It is the 2A boys title game here in the great state of Georgia.
It will be the Buford Wolves and the greater Atlanta Christian Spartans, and it should be a donnybrook.
Coming up here on GPB, we say a good late afternoon, early evening to you and yours, watching our exclusive coverage provided by the Georgia High School Association and, of course, the grateful people here at Georgia Public Broadcasting.
This should be a dynamite basketball game and we hope you enjoyed our coverage.
We started early in the day and we're going way into the night and to take us home and let's basketball here.
Today, we say good afternoon and good evening For the first time that Dave Gardner and Bill Henson.
Gentlemen, if you have a great game to call, it is all yours.
Thank you, Gail.
We appreciate that.
It's the second leg of the beautiful for robbery here tonight as the boys now square off.
And Phil, looking forward to a great game.
Plenty of talent on the floor for both sides tonight.
Definitely.
This one's going to be a dandy.
You got the pressure in the balance of Buford against the power and the diversity of A.C.. Let's go ahead and take a look at the Buford Wolves, of course, on their way into the state championship game.
And they're led by Alex Flagler, who pretty much does it all.
Well, that right there.
That's Malcolm Brogdon for Gassy.
He is a warrior.
He can score the three can take it to the basket.
He scores off the bounce.
Excellent player.
His will exceeds his skills and his skills are outstanding.
And of course, Flagler will lead the way over 13 points a ballgame this year for Buford, of course, looking forward to a state championship, which would be their first.
Now, of course, looking forward to the starting lineup there.
Of course, Buford Boast all kinds of talented players there led by Flagler, but he's got a great supporting cast with guys like Kyle Kellum, Zach Lee and TJ Ships.
And Jake BURNETT should be a lot of fun to watch those guys into into action there.
And you don't fail you when you talk about Buford a team that comes in they've got eight losses on the year but they're playing their best basketball right now.
We'll talk about that in a moment.
But first, we caught up with coach Alan Reinhart just a moment ago to talk about this one here with Coach White Hart.
What does it mean for the school and the kids to be playing for a state championship here?
It's unbelievable.
I mean, the girls have already been successful today.
And for our whole community come here.
We have both the boys and the girls and I'm sure it's the same for Jaycee.
It's just an unbelievable accomplishment.
And we're just excited and very proud to represent our community.
All right.
Thanks for your time, Coach.
Your luck tonight.
Yes, sir.
Thank you.
Coach White has done a remarkable job at Buford.
They're just a couple of short seasons are really just this first season has done a great job there.
All right.
Let's talk about legacy a little bit.
The Spartans are basically the top team right now.
They got five losses, but four of those two out of state opponents.
And they are truly remarkable.
Well, they can play any way you want to go.
They can go 94 feet or they can go 52.
See, they can play sideline to sideline.
They're excellent ball handlers.
They all know their roles.
And Coach Martin does an outstanding job with that ballclub.
Let's take a look at the starting five for the Spartans.
There you see it.
Paul Dorsett leads the floor, Trent Boyds, the senior A.J Davis, the son of NBA star Antonio Davis, Cole Hobbs and Malcolm Brogdon, who we talked about in the pregame just a moment ago.
Our very own John Nelson also caught up with coach Eddie Martin here with Coach Martin.
Question for you, What's it like to play for another state title?
It's very exciting.
I mean, it's very exciting.
It's it's one of those things that, you know, winning never gets old.
And it's one of those things that you just you work every season for one season gets over with.
You're already preparing for the next season.
And this is your ultimate goal to get to this game for every season.
So it's very exciting for our kids, for our school, for our community.
So we're looking forward to the night.
Good luck tonight.
Thank you very much.
And of course, here at the live Macon Coliseum, of course, both teams statistically try to even each other out as far as scoring is concerned.
Let's talk a little bit more about Buford.
Phil, you and I talked before the game a little bit.
It's time now for Phil Hanson's Keys to the game.
What are the Buford wolves have to do to win tonight?
Well, I think number one key is rebounding.
You're going to have to control the glass.
Number two is defensive transition.
You're going to have to get back from the defensive end to the offensive end of the offensive end of the to the defensive end.
And I think half court execution full in half court.
You're going to have to finish plays.
You got to make your layups, you got to make your free throws.
And most importantly, mental discipline.
If things go bad, don't go with them.
Stay within yourself and impose your will upon your opponent.
CRAWFORD Wolves, of course, averaging 63 points a game offensively, allowing just 50.
As we said, they're kind of a mirror image of what J.C. has done this year on the court.
In fact, the two have played together against each other a couple of times this year.
We'll talk more about that in a moment.
And of course, Buford has done an excellent job making their way as a three seed.
Of course, both these teams play against each other.
Jack is the number one seed, but Buford is the three seed, but making it here to the state title game against a very familiar opponent.
Well, definitely.
And I think the Buford again defensive transition attack and pressure because Jack is can mix up their defenses.
They can play man to man.
They'll play some zone trap offensive execution.
You've got to finish plays.
And again, you got to you got to limit what Jack is going to do and on the boards, if you're going to look at J.C. again, establish tempo, strength and power versus, like I said early in the broadcast, gets Buford, Buford balance and pressure and limit Flagler.
Flagler is Dawson are going to be dueling banjos all day long.
Going back and forth should be a great matchup there.
Watching those two guys go toe to toe.
If you see the introductions here from J.C., of course, Eddie Ashley, the longtime P.A.
announcer getting it going here, a first to see the number one team in Double-A.
They're averaging 67 and a half points a ballgame offensively, defensively, allowing right around 5011 straight wins at four state titles.
Trying to make it number five here this evening are the Spartans, who, of course, are the defending state champions they wanted last year.
In 2009, there were 28 and four, made it to the semis, but lost in Dublin, three straight Final Fours and hoping to make it two out of three years with the state championship.
We're going to take a timeout and be right back.
The stage is set.
It's to a boys action between Buford and Gassy.
When we return live to Macon in a moment.
Scott, let's get it started.
Let's get started.
This is Georgia High School state basketball championships made possible in part by Regions Bank.

This program on GPB is made possible in part by supporters of the Georgia High School Association, including the following.
Have you tried one of these so far?
And I can't believe we haven't done this before.
wow.
Look at that.
A bike.
How did you jingle Do the trick?
Like a good neighbor.
Step on his there.
Hey, guys.
do it again.
Do it again like a good neighbor.
Step up there in my office.
State Farm.
I think we're good.
State Farm agents are there when you need them.
Back here live at the Macon Coliseum.
The beautiful cheerleaders of the house here tonight trying to fire up what will be the visiting team on the scoreboard here.
Exact opposite of what we saw on the scoreboard there.
For that, the girls contest.
Buford will be the visitors for this one, and Gassy will be the home team.
Dave Gardner, alongside Phil Hansen.
John Nelson, courtside with you this afternoon, along with the rest of the GPB sports team.
And we were talking a little bit to Phil about Alex Flagler, this 510 senior for Buford, who really runs things well, he's big shot, Alex.
You know, he makes the big shot when they needed He has three point range controls the tempo on the offensive end of the floor and most importantly on the defensive end of the floor.
Great scoring opportunities, foul line and down for himself and his teammates.
TJ Shine's number 15 and green for Buford will tip and he will go toe to toe right here with number three A.J.
Davis, the six seven sophomore, and it is Buford who will control the opening tip.
Smart play by Barnett there.
He didn't throw the ball back to work as the ball is already established in the fourth quarter.
There you look at the officials, Bill Lewis, Andre Stephenson and Tyrell Johnson, Man to man defense by Jaycee the Wolves, again at 24 and eight overall coming into this contest right here.
First final four since 2006 and their first postseason in four years.
They made it to the quarter finals back in seven.
But since then, this four program has struggled just a little bit.
They've been successful, but certainly not at the state championship level.
But throughout this year, as we mentioned, just a third seed out of Region six, but very battle tested in the playoffs this year, winning some close games against Kendrick and South Atlanta, who they had fallen to a couple of times during the season there, but beat them in the quarterfinals.
When it counted, Buford did a 2 to 1 press.
In the way you want to beat that press, you want to keep the ball in the middle of the floor.
Vasey, meanwhile, has basically cruised through, had a pretty tough game against East Hall in the quarterfinals.
Did you see the shot from outside taken by Paul Dawson?
But off the mark, kept alive the offensive board for the Spartans inside.
That's Davis puts up the shot.
It won't go great job by shakes contesting Davis on that last shot.
But how about that?
Trent Boyd, though, comes down with it, keeps it alive.
And there's Davis with the put back and the first two points of the afternoon.
He's off a quick around the basket.
Davis got long arms he plays about six nine Flagler lost the handle on it but it was well it was a backward violation.
Little nerves and that's to be expected.
Are you going to look at Coach Allen White Hart, who was at Centennial High School 97 and 25, took it to a runner up finish in seven, but has come to Buford quickly, has these guys right here in the state championship game, just a remarkable coaching job.
In one short season.
He's going to stay in his job.
And both these teams are very well coached outside, try to feed it into Trent Boyd, the six senior.
But it goes out and it will be due for basketball.
And you always want a bounce pass into the post.
You don't want an air pass into the post to the fact that the defensive man's hands are generally up.
So the bounce pass also gives the receiver more time to catch the ball.
So coach Eddie Martin right there.
Third season, of course, won three titles back to back to back at North Cross.
Also spent some time at Brookwood.
So very familiar with Gwinnett County basketball.
He's a central Gwinnett alum and has done a remarkable job in just season number three, already having won one state championship.
