He's coming in inside to slam Tan and pull up from three and watch this sky goal drive backs it in and gets it from the Macon Coliseum in the Making Center flex.
Make it madness Day two.
It's time for the boys class to a championship.
Calhoun an out of reach in seven coming in with a record of 25 and two going up against greater Atlanta Christian at a region six undefeated with a record of 31 No I'm John this is Sean Calhoun chasing after their first title in basketball history.
Boys or girls have not lost in almost two months.
Greater Atlanta Christian Sean, an entirely different story.
Numbers are staggering at times.
A 49 game winning streak coming into this game.
And they got a lot of talent across the board.
Well, they've got talent across the board.
But the key is don't put pressure on yourself tonight for winning the state championship.
More importantly, try to go undefeated, John.
That has got to come in here and play well.
Eddie Martin, Gassy playing for that fourth title appearance in the last five years.
And there's a very famous last name that we're going to be paying attention to when it comes to the Spartans of Gassy.
Yeah, Wilkins is a player that we're talking about.
This young man committed to go to Virginia, about six foot eight can really play off the ball, shoot the ball deep rebounds, athletic.
He's a guy we're going to watch tonight.
All right on the Calhoun's.
All right.
Let's talk about Wilkins.
You know, we talked about him a little bit here.
You got to look at that here first and foremost.
But a big front line that Greater Atlanta Christian has and he's obviously going to be key to this averaging a double.
Double.
Yeah.
The stepson of Mr. Dominique Wilkins, this young man comes in here averaging a double double 18 points, ten rebounds a game.
He scores inside and out, has a nice stroke, nice touch, but he has great heart and a big motor.
So he plays hard.
Also, he has a lot of fitness because the way that he scores the ball heading to Virginia.
Now to the flip side.
Calhoun and Balance.
Yeah, Bert is the other player.
We're talking about the defensive specialist on this Calhoun team.
John six foot three.
But with a seven foot three wingspan in set up player, he's going to play football at Kennesaw State next year.
Last game out versus Bhadelia, who was undefeated 24 rebounds, wanted him to be a post presence.
Now, look.
All right, Let's take a look at our starters brought to us by our friends at Regions Bank.
It's time to expect more.
It is widely the Rev Chandler, Curtis Austin Bird.
And yes, that is correct.
It is Keith White mastered the man in the middle for the Calhoun Yellowjackets.
On the flip side for the Spartans, Troy Morrison, Cam Boyd, the son of Cowboy, the women's coach GHC, Eric Jamieson, Justin Lewis and Isaiah Wilkins, who we talked about in the open balance scoring for Calhoun.
Across the board, GHC has a lot of stars.
Let's go to the keys to the game.
And what do you see down?
Who wants tempo?
They want to go up and down, Ugly Betty.
They don't.
They do not mind an ugly game tonight.
That's only for four loose balls.
They're going to make it ugly.
What about the flip side for gassy with gas?
He's going to come in.
We talked about them staying focused.
Focus.
You going for undefeated season.
You're nationally ranked stay focused, win the championship played to your strengths Do not come into the season to the game tonight John and play outside of your strengths do the things that got you here to the championship keys to success brought to us by our friends at the technical college system.
Georgia Tech.
USG Learn more, Earn More.
Eddie Martin right there in the front in the white sweater, head coach at Greater Atlanta, Christian has the pedigree as a Gwinnett County coach.
His first job actually was in 1978 as the eighth grade coach at GHC, and if he looks a little different, lost £52 in the off season plus the mustache.
The mustache was a bit of a security blanket for him, but that's all gone now.
He said he should look more like a basketball coach instead of a defensive lineman.
There is Vince Larson.
Eddie Martin has more years coaching experience than Vince Larson has on his driver's license.
Larson, 31, in his second year, coaching.
Calhoun.
And if the name Vince Larson is familiar to you in central Georgia, it's because he led the Gatewood Gators to their only title in the JSA back in 2001 a thousand points score as a guard for the Gateway Gators and head coach Buster Douglas.
We're about to get the Double-A championship underway at the Macon Coliseum.
Troy Morrison will work it up for the Spartans.
Calhoun will play man.
You see them funny down low trying to get walking three does jumper around rebound kicks it back out jumper outside rim OSU two off the start in the second opportunity Calhoun bringing it back with That's good but Calhoun John because he's not giving to come up with that quick spark flat jumper that time by Chandler Curtis coming back the other way Jaycee off the glass no good Wilkins fighting for it up high second chance in that's what he does well he rebounds he's going to score in all three two ways in the game tonight.
You have to keep them off the offensive glass.
45 seconds in two points on the board.
They go to gassy.
They'll break the ice here.
Tough man.
Defense GHC would go to zone if they need to, but they're going to be content to play man most of the time.
Let's go.
Their points in transition jumper from the outside for Calhoun rimmed out on the three Wilkins rebound outlet to Morrison He'll bring it past halfcourt Well set up the offense and minute 15 in Wilkins free throw extended rimmed out no good coming back Calhoun one and done for ASU ball incidental contact there on Kalyn Riley right there looking for a whistle didn't get it so John gassy is forcing Calhoun to play on the perimeter with this two three zone which is good thing that's called coaching they're probably going to play zone on that makes a man in there misses miss by Curtis on the three tapped up in the air brought back by gassy Wilkins in that six seven frame Going to be a presence early on and you've got Justin Lewis three at six six Wilkins at six seven posting up It's going to create matchup problems for the Yellowjackets to see just how much of a problem as we go.
Justin Lewis with Morrison's Heavy hands by Calhoun behind the back in Wilkins baseline drive turn and that's it we talk about ugly basketball charges deflections loose balls the type of play that Calhoun prefers John And right now GHC playing directly into their hands.
Another look at it down low Yeah that's Wilkins just knowing that shoulder Great position good defense textbook taking that charge outside the paint white man turned into a charge master on that one two and a half minutes in and then one bucket on the board.
Three point no good fight.
Nashville chasing after it.
Which direction does it stay?
Stays with Calhoun What cans working defensively for gassy Finally come up with the turnover and boy gets back misses the layup We're going to call foul and I'm going to go back to our keys We're talking about Lake Liberty but basically talking about the basketball.
And this is a great play.
He'll tell who won it down on the block even though they did get the and the foul.
That's the type of play that Calhoun prefers.
It's okay You're going to earn it from the free throw line Chandler Curtis gets the foul making an appearance here in Macon Curtis under playing football for coach LAMB here at Mercer next year the other way and Bobby played for Halep and Calhoun coming down here to play for Bobby at Mercer Free throws Miss Rebound on the inside for Calhoun Jarrett Wilson with it guarded loosely by Riley now Chandler Curtis still working the perimeter on the cut kicks it back outside about 15% better of it and get back out around on rotation baseline drive against Wilkins shot was short rebound up and in no good on the attempt there gassy coming back with It's like they're going to set up Morgan called for it one of the three Wilkinson jams let's call penetration off the transition John and Wilkins there instead uses athletic ability to throw it down hard.
