Welcome back to the mega coliseum.
Welcome back to the GSA Boys and Girls Basketball championship, live throughout the state on the great GPB.
We are getting ready for the tip off of our fourth game of the day, the DHS, a three day boys state championship game between the defending champs in Morgan County and their outstanding player in Tookey Brown and the talented warriors of Jenkins High School.
But now let's send it over to two of my favorite fellas calling this game and Gil Tyree and Sam Crenshaw for what to expect brought to you by Regents Bank fellows.
Nikki Noto, it's always great to see you and welcome to the GPB live palooza hoops palooza here.
And middle Georgia, Gil Tyree, along with my buddy, my partner in crime.
So glad.
So many times we've been wanting to do this.
We get an opportunity today.
Sam Crenshaw, how you doing?
Doing great.
Great to be with you.
Great to have you here.
Ready to be working together.
We've talked about doing this for a long time, and we got a real treat, you and I, working together.
But the treat the fans are going to get to see in this game coming up.
I talk about these two teams and of course, you know, Nikki just talked about Tookie Brown and of course, he's headed to Mississippi State.
We'll play for Rick Ray.
But we got some other star power in this game today.
We really do.
Some other players you want to think about, especially we got a guy like Malik in leaving on the other side playing for Jenkins outstanding player.
He's bound for Georgia State next year to play for Ron Utter there, so they got a lot of talent.
Thing is, can they contain?
Mr. Brown We've seen what he's done even in the most recent game.
I think he scored 32 of his 37 points in the second half.
So we know how explosive he can be.
And of course, Morgan County, Sam will try to get to the back to back thing.
And, you know, last year they had the fine center, C.J.
Turman, who went down with Florida Atlantic and joined his former high school coach, Charmaine Gibbons.
But in the meantime, this team has a mission.
They're on a goal right now.
They really are on the go back to back will be rare for a class three eight last time we saw it, obviously with you, were the Columbia Heights confused when they were able to do it.
So they're chasing some history here tonight and this place is packed to the rafters.
I'll tell you, we are going to have a dynamite basketball game.
The Warriors and the Bulldogs, Morgan County and Jenkins.
It's going to be great.
Gilt, Tyree, same Crenshaw.
Now back to Nikki Noto and my man, Marky Mark.
Mark Harmon.
It's all yours.
All right.
Thanks very much, Gil.
Time now to check out the Georgia EMC scoreboard.
We've crowned three state champs so far.
We got three more to go early on.
The single-A private School Girls championship goes to Saint Francis on a buzzer beater, 4745.
And then the Saint Francis boys make it a daily double winning the boy girl combination beating Green Forge Christian 96 to 81.
All right and for the girls three a lady Wildcats that we just saw man they really defeated the Bulldogs 7255 And now it's time to check in with Grace Olson.
I hear she's hanging out with some really crazy and fired up fans.
Grace and her brother, you're hearing.
All right.
Okay, these guys are fired up.
They've been talking to me all week long on Twitter.
And then this is a group of the Morgan County Bulldogs.
I got a lot of seniors behind me, which means that these guys were here last year for the state title win, the school's first state title win ever.
What's it like to be back and be a part of this amazing experience yet again?
And it is truly amazing.
It's for a student section to be here back to back.
It's just an awesome, awesome experience.
But these guys play their heart out and they deserve it and luckily we get to cheer them on.
Well, you guys became known statewide, I think, last year for all of your dunking by that star tookey Brown.
So they're telling me they're going to see that.
We're going to see that again in today's game.
So, guys, let me hear for the Bulldogs one more time before I send it back up to the set.
Ready, Go O sign here on the statement.
Mark and Nikki, it's all yours.
All right.
They got the thunder sticks going.
They got the thunder sticks going.
They're ready to try to win back to back.
Coming up, it's the boys three eight state champion between the defending champion Morgan County ball guards and Jenkins High School.
That's right.
And Gil Tyree and Sam Crenshaw, they'll be doing the play by play coming up live right here on GPB.

Come inside.
They make him center flex here in the heart of middle Georgia, where today we see the triple-A state championship for the boys, the Morgan County Bulldogs from Region eight and the Jenkins Warriors from Region one.
You see the numbers on your screen.
We say good afternoon, late afternoon or early evening, wherever you may be in the great state of Georgia.
Gil Tyree, along with my partner in crime, Sam Crenshaw.
And Sam, we got a game here today.
We have where the game I mean, we got to the final day of this big championship.
The place is packed.
There's an electric atmosphere as the great players get ready to put on a great show for us and his family.
And of course, these two teams, one is chasing history with Morgan County, trying to make it two in a row.
JENKINS No shabby.
They come down in terms of classification and they're trying to do something special here today to try to do something very special.
28 and three is their record.
And they've also had a very impressive schedule.
And from outside of the state classification teams like MLK and North Cobb Christian, they have wins over.
They have a very impressive resume and of course, they're trying to represent Savannah in south Georgia, you call it at the bottom of the state and give them yet another championship.
We remember a couple of years ago Johnson came in here.
Right.
And were able to get the job done.
And they would like to duplicate what the the Adams Chasers did a few years ago.
You take a look at the atmosphere here and a lot of the people have come up from Savannah and also the Morgan County is represented by that man Brown.
There he is, Tookey Brown.
And you know, his resumé, you know what he's done about the Mississippi state average, 28.7 points per game.
Everything runs through him.
He's the guy that makes it happen a lot more good.
DOUGHTY And a guy who committed to Mississippi State and held on committed as a junior.
Sam and stayed with it because he was able to showcase a lot of talent.
A lot of people thought he would flip.
But Rick Ray and his staff have recruited him.
Well, he's locked and loaded.
Getting ready to go to start will start Vegas bound.
Missouri added play at the Hub.
On the other side, Malik Ben Leavy is the guy you want to watch for.
JENKINS There you see his numbers, 16.7 points and seven rebounds per game Region player of the year.
And he is bound for downtown Atlanta and a Rod Hunter at Georgia State.
Take a look at, of course, they're wearing an honor of one of their teammates.
They are the winner of shooting Jersey with the number four in the back.
They head on doing a warmups.
You see it now, last time span with shots.
Being a teammate who played on this team in 2012 passed away to honor him today.
There you see their way.
The number four on their warm up jersey.
Let's go over to our third member, the best looking of all of us here today.
By far By far, No doubt.
Grace Olson, how are you doing, Gail?
It's good to have you back here with us as always.
The fact that Morgan County has returned to the state finals after winning their first ever state championship is a well-known fact at this point.
But what comes with that two sets is the pressure to maintain it.
New Bulldogs head coach Jameson Simms told us this week that it actually has been quite an uphill battle this season as these guys have paved their way back to making, he told us with the players don't only feel burdened by their own pressure, but they also feel burdened by the pressure of the community surrounding them.
Coach Simms said that a lot of those Bulldogs supporters don't quite don't fully realize how keen the senior leadership was on last year's team.
And they return this year with seven losses on their schedule and the losses of a lot of those seniors to graduation.
One of those seniors was Center C.J.
Hermann that went to join former Bulldogs head coach Charlemagne Givens at Florida Atlantic University.
But the Bulldogs are back here again, led behind the led by the offensive firepower of TCU, Brown and Jalen Ingram.
So we'll see if that talent combined with that bulldog tenacity can earn them back to back Trojans guys.
All great.
Thank you.
And of course you got a shot of Jamon Brown there.
You take a look at his counterpart for Corey Bryant with Jenkins.
Tell us a little bit about McCoy.
Bradford Of course, it's hard playing for Coach therapy to get through every year with him.
Of course, they ran up against Miller Grove the end of the season last year, 28 wins.
28 is where they are now and they want to get that 29th.
They get that.
Of course, that means they get a title, they get a trophy in a ring to get things started.
All right.
We said the starting lineup here today.
First, the Warriors object in saying that.
