcintosh county was in double a a year ago the public a championship features some great football players but there's one that we really need to talk a little bit about the red rifle talk about the red rifle and that's the guy who gets things started for macon county for the bulldogs that is kahari lane you may have heard about him may have read about him this morning you're gonna get to see this guy he has all the twos tommy he has everything and he has a chance to pass the record for single touchdowns in the city he has 52 touchdown passes he could top the uh the state record if we can get those at least two more today in today's game on the defensive side watchwork and terrace folsom linebacker who does great things for them hard-hitting guy runs things on the defensive side of the ball and they got a great defensive attack so watch for him in today's game most people assume that class a is a different kind of football but let me tell you something it's tooth and nail in this one just as yesterday's private championship was sam it really is but the thing about it is you got teams that are so excited about being here you know and get a chance of being and the back stories as we get into today's game of both of these teams have come through a lot this season some hurdles and some obstacles but they've survived and they've made it to the dome it's big time up close with the action nikki noto down on the sidelines nikki how's it going down there toby it's loud down here i'm pretty sure all of macon county is here and that's because they are here to watch a very special team you know these seniors they have been playing together since they were seven or eight years old they actually won their middle school championship the juniors won that same middle school championship as well coach told me that they've been playing under tremendous pressure since they were about 11 years old now the 1996 state championship team as well as the rest of the community has kind of nicknamed this group of kids the golden boys they have all said that if there is a group of kids that can bring a state title back to macon county it's them and like i said i'm pretty sure all of making county is here and when i talked to coach pregame he said i hope whoever is the last one home in macon county turns the lights out and i think that's how they're going to play today tommy thank you nicky so much we're looking forward to the game it's gonna be a fun morning get you a bowl of cereal cook you a couple of eggs some grits and some toast get you some coffee because this one's gonna be a good one the breakfast edition from the georgia dome we think we're serving up a really great one to get things started on this day two of championship weekend at the georgia dome tommy get ready for the kickoff that's coming up next on gpb here come the bulldogs getting ready to come out take the field and the buccaneers we talk about the story about these two teams tommy and how they got here and the macintosh academy uh mcintosh county academy team i think is one that everyone would take hold of the story about them and what they had to deal with this season what they had to come through well i tell you both teams had to play their ways here but what macintosh county academy had to do during that 17-day period play those three games three region games after a hurricane came through and they took three weeks off that's going to be a story we're going to talk about a great deal and that's a look at macon county ironically they call him the red rifle and they're wearing black today they're warrior black and mcintosh will be wearing gold and white and red and there's coach dexter copeland down on the sidelines goes deck to copeland his second season you see his record there impressive what he's been able to do but is his first time coaching in the final he made it to the quarters last year and lost to a very good pace team they're back down in class a they were one of the smallest double a school sam in the state as was mcintosh county academy robbie robinson in a shirt he's got on there today tommy i like that shirt it's a fishing shirt if you wonder that's how they make their money down in down in the community of darren and maddarian and mcintosh county academy there's a lot of shrimping a lot of fishing going on and in tribute to those fishermen they're wearing the fishing competition shirts all of the coaching staff are you can see some shirt tails are in some are out if you're old school you guess you keep it in ravi said robbie's said his dad wouldn't approve of him having his shirt tail out this is a grown man now he's got his in there you go first ever meeting and macon county won the toss and deferred heads up georgia kickoff coming up next and we've got a great small crowd to begin with here in the dome very vocal crowd but a very vocal crowd and by about half time this place is going to start really filling up that lower section because there's a lot of interest in game two three and four today sam this might be the most talent we've ever had on a football field in a two-day period in the state of georgia i think so we have the carry knocked down hard he's one of the principals in that backfield here is major robinson the coach's son 95 out of 154 1731 yards he took over in the third game he didn't play all of the 13 games as a starter he had to earn it he's the coach's son and uh looking into his name and how he got his name yeah yeah we need to talk about that one of your favorite players players from alabama major ogilvy was who he was named for believe it or not robinson gives to cummings up to the 19-yard line [Applause] let's take a look at what's happening up front buster sullivan jay harris austin anderson courtney jones and cam evans with their hands on the ground and dustin anderson