Calhoun almost lost it on the cross-court pass coming out of bounds and with four points on the board.
But they're all gassy so far.
Wilson A long three look short in front of the rim.
Rebound underneath is good.
First, two points on the board.
There's the ice breaker for Austin Bird Well, that's what you have to do, John, against this team.
Attack them inside, especially with Wilkins picking up their early foul.
He doesn't want to pick up two here early in the first quarter.
Jamison thought about the drive, picked it back out.
Boyd missed the three rebound Austin bird and back comes Calhoun hands in the passing lane Boyd knocks it out of bounds sticks with the yellowjackets with 349 to go here first quarter three buckets two of them for gassy one to Calhoun and Boyd will sit for a little bit there Covington number ten in ten white out to guard gyro Wilson fight nasty looking inside bird got it back inside inside Wilkins is not going to continue too much because it doesn't want to pick up that second foul here early in the first quarter of the game Nance into the paint but Wilkins kicks it back out Covington no coming back is Calhoun looking for the lead active hands once again Kalen Riley gets fouled and he'll go to the line which I know by this kind of set the tone with the tempo the way the game's going.
So that actually was a good possession defensively for Calhoun.
Now call on Justin Lewis and we're going to take a break.
313 for the first and Isaiah Wilkins making a statement early on for GHC, GHC and Calhoun tied at four on the great GPB.
Welcome back Macon Coliseum Macon center flex 313 for the first Calhoun and greater Atlanta Christian tied at 14.
Let's take a look at the road to the championships produced by our friends at Georgia EMC Georgia EMC lighting the way 61 point win over Union County model by 18 Jefferson by 13 and a very tough Laney squad.
Only an eight point win.
One of the few times this year that Gassy has won a game by less than ten points.
It was only the fourth time overall that that has happened to match up Calhoun today.
Now, on the flip side, the Yellow Jackets nine point win over the green wave beat Westminster by 22, a very tough Coosa Squad 6759, a northwest Georgia battle there and then the big one, knocking off previously unbeaten Vidalia by 13 to get to this game here.
That was a huge game.
That was a statement game for this Calhoun team.
John once again wrote of the championships brought to us by our friends at Georgia's EMC, Georgia, EMC lighting the way.
And there's the man in charge, Vince Larson, 31 years young voters Z and House teaches that Calhoun was an assistant coach for six seasons before he took over two years ago.
About as loose as you can be coming into this game.
Both he and the kids talked to him before the match.
He was ready to go first, free throw up and good.
But Jalen Riley Yeah, the confidence is good now for Calhoun.
John having a lead in this game with 313 to go in the first quarter, this is a tempo that they like to play this is the second free throw.
Calhoun with a one point lead early field goal numbers for you Calhoun two for their first nine gassy two for their first eight on the drive another whistle Troy Morrison going to the bucket doesn't get the basket it looks like a foul on Austin Bird.
It'll be Austin Bird's first record on three Fight Master instead 32 instead of 22 Free throw is good and the tide once again.
Lawson a starter last year.
He's the guy that sets folks up on this offense, leads the team in, steals with six and a half to game assist wise leads the team in steals averages just under nine points and three rebounds a game fight master will take a seat and Ryerson 20 black now in replacing fight master after he picked up that first foul Jake with a one point lead gassy back to that two three zone zone John trying to match up force the perimeter play here from Calhoun Curtis and Wilson playing catch Curtis five looking for the introduction to the paint Byrd high right handed shot no good Wilkins the easy rebound outlet Troy Morrison Big Cross court in a hurry.
Covington Easy to Anytime you send five guys to the offensive glass you got to protect the transition basket Calhoun didn't get back easy to four Jake is still working it zone thought about it Jumper double team there Riley had it lost possession of it out of bounds will stay with Calhoun last touch by gassy Let's take a look at that on the break Yeah transition always a key in any type of game you got to protect the back court because you can't give up easy uncontested baskets when Riley driving right hand short Wilkins rebounds Morrison bringing it down for see that cross court has been there more than once Covington thought about it kicks it back out Jumper good by Justin Lewis and John I'm sitting here thinking the first team that establishes some type of perimeter play is going to control the tempo of this game.
And Jack is doing a great job up by five in the playoffs.
Louis has had double doubles last three times.
Outlander, blue collar guys, the Windex guy.
I'll do the clean up on the rim for Eddie Martin right now gassy up ten five They're on a6013 pointer Good will bring it back the other way Chandler Curtis with the three Wilkins jumper Short break Jake crashes with two Calhoun comes out with the basketball driving losing it out of control coming down the other way easy layup Tyler Hamilton with to make it 12 eight Ryerson and Curtis playing catch up high to free zone still packing it in for gassy third low corner entry pass turn Ryerson gets the bank Yeah the bank was open there for Calhoun Great way of attacking the zone right there at the high post 1210 under a minute to go first quarter loop pass coming back the other way Calhoun coast to coast off the glass not there.
Wilkins rebound wasted opportunity for the Yellowjackets back comes gassy with numbers four on two dipsy do was missed rebound by Wilkinson Yeah five guys got to retreat in transition and great follow up by Wilkins Dunn he's playing up and down the court now hitting his outside shot being very effective on the offensive glass looking for one shot.
It's going to have to happen in a hurry.
And a foul call on Troy Morrison on the reaching Kalen Riley and John.
That's not good That's not a good foul there for gassy again attacking the offensive glass tried to go underneath for the reverse layup this book is there following up for the easy basket working so far in the first quarter six points and seven boards season averages 18 and ten well on his way there 1.2.
Got to put up something quick Kaitlyn Riley off the rim no good and that'll do it for the first 8 minutes back and forth early on Gassy and Calhoun chasing after the boys double title Isaiah Wilkins making a statement early for the Spartans.
How will the Yellowjackets respond?
We'll find out when we come back from the great GPB.
Welcome back to Macon Coliseum, JK 14 over Calhoun at ten.
Guys, you might recognize that number 21 out on the court for his performance, but you also might recognize his last name, Wilkinson.
He is the stepson of the former great Atlanta hawk Dominique Wilkins.
Now, that's not the important thing, though.
It's the performance of this kid all season.
He's had 17 double doubles this entire season.
He's also coming to the University of Virginia.
But I talked to Eddie Martin earlier this week and he said it's the work ethic of this kid that stands out.
He says he's constantly in the gym that they have to close the doors, otherwise the kid would be in there all the time.