You see Silverado, but starting there, Brian Jamari, Brian, Derrick Johnson, I thought the point guard and you talked about leaving earlier and Trevor Lamar, there are six five power forward and a reason starters for Morgan County there's the man right away to key Brown there he goes deep he is Brown Reed Rogers and Ingram we heard about him before we get started Reed is one of the teams here the day five foot nine and get a look at Trinity Brown look that's my million dollars No starting lineups but to buy the throws averaging five we're about ready to tip it up here and make it listen to this crowd here this afternoon The tip control by the orders of Jacob, they're wearing white Morgan County in dark blue.
They're taken down by Sam's man to be brown.
Think he advances the ball?
The front court and driving with the missed tackle.
Little good was Al Reed loses the handle there to let the ball go out of bounds.
Roy Brown just lost his grip on the ball.
Opportunity went off his leg through the back court and that's a turnover early on here Amazing shot Mills over rebound take it out by the Warriors in the person of Joseph Rodgers It could be down brown brown Wow it's a glorious wow factor to keep my body up on him is demarai gray ball stolen away and he goes the other way.
That's Jacob and that's that ball so that the well on the bus stop and the lay it up and in and good number 15 for Morgan County General Ingram six foot six and very athletic Sam can also play football as well and is doing a great job at the music out to show of what you're going to see the getting up and down the floor this Raiders game he's going to go to nothing Morgan County but we're right in the middle spotting up in the rebound and the miss by three down Lamar the rebound taken down by Timothy Brown the Warriors Brown platitudes ball put the way down on the floor Nice hand it's through by Gentry Bryant Brown got it over to several out of spot up and the miss tap up no good still with it no good and out of bounds and the ball will go to Morgan County Jenkins over four from the field now all for seven within that effort.
Look at that effort right there.
Number four dribble required to knock that ball elusive goofy brown.
He's going to give you a test.
He's going to take that today.
Wow And that's Joseph Rodgers now to toothy out but to the other Brown to the baseline spinning great passing three no good taken by Jalen Ingram the miss and control by the defense basketball team that was going to knock it down this way they get on the scoreboard the Warriors 28 and three in region one here Bryant showing he's going to be one of the guys to make a difference He's not the ball's beat that we make the big shot outside on the offensive end Jeffrey Brown in trouble bails out gives it over to Reed Brown to let it fly and he was now over.
And I think he'll go to the line Sam for three.
But you can't exactly hope to pick Brown.
He's not a secret.
Everybody knows what he's going to do.
And I'm sure he's getting this all season long.
He's going to get the eight games.
But the toughest defender from the opposition every time foul on Johnson.
His first the first one made by two Blount That'll make it all tied up at three for 41 here in the first period of making second one is good and he'll get another brown eyes it puts it down oh three, five, three.
Now Morgan County, the defending champions out in front of Jenkins token impression, the Warriors able to break it and the ball put up on the rim But for the rebound taken by Morgan County they're going the other way they got numbers at 30 with Jalen Ingram off the ball all the way up the floor and right back right back to court.
The problem is Johnson But you saw the ability Sam up to keep Brown off the bounce Yep to go right in and to make it take a look at this boy Cookie Brown with number seven three the champs out in front will be back and make Macon after these very important messages on the great JP big industry is a relationship business.
I try to be out in a community you know as much as I possibly can with local agents in the community.
We're part of the community.
I love doing business in the town that I live in.
My clients are my friends.
They can just step in my office and say hello.
That's very important to me.
We want to be available to them in case they need us.
You get a lot of reward personally going home at night knowing that you've taken care of folks.
Morgan County up by four here in the first quarter.
We had a chance to go inside both locker rooms with our film scanner, and we found out that their contrast in styles.
Let's listen in.
Whether or not you in the dog uniform or the white uniforms just came out of the UW mouth.
Like what, Jerry, you said you champions.
Don't wait for it to come to champions.
Go get it.
You understand?
Champions go get it.
And my will be how to beat lady.
And they got to play us.
That's not our fault, you understand?
Because anybody that we are, I go get what what is punished and what we kind of got to get punished for that.
We're going to do what we're going to give one of it's going to go for a good one a little bit and, you know, do it one more time.
I am going to do that.
But we will be delighted.
Yeah, got to love it.
You ready to play after that?
Most definitely are ready to play the madly tired but car right fired up his team that's that's what you call the way folks the locker room ways I'm telling you look at this crowd it is SRO here at make good folks from stats the pass out to your courtesy of Kevin Barnes is a statistician here this afternoon turnovers too for both these teams and shooting percentages 2 to 4 for Morgan County Jenkins struggling right now one of 94473.
Morgan County out in front a Tory and Crenshaw.
Glad to have you with us from little Georgia on the great GPB today.
Over on the right side that's brown garage penetration ball it's going away it's a hand up and so I told guys everybody right yep if you can handle Silverado with the steal and controlling it right now is Eric Johnson he's going to launch a three year challenge that was an NBA free sample yet was never what 763 22 to go off the bounce and the foul looking that right there young man Jalen Ingram on the follow in the right place at the right time There you go it's Jenkins wearing white today Morgan County in black somebody took a tumble hurt his head on the floor a ball fought for that was tricky on Lamar.
We hope he's okay He's got a way to close the deal down.
Yes.
I'll take the hit.
His handler.
If he got hit in the head out, it looked like he got it.
Looked like he could not break his false in came down hard on the back of his head.
And you see the take a look at the end.
Describe what we're seeing.
So.
All right.
You see he goes one for the loose ball.
It's falling backwards and can't break his fault.
But I think he gets kicked in the head while he's down there.
A lot of a lot of feet there.
And he took a good kick to the head.
Looked like Ben Levy accidentally kicked him in the head because they were scrambling for the basketball and he's helped up the floor and he gets a nice round of applause.
And you want to see the dunk right here.
Took the out of control right there to clean up and knocked down a follow was the voice Brown right there following along what do they call that Sam the trail he was trail a perfect trail right there.
Morgan County currently on a93 run and Logan County and matchup zone with a man, a man trapped right now, but able to get it out with a rose and the ball knocked out of bounds off of the Morgan County player, Chris Olson.
All right.
I listened to coach during that last time out on the Morgan County side and coach was really emphasizing to the guys, he said, okay, you got the the jitters out and say it's good.
You need the game.
The jitters are gone.
He was really telling them to focus on their rebounding.
So it's all about boxing up and continuing to pile on that defensive pressure.
Guys, thank you Grace But Silverado to the rock slides and flowers in the Rough is a good start for the offensive line.
That may be true.
Is that 217?
Well, at first the first is would take another look He's driving in.
Roger Sullivan held his ground that was round takes the charge Morgan County with the basketball thinking that got a little happy.
Here you go.
I will step in there.
Got it.
Wilson, going back the other way, five turnovers now for Morgan County.
11 to 6 is over.
2 minutes to go here in the fourth quarter.
What a day we've had for basketball here and make it our annual sojourn and in can say yes yes three champions already Well today Brown celebrates a steal He can give us a lesson film that could Cookie Brown the 713 to 6 man that's what you call play in the passing lane guessing it just right Anticipation is what makes him special and Sam says that's what you've got to look forward to if you're fully going to start Vegas trapped inside his Johnson on the way and letting loose and knocking it down the quarterback is was Dimitri Chambers All right Sam taking us take another look at what's the anticipation the eyes the hands and he knows how to finish.
Yes, he does what he had a dunk last year in this building.
It was one of the most unbelievable dunks ever to see the run.
What's new?
Gordon got the crowd to its feet, to it, 13 to 9.
Morgan County, which a basketball bounce pass on the left side slithering his way Dudley and one plus the glorious crab nice body control rise in the chamber sorry Sam take another look drive again gets the contact still manages to get it up and in was able to initiate the contact and will be able to complete the and one and it might get a 15 nine Morgan County lead up by six the free throw Miss ball fought for knocked out of bounds and will be retained by Morgan Kelly Morgan County coached by Jermaine Sims came over from Llewellyn Llewellyn and it's been able to replace Charlemagne Givens who went down to Florida Atlantic City.