j.p palmer don grant denver anthony and diego mitchell your region's starting lineups and of course we told you about major robinson at quarterback you know this is uh exciting for both these schools i think it was four players from each side sam did it ever been to the georgia dome not on a game now we're just talking about we have visited just been to this place yep that's it what an exciting time these guys were at home last week watching watching alabama and florida play last week today they're here yep robinson motion jumping around snapping for action this is not what you want to happen no no chip huffman is a referee there's a look at coach robbie robinson who told us he grew up watching the bear bryant show every every sunday and uh you know his other sons your name knox and buck and major ogilvy one of the favorite players that coach bryant would talk about on sunday and there's major robbies robinson dropping looking to throw pressure yard line gonna go down [Applause] on defense for bacon county robtavious manning nathaniel oliver d'amato walters and markell jackson in that four-man front the backers lacavian walker cantarius felton and leon dantes in the secondary trey mathis curt mcdonald tyrese atkinson and jared daniels quick as a cat defensively [Applause] blitz robinson gonna run got some room and gotta go down at about the 25 or 26 yard line before he's knocked down smart move once again like i said the coach's son he runs back he doesn't see a receiver he takes off and runs and makes the most of it good run there yeah felton was really dogging down the middle now they're going to kick it away here dustin anderson will kick it away from the 11. fourth down six yards to go anderson with a line drive kick gonna bounce and be picked up good coverage by mcintosh county down they go the 34 yard line 42-yard kick great coverage by mcintosh county academy yeah kirk mcdonald hauled that in off the bounce and really had nowhere to go great pursuit and great coverage on the special teams kahari lane the red rifle and ironically coach copeland didn't name him that he was named that several years ago and at first khari didn't like it he didn't like the nickname the red rifle but uh now i think he enjoys it a lot i think he does and i think people who haven't seen him play before probably in for a treat here this morning 6-2 2-30 kahari lane senior quarterback dropping the throw complete across the 35 yard line here's the way they stack up for dropping the throw and the pressure and knocked down hard back at about the 28 yard line excellent defense jackson that time barry jackson the senior watching and shooting right through there stays with it and the second time around he brings him down great effort great effort and we might point out coach robinson was quite vehement about it how do you beat macon county you keep kahari lane on the sidelines drinking gatorade right kick him off the field four-man front lane dropping to throw looking chased throws in and out of hands of the receiver up at about the 38-yard line good pursuit by mcintosh county academy great pressure and you see lane can move and on the move just side on just flings it out there and number four is trey mathis trayvon williams had a shot at that one akari roberts from mcintosh almost picked that one off [Applause] was the kick blocked they've gotten a hand on them moving right into the punter flag down on the play ran into the punter the b-side guiterrez i thought i heard a thump when he kicked it though didn't you before he kicked it or actually after he kicked it 27-yard kick they're going to call that one off it was part of the kicker on tommy well you know one thing to note about mcintosh county earlier this year when hurricane matthew hit they went three weeks without playing coach said ultimately it didn't really faze him a bit they were bummed they were going to miss football but it drew them closer together and when i was talking to him earlier today they were actually a little bit later than what they wanted to getting to the dome because the bus driver could not find their bus this morning he said but you know what look if i can get through hurricane matthew with my team we can get through being a little bit late to the georgia dome today tommy that's hilarious i love that bus driver couldn't find the bus okay blame it on the bus driver yeah of course there you go coach robinson is a real character he's a he's a joy to talk to as is coach copeland we you know i enjoy those conference calls that we do with those guys and we talk to them they tell us more probably than they should wouldn't you think but it's always enjoyable it is major robinson looking over a four-man front gonna give to his running back up across the middle gain of four or five ahmad jackson i believe it was macon county after a gain of two you talk about coach robinson this is his second tenure at mcintosh county academy was there for seven years and lethal went to washington weeks for two years and returned spread formation [Applause] got a whistle coach robinson did not like what he saw and called timeout on the sideline went to the official in call macintosh the first time out [Music] this is mcintosh county's first ever appearance in the finals second 10-win season in school history in 2014 this group went 0 and 10. they won their fourth region title this year nfl players include alan bailey defensive lineman for miami and the chiefs 2011 to the present they've had some some players come through there well they got a great team there now and you watch them play today the other thing that coach told us about this team is his offensive line each week has had the same five guys and talk about the importance of that time and what that means when you keep that same offensive line together each and