It's obviously making its mark out on the court tonight.
Back over to you, John and Sean, Thank you, Raven.
She'll be patrolling the other side of the floor for us all night to keep us up to date on what's going on.
Celebrity locks last night, keeping us up to date on X's and O's as we start the second 8 minutes.
First impressions for you.
Well, the question mark, John, is both teams combined one of ten from a three point line and both 18 rebounds.
So someone steps to making baskets and hitting shots so we can get on road.
Calhoun started off for six and they've hit four of their last ten Wilkins jumpers Square Got it Nice touch go from the 15 foot range nice touch He's now made four their last six from the field leads up to six at 1610 Wilson and Curtis up high.
Jason you still happy with that?
Two, three.
They're out of launch Three guys.
Yeah.
That was a good shot.
Great.
Finish chasing the half on screen.
Johnny gets a23 zone.
He stepped into it, did a great job of pulling up for three Curtis Now with six both three pointers Wilkins will try it again off the rim too hard coming back the other way it's gassy off the rebound fight master with a hand in the alley Got it Turnover for Calhoun Chandler Curtis thought about it Wilson fight master now Yeah and fire master John nothing his athletic ability going to Sanford it's a high jumper state championship state champion high jumper so he can really get up see if he can finish this off with two points from the free throw line.
Foul foul on Tyler Hamilton for gassy nice rotation in the free throw Gordon he's got that high jumper looked up and he just Scott like seven foot one if he can Dwight Stones here I just dated myself with that reference Second free throw good 1615 to fight master free throws it got it down to a one point game The lead was six a while ago but a Curtis three and the two free throws by fight master of taking a draw a one point game a minute and a half and counting into the second quarter.
Wilkins looking for someone to pass it two It's all packed in jumper from the outside rim.
No that's what they're going to call over the back on Eric Jamieson and see what Calhoun's doing on there.
Taking away the inside play there.
Wilkins He can't penetrate from the top, making all the other guys on the team beat them.
They've got to knock down some shots.
Lucas can't do it on his own.
Boyd Back in Covington, out for Gassy so the starting fives back on the floor for Eddie Martin Calhoun trying to take the lead after being down six no more than just about a minute ago Chandler Curtis trying to draw Boyd way out in at two three double team in the corner easy right hand shot off the back of the rim No good rebound picked up by Tyler Hamilton Hamilton drives center the floor no traffic there but once again hands in the passing lane create another turnover by gassy and back comes Calhoun to set up an offense Yeah ugly basketball Zach we'll be seeing him now John and that's the style of play the Cavs always make it look early make it ready and hit some shots RIM no good Two gassy players fighting for coming out with a Justin Lewis and a Troy Morris and Molson will bring it up We're out by Tyler Hamilton with the arm tries to put up the shot doesn't go That's our call a foul on Calhoun foul on fight master his first Nelson Tyler Hamilton to the line Hamilton on the air averaging six points a game three rebounds two assists coming off the bench for the Spartans A little mix the first gets the good roll see if I'm coach Martin Now John, I might want to extend the pressure defensively, get the Maye free throw you get the triple back in control in our hands You playing into the hands of Calhoun defensively in a23 zone and he's hitting the outside shots ostensibly you're taking so much time off the court you guys are playing the last deciding Martin directing a little traffic there with his free throw rims in.
So right now, here's a great time to gain that momentum.
Put some pressure on the ball, Justin, The defense Covington coming out to me.
Darren Wilson with it.
Curtis thought about the free kicks it back out he's guarded by Tyler Hamilton up five Take the jumper line drive no good rebound Wilkins Wilkins with flare Hamilton was caught high They wanted to go way up high fight master with that jumping ability and other hand in the passing lane knocked it out of bounds Yeah that's just great defense transition getting back protecting the basket It could've been easy to on the lob last touch by Jack Calhoun and bring it back to him Wilson and Curtis Jaylen Riley fight master Austin Byrd year five right now for Calhoun talk Troy Morrison Jarrett Covington Justin Lewis Wilkins and Boyd for Jack Quick pass up high Riley on the baseline Back out to Curtis Thought about the drive kicks it back out Looks right again four and a half minutes to go first half Jake with a three point lead on Calhoun a back and forth ball game He has been six at points a couple of times too long.
Three point attempt way short in the paint.
It's like they're going to call a foul on Cam Boyd on the reach in that time on Austin Bird and that's what Calhoun has understand they got to go inside attack Wilkins he made what the first shot he made what?
The second shot.
John But he's not trying to pick up their second foul since 16 foul for GHC, those free throws long the fight master will sit again.
Ryerson comes back in 20 block second free throw.
That is a loss It goes in the margins back to two right now Good perimeter numbers Jack serious and free throws a lob Here's a lob Here's the lob.
Wasn't there.
That screen was set off like an elbow to the chops almost at Troy Morrison.
You saw his head snap back as Jared Wilson fired him on the way by.
Yeah well they set the flat screen on the baseline John and look for the lob to Wilkins.
You just got to defend it.
Well that's good defense on Calhoun's behalf and trying to do that any part and trying to create some kind of momentum, some kind of a boost that he can give because the ugly Betty that you were talking about early on, that's what we got.
Yeah, that's exactly what you have.
But here's the thing.
If you want to win a championship, you can't create the momentum offensive.
You got to do it on the defensive end.
And that we did a great easy scoring basket for young offense.
Morrison up high guarded by Wilson inside on Ryerson up and in count it the foul great basket three point play Good job Morrison Just knowing that Schroder getting to the rim for the end 13. play complete margin back up to five at 2116 again I'm going to talk about a little bit more.
This is when you extend the pressure, this is what you gain the momentum.
You score a three point play.
Now you exert a little bit more energy defensively to create turnovers.
Ryerson out Hi Sara Wilson Alston Bird Chandler Curtis over by Garrett Covington back nearside again to Wilson Ryerson Way out Give him go off the elbow kicks it back out and try to reset trying to find some kind of an opening some kind of penetration Curtis A long three got it yeah when they can hit those outside shots.
John that hit three in the first half and attacking those open gaps in the zone.
Curtis's third three, he has nine.
He hit four in the quarterfinals against Cusa.
On their way to that win.
He had 20 in that game.
He's got nine of Calhoun's 19 now.
Calhoun's perimeter defense.
Wilkins Easy.
Two.
Yeah, that's a great move.
That is a fantastic move.
That's NBA move with his spin on the baseline, the reverse.
They got something.
I'm sure he was taught by the old man from the Hawks.
It's a speed on the baseline.