They haven't missed a beat.
That's Brown again in the late bound Clipper runner and gets the bounce 17 to 9 the lead now eight, the biggest so far in the first quarter under a minute to go and losing the ball out of bounds was Dimitri Chambers.
The Morgan County will get it and they will inbound it in the person of our the two Tookie Brown looking at the clock.
You see it on the right hand of your screen.
33 seconds to go.
Wow.
Working against Jamari Bryant looks like one of these old clear out saying yep he still going at it Brian off the bounce penetration nice miss tap Jalen Ingram 7 seconds to go the lead at 1099 Morgan County darts in a 3 hours at the buzzer to spread not the way take this one to finish this quarter and a chance to get a shot didn't even draw iron on that slide Morgan County in the midst of a 12 three run you see coach Brian his counterpart Jamon Sims and the dunk above the rim.
Oh, you're all at the end of one and make him the defending champs lead by ten this program on Gp-b is made possible in part by supporters of the Georgia High School Association, including the following.

Historic Banning Mills and the Screaming Eagles Zip line Canopy tour is just 45 minutes west of Atlanta.
Adventure Treks Lodging and Retreat Center now with two Guinness World Records information at historic Banning Mills dot com starting start in second here and Macon and of course the lovely lovely cheerleaders coming up here from Jenkins and a lot of their family down in Savannah looking at on right now Morgan County up by ten our kids today's keys to the game give hope for Duke you take over that's what worked for them last year and get this big crowd involved.
They've been here since the first game this one and waiting for this game to take place.
So far, Sam Crenshaw's been on the money in terms of Morgan County because you call it out.
And then for Jenkins, Jenkins gives his time to, if you can and then going coastal sports teams from the coast representing very strongly we just saw the Beach girls play before this last night the Brunswick boys won a championship class five eight and see if Jenkins can bring another win back to the coast and our kids brought to you by t CSG.
Learn more, earn more.
Here's Tookie though he declares that that kid has and then you see him telegraphing the steal of the dunk in your living room.
He is an outstanding talent.
You take a look at his Cavs to see him.
I mean, this kid is built.
I think we're in a separate not to mention our referees here this afternoon this evening Darnell Lane Tim Paul and Allen at the turnover for Morgan County it'll go over to Jenkins it's early on your second three of the last five by the way from the from the ball and Morgan seven in the last year thank you Sam Crenshaw the Warriors trailing by ten and trying to get something going on knocking down and taking a shot from three was Ben Levy and a rebound taken down by Morgan County to key tied up goes over to the seven Reynolds and drive in the lane and throwing up a player and didn't go was the voice Brown Johnson whether the points of contact still with it the bounce pass nice silicone finish that's been rising and that's what you've got to look for going to Georgia State 19 to 11, the lead down under double digits has been ten.
The biggest lead today by Morgan County.
That's brown off the dribble and turned it for England.
Well, put it away They're up and down.
They had it on the bust out saying it really did.
They really did.
Take another look here.
We talked about the living room conference, the nice finish not to do it.
He's one of the guys to watch today.
Yes.
It's not him by the Silverado stolen away by brown up and and fouled before he went up they get Jimmy Bryant with senior on the foul his first Grace Olsen All right thanks guys listening to coach Bryant in the last time out over on the jink inside he was obviously really emphasizing defense.
The points have been piled on them recently.
It was 1909 going into that timeout.
He was emphasizing when they're taking their shots, he said, put your hands up.
Don't just lay back and watch.
He said, those are way too easy.
And then an assistant coach added in, quote, When he gets the ball and penetrates, we can't stop him.
So don't let his hand touch the ball.
Obviously talking about to keep brown.
So emphasizing all defense over on the kid side of the court guys Grace thank you.
21 to 11, the lead back to ten that's biggest lead of the day and the ball almost stolen away.
But we have a foul and it looks like they got Jalen Ingram down but set the line up for now for Morgan County I see Toothy brown Reynolds Ingram Rodgers and Devery as friends stopping and popping in the miss going up and get the rebound and Silverado strong off the glass and up and in 21 to 13 the lead down to eight to Brown guarded by Bryant as he crossed the timeline gets over to Brown off the bounce nice to Rogers in the corner lets it fly no good rebound taken down by Coffey who's in the ballgame for the warriors to Johnson the double team is able to get away with it gets it to Jamari Bryant and we have a foul that's going to be on Reynolds okay Reynolds his first we're at the six minute mark.
Sam, your thoughts right now in terms of how we approach this game, going to have to go into halftime, obviously, Jenkins has done some good things.
They put the pressure whenever they lose that they want to do that.
They just got to convert at the other end.
That's in their doing very, very well.
And so far it kind of came and took it.
You oh was rejected.
But they're to clean up the gap out with Michael Crawford and that's what Jenkins is going to have to do as a team be around when that ball up to try to get that second chance shot throughout the game.
Lamar got that shot blocked, but was able to the ball was able to go over the coffee.
He was able to back it up.
And in That's Rodgers over to Ingram on the next cut is Tiki Brown the miss off the back I know go to Rodgers Dodge threw the ball bodies all over the place and the ultimate possession The ball will go over to Jenkins That's Johnson three free throw line extended to jumper by Coffey No good rebound and it'll go to Morgan County They had the opportunity there so he is going to get the shot the ball that time he didn't get the second chance opportunity and so back comfortable he can get a nice move forward and that's over excellent move that's brown from three no good tap up good it looked like Ingram wasn't Johnson and Ingram was very active very active on the board from 23 to 15 Ingram a nice two way player plays basketball and football just so you can hear the bus stop Brown the your your move and your step They got called for traveling Wow take a look at this and nice ball handling loses the defender not once but twice Brown misses but eagle goes right back on the There you go Ingles been in the right place at the right time here today so far early on 23 to 15 at Morgantown Take the ball stolen away Give me that give me that is right Johnson or correct me that's brown and nice move off the bounce goes inside tries for fine England on the wing and the foul was on Brown his first the boys Brown 13 foul Oh no no way pitching catch outside is blind and Johnson Johnson spots up a three but decides to drive inside Looks for Treveon Lamarr and it's knocked out of bounds same what do you see right now Tennessee he's got that tough tough defense again with him.
Dickens is trying to get inside desperately.
We're trying to get inside, but it's so tough to get inside that zone.
But Morgan is like a wave up right here, making 2315 for five until halftime.
We'll be right back with a triple AA state championship AP.
These very important messages today.

23 to 15 405 until halftime You know we talked about Morgan County and you know been there done that Sam last year.
Oh my goodness.
Tony Brown Yes.
The folks in Buford will not forget him.
No.
Okay.
Well, that was C.J.
Turman in Dupree and Brown.
Oh, my goodness.
Mercy.
Mercy me.
You're right.
Buford.
Not.
Not soon.
Forget it.
You take over last year.
Let me see the emotion.
Charlemagne Givens, who left the program, became an assistant at Florida Atlantic, took a few players with him down there from the successful program in Morgan County.
We should mention this and that Jenkins has yet to attempt the free throw.
Morgan County is five of six from.
Wow, that's amazing when you consider that trying to find a way to attack that zone, trying to find a way to get inside, to get some points underneath, they haven't been able to get in and get any fouls called in this Bergen County team.
And that's a must.
It's an absolute must continue to have success know the scoring leaders right now for Morgan County to be brown with nine Jaylen Ingram with eight before he is brown six and four Jenkins Delroy Bryant with three, Eric Johnson with three and Ben Levie with four.
The leaders there, 23 to 15.
Jenkins with the basketball spotting up on baseline with the nets as is number 12 Treveon Lamar and a loose ball foul and the ball will go over to Morgantown it the foul was on Lamar his first but his shot of coach fries from Jenkins many of the Jenkins faithful coming up from Savannah making that road trip and 16 heading north right 16 and 75 feet here and make the middle Georgia's where we are right now Jalen Ingram on the left and the rebound fourth for target and a scrum review Lamar trailing Lamar with it wrestles it away and Ingram on the foul his second and you got to keep you've got to monitor that because he's one of the big three for Morgan County right now he is a big guy good very active there doing a lot of good things for you in this game on both ends.