every week they communicate well with each other and there is a cohesiveness there's a it's almost a separate team within a team those five offensive linemen robinson around the draw and the ball pops out fumble macon county [Applause] let's see who's got it it looked like macon county got it nope wow sullivan got on it i don't know how sullivan did it but he rooted down there he got it dude about buster sullivan to tackle jackson on with the fumble there he is right there and the ball's right there they just reached right there and grabs that see defensive linemen have good hands give me that pumpkin there you go third and six macintosh dropping looking to throw robinson incomplete miscommunication there you have to work that out wide receiver giving him a little bit of grief anderson is so anderson was the intended receiver and the bond at least went between three or four defenders so you know no harm there but now in exchange coming again yet again fourth and sixth anderson to kick and johnny cummings the region's bank starting lineup we're almost halfway through the first quarter and we've still got a lot of sparring going on up to the 30-yard line kahari lane about his arm and what he can do throwing the football when he needs to yeah big fella can move forward to pick up some yards 6-2 and 230 he's a load i'm telling you now and he can as they say in today's world he can spin it mcintosh going to jump offside defensive end on that side over there believe that was a cure of roberts encroachment on the defense the penalty results and a first down 14 barry jackson daniels yeah daniel's had a good season over a thousand yards 1300 yards 12 touchdowns he's had this season lane brings him up dropping looking to throw little screen got some running room trey brown on the catch cummings and palmer on the stop there nice execution definitely gets it out there we'll scream trey brown he's had a great season as well yes he has 47 receptions 974 yards 21 that's jumping again yep same jackson again on the defense five yard pillow results for the first time teammates are trying to console them and cut a couple thousand come on i don't think that's console like oh well he just wanted to come out and he's going he's going to take a breather right now he's going to come out well you know you get wound real tight yeah i really do that's all it is that's all it is you know but in a game like this one kahari lane yardage running back that's daniels again yeah jaren daniels daniel's going to come out now he's got that running back look doesn't he yeah it's moved smooth kind of glides yeah you got to have that glide-o-matic back there that runner lane looks over that four-man front they're gonna run it again caught and thrown back at the 46 yard line good pursuit that time by mcintosh fred carswell got there first linebacker number 26 has he slowed him down to the rest of his teammates could get there mcclendon on the carry [Applause] [Music] four but you know the amazing thing is curry lane is really not throwing it that much and they're moving and they're moving and they are really moving down to the 35 yard line mclendon again on the carry mclendon and daniels the workhorses obviously [Music] second down and nine i think we might see something right here [Applause] daniel's the setback yeah he's he's doing that on purpose checking off definitely yeah definitely 15-yard penalty that opens up the avenue a little bit for you right there if you're headed that way coach copeland not happy not happy about that move at all no [Applause] take a look at macon county they're with the 1996 state champions this is their first trip to the finals since that time third straight region championship 13 overall coach cb coronet from 1990 to 1997 a record of 97 and 10. and the nfl player antonio cochran who played at the university of georgia and seattle seahawks impressive resume for the bulldogs from montezuma definitely definitely coach copeland i think this is his fourth year at that right right and they made the quarterfinals last year eliminated by pace academy and they were the eventual double-a champion a year ago mcintosh four penalties 25 yards this is the 10th play upcoming of the drive second and goal lane screen got a man got a block got a touchdown got a touchdown pass daniels 13 is one yards needs one more just the way you draw it up tommy perfect pawn at the perfect time well executed definitely macon county takes an early lead and the point from placement now good snap good kick macon county leads it seven to nothing let's take another look at it technical college system touchdown replay kahari lane number 53 for him for the season dumps it off right there and jared daniels has great blocking in front yeah yeah pretty easy wasn't it yeah into the end zone for the first time today five minutes and 15 seconds on that drive 10 plays 76 yards jared daniels with the score and he did glide he's he's got have the better athletes that might have some guys you know work together and here's a team that's playing with a lot of heart let's see how the guys who play with the heart and the grit and play for each other let's see how they do and how they respond anderson palmer and cummings are deep so like a law firm it does good kick to the five pennings at the 11. great coverage let's go down to the sidelines what's happening nikki noto hey there tommy well when i talked to coach copeland he said one thing making county knows that this is their game to lose and here's why last year at the quarterfinals when they were ultimately beaten by pace coach said he thought he was the last one in the field house and then he heard something he turned around it was his quarterback kahari lane and he looked at him he said coach we won't lose again he said it's that mentality that the seniors