Tell the defense off use the rim protect the ball well and Austin Byrd his second so I'm going to pay attention to the Calhoun 251 to go first half make it madness continues Jack up for we'll have the rest of the first half on GPP when we come back Welcome back Macon Coliseum Macon Center flex 251 for the first half watch Georgia outdoors from inside your living room will have able to cozy up with mats and frogs coaching up a match and frogs great heart to do that at Sherron Collins for you to get the hang of the beach with sea turtles by golly ultimate get wild will Sherron Collins videographer Shane Keating and nature at its best watch Georgia outdoors on the great GPB and they go a lot of places let you know about Georgia first hand up close and personal great show here in Georgia public broadcasting and there the Jabberwocky is, I guess, for lack of anything else to call.
These are white out there in the U.S. fish see right out of state championship games here in Macon, Georgia.
John, looking at the stats here before halftime comes in to 51, Gassy is establishing themselves inside right now.
They're leading the points in the paint, 14 to 6.
So obviously that was something a conscious mindset for them to attack inside against Calhoun and use your size athletic and ability to game the bench And that man right there, he might have a double double in the first half by the time they're down ten points nine boards right now, free throw up front of the rim No good.
Picked up by Kaylynn Riley for Calhoun margin still at four Nelson looking for any kind of rotation but as a signal Ryerson out high John Boyd with his getting a man to man first time all game on Riley driving is it up and in is the Ivory Coast Martin realized it's going to be hard to defend this cowboy team when you go man to man because they go to the basket for the easy to pass on the inside by Jarrett Covington is the victim of a kick and so they reset it on the baseline.
Morrison will inbound back the paint looking for a three too much but look he's there getting knocked away for the two and Calhoun will come out with it but hands active once again Troy Morrison making up for the miss on the offensive end comes back on the defensive end and will start the offense.
You know, he redeemed himself getting the ball back in the transition turnover Boyd over the top to Wilkins Whistle on the inside and go to the line again It's like this one's on Ryerson or is it on Kalen Ryan It's on Riley and the his first looking to see if he can add to those numbers when he does.
He's got a nice stroke there from the free throw line.
John Looks good great looking basketball player.
He can have a good career and he got Jamison in Covington out to gassy for under 2 minutes to now go first and J.C. up three 2421 second free throw no good Austin Byrd the easy rebound with jazz more defensive posture than he calls the offensive set penetration inside change of direction up and end on the way up Jarrod Wilson for 2 minutes for Coach Martin to change that defense go back to that two three zone because of a man to man that using the high ball screen and attacking the rim, making the Wilkins guarded by Ryerson takes it back out.
Boyd thought about the jumper moved his position squared fire Got it.
Nice shot fake nice fake good solid through and needed outside shot for Jack Key fight master ready to check back in for Ryerson at the next dead ball coming up on 70 seconds to go first down Calhoun down three 2623 Ryerson looking to drive ball deflected Brookings deflects it twice coming back out with it in transition wide open down low Missed the hack got the bucket Justin Lewis gains John we're talking about gaining momentum momentum is only gain at the defensive end.
You got to stop.
You've got to transition basket.
That's what Eddie Martin wants to do.
He wants him to play free but within the structure and have fun doing it.
And they're doing it so far up by five at the break.
Coming up on 30 seconds to go first down Jarell Wilson with it Cam Boyd on him with Barton challenge coming up on 20 seconds Ryerson looking for anyone to pass two steps to look for a last second shot here with 19.7 to go John here in the first half gassy up by five.
This is going to get the ball the high post look to isolate to finish out and insulation brings in fight master so it's the two time guys Ryerson and fight master going up against Lewis and Wilkins shot deflected 5 seconds to go and Calhoun get a bucket behind the back to fight master for the game Hey now you talk about momentum going into halftime that's Calhoun playing the Calhoun way a fancy way to put two on the board to close the margin to 2825.
And Raven has Eddie Martin touch stylistically what do you think you can change so you can play GHC basketball instead of Calhoun?
Baskets Well, we're hoping we can make some adjustments at halftime, start doing.
That's what we're hoping be able to do.
What are those adjustments?
Coach Well, we got to play a little bit better defense.
We're getting them two good looks at the basket and we're not doing much on offense right now, but staying and we got to move a little bit more and run some of our stats and we'll try to get that second half with that man to man.
Those high ball screens seem to be killing you.
Do you think we'll see a zone coming out of the second half?
We'll see that, Coach.
Good luck.
All right, back over to you, Mark.
All right.
Thanks very much.

All right.
We're getting ready for the second half of the boys Double-A game.
Jaycee is 31 and Calhoun is 26 and two.
Both these teams does excellent.
They played a great first 16 minutes.
Yeah, fans know it and they're letting us know it as well.
Coming up, you don't want to go anywhere because John Dalton and John Gordon will have the second half of this incredibly exciting game.
We will be back right here live on DVD welcome back.
Macon Coliseum, Macon Cineplex, getting ready for the second half here.
The boys championship right now, undefeated Jack chasing after their 50th consecutive win, leading Calhoun only by three at 28 to 25.
I'm John.
This is Shawn.
You said in your keys that the game for Calhoun was to be an ugly Betty.
Well, Ugly Betty is a tough words way to describe this game, But we're right on cue, John.
Both teams three for 18 from the three point line.
And both teams are not No one is shooting, John, over 68% from the free throw line.
So Ugly Betty is definitely in the building.
All right.
Let's find out how we got to where we are.
The 53 points on the board.
Chandler Curtis Will Calhoun deftly has established himself as being able to score outside one play and Curtis hidden all of the threes here in the first half so that's good for Calhoun CAC on the other hand, one player's dominating inside out and that's good because that's what he loves to do.
He's averaging a double double gets him up in the paint, the first pivot, scoring, doing what he does best and we'll look at the stats not shooting the ball well deep 18 from the three and free throws.
Calhoun has a total of six and Jaycee has attempted ten.
So the fouls not no one is being aggressive, John.
And if you keep up this pace again, we're going to see Ugly Betty show her face.
We'll see if she shows up in the next 16 minutes at time.
Stats brought to us by our friends at Farm Bureau, Georgia, and the stats courtesy of our friends at West Georgia Technical College.
Isaiah Wilkins for GHC 11 points in the first half to go along with nine rebounds.
Leading scorer for Calhoun Chandler Curtis You saw his three threes remind it once again he had four threes in the quarter final win over Cusa on his way to a 20 point performance.
And are we going to keep seeing Ugly Betty as long as Calhoun stays the way it is?
Well, if the game stays tight, John, at the time, who's definitely going to stay with this style of play.
The GSC is the main concern.
I don't believe they plan to win.
I think they're playing not to lose.
And when you play not to lose, you tend not to be as aggressive as you should be.
And the aggressiveness, I mean, you see, fits in here where the teams have been belligerent defensively against the other three.
Yeah.