That shot by Flagler off the mark would not go take it out of there.
And then almost taken right back by Kyle Kellum, the six foot junior who tried to save along the baseline, just had his foot off the line.
We're going to have dueling banjos all night long with Thorson and Flagler going head to head with each other.
I never want to throw a pass underneath your basket.
And that's that's remedy for disaster.
Tough one.
There is the GST with the basketball to a two point lead 547 here in the opening quarter off.
The glass wouldn't go for Malcolm Brogdon in that time.
Brogdon again averaging 25 and a half points.
And there's no doubt he is certainly the leader of the Spartan Club.
This is the kid right here.
Lin's got to get going.
He's got three point range for Buford and he can take the ball to the basket inside.
Nice position.
But the rejection by Paul Hobbs with a 40 to 65 junior.
And then on the other end, Dawson gets the layup in it, defense turns it off.
And so we talk about defensive transition is a key guy to get back defensively Flagler takes the shot way off the block on the island.
One of the Spartans may have got a hand on it.
Flagler, though, gets it back, feeds his teammate who throws it down.
That's TJ shapes with his first point and no place for the team that you're going to have to finish against both these teams.
There's nothing going to come easy now against this press.
You want to engage too.
If you engage too, that means they're three on four somewhere else on the floor, back on the other end from the corner.
This is Myles shot with no wave at all.
And that's going to be Buford Basketball whistle away from the ball.
They're underneath.
If Hobbs gets going, it's going to be a long night for Buford because that gives him another attack, especially on the perimeter, which is going to open up things inside for Davis and Brogdon.
First team foul on gassy it gets Trent Boyd, the Cedar and now Flagler brings it up and as you mentioned feel that's going to be a great matchup here tonight.
Number two flag go to number four dorsum Gonzaga, toe to toe.
Both these offenses mirror each other due to the fact that they're running a lot of high ball screens at the elbow.
Harris Dawson on the other end of that one block that shot to the and no goaltending call right there.
Yes he was wanting it didn't get the call but what a block go by Jake BURNETT and Vernon on the other end trying to work the baseline dishes off their shifts won't go rebound A.J.
Davis on the other day you got to finish if you're that close pass inside a one to look right there up and in for Boyd here he is playing a very good vertical game.
They're getting up down the floor very well.
And that's really not their bread and butter necessarily.
They're more of a halfcourt team, but they can run.
Great.
No, look right there.
Swings it out that fast.
So that shot too strong, though, from BURNETT, a Georgia Tech baseball signee.
Great job by Brogdon pulling that out If there's more than to pull it out two or less, take it to the bucket.
Pops with it working.
How That one Knocked Away Great Hands by Zach Lewin.
He's a good little player, then stands six foot tall.
A senior averages eight points a ballgame.
If you're trying to cut into that four point lead here early.
He did a superb job against Lainey in the semi position right there.
Turnaround tough shot, wouldn't go through shots who had position in the lane just good finish by both sets of fans carried over from the girls game they pretty much stayed put.
I know no one had to leave you going to play this game at the Lord school rec now both for schools not too far apart now there's a big three point shot for Brogdon who's in the book?
Well, that's what we alluded to earlier in the in the Keys and the highlights.
I mean, he can shoot the three ball.
He can take it to the basket, he can score off the bounce.
He can score off the boards every time down the floor.
Look for him to touch it, not shoot it, but touch it as he is going to make good things happen.
Nobody on the floor that can guard.
And you talked about the keys of the game, of course, one for JC being the limit Flagler.
But I think the same could be said for you for trying to limit Brogdon as well.
You got to keep him somewhat in check.
He can't have a big night.
It's curtains.
Zach When of course, hitting that last bucket for the wolves makes it nine four here on the other end.
Nothing but the bottom of the net for Brogdon.
He's starting to get raw and look for Buford to start running people at him to get the ball out of his hands LANE Great move added BLOCK But also through the contact and I think they're going to call hops for this one.
You always want to take the ball right at the shot blocker hits chest.
If you try to go away from them, they create space and any space you create, the defensive man is going to occupy that gap.
That's two team fouls on J.C. Then at the line first and rattles in and out.
A lot of green, a lot of red and they are separated and that's not by accident.
You see Lin's numbers right there on the season, almost eight points, a game close to two rebounds has had a remarkable senior year playing his final game as a high school student athlete, Collin Swinton comes into the game for he gets a little punch on the perimeter.
That's the second wall to rattle in there.
So one of two on that trip for Lin.
We've got a time out on the floor with 214 will step aside with them 11 five gassy with the lead.
But this one back and forth.
Stay with us.
Well, if you come on, Gp-B is made possible in part by supporters of the Georgia High School Association, including the following through Thursday.

These drills probably won't make anyone a number one draft pick, but these players are practicing for something important while they work on their jump shots.
They're also learning teamwork, discipline, self-confidence, how to deal with wins and losses, skills that will make them winners long after they leave the court.
Support high school activities in your community because when kids take part, they get set for life.
11 five Gassy lead four.
Here in the first quarter.
We'll tune in to GPB for a new season of Georgia Traveler.

Don't miss Georgia Traveler Fridays and Saturdays at seven only on GPB.
Excellent show right there.
Traveling the far limits of the state from corner to corner, from Bay County to Charleston County.
You name it.
The jukebox does a great job with their shows and programing.
Meanwhile, Malcolm Brogdon of D.C. is starting to heat up.
Well, this is not what you want if you're for Buford, because if he gets going, he can carry that whole team on his shoulders.
And what he does, he creates.
He's going to score, but he's going to draw so much attention.
He makes everybody else on the team better.
Five points for Brogdon here.
Still 2 minutes left here in this opening quarter.
They've got to fill Hansen with you John Nelson courtside to GPB sports team rocket a full weekend of high school basketball.
We're day one wrapping up at the Arena Gwinnett Center last night.
12 more live hours of high school basketball here today in Macon, three point shot from way downtown.
And how about that one?
Brogdon with three more.
He's getting too many open looks in regards to squaring up and facing the basket.
They've got to get the ball out of his hands.
But both teams have that one player in particular they have to shut down.
So far, though, Flagler has not scored and Brogdon has put up eight.
Well, as we talked earlier, the Dawson Flagler match is almost a push because Dawson has such great defensive feet and Dawson is one of those guys that sometimes gets overlooked a little bit five, ten, seniors, six and a half points a game, but really runs the floor well.
He's a very good player.
This Zack level invented right here into Flagler with a minute 24 on the clock Mitchell posting for the wolves coming off the bench Great in an out game there Nick Mitchell six to seniors the cousin of Alex Flagler both guys transferring in this year.
Tough shot right there in between land for TJ Sipes because unable to hit the shot, you got to make those.
And on the other end, nearly a chance at a three point play for Paul Dawson.
But he will go to the line.
That's a four point play too.
He didn't get on this end and then the foul into the opportunity for two free throws here.
Plus Lincoln picked up a foul on foul.
If Dawson really wanted that one, you could tell wanted the chance at three.
But he'll have to settle for a chance at two.
You see his numbers all the season, six and a half points and he knocks down the first up two missing layups and turnovers.
Just kill your shooting percentage.
Well, it's a ten point ballgame.
But as you said during that during the break, you and I were talking I mean, Buford hits a couple of shots right here.
It's a two point game, and that bodes well in the future if he does capitalize on the opportunities that you're getting.
But it's an 11 point ballgame, six five with a minute remaining here in the opening quarter from making insiders Mitchell working and he's another miss right there, as we talked about.
Those are tough to swallow.
It takes having a little bit to do with that due to the fact with their defensive presence underneath with Davis and Brogdon and Boyd, it's Martin slowing down the tempo here a little bit, working out of that halfcourt set, which is he's been very successful this year especially with Brogdon that shot by Davis great rebound by Shakes Yep C.J Shine a six foot seven junior here's Mitchell dribbles right around Davis that time good looking drive there by the six to senior Mitchell look for the wolves to get this thing going up and down a little bit and try to score more on transition as opposed to the halfcourt set field goal percentage again here for just three of 11.
So you will see more of all that 50%.
That's the difference so far in this opening quarter.
We got a jump off ball possession here in favor of the Spartans.
Great job by fly there to see Hobbs come back into the game for gassy.
Boyd will go out with just 7 seconds on the clock right here.
The Spartans with a chance for the final shot here to see Coach White right now and run somebody else at him to get it out of his hands and take the shot.
Right.
Here you go.
Throw it out.
It'll count.
If it goes out, it won't out of the hand of Paul Dotson.
And that's how the first quarter in 67 leads Buford this to a Boise State championship.
We're back to make it in a moment, this time on Secrets of the Dead.

A lot of folks have taken part in our chat, so let us know what you think about the games, our coverage, you name it.
A little bit of everything right here at GPB, Lord Backslash Sports, back to action right here, filling in two teams that have a lot of history against each other, rival squaring off in this two boys state championship.
But that first quarter belonging to the Spartans.
Yes in the familiar area is probably a lot.
They play against each other in a few ball in the summer at the recreation center in the outside of the gyms.
So these kids know each other real well.
Nice, Nice.
It's a super job.
It's way off the bench here with four points in.
This first half has given the wolves a little bit of a Sparty Walker that finished the first quarter with eight points, knocks out a three point shot.
There it is, Karl Hobbs.
If he gets going, if he gets his feet set and his shoulders squared, he's going to knock that one down.
So a nice little drive right there by Flagler.
That's his first points down off the dribble.
You got to keep him going east and west.
You're talking about one of the things he likes to do is they like to line up Brogdon and Hobbs on the same side of war.