You don't want him getting in the top level.
Jenkins With the basketball coming in it looks like for Morgan County getting ready to come in this number 32, Jermaine Alexander knocking it down right there with number 12, the aforementioned Lamar, 23 to 17, the lead at the lead for Morgan County at six Field series.
Sam Prince John, great.
So graceful.
So glad to have you with us here in Macon today.
That's Rogers spotting up and launching what was how Reed and knocking it down for Al Reed that is his first three of the afternoon.
There you go.
There he is right there and wide open.
He's got a wide open look.
He does what a shoot supposed to do.
You kind of look like Mike Conley, didn't he?
Does Not up to that, you know, a little bit.
But you get to see that guy work on a nightly basis.
Uh huh.
Right.
Speaking of the NBA, you and I, of course, want to send congratulations out to what a wonderful thing the Atlanta Hawks did for one of our good buddies, Dominique Wilkins.
Obviously, obviously, this has been such a big week for basketball in this state, for the Hawks getting two big wins Monday with the statue and honoring him.
Right.
The big night over at University of Georgia this week with all the A-listers in the house.
Most definitely.
And then championship week.
And we were making it and we remember Dominique being down here trying to find out scores when Isaiah, his son, played a greater Atlanta Christian.
Of course, he's now the University of Virginia.
We have another one.
Mr..
The bronzes.
Yep.
And we we missed Eddie Martin so much.
He left the program.
I did a lot of our fans here this time of year hanging up and a follow up no good on the floor and it looked like that was Jermaine Alexander.
I yes, I was on little his first three.
That was Dimitri Chambers, 26 to 29.
T.J. Brown was inside to Emmanuel Little when it was knocked away and a foul.
Take another look.
There's a three right there in the same spot.
No, that was Dimitri Charles on the way and missing the one and one.
The first of the one and one was Emmanuel Lu.
But Morgan County will retain possession.
That's it's unfortunate we missed the free throw.
You have the ball.
You can't control it in bounds.
Now Morgan's got another chance to look at the court.
Why they had to go to huge to the ground trying to get through the double team and split it to the other foul styles.
They continue to mount ups and yard and things and.
And that's unsightly.
That's one of them are going to be a concern for coaches because you don't want to limit what you can do when you get in the second half of this year.
Not only that, but you, you know, you come into a championship game and you go, what, seven or eight deep?
And that really extends bench.
And again, you see these numbers on the day and this rebound taken down by Silverado off balance that a nice thank you to Paul Glass was Jamal was excuse me Eric Johnson All right Johnson still in to be brown the crowd thought it was a foul.
No call good call I should say sent to That's Grant's button up the minutes rebound taken down by by Lamar to Johnson off balance wide shot no good And we're going the other way with number Oh he missed it made it 50 Here we go Coming right up to the line Jenkins is within 327 to 24.
Well hanging around.
Yes they that's a day in the game.
He does some good things defensively this crowd and Jenkins starting to get into sensing the momentum that football would want to get.
Well you did and it's called on Eric Johnson.
Sam, take us through this is the miss and then they have to bust out.
When you have a bust out, you got numbers.
You have numbers, those out there and that's believe me, out there, he's got a finisher for the basket Good believe Jackie Brown this layup that's the second on Johnson Anderson and this the free throw this to that Morgan County they come back and that was the Warriors Brown Silverado Johnson they got one for three yes yes is right I thought that one never thought quote retire at 27.
His biggest lead has been ten second time for a ballgame here today.
The Warriors and Jenkins have come back.
Johnson nailing a three to keep Brown off the bounce around and up and in if you need one you got to call the C's pardon In truth he went to the rack 11 seconds to go.
Jenkins is playing for the last shot.
That's right on the pull up the mess Gray back control by Morgan Johnny 1 to 3 at the buzzer So the basket is down there trying to find out.
We're waiting for the officials.
Is it going to go?
It looks like they wasted it all.
Take another look in the right, down the right and it is waved off.
The basket did not count.
Yeah.
Wow.
Well, he got the bounce, but he put it up too late.
But what a first half we've had 29, 27.
We're going to be back in Macon after this.
Let's go to Grace.
Grace Olsen.
Morgan Collins, Coach Sam's coach.
You gained a pretty hefty lead there earlier on, but Jenkins starting to close the gap.
How do you spread that score again?
What we got to do coming back out in the second half, we got to do a better job of being more consistent with our offensive sets.
We're doing a decent job rebounding the ball on the defensive glass and pushing the ball in transition.
But we have to make sure that we execute and we're missing a lot of even layups out there and obviously a lot of off into firepower on your team.
How key is it for you to just keep that ball in your hand?
To keep those rebounds coming is very key because we have a lot of guys that can score the ball right now to be a little bit off.
He's missing easy buckets, but we know in pretty much in the second half he's going to come back out and he's going to play his best performance.
Ingram's been pretty on point, so we'll see what these guys do in the second half.
Thanks for joining us, Coach.
Best of luck in the second half.
Let's send it back to Mark over on the set.
Grace, Thank you very much.

GHC State Basketball Championship Weekend only on GPB.
Back here in Macon, our score, the defending state champion Morgan County Bulldogs 29 and the Jenkins Warriors 27.
Gil Tyree, along with Sam Crenshaw back here in middle Georgia, the Triple H State championship.
And I'll tell you what, Sam, we've had a pretty good first half.
Hopefully the second half will be the same.
A really, really good first half.
I mean, Morgan County kids get a lead, but then Jenkins, you know, really came on the second half, cut down on the turnovers, ran back into this game.
Grace Olsen joins us.
Grace here with Jenkins coach Brian, Coach really closed the gap there.
And looking at the statistics, it's really been a team effort so far against.
Yes, you know, least half of our team, no team defensive end in the first quarter.
You kind of got off to a slow start.
Wasn't talking to us communicating?
No, We got caught up in the lights.
You know, the team got caught watching the game and he got off of the rebound and put backs on us.
And in the second in the second quarter, the guy was able to talk and communicate.
He was able to fill a box out, you know, and capitalize on our rebound and pushing the ball down point, get the ball down low.
During halftime, did you emphasize how early season experiences may help them in a situation like this in terms of coming back and keeping that?
Yeah, throughout the year we had a couple of games that prepare us for the situation.
You know, we've been down before.
You know, we're able to overcome adversity.
We live to fight back.
But the way you fight back is by taking one possession at a time, you know, taking care of the ball and not trying to get it all in one play.
All right.
Well, thank you, Coach.
Best of luck in the second half.
Let's see if they can do that.
And meanwhile, let's send it back over to shame and guilt.
GRACE Thank you, Coach.
Brian Thank you.
Highlights of this basketball game.
Sam took it, of course, his two with the steal and the finish.
He knows what to do and nice this really great drive, right Been able to split the defense off the bounce.
The four is brown.
I've been impressed with him and Jalen Ingram from Ingram and then for his words you see the tip in right there and then took the on the bus staff and then a follow by Brown Well number five Eric Johnson knocking them down and hit a big one right there to tie this basketball game before Morgan County was able to go up 2029 to 27 and we talked about in the league been livid before the game started.
He had a couple of big baskets as well for this team.
Silverado, They're on the drive in the lane.
Take a look at the halftime stats.
Same front show with jumps out at you things as you're probably right now is like some of the turnover from Morgan County eight turnovers early in this game but so forth.
Jenkins took better care of the ball in the second quarter and that was the difference that got the points in the paint.
Also a big difference in this game.
MORGAN With 20 to 10 over Jenkins, Sam Crenshaw with the eagle pointing it out.
Our halftime stats brought to you by our good friends at Farm Bureau and George 2927, started the third here at making Gil Tyree, Sam Crenshaw, Grace Olsen and our great crew at GPP.