And right now we're seeing two teams just kind of know playing not to make mistakes and see what happens in the second 16 minutes here.
Jaycee has the basketball to start things off.
Third quarter, They'll be moving left to right this time.
They'll be starting fires starting five.
Looks like they're both in from the beginning of the ballgame.
Troy Morrison, Greater Atlanta Christian, guarded by Jarrod Wilson, Hamburg flashed also flashing with Justin Lewis off the underside of the backboard.
No good.
Got his own rebound up.
And in the second half, you're going to see Jaycee go inside out, more inside than outside to stabbers, to continue to establish their presence.
Lead back up to five.
Kalen Riley, drive an easy finger over to Jaycee, having to work it back down the floor deep inside to Wilkins, looking to get it in off the No there's more he's the line and that's that was a great challenge.
And again, Jaycee Calhoun's making Jaycee earn every basket.
They give a contest every shot.
Ugly basketball is the type of basketball that Calhoun likes to play foul on Darren Wilson.
That'll be his second Wilkins to the free throw line first.
SIMMONS Good.
John Wilkins is doing a great job on the offensive end.
He's scoring baskets his rebound defensively.
It's got to be more of a presence than a contentious.
He's got to block shots be a more complete basketball player dominating both ends of the court two free throws good Wilkins now with 13 jacks 32 little more than a minute gone here in the third quarter boys double championship CAC and fourth title game in the last five years.
Calhoun chasing after their first ever boys or girls championship blocked by Wilkins on the inside And that's the presence we're looking for big guy picking it up bringing it down the floor Boy thinks about the three squares rim no good Kailyn Riley rebound Calhoun back from the Yellowjackets Chandler Curtis Nice pass to flight master for the two.
I see.
That's the tip of the cow who was deep in the basket.
Transition score on the other end.
It looks like they're going to call a foul on KAILYN Riley as Eric Jamison went up.
And if that's on Riley, that's his second.
Both teams are now, John, starting to establish themselves on the defensive end You get a blocking Wilson Wilkins on one end and then defensively in transition Calhoun does a great job of taking away the easy basket and coming back with a foot to this three quarters set by James Stringer and the CC Jamison averaging six points, three rebounds and an assist and a half.
Again, the second free throw is good.
One of three gets the back end leads back up to four 3329 Wilson Kailyn Riley Flash Chandler Curtis disrupted by Wilkins boy coming out with it for gassy It's like he's about to be double teamed in the corner He is but he gets rid of it in time Morrison looking to drive down the middle, kick near corner short back comes Calhoun and all alone is Chandler Curtis This one was easy as they now who has understand what they did John they just run it gassy by extending their pressure, put more pressure on the ball, things that happen for them.
Wilkins nearside Jamison in back out to Morrison to reset Morrison going on Jarrod Wilson inside high off the glass no good fought for picked up by Calhoun Calhoun can tie the game or take the lead with a three Wilson thought about driving runs around a fight master screen top of the key stick to Chandler Curtis that same what Curtis and think about it three guarded by Boyd's back to Wilson he'll reset this self-isolation call the play Wilson guarded by Toni Morrison There's Riley while driving on Wilkins up no good in the whistle and see that's a good basketball and tell his behalf attack him.
Make ten to send you in a more physical way instead of coming from the weak side for the block.
John Now you're making him defend on the ball.
Foul call on Wilkins.
That will be his second.
And as Eddie Wilson as Eddie Martin calls it, timeout.
We're going to take a call a take a timeout with him for 49 to go for the third GSC leading Calhoun 3331.
The championship boys side on the great GPB.
Welcome back making coliseum making center flex for 49 for the third Jax's lead has been cut to two at 3331.

Here come the basketball championships.
A naked man to some degree, Dukie doing Jaylen Riley at the line.
After the drive, Wilkins is called for the foul at second So streetwise good And if I'm Calhoun John again I'm saying precious demure person may play outside of their comfort zone make them handle the ball a lot more.
Third tie the game at 33 came out with 17 USC working offense and the set as Boyd Morrison slips defensively Brody Nelson up high Jamison inside the Wilkins double team triple teamed in the corner six seven fight master on him but he got to the baseline and off the glass He had his great pacers inside with the ball.
Knowing that the track was dead zone.
He held his composure and was able to score outside of the track.
3533 Coming up on the halfway point here in the third quarter.
Long shot by Riley.
Count it.
Those are the shots, John, that sometimes you don't want, but you got to make those and win a championship, especially against the number one team in the state.
Bodies on the floor, they're going to call it jump ball timeout wasn't called in timeout three possession goes to Calhoun and here's your three just a double ball screen up top stares him down with a deep deep three seven in the quarter for Riley as he now has ten and continues to county represent I think that's what the kids say these days this represent representing the citizens that represents represent and a solid team.
Okay I take your word for it so the turnovers right there Calhoun their fifth turnover they're in the corner six by now CAC leading the turnover battle but that's not a matter that they want to be leading in self defense to both sides all the way three, three and a half and under down here at third quarter Calhoun off the Kalyn Riley three leading 3635 inside to six seven.
Yeah he was demanding the ball the entire position John he can get it from the wing take the ball to the high post He reversed pivoting inside that position.
Nice dunk six in the quarter.
He now has 17 3 minutes to go here in the quarter with the drive off the glass short, barely hit.
This is what they enjoy doing off the set clock.
I wonder if he was challenging Dominique.
Sometimes I can do better than you.
How about that?
You think that ever happened?
Well, considering that Dominique got that 61 by 11 wasn't all that to talk about another influence, he goes from 17 to 19 just becoming a force down a little.
But that's the energy that we like.
He's doing great on the offensive end, John, with the two plus he started off the first the second half.
He's now competing his game, which is allowing Jaycee to have a possible two point lead, three three short following Austin Bird to Calhoun, something to keep an eye on.
Bird now with three fouls for the Yellowjackets 3936 Jaycee Calhoun, a back and forth game for ties and a two and a half to go.
And the stage will decide.
The boys champions here, Jaycee chasing after their 50th straight win this season.
They've beaten teams out of the Bahamas, Tennessee, south and North Carolina.
And Vince Larson is going to call a throw to talk it over.
So what do you talk about in this case just to get him to kind of refocus?
If you want to refocus right now, you're down by three points.
You did have a one point lead, John.
You gave it away with a turnover and multiple possession baskets back to back by Wilkins.
But you have to establish yourself and you.
Calhoun John on the defensive end.
You've got to extend pressure and force J.C. to play outside of his comfort zone in the post half court.
Now you allow him to go the inside out, get it down low to the big fella, and he's produced 19 points.
Calhoun has done it for both inside and outside when they challenged inside the paint.
But those opportunities where they've gotten buckets are drawing fouls.