have really rallied around and adopted going into this season so we've got a few more quarters to see how it plays out there you go 123 left in this first with macon county with an early lead seven to nothing thank you mickey four man front robinson throwing incomplete oh my god did you see anderson anderson was calling for a flag there i thought somebody may have gotten a little early yeah look at this break up yeah that's daniels on the defensive side of the ball i'm telling you robinson looking over that four-man front [Applause] gives to the running back palmer up to the 14-yard line moving grudgingly excellent defense by macon county they're being stingy with the yards in there you got to go up in there give it a try those black jerseys are there i'll tell you what they move to the football when you see 10 and 17 on your defensive line you got some athletes up there with the low numbers that's a dead giveaway quickness and athletic two stand-up outside linebackers robinson throwing batted away by daniels at the last moment how about that play anderson was out there great play by daniels that time that was a great pass it was passed by robinson robinson trying to go to his favorite target dustin anderson he's got 31 receptions this season for 631 yards and five touchdowns but denied that time at number 21 jarrett daniels that's going to be an interesting matchup all day long anderson and daniels out there i think daniel's letting him know hey i'm up to the challenge you're going to throw it this way again mcintosh county academy going to punt it away again anderson to kick it away good snap good timing line drive kick gonna kick it away from the returner good return up to midfield 43-yard kick by anderson and macon county takes over at the 49 and here comes kahari lane he's back on the field one touchdown pass away from hudson mason's 2009 regular season or season record of most touchdown passes in a season wow that's amazing and like you said at the outset you talk about recruiting and and whose list he's on and maybe some people have heard of him we've heard of some coaches and some uh some schools who went to see him this week yes some big schools who went to see him this week gonna run a little speed sweep caught and thrown good defense by macintosh back at the 45 yard line somebody's helping came off from there wow did not fool them at all wow is right fred carnswell on the stop carswell is there 28 dallas anthony stayed home good lineup problems and jumping offside and i know it's settling into the dome experience into the second quarter now tommy you'll probably see a little less of that now yep lane with daniels in the backfield dropping looking to throw gonna run the screen [Applause] incomplete it was intended for mcdonald on the right-hand side a lot of traffic over there mcintosh is moving well on defense cummings and drake and the other cummings and campbell they're very active defensively and they've got to be with khari lane gonna run us wow get rid of it going to run look at look at look at uh oh blocking that was the area of emphasis that they needed to work on so that khari could get out there and have some pass protection to make those plays that we just witnessed kahari lane gives to the running back caught and thrown up to about the 23 yard line one of those high tackles one of those danger ones there mcclendon on the carry mcclendon and daniels kind of share the running back chores and i think both of them play a little defense too as well she both up on both sides of the ball three wides lane looking to the sideline [Applause] checking out the flip chart it's interesting how they signal plays here [Music] lane dropping looking incomplete oh my god he's wide open yes he was mclendon the intended receiver he knows he misses the connection and this guy out there just says laid him a little too far with that one and cummings was waiting good defensive hold that time by mcintosh and now watch for the punt and let's see if they bring some pressure on this pun if they come illegal procedure against macon county that one probably will be declined wouldn't you think i would think so illegal formation on the offense the penalty is declined first down nothing i think robbie something they hadn't seen in preparation too that could be that it could be another thing teams may have added a new wrinkle or something all right here's the touchdown from macon county little screen pass daniel's glided into the end zone and here is major robinson trying to get the buccaneers in there and there is the fumble and those have been the two key plays in the game thus far they have been they have those two key plays robinson never got the ball in his hands never did speaking of refreshment on the sidelines yes coach robinson what a character he is robinson looking to throw screen dropped batted away and the guard was out in front pass intended for grant yeah and watch the dog sees the ball comes they have not supposed to catch that that's right almost like a little jump research and you just think this is going to be a high scoring football game and here we are halfway through the second quarter and it's seven nothing and kahari lanes ten for or five for ten fifty yards and one touchdown not critical but it's just not what you what you know what you expected exactly lane gonna get to daniels hello down to the 40. jared daniels do you like the way he runs or what do i like the way he runs how can you not like the way he runs watch this this is glydomatic folks hello some guys just have that style when they run they do and he has it he definitely has a 25 yard run aha that's how they're doing it armbands today did you see could you pick up on that lane looking for a blocker not gonna get it gonna be knocked down good defense that time roberts they took