Glad to have you with us here today.
Just a reminder, coming up after our game concludes here, Jon Nelson, Shawn Golden standing by McEachern.
I get snow across the battle of two giants and coaching in this state.
And Angie Embry and Phil excited too on my face.
So there's something we're going to go ahead and say I want to mention True Diamond to Sheila's watching this will not slow the day.
And of course a team, the Lady Vols over in North Little Rock for the SCC basketball tournament.
We're watching if we can right now he's playing on 24, man.
He's on the way to Tennessee and you don't want to also Sam and I want to say happy birthday to you Diamond two days ago celebrated a birthday.
Yeah because we'll be watching to see how it does against their old guys are old school against Norcross.
His shot was rejected by Morgan County and Jenkins able to retain possession and they will inbound it going the other way.
That is Johnson who was really a pain for Morgan County hitting from the land of Trey and he's back out there again just trying to get things started off.
The bounce goes over the win.
Silverado does one up and the Miss rebound taken down by Turkey hounded gets it across the double range over on the wing right now to the warriors where the boys Brown brings it up top bounce pass over to Ingram to Rodgers over to Dubois Brown looking inside to Adrian and a nice cup baseline to lay it out Lost it in the first two points the second half 31 to 27 the Morgan County lead at four.
That's a big key to get Ingram active once again that little bit of foul trouble early in the game makes a big difference when he's there Morgan County staying tucked in in that matchup zone off the bounces Johnson hangs up in the air Wildcat no good getting the rebound and going up strong Treveon LAMB on the run Lamar got a whistle and a foul is a morning Morgan County basket so there it is There's Ingram doing what he does so well that is Rodgers his first at the line is Treveon Lamar He now has three substitutions for Jenkins the the persons of Silverado running up again is Treveon Lamarr he makes 231 to 29 the lead two for Morgantown that's Ingram the rock and Ingram on the wing Clarkson partially blocked from the more taken down by Jenkins We're going the other way That's a little step forward Johnson up glass a follow up no good tap up no good and that was Silverado He stayed with it deeper than that.
He finally gets it home.
We're all tired of giggle 3102 Thank you, Sam.
That's where you bounce pass to Rodgers to Reed trying to get by defender gets tied up double team throws out the ball it's going out of bounds turnover the ball will go over to Morgan County correctly the ball will go over to Jenkins coming in for Morgan County will be Jermaine Alexander that tipped him by Silverado.
Culver kind of broke a drought by Jenkins.
He had missed the last five field goals before that, but not sure what it was.
Good county going in that zone to three zone right now Johnson will take advantage of the girls with three no good and coming over the back they think they got Treveon Lamar and four Treveon mama That's number three central.
But look at Coach Bryant.
He's not happy about that.
Not at all.
Not at all.
When you guys are some size that can help you out in the deep.
And then they were getting beat soundly at halftime points in the paint Morgan's been big there we got to whistle it looks like an illegal screen or push and it's against Morgan County.
That's Alexander It's Alexander his first results.
What do you have for Treveon Lamar in single action from him?
He came off the bench last year.
Coach Bryant said he reminds him of a man child said he's quite like a comes the comedian the basketball as Charles Barkley.
He said his impact on their team his voice as you were so eloquently talking about that play we had Johnson and Eric Johnson look at that, saying yes, and it's the contact puts it up and then he hits the deck out the basket.
No.
And the foul is on Ingram That's his third.
Alexander was over there too has a chance to complete the on one and that's it Jenkins up by two courtesy of that basket but Johnson was closed up 3131 tied 3331 that splitting defense Nice pass down out of trouble couldn't hold on for Jenkins with numbers laying up and in no good follow up no good top up no good by Lamar fighting for it down low and Ben loving that is so big for the second team like it got outscored in the paint This is working it out and there's a block by Jenkins with it the warriors with number three on one break touch Johnson fakes the three oh there the trail stays with it No but that was Silverado and he couldn't get it to go the double team by Ben Levy and Jamari Bryant on Timothy Brown and that will be the third on Ben Levy and I'll tell you what, Sam, it's getting washed up.
Well, they're going to love it here.
They're going to work for that second chance shot.
Yes, they're playing with it.
And Biden Oh, my goodness.
35, 31 355 left in the third.
We'll be right back.
Cotton farmers want you to know cotton is grown in 91 Georgia counties on over 1 million acres.
Cotton makes a $2.5 billion economic impact and accounts for over 15,000 jobs in Georgia.
Cotton's innovative production has lowered water use per pound of cotton by 75% since 1981.
Bale of cotton can make 215 pairs of denim jeans for $700.
And cotton is a natural choice for Georgia.
Back here in Macon, 3531, the Jenkins Warriors on a run right now.
They have seized control of this basketball game in the third quarter.
Sam Crenshaw we take a look at the road to the championship brought to you by Georgia EMC, how the Bulldogs get here.
They get Lumpkin, they get by them pretty easily Central, gave a little bit more of a fight.
Right South Atlanta, they beat Laney.
That was a big win for them because Laney beat them during the season.
We beat both of these teams right here.
You see West Side Point for Jenkins and their road to the championship over Harlan County, 8951 win Calloway they get a win high high contest and Rutland that got them a year to play for the state championship today.
You know you talk about that Laney the win for Morgan County and we were talking to Coach Sims in our conference call this week and he was saying even they they played so poorly in that game and were able to get the victory and it gave them a lot of confidence.
They beat Jenkins now on a 15 four run that's going back before halftime and here they are with a four point lead.
But Mr. Brown has been dealt one, but it's close the second half, as we know.
But you remember that game.
In fact, you talked about it, Woody, at 35 out of the 37th game in the third quarter.
Yes.
It's a long way.
So he's capable of heating up.
And right now, his team with the basketball trying to beat up the field up here, that's Rogers Jenkins design, wanted to hold two people under 30 and that's the first to foul or be brown.
And that is two more in play.
This guy's going big work today.
Number four is doing big workload to keep brown.
He is following him everywhere he goes on this court is this guy.
He's been frustrating and he's bent neck just won't go away making him work.
Token pressure by Morgan County to try to rattle the warriors but they lead by four trying to take a championship down and Savannah backing it out is got to lose Bennett Payne splits drives off glass no good tap up no good rebound fought for Lamar missed it They had three opportunities to get a basket but couldn't at then we took a hard tumble really out of control.
It was little bit of pride that with England and Lamar was holding his ground state right there.
Boy, you at the side of his face teach.
And you don't like to see that?
No, no.
That was a hard crash.
That was back up.
Is that the line?
That's that's four fouls on Lamar and I'm sure Coach Brown's going to replace him and he does right away.
Replacing him right now is number ten.
That's Michael Coffey.
Some of them Lamar's been of those guys.
Yeah.
Keeping things active on the boards and the offensive boards, getting those second and third attempts, great points.
I mean he's done a lot of the dirty work there and couple of minutes.
Alvarado Very well That's Ingram off glass and expects a lot of on the foul little body into him saying right there and Adrian going strong again that's the second on Silverado you want to get these fouls when you big fellows if you're Jacob because they're the ones that have been making the difference getting your back into this game and the reason why you have the lead and now they can convert.
People always tell you it's the points and score when the clock's not running, when you're behind.
It can make a difference, especially in a game like this one.
And Gilmore try again.
And that's what they call them free throws three and four.
He notes that the lead now enjoyed by Jenkins now at three, as we approach the three minute mark Morgan County still with pressure.
So for the crowd and immediately sensing it and calling a timeout let's coach right Georgia travelers get to know the longest running show and Georgia traveler continues to scour the Peach State for all the newest and oldest and weirdest wildest attractions for you and your family to explore.
Watch Georgia Travelers Friday, Friday at 8:00 and look forward to a special episode on Friday, April 3rd.
That's all about golf.
David Zaleski And that crew always get it done.
Phil Proctor, Ashley Watson, always Learn something.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
Plays in a state that I haven't been before and I'm like, Wow, that's a place I'd love to go and visit.