And then also with Taylor Curtis from the outside and Keelan Riley recently to take the lead, Calhoun is showing the capability to do it both ways.
Yeah, they did a great job at that, but still they have to do a better job.
First of all, of protecting the defensive glass and got to rebound gassy 24 to 6 in the boards.
Second chance points huge also for gassy in the game right now.
2 minutes to go here third quarter J.C. up 3936 off the rim no for Austin Byrd as he drove Justin Lewis for the foul That'll be his second and that's the drive he talked about John get to the basket get to the rim Don't depend on your outside shooting to actually be a presence in this game.
The catch on those free throws good Just .67 I see Cavaliers picking up now extending more out inside the three point line trying to put more pressure he on Jackie Wilson one more Nelson looking to drive double teamed third had him down low picked up Boyd off the rim doesn't get the bounce tip no good fight Nance to the rebound side to out almost affected by rookie shouting instructions on the offensive end and some encouragement as Jessie heads back down the field of play defense 19 seconds to go in the third Calhoun only down one Taylor Curtis on boy that's the second 5 seconds is that the right move one was moving and explaining to Charlie Curtis that was up there it's only six He's thought about driving 51 and J.C. working the perimeter with the rookies working side.
Nice post up.
Trying to be a presence.
One ball down low down the reaching by Jarrett Wilson as Wilkins was going by and you kind of see what he's doing for perimeter Wilkins inside trying to get Wilkins lost in traffic with all of the defenders in the paint.
Yeah.
And there's a reason why many consider Coach Martin.
I would say on the modern day Mount Rushmore of high school basketball here at State of Georgia, because he does know what he's doing this both free throws Rebound Covington up no good Wilkins tries to tip no no third chance there Austin Byrd the rebound Calhoun with the opportunity to take the lead under a minute to go in the third yeah Calhoun has a lot of fight but now let's get the movement going with the offense.
He can't pick up another unforced turnover.
Randall guarded by Morrison working the perimeter of the third row by Justin Lewis not back it out for it on Chandler Curtis Drive Teardrop no fight master the rebound Lost it out of bounds Made it You see how he's up there Wow that was a great job on him pursuing the offensive rebound.
Just missed control of the ball out of bounds under 30 seconds now Zach can try to expand their lead and this basketball game has been a grind and say this is not look at who won it They wanted the last shot dismissed it a up Justin Lewis jumper high off the glass No Wilkins tried to square Covington with the two after the rebound there That's big under 10 seconds Calhoun's got to try to do something quickly if they're going to try to get a shot off but they get it off under three.
Off the glass.
No feeling, Riley And we have a foul and we have a foul with no time on the clock.
Riley got the rebound, threw it up.
The question is, was it on the rebound or the shot looked like it was more of a tip, Matt So you might want to give him the shot attempt then they have a two free throws.
All right.
Let's take a look.
Ooh, that's close.
Yeah, it's great.
Offensive awareness there.
Jalen Riley to the line and Calhoun's going to get the last points of the third quarter.
Riley finishes the quarter with 12.
They put 3/10 back on the clock just to give it something to do and that'll do it.
The long three attempt touchdown pass.
No good failing Riley at nine points in the quarter for Calhoun and they are only down one as Jaycee chases perfection in the boys championship fourth quarter.
When we come back on the great GPB just got.
Welcome back close game here at Macon Coliseum 41 GHC 40 Calhoun Guys, we talked to Coach Wilson earlier this week and we talked about the game plan.
And one of the very things that pointed out to us was the fact that he wants to keep teams to 55 points and under, and that's their magic number.
If they can keep them under 55, then they can win the ballgame.
So it would be interesting to see what happens and plays out here in the fourth quarter.
Back over to you, John and Sean, thank you very much, Raven.
And they are on pace to hold them to 55.
So Calhoun's mission is to drive 5514 in the first full team in the second held Jaycee with 13 in the third.
Yeah, and we talk again, talk about Ugly Betty.
She's in the building showcasing her style because this is not a good, clean style of basketball.
Jackie's accustomed to John and they having to fight for everything.
No rhythm at all.
None.
No rhythm at all.
Start of the final 8 minutes here to determine the boys champion chasing perfection.
National ranked anywhere from 7 to 12 depending on the pole defense inside easy to last a nice penetration getting the ball inside how to jump hoops in the middle.
Jessie's lead back to three 4340 Tough man defense by GHC coming out here in the fourth quarter big pick is Kailyn Lowry trying to go by but that's a football plays a third standard Curtis a game for three that's a huge three Now you tie the game up to a3i think we got some special going here John Calhoun had to get back defensively Boyd looking to drive kicks it back to Troy Morrison suggesting Lewis thinking about it You're going after it The perimeter as the defense catches up.
Nelson directing Boyd down to swap out Derrick Covington.
Wilkins elbow Got it.
Good players dominate most possessions back to back Gable is getting his man He scored his back to the basket with the jump hook and a soft jump shot at the 15 foot mark Wilkins with 23 now for GHC of their 45 losses leading to Boston Byrd, remember, Byrd has three fouls as he did in the basketball game against Justin Lewis.
Looks for the drive off the glass doesn't get the wall fight master this time as John Wilkins comes down with it for gassy, he'll work the floor long past the corner two Covington walks baseline fight Master stops in there.
Wilkins thinks about it Get the point kick back out to Morrison.
He'll set up Tobias in the free throw line boy for three rim No no rebound and the foul by Covington on the rebound as everyone's trying to clear out and look back down the floor even though it looked like a good shot on boy's behalf the last four possessions John the ball has gone inside.
And when the ball is gone inside with Wilkins, I would say 90% of the time, John, he scored.
So you've got to understand the game thing.
Get the ball, work inside out for Wilkins, even if he's going to take you 30 seconds and more out the clock, you still have to continue to establish his presence down low.
Tyler Hamilton Tony White for gassy in can Boyd will sit Boyd for five in the game from 3.0 knocked out of bounds for Morrison from behind as Chandler Curtis was trying to drive in 4 to 545 to go regulation in Calhoun down only to set careless throws right here I'm thinking you call a timeout to set up the defense does he allowing J.C. to play in a comfortable mode but they can get the ball in underneath out of bounds Austin Byrd was calling for it up by half court Kalen Riley didn't see it.
Calhoun will think about it.
Something else coming up here on GPB, we talk about our local programing and original programing.
Georgia Tech whiz kid teamed up to compete for cash in the US Pageant of the 2014 Adventure Prize over on North Avenue.
Tune in to GPB.

The Inventor Prize Wednesday March 26 at 730 right here on GPB.
Joe, what would you invent if you win that contest?
Three you have to think about that one.
It's a good thing, right?
That's a perpetual campaign machine.
nice.