They get Gossett and penetration to kick it out.
All those guys, it makes it tough to guard who can double down in the post.
That's exactly what they did on the last three pointer by Myles, who had blocked it over on the same on the floor.
Now back the other way.
It goes in favor of Buford and the wolves getting a talking to there by Coach Hart after that first quarter sequence.
Eddie Hart right here for Gassy is about all kinds of playoff and championship experience and leading the sparks to a 27 and five record, but only one loss to a team in the state of Georgia.
That was Milton, who, of course, was beat last night in the five eight title game, but still a very good ball team nationally ranked.
So you'll forgive you'll forgive Jesse for that one.
Well, there's two good moves now by Coach White Hart, one on the defensive end of the floor.
They've implemented their two three zone and offensively they found a matchup they like on Mitchell, on Davis.
Take a look at Nick Mitchell at the line almost six points a game this year three points seven rebounds starter got four points though, already in this first half.
They could find number 11 Talib back in the lineup.
But look for the wolves Dave's the change up their pressure They'll run a 2 to 1 press in a 1 to 2 press just to give em a different look.
And that's what knocks down a pair.
1913.
Now you've got to gauge two people look middle and throw opposite swings it out right there And Brogdon with the lid you got to stop the ball defense They're going to give up layups all night Flagler back on the other end contact on Doncic Doncic may want to back off him a little bit if he's coming at him like a freight train and let him shoot the jumper because anytime he gets foul on and down, he does a great job of getting points for he and his teammates through the middle.
Mitchell thought about it off the about right here Flagler worth of basketball smarts to free zone now Bagley from splits some defenders gets it inside What a play right there but it won't go Forsyth to have the dunk for him in and out and he's had a tough night but those are good looks they're going to get it they're getting those opportunities now.
Hopefully they'll capitalize on them later in the game.
Three point shot by Brogdon and this one is off the mark.
Take it down Flacco eventually with the basketball this is with the numbers against it but splits the defenders lays it up high off the glass and we got a two shot foul coming up right here flanker will be at the line.
Well two things there, Dana you got to stop the ball high or be you can't find I mean you just got to keep your hands up and back and take your inside knee and it goes outside shoulder.
Your body will never touch this flag.
Lesson numbers all the season as we talked about up top, 13.2 points, four assists, 2.3 steals on the year misses the first three for that last ball was the second on Goss and that's the fifth team foul by gassy.
We're going to look at some of the Buford crazies, the wolves decked out here.
But Savannah and Saint Patrick's Day.
Yes, both teams have traveled well, as we mentioned, they're not very far apart geographically, but they've both had to make the same trip south to make it this weekend to take on each other in the state title game.
And Flagler uncharacteristically misses a couple of free throws.
You got to cash in when you get a chance.
They've got a great free throw shooting team Buford, only about 50%.
nice take away right there.
Win over the Flagler with the easy way.
Yeah I really like when he makes things happens on each end of the floor offensively defense they can shoot the threes got very quick defense iffy 2115 greater Atlanta Christian right now with 514 to go here in the first half as part of our live coverage right here on GPB.
I want to thank you, our viewers for tuning in this afternoon and nice little use of the glass right here.
Let's at double that screen on the ball with Brogdon and not go under it because if they go under it he's got three point range and you easily go under that screen and players that don't have range would look right there picks it back out Mitchell trying to penetrate lays one up off the glass won't go rebound Davis You got to avoid going one on five here and stay with your offensive sets high screen coming into the right here Barton work the baseline plays it up strong.
no walk in foul looks like going to be on.
MITCHELL Well, the problem that you had if you're looking for it you can't help if you're garden frogs man on the dribble drive because if you do and he gets an open standing three, he's going to hit that same thing with Hobbs.
Brogden's numbers impressive throughout the year.
13 rebounds a game three and a half assists to go along with that as well.
So he's not a ball hog by any means.
He I just think he is the consummate warrior.
He just does such a great job of helping his team win in any shape, form or fashion.
Jamal Inglis, in for the first time today for Buford, should give Flagler a breather there.
You look at the Spartans and their bench.
They lead it by nine.
Brogdon to make it a ten point game and does so 14 points for Malcolm Brogdon.
Time out on the floor.
Well step aside with a 432 to play in the first half 2515 Gassy back with more I'm on Gp-B is made possible in part by supporters of the Georgia High School Association, including the following.
Have you tried all of these something I can't believe we haven't done this before.
wow.
Look at that.
A bike crazy jingle.
Do they take like a good neighbor?
Step over there.
Hey, guys.
do it again.
Do it again like a good neighbor.
Step over there in my office.
State Farm.
I think we're good.
State Farm agents are there when you need them.
GNC leads it by ten 2515, with 432 remaining here in the first half.

Well, so far it's been the Malcolm Brogdon show, 14 points here in the first half.
And you basically just about outscored the entire be four team here in this first half so far if you're Buford you didn't want to see that if you could keep him to 14 to 15 for the game you'd be delighted but for him to get 14 in the first going into the second quarter and it's it's going to be rough.
He continues his pace.
Kelly, with the basketball being guarded by Brogdon right here, let's bring it back out to Flagler, 20 Final Fours between these two programs.
He's been to nine of them before to 11 over the years and one missing everything there.
Again, this big four team last year with a losing record, nine in 16.
So what a turnaround by Coach White art in the one season as we talked about three consecutive losing seasons prior to their last playoff appearance.
Turnaround right here good looking move and the role right there for A.J.
Davis.
Davis is a very good young looking player.
I mean, he has some great skills.
Davis, only a sophomore, but six foot seven probably still got a little growing to do.
Definitely.
He's so doggone long.
As I mentioned earlier, the son of NBA player Antonio Davis, he had a look inside right there that shot off the Mark BURNETT that turned around.
And then he's going to get called for the push right here against Davis.
The founder of the backcourt may have been more frustrated exactly as a frustration time.
He don't need that because Davis isn't going to hurt you in 93 feet from the basket.
He's he can score from there.
You're not going to beat him anyway.
You don't want to find him there.
Jamal English back in first The Lady Wolves of Buford victorious earlier this afternoon.
Coach G Bird son Kobe is on the Buford boys roster as just a sophomore six foot four, though they got a mismatch here on Brogdon Kill him they're def look for a post-up see Brogdon right here Take away right here Knocks down the tray and Brogdon continues to impress here in this first half he's got 17 That's a size issue it's awful tough assignment for him to try to guard him man to man especially coming off screens because he's going to take him outside and shoot over the top of him or he's going to back him down low and then hurt him on the post.
Well, on his way to that 25 and a half point average and possibly beyond that, he's a Virginia commit, I think a great cavalier.
He's a great kid, very polite, got a good head on his shoulders.
And according to coach Eddie Barton found it to be on all in second on a positive side for Buford.
They're getting gassy and early foul trouble.
They are.
Now, you're going to be able to score in the next foul which will be put him in the bonus.
Without the clock moving, you're going to be eating the weight of this league.
You got to make your free throws, make your layups.
That's just the key.
No foul.
Call him the six foot junior.
There you see his numbers all the season, seven half points, 2.2 assists and 2.2 steals.
Just a junior lot of juniors on this wolf roster.
That suggests they could very well be here next year.
Regardless the outcome here today Flagler back in because a lot of good young talent in this tournament Flagler of course is third different school field.
You know we talked about a sophomore year at Norcross Junior at Northview High School there in Fulton County and been here for his senior year at Buford, just made the most of his trip, found a home he and cousin Nick Mitchell, both transferring in their senior year.
And it certainly made a difference in guarding this year.
Four team to the state title game.
Was traveling going to be called here on Swinton.
Kellen did a nice job there denying Brogdon the ball and that offensive set call and call there but another impressive player off the bench today five nine sophomore are averaging over seven points a game though for coach Martin gassy into the lineup as Flagler working on it when he comes in for Dorsett kick it back out right here a three point shot by BURNETT is off the market basically fill it out here we go on the other end right here Hobbs going to lay it up going for the dark, big foul right there.
And that was BURNETT who went right up with him.
You got to get back defensively.
If you're Buford, you can't sit there and watch.
You got to run the ball.
Well, was thinking dunk right here.
There's no doubt about it the way he went up and that was a hard foul right there.
A lot of contact Got it right on top of the head.
It looked like that.
I think, though, it was BURNETT who took the bulk of it, though.
He's the one that landed awkwardly.
Hobbs would have made the pass.
I think Davis had a dunk on the backside, six and a half for a 6.8 points this year for Hobbs, the junior.
He's a very good player, knocked down the first, second went all the way and it's there five points for Cole Hobbs here in this first half.
Gassy has opened up a 32 to 16 lead over Buford, but just under 2 minutes to play.
Hobbs has got great hands and catches the ball extremely well.
One of the rare times the Panthers had more than one touch have been on the other end right here with this one and out on the other end, Mitchell swings it over to Caleb.
It's like they're going to get Boyd for a reason that Coach Martin can't like this because slowly but surely he's getting into a foul trouble.
Situations and it's three fouls on Trent boy they are six two senior may not see him the rest of the half looks like we're going to have a substitution here.
Andrew Lewis, The six five sophomore set to step in while Taylor makes the first and indeed Boyd will take a seat on the bench in right now gassy as two of their starters on the bench and Dawson and and boy boy we're going to look at Callum's numbers on the season once again the juniors we talked about T.J. shapes also a junior.
A couple of the guys that we've seen on the floor here will be back next year as Caleb knocks down a pair and makes it 30 to 18 with a minute, 27 left in the first half time out on the floor.