Nobody.
Nobody travels the streets better than them, no pun intended.
Nope, nope, nope.
Fantastic show.
They have that SUV and the Jersey traveler on it.
Everybody sees it in the great state of Georgia on the great GPB.
It's just know they got to look like they got to be on.
Of course, that's a couple of flowers on him.
And so now he's having a frustrated I mean, he's missed some layups.
I mean, he's done some great things, but he's missing late and he's been really quiet here in the second half.
Johnson working against Emmanuel Little and a late whistle.
The crowd didn't like that.
3532 seconds on Little Emmanuel, Little to guide 11 players.
Junior and still have been Brown Johnson Right now Johnson splits 30 gets by him ball on the floor and cruising with the basketball one on three.
He's got to take advantage of it No good And a rebound taken down by Jenkins Tope you should have backed it up down the lane.
The stuff at Silverado back the other way.
And Kofi was fouled by Dimitri Chambers Forte playing above the Rim show.
GALLOWAY And there's the follow Silverado slamming at home that's his second on chambers so to Brown will go to the line I got that inside he has 12 points has a chance to add on to that but I'll give him 13 his first point his fourth one, the second half and the goal.
Good points.
Seven Good point, because that's what I was going to lead into it.
The whole objective, the game plan for Jenkins was to hold him under 30 and to do that.
And then so far so good.
3734 And when I say to hold him under 30, to have an opportunity to beat Morgan Crowder, Morgan County going for back to back state championship and rarefied air Saint Francis accomplished that today with a double double ladies and the boys being able to bring back championship off the turnaround at Silverado No miss gets his own foul stays with it no get knocked out of bounds Cinderella shot eluded three defenders to loosen up with no opportunity at that shot and this team is working their work in the boards.
Jenkins gets it off the inbounds, Tuki goes over the block and that's the rubber hits the road.
Throw for that.
And that was once an all boys amateur and they call the technical came out of the coaches box they pass the line That's true what happened exactly not exactly sure what he what he said but I think it was a strike right there beyond where the coaches are not supposed to tumble, pass that stripe.
He got there and he reacted to the foul on Brown.
Right.
And the technical was instant demand.
Right.
Or shoot the technical watch Brown go for it.
He gets called for the foul He's walked back You see the coach is standing there.
He's passed a strike some votes on the secondary.
All right.
So there he is.
He's past the strike.
Watch behind him.
There's a lot there.
There's a lot of great coaches that's supposed to come pass that line.
BROWN now with for personal fouls because the technical counts as a personal foul.
So he's in and out for five they're going to have him play with that I'm sure.
But 4234 now and it's still at the line.
And we see Coach Hill safely in this case right now.
Let's talk about what happened at all in time for the season to have that happen, to have it happen to you here at Mason at the state championship game.
And now look at the advantage it was given your opponent just like that.
He goes from what, a lead of three to now to a lead of seven and Brown remains in the game as we found the play with Johnson in the lane gets his own rebound against the trees backs it up now spotting up with you know it was just a shambles Yes got a timeout on the way and now we're going to talk about it.
Yeah.
Equals the biggest league of this game, ten points and it's owned by Jenkins a701.
Take another look at this.
Yes.
Here we go outside spots.
The three gets it to go.
Dimitri Chambers, you talk a lot about Morgan County and they're back here to go for back to back championship.
But it's not here.
Will.
Hey, let's listen into the huddle right now.
Hey, you're not on the deck.
Hey, hey, hey, hey.
The ball.
Hey, I wrote those, don't you?
One thing I wrote, don't stop walking it out.
But it doesn't stop the football.
I for that we got you in this game.
Let's go see a shot of those coaches you just heard from Coach.
Right now we hear from coach, we're doing a job right now.
Got to go because Samuel Herschel said it doesn't start around 701.
You would never know who's trailing and who's leading in this basketball game.
When you hear the words to the coaches.
No, no, no.
And right now it's a ten point lead and enjoyed by Jenkins 44 to 34.
In the midst of a701 Morgan County will inbound it and in deep trouble right now that's Adrian they got around you got to get it to the playmakers and that's what they're doing right now.
They'll find a way to get back in it.
Here we go.
Sam, if you also get the hands of other people other than just Brown, they get to Jefferson and Jaylen Ingram is stepping up.
He has all game long and he completes a three point play and Sam said 44 to 37.
Now minute 23 to go in the third quarter that's chambers backs it out steps out goes down low at Silverado and a spin around no good the rebound taken back by chambers given up right given back to Johnson now working against Johnson up against Brown I should say Johnson drives and spots Silverado on the wing that's three fouls now on Brown The glorious Brown now has three fouls and Eric Johnson goes back to the run What's going on defense in the third quarter so difficult and this is a free throw this has been just the work of this of his defense team on the boards on both ends the most by Brown fluky Brown gets the rebound well and they're going to have a jump ball and the ultimate possession will favor Jenkins under 50 seconds to go here in the third quarter we go.
They will have held to round two two points in this quarter two points, Right.
That tells you a lot about the story this game right now because we don't win of and also the fact that Brown is complaining about trouble as well that's a little bit inside Silverado Silverado again 36 to 37.
Nice job splitting the defense timing and wrapping around at the end it's taken Brown under 25 seconds to go 36 to 39.
Biggest lead has been enjoyed by both of these teams has been at ten points Silverado at Silverado athlete he misses talking Brown with the rebound going the other way 6 seconds to forward launches him in the corner three Brown needs to see it Ingram launches one at the buzzer and Noble took it down going to the ball too long he's going to pass up the great route to the floor.
I don't think it seems like it's brown all this but the work being done in this quarter, you know, we get back into the game to take the lead into the fourth quarter.
That's game seven by Jenkins.
We'll be right back.

Jenkins leading Morgan County 46 to 39 heading into the fourth quarter.
Now, we saw those foul calls earlier.
The personal foul was on to Key Brown, which gave Jenkins a one on one at the line and also the technical as well.
And we talked to the coach earlier this week about Tookie.
He's he told us that he's either zero or 100.
He's either on his game or not.
He said he takes disappointment in and not his highest performance is on the court.
Extremely hard.
He said, I'll just be silent and it can really play to his disadvantage sometimes, just knowing how to handle that.
And he said that when that's the only time he seemed to really struggle.
This season is in two games when he felt he wasn't performing well on the court.
He says his body has even shut down on him during those two games.
So well, and Tookie in foul trouble now.
So we'll see what happens coming up in the fourth quarter.
Guys, back to you.
Great.
Thank you.
And Sam, you want to piggyback on what Grace said, because it's right in the ledger right now.
The aforementioned Tookie Browder saw right there and four or five now with four fouls.
And that's what people were in foul trouble for.
Concern.
Yes.
You've got the Warriors Brown with three and you've got Jaylen Eagle, also with three from Morgan County.
As we start the fourth quarter, they inbound at it right in front of us.
Ingram into two key Brown was born against Illinois blind outlet double team Brown gets his shot clock that's over of blocked again and Johnson gets it Stuffers that's almost a that's also a timeline almost a timeline violation but was able to get it across look like he had one foot over one foot back the clock he did the double team the trap able to break it the miss and the rebound taken down by Morgan County.
They're going the other way.
That's the Warriors Brown inside the lane that call from Johnson shot does not count in the third quarter bill you had six different players all scored four for Jenkins in the quarter so everybody's getting involved.
Another thing that works for this team that was a third foul on Johnson at the line as the Warriors from 46 to 40 the defending champions within six can cut it to five.
It's up and it's good 46 to 41.
So a lot of course, the double on the outside now backing out and the think he's keeping his the floor running it nicely splits the defense initiates contact no call ball knocked out of bounds for four and the ball will go over to Morgan County.
That's what you like to see, Sam Man Hey, Mama.
Cookie Brown was born with a scowl on her face.
Game face on, right?
He's concerned.
He wants his son to get it together for fouls on my baby.