Considering how much caffeine you and I take in during a weekend, something akin to a caffeine.
I've got a work five and a half to go.
Regulation calories Setting up offense KAILYN Riley, guarded by Troy Morrison way up high looking to go around the fight master screen.
Wilkins came in to help to try pick the ball and come the other way.
It looks like a foul on Morrison on the drive by.
But here's the strategy.
John can move what they're doing.
They're taking rookies away from the basket with their high ball screen.
You can get the ball to one of your better off the offensive teammates on the wing.
That's a clear path to the basket because you have his presence downloads blocked a shot foul Morrison is his third something to pay attention to for GHC.
As we go a little further and jumper short long rebound Byrd can get there trying to save it as a Calhoun's possession and the throw down didn't quite work for Jared in back his top of the key jumper rim no Wilkins easy to get it's a one man show now for Jack John he's doing it on offensive rebounding defensively here now he's the energy guy he's missed the basketball for this GSC team Wilkins has 25 but Jay she's 37 margin back up to four so 40 and counting regulation Riley looking to drive on Calhoun Make does but have a shot kicked it back out to Chandler Curtis Curtis guarded by Tyler Hamilton Curtis launches a three rim no Jack has it they can take the lead to six if they catch transition in a hurry.
Nice dish John Covington No fight Master Rebound Calhoun Back from the Yellowjackets corner Curtis three rim Riley off glass fouled by Wilkins nicely That's great on Calhoun's behalf John because the tempo was good in they're back they extended the defense just a little bit but more important they force the transition and basketball and was able to get in the offensive rebound position and also a foul on Wilkins.
So that's number three for Wilkins all over the line.
Again, this is the first let's take a look on the inside.
They're getting to miss a deep three which is great.
You did a cleaning up with the offensive rebound with this pick it up this third, second free throw.
Got it.
And looks like Coach Langston is going to call a full time out here to talk things over, which is what you talked about this weekend coming off of they made free throws, set your defense and everything squared away because we're at 4 minutes to go here in regulation.
Here's a look at the foul trouble situation.
Yeah.
So they're good with 4 minutes and change to go down here in the game so it's more about defense and rebounding if you Calhoun GSE him on the hand you want to protect basketball you want to make wise decisions continue to go inside to the big fella down low and you got three fouls one on the outside, one third on the inside Wilkins has had a mean third quarter Yeah just elevate with the jump hook 15 feet out and nice soft touch love that And here he is again just being there for the tip in down low and that's to give defenders a smoochy face when they're trying to go up against that six seven in the in the quarter breakdown six in the first five in the second eight and third so far, six in the fourth quarter to total 25/4 quarter field goals, although we'll try not to give away any state secrets there for Calhoun.
Calhoun, one of five from the floor in the fourth Jack, three of six.
And John, one of the things I knows about Wilkins, he's not an explosive player.
He's not going to beat you for 12 and one quarter, 15 to 1 quarter, but he's going to score it as a balanced attack.
And his balanced attack kind of loves to sleep at times kind of the way he plays, because there's not a guy that actually exerts a lot of energy out here on the court or even Toronto on the other side of the floor.
What's up, guys?
I was right behind the Calhoun bench and listening to their game plan, Coach Jason said, We got to get a stop right here.
It's a one possession ballgame.
Make you box out.
You'll see some a lot of screens down.
And then when they get the ball, they said it's very important to make sure they can score and stop.
JFC But that doesn't look good right there.
Back Over to you, John.
John, thank you.
Raven Wilkins now with 27 and the lead is now five 4934 two possession game Calhoun in no need to launch threes quickly as a first shot opportunity Just attack the rim attack the rim and get it rejected by Wilkins as you come by this good John he's from the weak side but anytime you can attack the rim you put pressure on his defense and they may make mistakes.
Listen for block on the night for Wilkins baskets on the baseline cuts it back to three at 3946 Lawson looking to drive kick to Tyler Hamilton and bring it back out to Justin Lewis who will reset things inside the Wilkins double team needs to come now get the ball out of his hands.
He scored the ball, John, Every time he's tested here in the fourth quarter, NBA Jam was going.
We'd say he's on fire.
He's got 2910 in the quarter.
He's got a baby on the road.
And we're thinking about dinner now, 250 in regulation, telling Riley they're going to call play on their lead of five, give it to the hot hand at the elbow inside.
That's going to be a chance of going to college.
Chargemaster again.
Yeah, Great defense.
Great defense.
You hear from the crowd, they're not liking it.
But that was fantastic defense there from Calhoun just being in the right position, holding his ground, taking it to Tyler Hamilton, picking up his second foul.
They're two and a half to go regulation still five point gassy Calhoun and chase after to take their time do things methodically still plenty of time to run Curtis inside third double team knocked away fight master can't come up with it ball knock out of bounds is that is that on 21 we have number four we have number 44 on the road team and see now that is great for you Calhoun because you attack you can attack more now and he is not going to be aggressive on the defensive end.
So there's a subplot with 216 to go and four free throws missed by Austin Byrd 29 of 51 comes from the hand of Isaiah Wilkins picks up his fourth foul he makes this you've got to call a timeout with such a difference made so now you can allow Jesse to go around John and use it so much time you got to put pressure on the ball and they do so much at the time.
Outside by Gassy as Jarrod Wilson was playing tough defense.
Troy Morrison is going to be a fall for any and see the high school championships here in basketball now everybody says it's their fourth season.
It's not summer, fall, winter and spring.
It's spring football, National Signing Day recruiting and Football Fridays in Georgia, Season four around the corner bigger and better high school football games around the state right into your living room.

Football Fridays in Georgia and the all access pass 3 hours plus live high school football season four coming up in August.
Before you know it on the great GPB in the state of Georgia, John just moved up in the ranks.
They were ranked fourth in the nation in recruiting for football and they've moved up to number three.
Well, let's see.
It's always Georgia, Florida, Ohio, Texas, California.
Fighting it out.
Yes.
And the state of Georgia has produced the third most NFL prospects than any other state outside of Florida and California.
So this shows that the state of Georgia is definitely taking it to another level.
And it's fun to do it here on GPB.
It's also fun to be here is part of Making Madness 210 to go regulation and go ahead and say it.
Jesse Leading 5147 Wilkins on the day 13 of 17 from the floor, five for five in the quarter on the elbow and fake on Fight master didn't quite take it back out to fake Messer has to front the post and deny him the ball like that.
It attack attack attack Chandler Curtis missed the reverse coming up on 100 seconds Calhoun's going to have to start over on defense.
Morrison, guarded by Wilson.
It's up the foul on Chandler Curtis his second in the football season.
You got all these football players playing for Calhoun Hey shoulder tackle Hey it's contact sport.
It is a contact sport.