got three or four signaling in and the one with the red hat on us yeah that's the one that's hot that's the one that's hot maybe maybe you figure it out yeah the guys would come up with the big poster cards with the four different things on it and i i you know yeah there you go there it is that's how they're signaling again we're running play number five here whatever that is and if we can get a close-up of what the coach is going to get in there we got the whole playing there hey we got the scheme now don't we we've seen it kahari fourth and sixth looking looking got all the time in the it has been the same five all season long we talked about earlier the importance of that that continuity that chemistry yeah that that trust that comes and develops with an offensive line over time said he's been very fortunate this season has been the same five guys offensive line yeah and this kind of breaks the chain here in the state championship game he's one of your guys yes indeed fourth know coach robinson he actually told me this week it'll be interesting to see how these two rural teams from south georgia handle the big city in this environment you know between both of these teams there might be eight players who have ever been to the georgia dome so coach robinson also added that whoever whichever team has the speedy consistency will end up winning this game and consistency is something that we have yet to see tommy you are absolutely right nikki well said and both of these teams have great talent but you have to get into a rhythm too and there's a rhythm for you look at this there's mr daniels back up to the 50. i'm going to tell you this kid is something special he's been a bright spot today 28 yards on this one he does it with ease look at that look at that opening for him i think i could have run through that hole right by the center big 71 chris leggett look at him look at him working pick 71 right there tell you what that kid's a track star i would bet money on that here he comes again caught and thrown up at midfield daniels and mcclendon are special running backs you really are you put kahari lanes beside those two you got yourselves a few weapons four down the continuity is just not there in the game continuity is not there sam not yet both teams offenses are sputtering a little bit we're getting great effort by both teams on defense but the offenses have sputtered just a bit here maybe we go into the locker room here at halftime and adjust some things see some things that could do a little bit better and both offensive smooth things out in the second half okay third and 14. does it matter [Applause] this time that's the end of the half and that's it [Applause] that's how the half's gonna end yes it is macon county with a seven point lead in a game a seven to nothing lead in a game that we thought was probably going to be an offensive explosion by both teams hasn't worked out that way maybe second half time maybe so nikki noto on the sidelines nikki coach we've seen penalties we've seen opportunities for explosive plays on offense how do you generate some points here in the second half we just got to block better and pick up on their stunts right now we have some miscommunication with our offensive line but we're going to go back over here and fix that figure how to fix it all right coach and what do you think is the biggest challenge right now with macintosh that you're battling we're battling their stunts and their blitzes and they're confusing our offensive line a little bit but like i said we'll go in and say live from the georgia dome and live on gpb we're midway through the class single a public school state championship game and right now it is macon county leading mcintosh county academy by a score of 7-0 i want to see what kahari lane's got in the second half see if he can put some of those string some first downs together and get some touchdowns he's so close it'll be really exciting to see if he can set the record here at the dome what a place to set the record and to be that close and to not get it that that's a lot of pressure but not too much to ask for 52 touchdowns only one interception this year all right all right let's check out the scores of the george's emc scoreboard and right now we're in the middle of that first game of the day making counties bulldogs taking on the buccaneers of mcintosh county academy and then our two uh 2a game starts around 1 p.m undefeated top ranked benedictines cadets will take on the 13-1 purple hurricane of fitzgerald and their outstanding tailback j.d king and then the excitement continues at around 4 30. it's the 4a action between cartersville and thompson cartersville's last year's champion then at 8pm the 7a showdown between the undefeated roswell hornets who were last year's runner-up and then the top ranked 13-1 grayson rams it's the gift that keeps on giving here high school football on gpb we now welcome in the author of five books two on high school football in the great state of georgia you know he loves championship weekend but he's sad to see it roll around because there's no more brackets to fill out for him wait a minute there but uh today's uh george is brought to you by george's emc all right and you know this has been a very unique season for a lot of schools particularly on the coast because they had to deal with the hurricane arameen and matthews so we're going to spend some time in coastal georgia cooperative and okefenoke remc and let you see how the teams on the coast had to deal with it tommy palmer mentioned a lot of games in a short period of time and a lot of variables and one of those teams involved is out here right now camden county saw hurricane matthew first but after downtown saint mary's was flooded a few blocks deep there's a little left to do to get back to