Oh, 46 to 41 under 7 minutes to go in the final period here in regulation.
Just a reminder, like each year in North Bath in the World Championship Final, I was able to put it down with and try to go strong when we were strong to the basket and did a nice job of breaking the double team, going around baseline and almost slowing it down.
A foul of the league knocked it back at the line as everyone now has four points and maybe now with four or five.
Right then Levy was spotted for the foul.
So England then leaves with four.
England will try again one little less like a 42.
There's Mama, Mama proud to be Brown's mom and we got a whistle and we got a foul on the right side.
Oh, we got to come.
You know, the fouls were a concern for these guys and the crowd for Jenkins because they've been so aggressive on the glass.
Go second and third times.
The balls were going up and getting tip.
Some of the people have been doing that and now guys who are pressing for fouls.
Did you know there are tons of exciting science and technology developments going on right here in Georgia?
The new show Side Check now gets the scoop on everything from start ups to Star Wars.
Love stories with national interest, too.
That's Wednesday night, 730.
Get the news of the future.
First side check now.
Georgia on GPB 8 to 2, Morgan County on a run.
And this game has been runs at least in the second half since they have been around 8 to 1.
They kept this lead down four point game.
Now, for a lot of people like Mama Brown, they're waiting to see if number four in the black uniform is going to turn it on.
This is, you know what everybody's doing all right, baby.
And their team trailed right now by 446 to 42 and Jenkins with the basketball and they're going to melt that clock.
Morgan County is gone zone from the outside is partially blocked is on the other way that's Brown avoids the wall goodness goes through and that was called the ball was thrown that's really what song what a game we saw in the first half is a thriller at the right place at the right time and the finish Eric Gordon Brown misses a Newcastle 311 and Brown avoided that offensive foul, which would have been its fifth and he would have been out of here.
There goes Mama Brown, my son Cookie.
He's all about.
Then zone and that basket that stuff on the trail has brought to Morgan County within 246 to 44 and we have the turnout.
So Sam set the stage and as we move now under 619 to go 683 to be exactly the six enough in this game.
But as you say, he's got a game run.
You know, in the end, the first half into the second half it was Jenkins doing all the right things, good things to come.
Brown wasn't a factor at that point.
He's now becoming a effective even if he's not scoring, he's facilitating, he's doing something.
We're getting his teammates in.
Let's bring in Grace Olson now.
Grace, sophomore from 13 from the field over three on three point shot, which coach of Jenkins told us earlier this week that if they can keep TCU below 30 points, he thinks that they can win by double digits.
But if not, he said it'll come to free throws in the final minute.
So that was Johnson and Butler level.
Most of the game streak.
That level went down 48 to 40 for Johnson and Jenkins with numbers down from four.
The hall lays it up and it broke through the 44 runs like he said Sam And right now they have a for a run.
Jenkins stay away from Savannah they bounce at the bell right Cookie Brown runs up a three off the back nine rebound controlled by Dimitri Chambers and a foul out Here's the run Sam here's Jenkins laying up there and the lady with the finish then the outlet pass Johnson and Johnson driving it in with the layup of glass two.
And Dimitri Chambers was right there just in case he had to alone with the part read the foul what I was going to say Dimitri Chambers and also Lamar were there just in case it was one of those guys.
He's going to fall foul, but he's there because he's been a big part of the success of this game and stuff.
That going missed close.
But Lamar's also playing with four fouls.
Do it for five.
He has four, believe he had four, and then Jackie Brown with four for Morgan County.
That's something we've got to be aware of today, especially in this final.
539 5244 Jenkins the lead basket by Chambers, the lead by Jenkins County is now seven or Jenkins, I should say, over Morgan County, that's England backing it out.
It's two three.
BROWN to Jamari Bryant you've just been all over them double team kickout spotting up and letting to go in and make it look like 0020 18 points for Tookie.
Now the end one, his work in jail, he went to work like he said, he's trying to make something good happen with his teammates.
Ball comes out, he gets in there, rolls it up off the glass for to go.
And that was it.
That was a foul was on Lamar his fifth and he's gone.
That's a big loss and big loss.
A big loss because he did all the dirty work for for Jenkins took one completes a three point play the lead for Jenkins has now shrunk to four at 51 to 47.
Well close to the five minute the triple a state championship here in Georgia in and around and making a drop.
It's coming through chambers, he answers 63 to 47.
It's Johnson The Eurostep backs out of three by Ingram off the back nine rolls around does not go does not go on top of the back to top off the backboard and did not go 53 to 47 though you say it right off the top Touchdown free bird stripped away poked away by Ingram they got one more to go ahead of the park Lays it up no more follow up no good Ingram take still left it comes in bounds it gets the drives and up laughs I and Ingram was right there on the foul No good and a foul What grant they are working Did you tell this the last game is it.
There's no tomorrow there's no next week there's no next Friday night when you put it all out there today for in Silverado Sam we already saw Lamar leave this basketball game and you touched on it early on that they were getting in foul trouble.
That importance to the warriors.
Yeah, it's what, 22 to go.
They'll go and take him out.
He could be like, look, you've got to play for and win the free throw.
I don't like it.
53 to 48.
We've got a good one here and make making guilty Sam Crenshaw and Grace Olsen, we're glad to have you with us here on the great this afternoon, the Triple H State championship Morgan County fun to repeat Jenkins with other ideas and going across the timeline at Silverado Chambers back to Silverado backs it out to Johnson Johnson splits goes all the way down up is chambers go good the follow up miss take it down by Silverado they'll back it out again 315 to go Johnson and a timeout called by coach White of Jenkins Grace Olsen you got some stuff that for I do this one's about the fans guys when I think back to last year's 2014 state finals Morgan County in the fans that they brought to their game just seemed so electric.
That's probably the most memorable thing I have from last year stored in my brain.
And they told me all week long on Twitter and everything that they were going to bring the same crowd in.
I do not see I'm looking around now.
I don't see an empty seat in this place.
I can't even hear my producer, Steve, he can't see he's in the truck right now, but I cannot even hear him.
I'm trying to relay information in.
This place is absolutely packed out.
Like I said, not a seat available.
And looks like the crowds are really amping this game up even more.
Guys.
You're right, Grayson.
It's going to stay that way because immediately following we have McEachern and Norcross and then and Pebble Brooks taking on Wheeler.
And then I kept it close things out and making it looks been an outstanding day.
Johnson splits the defense but there's a foul on the play so Johnson will go at the line and the foul is on little his third Emmanuel little in the fourth quarter free throws Sam Morgan County six of seven from the line Jenkins one appearance and then sprouting just amidst the getting to the line Williams Bender was getting to the line at all once again it's your opportunity to score points when the clock's not running.
Cierra Johnson's numbers on the day 12.6 assists, he makes his second and I'll give it a five point lead for the warriors of Jenkins out of seven runner up and the defending state champions in triple A by Taylor so it has to be brown to the other brown the boys for once again a basket encounter 54 to 53 with 15 to go Johnson over the several.
UDOH Back out to Ben level Ben Leslie working against England no way to go to Silverado Silverado against Mills Silverado football is going to worry about taking that's number 52.
The rock got and we're tied.
We saw that we got Morgan County down by 154 to 60 3 to 44 to go battling it out right now.
What we saw in the early in the game, the anticipation reaching in, getting the steal and taking it all the way back.
Nimoy Brown on a double team splits it that's Chambers going up and laying it up and in is Ben Levy 56 to 53 Jenkins up by three spinning around as Ingram in the lane no good follow up by 51 immediately was that Morgantown he calls timeout Who's that man similar to mine.
I would say that that is the flow of the baby Morgan County that's close the lead to one take us through Sam Crenshaw with a dance.
We saw him through it early in the game to start the game once again, the anticipation and the finish.
But to keep brown, he's doing whatever it takes however he didn't score much in the second quarter here he is very active and the trip back in you got to box out people folks because he was able to get inside between two defender defenders and fake it up and in right now to give Brown's numbers 23 points and nine rebounds the mission of Jenkins Sam and you talked about this with the whole turkey under 30 with a chance to pass the ball win.