A 32nd timeout as we talk about Buford, of course, in the back of the postseason, for the first time in a few years, both the boys and girls teams defeating Laney in the semifinals, playing for their first title on the boys side.
Now they've been to the finals before back in 2000 to 22 high school.
Listen in here to Coach White Hart and Coach Barton in the game.
But you got to talk to each other out there, talk, press it.
See what we got down here.
Just go, Joe.
Let us know that they may not have won.
No.
Let up.
And for gassy, they want to keep the foot off the pedal here.
Definitely.
But one thing I'm encouraged to see with Buford Transition game, they have now won.
They took the bonus scheme due to the fact that they've got gassy in foul trouble and they've got two of their starters on the bench.
And that's due to the fact that they're able they're attacking the basket on the other end, try to feed it out.
Over to Swinton, back into the corner.
Hobbs will pull the trigger and that one in and out one Davis running hits Davis with the tip in off the Miss a three point shot What an athletic play there by AJ Davis who has six and it's 30 for 18 He's going to be a player to watch absolutely having fun watching him here today, that's for sure.
This team is in a 1 to 2 zone and they're loaded, of course, last year, 32 and one state champs, they defeated Thomas Gill right here in this building.
Now against this zone, you got to gap it.
You got to engage two people.
You've got to have man movement, ball movement and baseline movement.
You want to send a cutter and replace the cutter.
Sound like he'd be brown, right?
Yeah, that's me.
I know.
That's where you get your notes.
I love him inside right here.
Sipes Was going up for another dunk, was fouled in the process.
See if you can get some baseline movement in by drawing two people.
There's three guys now have to guard for somewhere else on the floor.
Great job by Buford in their zone offensive attack.
We'll look at tonight's numbers.
This year he's had an excellent junior season, 14.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and a couple of blocks.
As we mentioned, that foul going to be called on Lewis.
He came into the lineup a moment ago for Boyd.
If they can get Buford being, if they can get shapes going in scoring inside, I like the way he's taking the ball to the basket.
Now, if you can start capitalizing on these and again, getting to that jack bench is going to be beneficial for the wolves.
Second one by shots off the mark taken down by Brogdon.
Just 20 seconds left in the half.
Do you see all running right here with a 34 to 19 lead look for the wolves?
Not going to get it back in the time I'm going to be calling here 32nd time out, called by coach Eddie Martin.
He wants to set up a play with 10 seconds left, maybe diagram something up over there.
Well, you know who this is going to be?
They're going to do something either where they can ISO brogdon down low or get him on the wing coming off the screen.
And if they go to hedge or double it, look for Davis to roll to the bucket.
Well, the trio of Brogdon, Davis and Swinton were a little bit banged up through the playoffs here.
Of course, they had some fire bruises in round two, but certainly not affecting them there tonight.
Watch this tip right here by Davis.
Well, that's a thing of beauty.
That's great concentration.
You know, he's a left hander which helped on that.
But that's he went up and got it at the right time and use the glass to put it in.
So 10 seconds left here after the 32nd timeout called by Coach Barton, brought up a play right here, trying to perhaps extend this first half lead.
And since he was in the locker room with even more minutes on the floor as the it now here comes a set watch for a high ball screen and look for Davis to roll three point shot won't go now goes out of bounds it sounded briefly on fire, but it looks like they will put maybe a second back on there.
Maybe 2 seconds, Gary.
All right.
Watch the lob.
Well, that's going to be about all the time.
They've got clock, of course, right now.
Read Triple Zeros, but it doesn't look like they are going to bring the coaches in right here and talk things over if they put time on the clock.
Look for J.C. to run a screen for the screener, either for Davis and or Brogdon, and that you're going to to switch it not once, but twice.
But what a first half little feel for Malcolm Brogdon, 17 points.
Buford certainly didn't want to see that, but that's exactly what he has done.
Brogdon had a little bit of a slow start, but once he got into rhythm, he had to look back.
Well, it's like the old adage Great players play great in big situations and he's brought his A-game to the championship game today.
Well, discussion ensues right here.
It's like we got things worked out, but there's time to put the time back on the clock.
Now, reading one minute, which we know there's not that much time if you're going to guard the inbound or you got to get on his throwing shoulder, if he's trying to get on his right shoulder.
Now, in this case, Davis is left handed.
You want to play his left shoulder?
And I try to get the clock set right here.
I still don't have it worked out.
What now?
They're going to just have to run it down from 55 seconds.
So we've got a little minute right here and we'll get it all worked out eventually.
But it gives us enough time to talk a little bit about this first half.
Alex Flagler with his four points held to four points, Nick Mitchell off the bench, has been the leading scorer for the big four goals in this first half with six points.
He's done a great job giving the wolves some punch inside and taking advantage of the Davis matchup.
Look for them to go into him some more and look for BURNETT in the second half to get going.
And I want to and I'd like to see Lynn get more involved offensively.
He's got to start shooting the ball and taking it to the basket.
Our very own Gil Tyree, of course, will be here at halftime speaking with both principals of both of these schools here.
So you won't want to miss that.
Stay with us right here during the halftime festivities from the Macon Coliseum live right here on GPB.
It's already been an excellent day of high school hoops and still plenty more to come tonight.
Triple play action, of course, following this boy's game here in all that for one second on the clock, right there is the sarcastic claps that are coming from the crowd.
So here we go.
One second lap.
Here's the lob three point shot.
Toss it at the buzzer.
And Flagler, Flagler, they got up and that's how it is.
And so all that and the score is the same 34 and 19 at the break it's gassy here in this first half.
And our very own John Nelson is standing by courtside with Coach Martin.
Thank you, Dave.
Here with the coach Malcolm Brogdon showing first half that he a special player.
He's special.
There's no doubt about it.
I mean, he's done this all year long and but he's got to do it for two more quarters.
We've got to do this for two more quarters.
And defensively, you're keeping them in check pretty much, and they're missing shots inside.
You're not giving them second chances either.
That's the key.
Second chance is I mean, we're pretty good defensively.
They're good offensive.
But if we can keep them from getting to the offensive glass, this second half, we're taking a lot of second chance points away from them.
Thanks for your time, coach.
Good luck in the second half, Dave.
Eddie Martin's got a 15 point lead after 16 minutes and the gassy Spartans have it 3419.
We'll take a timeout.
Be right back.
Our very own Gil Tyree with you at halftime coming up.
Stay with us.

I have time here at McKinley Boys to a state title game.
You see that greater Atlanta Christian on top of 15 over there Buford walls Gil Tyree along with banks Biderman And you know, we said earlier that this was Bill Burton not this is Scott harsh, the principal of Greater Atlanta Christian.
And Scott, you have to feel good right now.
Boy, our great our guys are playing great you for playing well as well.
Congratulations to Buford on their girls win outstanding win great season for them.
But boy, our guys are lighting it up right now.
An exciting game.
You know, we're going to congratulate him a little bit later on.
But I want you to sell gold right now because there's a little trash talking banks.
BIDERMAN Congratulations.
Well, thank you, Gail.
You know, we've got a phenomenal girls program.
Coach Durden has these girls go to the same way and he's got a bought into a process and a program.
And it's just incredible how hard they work and how hard they push it.
And from that, the success this evening, I couldn't be more proud as principal, you know, the storyline of this basketball game.
You know, Dave Gardner and Phil Hanson have brought out that Antonio Davis has two kids, and we knew that going in one place for Buford, Kayla, she had 14 points to lead you to victory.
And AJ plays for Greater Atlanta Christian.
There's split loyalties, folks, but I'll tell you one thing, the real winners tonight could be the Davis family, because they can go home with two state champions.
How does it work with you guys?
You haven't won any have any other I might ask you first?
Well, it's a great family and they show a lot of support, I think, to both schools.
We wish we had both, but both are extremely talented athletes, great kids.
I know both kids and I'm proud of both of them.
But boy, it's fun to watch AJ play.
Is it that last play that we saw the the replay Boy is fun to watch, I tell you.
And I mean this he'll be the best player in the state pre season hands down.
I mean this kid is unbelievable and his sister is unbelievable, too.
And she led you guys to victory.
How is it working with Kayla Davis?
Well, I got to tell you, Kayla is a phenomenal young lady and a blessing to have academically.
She's incredible in the classroom as well.
It's nice to see her in the halls.
She just brings a great smile everywhere she goes.
And, you know, the thing about it is Buford GHC had an incredible relationship.
I've known Scott for years.
I've known Bill Burton for years, and I know some of their coaches.
We have several good relationships, so it's one of those things off the court, off the football field, off the academic field, all those kind of things.
We have a great working relationship, so there's no problem.
But I'll tell you one thing, when we do hit the quarter, we hit the field.
Well, it's game over.
You know, it's a real positive relationship.
And you talked about and I'm glad you said that, Mike, because you guys are really, really competitors, but you're only also great friends.
I want to talk about the B four program.
You've got a softball championship, you've got a football championship, you got a basketball championship for girls.
You could get a basketball championship tonight.
You guys are getting it done in all sports.
Well, I'll tell you what, we believe it.
I have a philosophy of extremely high expectation and high accountability for that expectation, whether it be athletics, whether it be art, whether it be academics.
We feel that all three build on each other and it's one has success.
It rolls into the next.
And I have to tell you right now what we do is push in all areas.
You know, these athletes that we're seeing play on the court this evening academically, I'll tell you right now, Buford High School has moved to the top 5% in the state of Georgia, graduation testing, as well as in the course testing.
So as I said before, they're pushing one team all the time.