normal and what was left behind in saint mary's and kingsland can be summed up in one word debris everywhere not just tree limbs things you know dumpsters turned over things of that nature there i'm sure it was a little bit a little bit worse over at st mary's but we're right here in kingsland and as you're driving down the road coming to my home um you just saw things in disarray two counties north up in mcintosh darion got flooding debris everything you would think of when you think hurricane but when it was safe to return football coaches had to find everyone first you know we sent out the massive text again but i began receiving texts from a lot of players i'm still in atlanta i'm still in houston texas i'm still in florida some of them went to florida because half family you know in in inland florida still in south carolina so we had 14 show up sunday but it was good to see those 14 and make sure they were all right then you had to figure out the sprint to the finish in the regular season even as mca's 9th graders started their calendar all over again so to get it all done you're seeing teams where i think if you would ask college players to do it people say are you nuts but you got kids playing what four games in 15 days 20 days that's a lot and i'll be interested to see how some of these teams are are doing when it gets to the end of that stretch so they would have played their last game back in the last day of september and then will not play again until the 19th day of october and then play four games in 18 days to finish on november 4th in time and oh by the way to determine the region champion we're going to flip a coin and that coin flip ended up with calvary day eci and mca all being involved in all of this mca ends up being the sixth seed and mark it was a lot of work to do in a short period of time and mca got everybody healthy got everybody back and they're here for game 15. you know what a great journey by the buccaneers and they're in the dome they are and it's great to see robbie robinson back here from his time at metter too john georgia to see what it's like to just be under the bright lights that is known as the georgia dome and just to experience what it feels like to be here so i think they watched a little bit of football yesterday but he wanted to get them here get them in that mindset and get them excited for what's to come and then you know you look at macon county they're a team that you know not very big when you first look at them but they've got a lot of talented guys a lot of speed track guys who uh you know they're just great athletes so it should make for some great football here in the second half you know another thing you got to take into considerations is this 10 a.m kickoff there haven't been a whole lot of 10 a.m kickoffs in these kids careers probably zero so it's kind of interesting that way to see maybe they're just waking up we'll have a great high scoring second half and one of the other great things is making county you know they've got about kids a lot of their team kids have been playing together since they're about seven or eight years old so it's just a great moment for them to just to be able to experience all of this together so the second half is ahead so we're gonna head teams from different parts we've had eight players sam that have ever been to the dome those have played on the dome there is some settling in to do in this situation and i think they're really settled in when you take a look at the first half stats you see gosh kahari lane one of the top passers in the state of georgia look at what he's done here for the first time he's the most frustrated man in the building look at his passing yards only 58 yards not what we expected from this guy usually he lights it up each and every friday night but it's different and like i said just some sputtering on the offense they're gonna smooth some things up in the second half hopefully get some consistency uh now you see as we look look at coach robinson and the team they went in the locker room hopefully they come out and just get some consistency going on offense that's i think is what both coaches want to see right well they said they'll fix it at the halftime i'm sure they definitely will let's go down to the sideline to the third member of our team nikki noto hey there tommy well i talked to coach mack to the macintosh head coach coach robinson at the half and the first question i asked him was an update on jay harris he said he's iffy right now he's still in the locker room being evaluated on his knee they got tangled up in that pile and you said it tommy i heard you said settle down offensively that's exactly what he told his team at the half he said look we can't score unless we settle down we're still rattled we're getting offensive uh being offside type penalties and he said in defensively we've adjusted to the vertical pass and the inside run that's really where they've been hurting us so again settling down that's going to be the key to the second half if they want to score some points i think sam probably the thing that has impressed me as much as anything is young jared daniels and mr mcclendon from that running back position they've had a they've had a good day at the office so far very impressive game for jared daniels he scored the only touchdown of the game on a short pass from lane and then playing some great defensive stops as well on the other side of the football number 21 in the black jersey he's having a great game so far and we hate to bring it up but we need to bring it up trey brown would like to have a do-over i'm sure on that long pass from carrara all alone in the end zone and it bounced off his hands definitely what about that for a minute he gets a second chance let's see if he can squeeze it yeah i'm sure he'll get a