He's right now 23 nine and three and nine.
You got to go.
Oh, yeah.
And remember, he's playing with four fouls.
Great players have a way of protecting themselves when they're in foul trouble.
You know that very well.
Absolutely.
And he is doing that.
He knows his team needs him.
We have a chance to go back to back and back.
But then what I'm sure Charlamagne Givens and C.J.
Turman watching at the tournament, they played in the tournament the day Belt tournament.
I think the inbounds by Jenkins County, the lead by one that's been leveled.
He said it to Georgia State, as Sam talked about, the Johnson Johnson he gets by everybody back up and it's guarded by Reynolds that's going to be in the middle of the void to protect him and that's chambers on the baseline dropped no good ball football on the floor and the ball's going to be out of bounds on Morgan County.
So it stays with favorite Jacob Jenkins with 141 to go and their lead by one Ben Levy on the inbounds gets it out to Johnson who's working against winning.
But when the time ticking on the double team Reynolds is spotting for the foul.
I think he got away with one two gets a little bit just a little bit so that's Reynolds and that's his sandwich Chronicle chronicled the foul trouble the two D browns in.
He got a technical that added on to a but it technically counts as another Fouts is got to put a it for a long ways and legalize basketball games really good call they could have been really costly but he's looking for other teams he left the shot free throws with Johnson on the line for that good job of having not had that at this stage in the game in the biggest game of the year, nobody has left.
It's going nowhere for center flips and making records in the deep team in Northwest, falling for the Bills and six right after that coupled with and really in the battle between Nathan Lane and Mariota top county if you will but they'll go for the state of Georgia 5755 on the right.
So on the left side, Soupy Brown playing with four fouls, trying to get by, brown spins, hands, lays it up and spots a foul, and it looks like they're going to get Silverado.
Yep, and that will be all for him.
It is Silverado and if that's it for Silverado, that's for him.
It was either Silverado or Ben level and both have four.
Huh.
One of them is going Silverado.
We will correct the first one and he will be replaced by Michael Coffman.
The consequences Center.
Your thoughts right now where we stand in this basketball team.
Yeah, we got a minute.
12 to go right now.
We got Mr. Brown at the free throw line is is big and makes legislative application separate one more time with 112 to go.
So we've had some great games that are overweight games, great games.
Now Jenkins comes back and we already had 1000 feedback from his partner and Larry Smith called that Southwest Atlanta Christian for San Francisco, which I think started the day They thought we were going to do some better than that.
But I don't know this one as that's and they made it turkey on that it's either totally different just a minus was or both browns were over there and I think they got brown they got the boys brown because Johnson up in the air but he's up and he's up and look at it whoop is there will not be no Dudley Dudley red hot.
I've said you're ever going there when you can unlock the tie.
Fourth time of the game here this afternoon when this was still down at 57, right at a minute in regulation 34 times at Michigan Roseville Johnson 14 points to it, seven from the free the line.
Sanders alluded to that all day long back in this league the second one up and good but the eighth and 57 Morgan County with the ball under a minute that's the boys playing the turkey for and against fried drives hangs in the lane ball partially blocked ball going to the team by and I think they got to be on a reach You reached in took you took you drove missed a shot number ten is spotted on the side of the ball is brown he's gone but after that 11 he leaves the game towards brown which played well but it really has He's had a remarkable game But now remember you have the loan bankers with the chance to extend their lead.
And Ben Levy does that to make it a now a one possession game for two and he'll make it another one possession game.
This will be the three and it is 6257, the only 4 seconds to go and ball's in the hands of you know who and the guy has been in his face all day long.
Jamari Bryant He's one of the reasons he doesn't have that big scoring day.
Will be brown to man game with England up and in round one What a time for that Jalen Rose Well you talked about earlier saying the fact that other people had to step up.
You know the double team is going to come and one on the presence of mind Nice two man game working off the screen I mean and one possibility fouls on Michael Crafty Ingram for his first Jalen Ingram who not only plays basketball but he plays football runs it up and we are all 31 seconds to go Jenkins with the basketball and Johnson with a clear shot of this basketball game at Johnson First the time line calls timeout with 42 seconds to go in this basketball game Sam prints off the whole thing written a better script for this one cook have come down to 22.8 right now in the game is tied at two Dukie Brown for all the things that didn't go well for him in the fourth quarter but we see he found way he found a way to get his teammates, get him in position to get baskets and score even when he wasn't scoring so important.
We're going to go inside the huddle right now with both coaches on the left will be Coach Brown and on the right will be Coach Simmons.
Let's listen in.
Oh, man.
Got out.
No, no, no, no, no.
All right, let's go right down the discovery.
Hey, hey, hey.
Oh, you get it?
Take a look at it.
We got.
We got to go on free.
Throw numbers here in the fourth quarter.
Morgan County, nine of ten, Jenkins six of ten talked about that Two free throws will come to bite.
You really work the game.
You can't afford to give up.
You always say those chances to score when the crowd's not moving.
The opportunity for Jenkins is left.
Throw him out there.
Bill Tyree and Sam, great shot resulting in a breakthrough here.
GPB 22 seconds to go in regulation Johnson with it 18 seconds working against running backing out Johnson slips retains possession still with the ten four for the last shot Johnson drive to Lane lays it up and 4 seconds to go That's it from the win Oh Johnson wait wait wait just like to Taylor but he's doing this no good blow by Ingram just flew by Wells had it in perfect Oh we had been living within the right wing.
What's he going to do?
This is the number 11 with LeBron for him to take the seven No.
17 points for Johnson took it all in on himself and now only 2.8 remaining Jenkins with a 2.17 points for Johnson's seven.
In this quarter alone, Eric Johnson has played tremendous and telling the folks who came up from Savannah Hold on.
Well, we're going postal saying you talked about it.
He said, hey, let's take it on down in south Georgia.
It'll be a nice trip down 16.
This is it.
Made it 3.6 points.
This is what we got left here.
If they can hold it up, Morgan County has to go the length of the floor.
Timeout by Coach Pride.
Take a look.
They want to take a look.
It's called timeout.
So who was going to be inbound and see where he was going to be lined up And now they've got to look at it.
What a game here.
This it's Saturday and there's mom.
Right?
Mom?
A little nervous.
She's been all plugged into this game watching her son play this one.
Remember what he did here last year.
Senior?
There's one more shot, one more chance for him.
Look, the guy in front of me in the white jersey number four, DeMar, right?
He has played a tremendous game defensively.
He is foul to Brown all over this court.
I'm the president.
Follow him into the hole he's going to go call timeout but number four White has done a remarkable job on your hard to hold a guy like that down for an entire game virtually impossible he has 25 points now is 3.6 seconds to go and you get three point right the numbers you see Morgan County 1493 go three point field goals.
And you know, we talk about it.
Savannah, last two years ago, Johnson High school came up here with a kid by the name of Tim Quarterman, who's now playing at LSU and they took a championship back.
The atom smasher in the Warriors do the same thing inbounds out of bounds and the ball will be written by Jenkins and Sam Evans.
You throw all that up coming out of the hole, going through a pass.
Somebody was supposed to be to break.
Somebody was supposed to be there.
Take another look.
He's throwing it.
Somebody was supposed to be there.
All the women seem to be sitting there.
The men were little too long for him to get Brown is exit the game and that's Johnson with the ball.
He's ball on and running out the clock won't stop it It Jenkins is going back to the coast You the Jenkins warriors all the boys class slip away state champions thanks in part to one error Johnson saying he did it when you had to have it.
What a second half for this basketball team here.
They came out.
They really took charge of this game and then held on.
They weathered the storm and Johnson a big shot at the end of the basket at the end and then to run out clock.
We'll be back with the celebration here in Macon.
The trophy goes to the Jenkins Warriors.
We'll be back in Macon after these very important messages on the great GPB wrecking my road trip.