Nobody's telling me for better than that.
Gentlemen, I'm going to let yourself go.
See you have an outstanding coach and coach.
Martin.
But it's more than just Coach Martin and his players who he is, and he is a great mentor to our guys.
Boy, we're so excited to have him in our program.
He's been around our program for many, many years, been part of our community for many, many years and our kids.
I also want to say congratulations to Coach Cal Boyd.
Outstanding season with our girls and truly a great coach on and off the court, great teacher in the classroom, and so proud of the job that he did with our girls.
And I got to talk about your communities coming down here, how important it is, what you can see behind me, the community that's here.
Both of us traveled through Atlanta all the way down here.
Macon, we're excited to be here, a strong community, some more.
It's like a small town right on our campus.
And I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world.
This nation represented to this.
I have all these people that come to our to come see these kids that support them.
Well, you know what?
That's an intangible.
It makes these kids push the limits.
And I'm I'll tell you right now, the second half is going to be fun.
All right.
Back.
And Scott would say thank you.
And now let's go to Dave and Phil for first half highlights.
Gentlemen, it is all yours.
All right.
Thank you, Gail.
Before we get to the highlights, though, our very own Jon Nelson is standing by with Coach Weiner.
John, go ahead and take it away for us.
Thank you, Dave.
Here with the coach.
Let's talk about it first half.
I know you were concerned about finishing under the basket.
Obviously, that's huge.
Yeah.
You got to you got to finish those short shots.
And right now, I think our big fella was one of seven from the field.
And those are usually easy buckets for him.
So we've just got to really finish around the basket to be effective in the second half.
And then obviously, Brogdon, it was one of your concerns right off the top and he's had a good night so far in the first six.
He definitely has.
We've got to do a better job of just containing him and I don't think you can stop him, but we have to contain him.
So we really need to step up that effort in the second half as well.
All right.
Thanks for your time, Coach.
Good luck in the second half.
I'll send it back over to you, Dave, for the first half highlights and stats.
All right, thank you, John Brogden.
Indeed, with a big first half as we take a look at some of the plays there in the first half that ultimately contributed to that 34 to 19 lead by Agassi earlier on there, of course, TJ James with the slam, Buford got it going there.
Flagler off the dribble right there and things were looking pretty good for the wolves Big effort by Nick Mitchell The first half we had six points actually led the way for Buford but gassy strong in that first half, able to pull away to that big lead behind some good three point shooting from Cole Hobbs.
And of course, the big effort from Malcolm Brogdon.
He's been a horse all game long.
And look for Jaycee to keep beating him all game and keep him in rhythm.
You've got it.
I don't care if he shoots it every time, Look for Jaycee to make sure he touches it every time down the floor.
And they're going to look at the first half numbers, field goals again, gassy right now, shoot 50%.
That's tough to beat if particularly if you're poor, if you nearly shoot six of 21.
Of course, free throws right there, gassy, perfect at the line.
Turn over six and five rebounds though gassy also getting it done on the boards as well.
Brogdon again with a 17 point first half six of eight from the field seven rebounds to go along with it has been tough it is in that group that field goal percentage for Buford 6 to 21.
A lot of those going again ten feet in Take a timeout be right back with the start of the second half.
We're live at the banking coliseum and we hope you'll join us just a moment.
Stay with us.

As you get to look at the GAC, it's really just trying to fire up what is the home crowd and they don't need a whole lot of firing up right now.
Their team has done that.
They lead it.
3419 definitely.
Look for J.C. to keep going into Brogdon, whether he's on the perimeter and or in the post, J.C. will open the half with the basketball again, A.J.
Davis into to Brogdon right there.
Davis had a solid first half as well with six points, Dawson with four, Hobbs with five.
Trent Boyd also pitched in with a couple, meanwhile for Buford Flagler with four, Kellan with three, Lin with three and James with all three.
And there's two points right there for Davis, who opens up the half with points for the sparks.
And that's awful tough.
If Davis can go basically one on five against BURNETT and score off the perimeter, be as big as he is.
But look, if they're going to guard the same way Buford, that is with Kellerman Brogdon looks for Brogdon the poster and hollow action with Davis and Brogdon Flagler good looking drive right there and the first Buford possession results in points for Flagler who had six back on the other end bounce pass right there though BURNETT did a nice job of step in front of it.
It's hard to feed that post to the top of the key.
You want to make that pass from the foul line and down you have a better angle.
That went partially blocked right there by Davis and BURNETT fouled all the way up Nice job by BURNETT kicking it the ball right at the shot blocker Just too many guys think they hit the jump away because they don't wanna get the shot blocked if you go straight out and put your shoulder on his chest, he can't lock your shot first you get out the lot right here.
Knocks down the first first quarter of the night for Jake BURNETT, the six five senior who's averaged right here five and a half a game there.
You can look at his numbers, three and a half rebounds, an assist to go with it.
It's a very resilient bunch.
They've been in this situation a few times this year where they had to battle back some big deficits.
what a look right there.
that was swatted away.
But goaltending going to be called there on Giants.
I don't know if that would have gone in.
I think he may have missed that if it went got blocked.
Take a little look at it boy who had those three fouls.
Boyd had to sit the last couple of minutes playing with those three.
This is the guy they got to get going within.
He's got to get going for Houston to have a chance here in the second half.
You talk about the history of these two teams.
They played a few times this year.
You see that one rejected by Davis.
Wow.
That's all right.
I mean, if I'm Buford, I have no problem with that.
Keep attacking the paint.
Because if you're going to do that more times, you're going to be able to get your opponent in foul trouble.
Nice job there by Davis to extend away from his body and get that block off the inbounds.
BURNETT thought about three takes it back out Flagler off the dribble spin that's what I love about him he does a great job Final line in down the creating scoring opportunities whether it's for himself or his teammates there's nothing you hate worse as a coach as a point guard, drive down there and produce nothing.
That's a third foul on Dorsett as well.
Tell him once again working gives off the win will back it out Flagler being guarded by Dorsey going to be careful to pick up that fourth one here real quick early this third quarter of the shot take it away though unable to hit it.
Dorsett laid off of that one a little bit defensively.
Got a recent right here on Kellerman looks like at midcourt that's tough on every cheat because again you got to stop the ball but it's tough to tell him to make that play coming from behind the top defender has to stop the ball.
The back defender then gets the next pass and there's a drop after that from the top going replaced with the bottom defender Jessie, with 6 minutes left here in the third, trying to cut into that Buford lead a bit or actually the other way around try to extend it out over here for the little bit and they do right there Trent boy with six points.
It's hard to rotate the inside out.
Every time you do that, you expose the middle, you're going to get killed.
18 point ballgame right now on the other end.
BURNETT Driving in there, but one and out and another whistle here.
Again, it's kind of fool's gold.
You can attack the basket all day, but you got to finish.
I mean, they're getting shots within ten feet, as Coach White Hart alluded to earlier at the break.
But you got to put those in the basket.
If you look at Coach White Hart again, spent time at Centennial High School, did well, had him as the state runner up in seven.
As we mentioned, just one season has Buford in the state championship.
This guy can coach went into the lineup for gassy fires and has got a bad open right here Once again Trent Boyd unable to get the play and Brogdon trying to get the tip it wouldn't go kept alive though by Boyd they're going to flag Kellum right there for his second personal That's just a tough defensive assignment for him They had to guard Brogdon in space whether it's on the block or at the top of the key.
Yeah that's a tough assignment.
You're going to have to get help.
Are you going to double him from the backside where the ball can't see him?
Hobbs him about underneath his own goal here.
Swings it out to Dawson, Gossett and Sweat both of a game right here to guard set.
I love the way Lynn plays.
He's a big time hustling, scrappy lead and it looks like it will be Jake Ball now tied on the floor right here.
Call by Coach Smart with 516 left in this third period for an 18 point ballgame at 4022.
Jessie is done well and they have not come out lackadaisical in the second half at all.
They picked up right where they left off.
Not at all.
I mean, they are forcing the issue.
And the neat thing about this game is both teams mirror each other.
Well, GTP is the only station to broadcast the state high school championship games year after year.

It's always great to have our student athletes showcased each and every year right here on GPB.
We want to continue to keep that going.
So after the time out, GHC with the basketball, an 18 point lead, 540 left here in the third period, they've got to Bill Hansen with you Jon Nelson courtside the GPB sports team in the house right here at the Macon Coliseum for a full night of high school basketball.
We hope you stay with us throughout the evening.
Jesse is now sagging with their man.
If you don't if your man doesn't have the ball, they have a foot in the lane.
nice.
Look inside right there.
Not much you can do about that boy, the benefactor of a great look and help when you rotate inside out from from the baseline.
You expose the baseline you're going to you're going to get hurt.
Nice finish by Flagler flying girls flanker who's been able to answer a couple of those gassy buckets here today.
But other than that, Buford has been unable to really cut into that sizable gap.
No.
And he had the trap they just missed at the top.
And another great look right there, boy, unable to finish forward with his own miss going, puts it back for two.
He's got ten nice guys sticking with that shot trip for the 16 seniors having a ballgame.
He only averages three points a game throughout the season, but already in double figures in this one.
And we're just now halfway through the third quarter.
It's a 20 point ballgame, 4424.
Still plenty of time with this one, though.
Not a bounce, but we got a foul on the floor the way he may have picked up his third.
Nick Mitchell will come in for Buford BURNETT will take the seat about ten Pops will come in for take 402 time out of the floor.
The step side.
Be right back.
20 point game, gassy leads Buford in this region six robbery state championship game.