Well, football is a collision sport.
Under 90 seconds to go.
Regulation five team fouls for Calhoun, eight on GRC.
Sooner or later they have to foul Wilkins You're at the back of the rim too much Jaylen Riley coming down three on two if he wants it drives into the paint trying to draw the fifth They're going to foul inside Wow what a bailout call that was a blessing move to the basket That was a smart decision Jon Hamm goes to half don't know if that was a chance he was already falling back to.
Yeah, the deficit bailed him out.
They want rookies to leave the game with five fast.
Instead, it's Riley's third and a foul on third, which will be his fourth.
So Byrd with Calhoun, 22, Black, has four, Wilkins 21, and White has four.
And we're down to a minute five in regulation and a four point game.
He's going to talk about it again with another fourth time.
Tony, as he.
CALHOUN John has to figure out who they want to foul as one gets one and one right now.
So they've got to figure out who they want to foul good at the free throw line so they can possibly get a chance to go down and score.
It's about fouling now so you get possession ball offensive.
there's your number four Calhoun bird picking up his fourth no well blue Wilson Kalen Riley each with three Jesse Wilkins just picked up his fourth James morrison three.
So you have your point guard with three.
Excuse me in the fourth and there you go.
So you're still anticipating Calhoun to drive, drive, drive and try to pick up that face on Wilkins.
Well, this fence, well, it's about this drive and and get the easy basket or a higher percentage shot, not necessarily taking it open three because you have to send his shot on to call a timeout.
There's still time to press this deal.
More basketball in this game.
But Tom Calhoun from the floor, one of their last eight, just three of their last five, Justin Lewis, to go to the line for GMC to try to make this a six point game.
Willis averaging 7.6 rebounds a game six free throws good putting the Kentucky on a baseball scholarship as a pitcher that six nine wingspan of his Let's see if he can throw one right down the middle here for a strike but Jay Z up to six long fight master and Byrd with the rebound two possession games were under a minute.
Wilson and Riley give and go loses control of it.
Who's got it inside fight master fighting with it Jump ball stays with Calhoun Tyler Hamilton involved the key fight master alternate possession call that was a great offensive call with the weave time somebody has got to attack that rim quicker and more effectively Riley inbounds quickly working it around the perimeter back to Riley squares for a three got timeout there we go score time out two point game John look for the price to come two point game at 42.2 for regulation Here's another look at it Riley coming off that screen really quick Great elevation nice stroke Jaylen Riley now with 16 no bigger three than that right there But you still John now here's here's here's a set up for you Jones a two point game with 42.2 to go you don't foul initially in the fourth quarter you want to try to get the trap utilizes 10 seconds possible here defensively and when the ball crosses over half court now you have to have someone you need to foul and talk about the game.
That's Taylor Riley's head for Calhoun.
He only had three in the first half.
He's had 13 in the second.
You see Eddie Martin there.
There's Vince Larson, 31 years old, second year as the full time head coach and so on.
There he just said attack.
I said, Vince, listen, you saw him say right there, attack.
Here's what's going to happen again.
The full court press is on.
You can't find the first 10 seconds.
I'm going to turn over, get the ball to the half court.
But that ball's on the floor.
There's a loose ball.
Look for Calhoun to attack it and gain possession of the ball.
Alternate possession would give it to ABC.
So we'll try to wrap up one more.
Wilkins two inbound tough defense Boyd in the game and a foul by fight master holding his second as cowboy was driving past Campbell the was basket thinking about his body but Cam Boyd to the line eight fouls aside Calhoun and see Boyd's free throw Got it three point game with 38 and a half Derek Covington in Derek Covington out Eric Jamison trying to hang with Jared Wilson to get some state secrets as he went over to see Coach Lacy and what they were talking about second free throw Got it and see what count with Jack he's going instead of using the timeouts this setting the defense so they can keep everything under control.
Tyler Hamilton back in as Boyd takes his seat 38.5 So point game down and can get it to here still a two possession game they're going to launch the three got it the foul quick foul.
They got the quick foul it was Chandler Curtis and it'll be his third zero Wilson with the three to cut it to 5554 And here's the rev on display square and fire here's another look who stepped into it Nice arc on his shot.
Good rotation, good follow through this case from Calhoun John Payne with a lot of heart and a lot of desire Sean Morrison to the line averages eight and a half as five first free throw got it Look put Jesse on the make zone to call a timeout to set the defense and talk strategy.
There it is.
Andy Martin takes a 30 besides go to a full I'm looking for a 2 to 1 press a soft 2 to 1 press John to force them to use the clock and to switch all ball screens three times a game.
A two is still a one point game, so I'll give up the drive to the basket with the in the process of contesting the three point jack 80% from the free throw line this quarter down to four.
So if you're Calhoun whose hands do you put it in is there talking strategy You see Eddie Martin there on the left installation on the right will tell what you want right now.
You want Raleigh on the wing, maybe the same action if he can get the three.
But you also want to be able to drive to the basket as well, too, because it's still a two possession game If you if you missed the three, they get the rebound that becomes a five point game because he's hitting free throws.
Attack the rim, get an open shot.
If the two is there, take it wide out hoping for a positive result.
They're looking for the lead to stay sees go back to back state chances Caitlin Riley had a hot second half to lead the Yellowjackets with 16 Curtis with 14.
They've been hitting from the outside while he's been hot.
Jaycee goes for 11 from three in the game.
Coming up on 20 seconds.
Quick turn it around six three Riley out of control and call block on Tyler Hamilton.
That'll be Hamilton's third Kalen Riley go to the line Opportunity to get points with a stop clock.
That's beautiful That's perfect on Calhoun's behalf.
And now coach can do some substitutions right now.
Don't don't call it timeout on the free throw.
Get a substitution up there so you can set your defense safety first.
Good.
Down to two.
Right now with 17 second free throw good as well because Martin helped out Calhoun.
They didn't have the defense set.
Well, they're going offense and defense now putting his best free throw shooters in the game Covington in Jamison out Boyd in Covington out Wilkins looking for an inbound Calhoun trying to look for a foul Don't get the foul gassy the easy to Jones set a three point game They need it three they've been hot from three walks off the back of the backboard No good times going to expire Jesse back to back right good game they talk about the postseason being survive and advance gassy survived today gassy survived the presence of ugly Betty but I did like what the team did John.
They didn't lose their compulsion and they hit their free throws.
The winning streak is now at 50, dating back to last season.

No, Cowherd played a great job.
They did a great job tonight on us tonight.
But these guys right here, they've been resilient all year long.
They knew going in they had a big target on their back, but they just kind of grinned about that and just kept plugging away and plugging away and just found a way to win tonight just to cap off an unbelievable season.
Well, congratulations, Mike.