Stay with us.
Come on.
Gp-B is made possible in part by supporters of the Georgia High School Association, including the following.
Just a reminder, kids who participate in high school activities tend to go a little farther than those who don't take part.

Well, prime time politics and lawmakers join forces to bring you Georgia News and current events every weeknight while the legislature remains in session.
Be sure and watch weeknights at seven for all the latest in Georgia politics only on GPB.
From sports to politics, you name it, CP is all over it.
Well, the big thing here coming out of this time out, Buford can't afford to trade baskets with J.C.
They're not going be able to cut into the 20 point lead.
They're going to have to get defensive stops on the defensive end of the floor.
They cannot just keep going up and down and playing back and forth with J.C..
Here you get a look at Jack's field goal percentage here today, 53%.
You're shooting over 50%.
That's pretty tough to overcome.
It's hard to win against that.
And a whistle underneath right here.
You know, they say, Phil, it's hard to beat a team three times in the same season.
And J.C. may very well be on their way to doing that.
But the previous two meetings between the two have been a lot tighter.
In fact, one of them was in overtime.
So Buford knows they can play with this team, but they've really dug a hole today.
Well, if you beat a team twice, you know how to beat them.
So you can definitely flip the coin on that.
On the other side of the coin, just as easy.
Again, you don't want to try to block that shot if you'll just put your hands up and have him shoot over you, because at this level they're going to shoot about, I'd say, 30% trying to rise up and shoot.
But and the worst case scenario on the free throw line, his worst shooting percentage is going to be 50%.
So you just want to get your hands up and back in the off side.
Defender is the one that you get the block.
tell him that the line misses on the first three points today.
I'll have another right here.
The south ball, they're misses too.
So if he comes up empty on that trip before, it's a team that experience that free time opponent where they lost twice but came back and won and there's a three point shot by Paul Hobbs who has stepped it up a second of the night.
If he gets his feet set and his shoulder squares put it in the book, he's a very good standing shooter.
He's got great hands, the ball extremely well.
big block right there by Brogdon over the top of the back.
The other way it goes big deep.
It's his ten right there by Jesse and that one's worth taking another look see there again the offside defender got the block to one guarding Mitchell had his hands straight up in the air.
I believe it was Davis and Hobbs came from behind and went out of bounds right there.
We're talking about Buford.
Of course.
They have failed to stop Atlanta twice during the season, but they came back in the quarterfinals of state quarterfinals and really, neither one of those two games against South Atlanta during the season were that close.
But you've been able to pull off the 4744 upset.
Flagler had 16 in that one, propelling Buford into the semifinal game where they took care of business by four over Laney.
What an out on that trip, though, right there.
Once again, the rebound by Hobbs Now Brogdon will bring up himself over to Dawson utter three to play here in this third quarter look for a mismatch here in the post Brogdon against Flagler they're going to go inside on that all day triple action coming up as you saw there's Alton in Washington County.
A pair of unbeaten is going at it.
The three girls in there is a big shot by Paul Dawson.
Well, shooting is like hitting.
You know, once one guy hits, the whole team starts hitting and then Hobbs hit that three.
Now Dawson hits a three.
It's very contagious.
Dawson with seven and the scoring has been pretty even other than Brogdon who of course has 17.
But Boyd with ten, Hobbs with eight, Dawson and Davis each with seven and eight respectively.
That one taken away.
And here on the other end is Collin Swinton, who lays it up a time out here soon for the had a full time out on the floor indeed by coach Allen White hard and the beautiful wolves who now trail the defending state champions 52 to 24 with 211 remaining here this third quarter.
There's a big block on one end and then you see what happens on the other end.
The hardest thing to do is to teach guards to catch and look up and then kick it ahead.
They him on a catch and dribble with their head down.
You want to catch eyes up and kick it forward.
We talked about gassy working well out of the halfcourt, but that's not say they can't run it.
They have certainly shown that here today great in transition all day.
Well, as we talked to earlier in the broadcast, Jake has the luxury to be able to go up and down as opposed in addition to play half court basketball.
And when you have Dawson at the point, you know, if he gets a rebound, he's a one man fast break Jazz's road to the as we talked about Albert County was a first round.
Victor Brogdon had 21 in that one and the gassy knocked down ten treys in their round two game against Jordan tonight 69 to 47 win and then Brogdon again with 33 points may have saved his best for the quarter finals against traditional power East wall 65 to 52.
There also had 19 rebounds to go along with it and of course they cruised against Waynesboro the other night.
7158 Brogdon has been very consistent throughout this postseason, which makes him so tough due to the fact that he's still going strong.
I mean, he can take the bigs inside and he's quick enough.
If they pull a big on him, he's going to take him off the dribble and you can post any guard up in the league shifts working had it taken away by Brogdon there and Malcolm quickly found he case in point he got the rebound he's one of your forwards and he's bringing the ball up on the break that's the luxury that coach Martin has with Malcolm Brogdon and his team there You look at the Spartan faithful, much happier than they were in that that girl's game earlier and may have a split decision here tonight.
If the Spartan boys are able to hang on after the Lady Wolves.
The view for the first captured the title earlier.
Now You got your power forward playing point guard to kick it out.
Here's Davis with it.
And a minute 42 on the clock here in the third Dorsett off the dribble little drive draw and dish offense here by the Spartans Nice pass wow what a look up and in and one for Collin Swinton That's a great pass by Davis Quinn with a chance for a three point play the five nine sophomore amongst the towers taking it upstairs as six seven sophomore making that pass at the state final.
That is a big time pass.
Well, it's Swinton obviously at five nine he got stripes over the top there at six seven.
It's amazing he even got that thing up there.
Went not able to hit the free throw, but still 50 for 24.
The advantage now for gassy Mitchell thought about it.
Spin move Turn around.
Nice looking drive there The tip is there for Sykes Conley coming in for a nice volley T.J. with five just a minute.
Roger that.
Time to take it away by Mitchell's turnaround.
Tough shot.
Not the greatest shot.
He didn't have any help on the offensive glass and the alley oop pass right here, a little bit too far away, trying to get the ball into work.
Jump ball, call possession, error in favor of the Spartans.
He will keep possession.
Mitchell never wanted to pull that out.
He didn't have any help down there.
Bigger.
So now Brogdon will inbound it kick it out long right here to Dawson who will set up the half court with under a minute to play third period winding down here and making this to a boys state title game.
Two familiar opponents both from region six gassy the region champs Buford in as a three seed but working their way through the postseason bracket and into the state title game for the first time since 2002.
Meanwhile DC try to make it two straight state titles.
They fell in the semis in 2009 2008, there were 26 and four lost to the second round of this too.
So all kinds of recent playoff experience.
But try to make it back to back time.
This is a frustration.
Failure day by Flagler State.
If you look at AJ Davis certainly had a strong game here so far today when it comes to trap and they're going to halfcourt trap.
You want to post in the middle and keep your wings wide.
Any time the ball goes to the center, look to skip in opposite direction of the pass push right here.
It's going to be three on.
BURNETT Jake BURNETT, the six five senior, the baseball player there.
Several multi-sport athletes are making their college choices.
BROGDON And knocking down the free throw there.
Brogdon, of course, headed to Virginia as we talked about.
Flagler, meanwhile, was undecided there.
The five to the senior you see Brogden's numbers 18 points, nine rebounds today.
His second try to find time for one more for Buford under ten Flagler off the dribble puts one up and hits He does a great job of scoring Alex Flagler well in the third period in double figures and a long bomb right here.
And that'll do it for three quarters in this to a boys title game.
It's gassy.
55 for eight.
We're back with the final eight minute period from the Macon Coliseum When we return.
I wish I had access to the sky for the next generation of telescopes.
A new quest begins.
Can we see the invisible go back further in time?
Reveal mysterious forces shaping the cosmos.

wow.
Look at that.
A bike crazy jingle.
Do they take like a good neighbor?
Step over there.
Hey, guys.
do it again.
Do it again like a good neighbor.
Step over there in my office.
State Farm.
I think we're good.
State Farm agents are there when you need them.
I'm only going to try meth once, and I'm not going to be like that guy.
Hey, look, I'm only going to smoke meth once.
I'm not going to be like that guy.
Look, I'm just going to shoot up just.
Just once, all right?
I'm not going to be like that guy.
I'm not going to be like that guy.
I'm only going to do my house.
I'm not going to end up like that guy.
Gassy with the advantage as we get set for the start of the fourth quarter.
And want to remind folks to make sure to watch replays of all the basketball championship games on PBS's Knowledge Channel beginning Monday.
Replays will begin on Monday with the Class 40 matchups, starting with the girls at eight, followed by the boys at ten Class five games We'll replay on Tuesday with single-A on Wednesday, two A on Thursday and three on Friday.
So out all the replays on GPB knowledge to honor Phil Hansen with it.
Jon Nelson courtside with us as well, along with the rest of the GPB sports team as we open up this fourth and final period that this two boys title game and it's been all gassy, we'll definitely want for music to try to get back into this thing.
There's no 20 point play.
They've got to get good looks, score and then they got to stop on the defensive end.
No foul back up five BURNETT Off the mark, unable to hit sites trying to keep it alive and that's going story of the game that day the inability for Buford to capitalize four feet from the basket.
You've got to finish your layups boy call for the foul inside here trying to kick it back out.
Good ball movement right here.
How about that?
BURNETT With his first field goal of the ballgame, a65 senior, 732 left in the fourth quarter, that's a good way to start it.
If you're a Wolves fan through the fact that now you're able to score nice ball side cut when you pass, do not stand cut to the front of the rim, especially if your man goes to double team.
But now you're able to score here Dave without the clock moving you got to make your free throws not not able to complete the three point play right there back the other way goes 5530 look for a trap situation in the half court said here by Buford both sets of fans having a lot of fun here tonight.
Of course, two programs that are obviously very familiar with each other having to make the trip through to make it to play.
Here it comes each other.
Now, what you want to do, you want to post in the middle and keep your wide enough.
The ball goes to the center.
You want to skip it opposite of the direction of the initial pass.
There it is.
Living it up.
Not the way foul though.
By Mitchell.
Well, as we talked in the break a unfortunately now Buford got a little bit of foul trouble here coming late down the stretch it spurs as if didn't already have that uphill battle to fight to begin with.
As you see points totals today, ten points, three rebounds to go along with.
It misses on the first both sets of fans.
It's been a roller coaster ride really for both of these programs.
Of course, each it looks like going to win a state championship.
So both of them will hopefully leave happy pants.
If you're the husband or the wife or the coach.
Exactly.
There you go.
That those are the only ones that don't count.
There's not going to be a consolation for the players and coaches, that's for sure.
And that one, take it away.
Right.
There is still time, though.
It's not over with yet by any means.
All it does is look at good this around here.
Try to put it in there.
And Mitchell is going to do everything he could to prevent prevent the dunk right there and get the opposing fans on their feet.
That's just all pressure.
Dawson's ability take the ball in 94 feet and then pass into the open man Davis coming down the baseline.
Davis does a real nice job of catching the ball for a big kid.
Now we'll see.
AJ Davis at the line right here, eight points, five rebounds, knocks down the first.
Number five, switching back in along with four excuse me, a gross for five gross Alton GROSS, the A six foot junior.
And along with number 11, Kyle Kellum.
KELLERMAN we've seen the pro centers build on it for the first time tonight.
Again, the junior averaged three and a half points a game.
He might get into the other team's bench, getting them in foul trouble they have to serve and the guy they're bringing isn't as good as the starters that kind of hamstrings you a little bit.
Mitchell Walker Yep, I work it in right here.
This is the shot, the Brogdon double team trying to throw it off of one of the three four players there.
It's a heads up play right there by Brogdon along that baseline as he ran out of real estate line hearts changed his defense is good now he's back to his 2 to 1 press Rosalee to come up and start making that trap.
You can't let the guard survey what's going on If he's just going to read you to death like Matt Ryan, just pick your heart.
Lynn does all the dirty work.
I mean, he scraps, he takes the ball, the glass can hit the open.
Free has great defense feet.
Both teams are in the bonus.
Coach Eddy Martin right here again a third year Coach Agassi been in the game a long time, as we mentioned, very familiar with Gwinnett County basketball over the years, was also a player at Central Gwinnett, won those three titles at Norcross.
You lost three straight titles at Norcross in a six year span.
Life shapes on a dive.
Yes, three point shot by Alan GROSS, who we talked about, who just stepped in the lineup a moment ago.
And now we need to stop.
If you're a Buford fan, one at a time.
As you mentioned, there's that 20 point play you're going to have to chip away here.
And that's obviously what you want right there.
Great job.
I take what you want against that trap.
You want a short pass and a long pass.
Send the cutter.
Replace the cutter.
So nice.
Nice job there.
And a long diagonal pass.
Trent one right there with the two has 13 here.
What a night for Boyd is ten over his average and a lot of that is due that everyone's spending so much concentration and time on Davison and Malcolm jump ball right there possession area in favor of the Spartans You know Brogdon creates so much attention on the defensive end of the floor I mean you have to know where he is and be accountable for him.
You know, oftentimes you'll have to double a glass.
Sometimes the guys might be a little overshadowed by the four and five and so forth.
But Malcolm Brogdon is sort of his hands out.
Yeah, absolutely.
He classification, no doubt about that.
I mean, if you can play in the ICC at a six, 810 man in sack ladies and I would take it away right there Harvard wolves with it again Zach Lin take it away right here and Brogdon making a pay points 19 to 20 with authority.
Case in point he never stops playing he doesn't Cadillac it on the defensive end.
This kid plays 94 feet the whole game.
He is a big time winner That'll get the spark fans on their feet student body here the big cheer on that one and get Davis there the foul take another look at that thundering dunk I mean so you never stop playing He did a great job of trapping the ball from behind where the ball couldn't see the defender Nice job peeked over the student body there as well and think he sees the tape.
Jake BURNETT, three points, three rebounds today.
This is on the free throw sides.
Of course, he's had it tough here today to see Flagler back in anger in the end for gassy because number 20 261 senior.
But it's been a tough day for shine so averages 14.7 He's only got five and of course BURNETT averages five and a half.
He's got three and unable able to capitalize really at the free throw line as we talked about.
It's been a problem area for this big four team, a little bit at a charity stripe to see it 50% free throw and layups.
You got to capitalize in tournament games get up out.
But they've hit about 50% from the field this year, though.
So that's certainly evened out to a certain extent.
But that hurt you in those close games.
Now, defense in the four corners, you want to, keep the ball on one side of the floor.
Think of the court, Dave, as hot as expressway.
You got the right lane, the middle lane in the left lane.
You've got to keep it on one side where you can use the sideline.
The baseline in the halfcourt line is as a defender where one guy now can become three or two can become four.
You can't allow them to keep reversing the ball.
This is Davis at the line and just the first one to bounce in there and Davis in double figures.
Now the sophomore repeat ten, he's going to be a player to watch down the road.
Absolutely.
Just a young guy.
Forget about the fact that he is such a young guy, but he's got some more growing to do as well.
That six foot seven frame, you got to think I just like the way he runs and catches and he runs effortlessly that great first bounce off of one off the mark right there.
Got to try to keep it alive.
Clock at 408 in the ballgame right here, Jesse.
Try to make it back to back state championships this season.
The double bonus here and shapes evening is over.
He had a great semifinal game against Lane.
He made some big time plays down the stretch, had some great play, super defense, nice player, tough outing here today.
We've had 18 of the semifinals against Laney.
Sipes had 20 against Kendrick in round two.
There you look at Dotson's numbers today, he's got seven shots is certainly been one of the reasons that the the big reasons why the group of wolves are here in the state title game today.
He's been very consistent in the postseason up until this afternoon well again, you know he's getting to play against Davis in Brogdon and that's a tough matchup but he did a super, super job in that semifinal game.
Paul Dotson with eight points today.
Here's Flagler working in the lane right through a couple of defenders and gets the lane He's got a dozen so he gets it across again that's 20 Morgan Ingram who stepped in a moment ago.
You got to cover the middle is he going to try to trap that three and a half minutes?
great Look right there by Brogdon and then Davis trying to go out where there was foul shoot a couple right here, get double bonus as you mentioned for gassy the rest of the way.
Anyway, he's not shooting foul right here.
he's like a bounce pass into the post and did a nice job of seeing the floor and that one there for Davis A.J.
Davis again with a dozen points here today and five rebounds to go along with just a sophomore, as we talked about right here back at the lottery.
This last couple missed that one right here, though, for an 11 stroke for a big fella.
Yeah, he really does use the ball well for a big guy, no doubt.
You know, Flagler Drive falls short on the shot up and down the fourth to you.
What feel?
I'm just I'm getting tired just watching these guys They've really been up down the floor for two teams that you know don't necessarily run you know is their game plan.
Obviously, they do well in transition, but these two have been up and down.
Well, when you have guards, you can do that in one good luxury that both these teams had.
As each team is able to run, catch, stop, pivot, pass, dribble and shoot without traveling, they're all able to run and catch and go.
You see the Spartans get rid of a sense of folks on the floor here.
It looks like the final 3 minutes of Dorsett back at the line right here.
That one rolls in and out also with eight points.
And here is number 43, Andrew Lewis, the sophomore, back into the lineup and number 21, Trent Boyd will go out had a nice night 13 points today for the 16th senior He is being congratulated by his teammates and what an effort right here not known really as a scorer but boy he did today.
You love to see that when role players step up and have big nights 66, 35, 3 minutes left in the contest that went off the mark by gross and down on the other end show time right there for A.J.
Davis who cannot be tied out of the floor with 252 left in the ballgame.
One more look at that one.
He's a natural athlete.
His father, Antonio, of course, sibling plays for Buford.
So both player might be the only only people in the building with a chance to both win a state championship, playing on two opposite teams like that.
I guess he needs to show up which ring looks better, which is exactly the Booster club.
And what about what a day it'll be?
You know, for the parents, that's really the only set of parents.
You got to think you would have that that opportunity to enjoy those two state championships with two schools playing against each other like that.
It's truly remarkable.
There you look at Boyd's numbers, it's like his day is done, 13 points, though, four rebounds to go along with that.
And of course, the senior will at his prep career with another state championship.
What did happen here, though, for that one?
Well, like in both these clubs, assistant coaches do a great job of role definition.
Each team, everybody seems to know what they're doing and they do it and they accept their role and they play to the best of their ability.
It's definitely great coaching by Coach Whitehurst and Coach Martin Smart.
Cheerleaders in the house right here.
They were talking about the keys of the game up top.
If we're talking about that, that strength, that power, that diversity that J.C. brings against Buford balance of pressure.
But it's been that strength and power, I think, that have really been the difference on the diversity, because J.C. can play fast, they can play slow, they can shoot the ball deep.
They take it to the basket.
I mean, they're very hard to defend because they're also skilled and talented with their ability to handle the ball.
That's the key to this game.
If you can handle the ball, you can play this game because that's like speaking English or speaking the language.
You could send me over to France now, become ignorant pretty quick.
I speak French.
Let's see, I picked pegged.
You as a French guy.
Got to play.
It's about well, looks like Coach White Hart is going to make a wholesale substitution right here.
We're going to get some other folks in there, including Kobe Darden, who will check in the lineup, along with Eric Barr, a59 seniors, a football player will step in there, Jamal English for the first 21.
BURNETT Still at the line right here for the likely going to come out with a major free throw misses it So he'll stay in here for just a moment.
Number 13, Shaq Gates, the six two senior, also steps in and it looks like we'll have double zero.
Chip Snelling is the six three junior who will step in for BURNETT.
So a fresh five for Coach White Hart and get some numbers in here is Coach Martin.
Also get some substitutions into the lineup for Jesse.
Number 34, Robert Armstrong, the six six junior in along with number 14, the sophomore Kyle Scales.
And it looks like that A.J.
Davis Day is over with as well.
He was congratulated by Coach Martin over on the back bench and will finish with 14 points here today.
Nice job by coach Dwight Howard allowing some of the younger kids experience in the state tournament final.
Well, you know, this is a beer for a team that's not going anywhere.
You know, Phil, as we talk about, they got a lot of juniors, a lot of younger guys here and Coach White, his resumé, you know, he's going to have these guys back at this level.
That's why, you know, everybody wants to win the state championship.
The last game you played it one game does not a season make.
I mean you got to look at the whole collection of work throughout the whole year.
And, you know, really, we all want to win.
But it's you got to look at the big picture.
Paul Dawson's Day is also done.
You saw him over on the bench as well, switching back in right here.
Dribbling kicks it out, three point shot on the way forward, angrily knocks it down.
And Morgan Ingram, the sixth one senior reports his name in the book today becomes the seventh different Spartan to score and he'll never forget that you tell his grandkids you tough are you shut up often the good fathers it's over Joseph when the point man for smart what fresh faces in the lineup right here because there was see number 34 right there again that is Robert Armstrong line this is on the first six foot six average.
It's in a couple of points ball game this year.
It looks like number 23.
Xavier Cunningham will come in for a few for the that'll do it for Ingram who will come out Ingram had a nice semifinal against Waynesboro for 33 Dylan Lee the junior Awesome in for Buford as well And there is one for Armstrong who gets his name with the score book here with a minute 24 left.
So the future of both of these programs, we could be back here for a wrinkle.
I was going to say absolutely.
Z certainly not going anywhere either.
I mean, these guys will be looking to win championship number three in a row next year.
It becomes one of about ten or 11 teams to do that.
Of course, four across was one.
Miller Grove successfully did it last night.
I what it was so much good high school basketball in the state of Georgia and we talk about that you see the number of players going on to college particularly major D1 level.
And it's a truly remarkable the level of not only the players but also the coaches.
I think the something about the coaching as well, the coaching in this tournament alone is off the charts.
These guys do such a great job.
Here is number 33 Dillon Lee another guy will be back six for JR at the line This is all the first number 33 Leland Joseph the six three junior will step in for GHC and it looks like Colin Swinton's day is done the five nine sophomore speaking of younger guys is another guy that'll be around for a couple of years.
Well, he knocks down one of two 7236 and you see the you see the mob over there on the sideline there.
But Jack Bench certainly feel now that would not go any farther.
On Snelling as the final 33 seconds will play out here in the moment.
Of course, coming up, we'll be following the contest championship trophy presentation.
So very own Mark Harmon will be courtside with us.
Looking forward to it.
Big crowd on hand here today for both sides who have filed in and you can only imagine what's going to get even bigger for the triple play.
You know, that's the crowd.
That's pretty much been the same crowd because obviously Jack Buford for two games now back to back.
And they've been able to really get comfortable, especially in such a nice day outside.
I mean, this place is really coming together fan wise.
Been a great tournament the whole week.
Making does a superb hosting, a long time venue, that's for sure, for high school championship basketball, great partnership between the Georgia High School Association and also GPB Hard.
These both these teams are still playing well.
You know these are the younger guys trying to earn future playing time as well trying to make an impression on these coaches.
It's definitely epitomizes the coaches themselves.
I mean, these guys are going to play whether you're down 20 or 3010 that matter, they're going at each other will sweep the season series over Buford long time region six rival.
But this one right here, of course, the most important win of all the last one in the bracket state championship game, Dylan Lee finds himself back at the line.
This is a pair, though, and that's rebound that's going strong to put it up wouldn't go for loose under 10 seconds to play scales will push it whistle the foul right they're going to be called with 4 seconds left think what's been fun Buford certainly nothing to hang their heads about here 11 final fours including the one this year, dating all the way back to 1976.
They went 80, 86, 89, 93, 94, 96, 0105 of those six back to back was a point there for Cal skills who asked his total about the AC with nine of their own dating back to 1971.
They also went 7277, 78, 87, 9209 and last year three straight and the final seconds going all the way.
And that will do it 70 to 36.
Well, there's still one more second left on the clock there.
The celebration is on, but they'll have to pull them off the floor for one more second.
Inbound the ball will be done.
Well, I've enjoyed it.
I'll tell you what.
Competitive game early, gassy though just too much, along with Malcolm Brogdon, who was held pretty much to check that second half.
But he didn't have to do much.
The damage was already done 20 points for Brogdon and that will do it for the greater Atlanta Christian Spartans are your 2011 class to a boys state champions their second straight state title What a job by coach Eddie Martin and the boys from gassy to avenge the earlier loss by the girls of the two boys.
So both of these rivals a state championship when it's all said and done.
Buford winning on the girls side, gassy winning on the boys side here this afternoon.
What an effort.
It was a great game if you just if you going to capitalized early on some of those close opportunities at the basket could have been a different story.
But gassy is definitely the class of the double play competition take a timeout be right back with championship presentation.
Stay with us.

Thank you so much, Mark.
Going to introduce our friends from State Farm to present the hardware for the State champions on behalf of State Farm, we'd like to present the Double A-class Champions Trophy to great Atlanta Christian.
congratulations.
The Greater Atlanta Christian alongside coach Eddie Martin.
Coach back to back champions.
Talk about this year's team.
Well, I don't know what to say.
I mean, back to back is a unique situation.
Little kids don't ever get to having this group of leaders work extremely hard all year long.
And I'm just very proud of very, very proud of and a great group of seniors through this year.
yeah, I'm a graduation is going to hit us hard, but we're going to enjoy it until graduation.
Get to you alongside one of your seniors, Malcolm Brogdon.
Malcolm, talk about going out with back to back state under your belt.
It's a great feeling back to back.
I mean we have a great we have the best coach in the state that's all I can say.
You're off to Virginia for your college basketball but this is a memory that dual treasure a lifetime, I'm sure.
Talk about that.
Yes.
I'm just I'm just really happy.
I don't know what to say about you.
Have a million watch.
Smile.
I know you got a lot of Spartan fans over there.
Give them one last salute.
Yeah, let's get it.
there you have it.
There you have it.
To see a winner.
Back to back state championships.
Congratulations.
The Spartans.
And now let's throw it back to our Gil Tyree Hard.
Mark Harmon.
We say thank you and congratulations to Coach Martin and of course Malcolm Brogdon and the rest of the Spartan crew.
They got it done today.
I'm joined with, as always today by Scott Javits and of course, the great Herb White.
And Herb, you called this from the outset.
Your man got it done.
Well, he certainly did in the first half.
He got them off to the start.
They needed at about 14, I think, out of their first 20 or 22 points and then just let the other guys take over.
Really, the key today, I thought, was their defense.
And if we get a chance to coach Martin, I'd be interested to hear what he said.
Buford was supposed to be the team that can play the defense.
Greater Atlanta Christian smothered him, and we're going to get a chance to talk to Coach Martin in the postgame show as we continue our coverage here at GPB.
And I want to go to Scott Jarvis, and I want to piggyback off of what Herb said.
Defense was supposed to be the name of the game for Buford.
Well, absolutely.
Buford, a defensive oriented team, has been all year.
They love that low scoring game.
And as soon as we realized they were not going to be able to impose their will on this offense, I think it was lights out because we knew they weren't going to be able to win a shootout in 76 points.
Way too much for J.C. Like, you know, we talked about Brogdon, but he had some company.
He had some help.
A.J Davis is unbelievable.
Just a junior.
And you look at him and you say, wow, you got a lot of room to add weight, become a stronger player with your back to your basket and boy I'm saying it now.
He's going to be one of the best players in America two years from now.
And as proud daddy, the NBA is Antonio Davis, I'm sure will make sure he gets in the weight room.
But you're absolutely right.
He's going to be one of the top players in the country come next year.
You know, I want to ask you this, Herb, like when you talk about Eddie Martin, where does he rank right now in terms of Georgia high school basketball history?
Well, he's right up there at the top, but not two in my right up at the top, in my opinion, with a few.
You know, anybody that can go from one school have great success like he did at Norcross.
He had success before that.
And then he was about to retire.
I talked to him after he had his last game at Norcross.
He said, I'm not ready to go out to pasture and play golf.
And of course Greater Atlanta, Christian approached him, talked him into coming out and coaching him.
It's it's unbelievable what he's done.
All right, Herb, thank you.
Still to come, we're going to check in with the victorious Davis along with the aforementioned coach Martin.
Our postgame continues here in Macon.
2A final boys.
It's in the books.
It's all about greater Atlanta.
We'll return after these important messages on Georgia Public Broadcasting.
