Georgia.
It's the GHSA football championship game for the AAA classification featuring the number one ranked syrup makers of Cairo who are Tina do on the season, against the Falcons of Flowery Branch who finished with a 12 and 2 record overall, and the fans are here inside the Georgia Dome.
We are glad that you could join us as well here in the States Capitol and we welcome you all upstairs to the broadcast Booth Charles Ward alongside six-time NFL pro bowler.
Jeff Van note, with the play, call John Nelson, and Phil Proctor, join us momentarily.
And Jeff, we have to talk about a theme for tonight's ballgame.
We could look to the mascot for both teams to pin 14 tonight.
Night for the Falcons of Flowery Branch, their first hunt for a State title.
If they are to win it, they are gonna have to win it through that spread offense of this, and for the syrup makers, tonight, if they are to win the State title, they will have to stick to that run driven offense.
Well, Charles, you're right.
It was a sweet win for Cairo.
Over Carver Columbus in the semi-finals, because Carver Columbus beat him last year in the state finals.
And and that was a big even up win for them.
And the person who makes the difference form, is that quarterback that they have, and Peace Angela that had two touchdowns running to throwing in that game.
He's got a lot of Versatility in this spread attack.
Peace.
What a 65 percent completion rate as well.
Now, in that backfield for this are Bankers as well as retinol Bryant.
Well, Reggie O'Bryant, we saw gets last night a power back with a lot of Wiggle in finesse and some kind of ability, that's not the way it works.
Original Brian 1700 plus yards this year over a to carry Reginald.
Bryant is a power back that's going to run north and south right at you and I'd be interesting matchup for that defense.
The head coach for the syrup makers is tompa La he's in the sixth campaign at Cairo and we caught up with him.
To the Ball Game.
And this is what you can expect from this Eric makers tonight on offense.
Worry multiple.
I, we like to use multiple formations to get angles, where we feel like we can run the ball a little bit better.
We do like to spread you out, and take advantage from this with some matchups throwing on defense, where an eight-man team were read and react defense.
You know, we're not penetrators, we're not very big from Cairo.
Whoa, but we are fast and we like to fly around and you'll see a bunch of kids that are running the football and Jeff for the Falcons of Flowery Branch.
Okay, pepper, I think the Falcons of Flowery Branch call their offense, the air raid and their defense to blacks warm.
Let's talk about some of the Personnel that makes both those sets work for the Falcons are a little bit different.
I think when you have an air raid, they've got a power wrinkle component to that, but you've got Connor, Shaw, pulling the trigger.
That's the key, man.
They have to have.
He's going Roll the ball.
He's going to run the ball, he's thrown for over 2,000 yards, 21 plus TDS this year.
He's a guy that you're going to have to contain and pressure on defense in order to have a chance to win defensively sha with a 3.5 GPA as well.
And Shaw gets a lot of help offensively and defensively from Daniel Drummond.
Daniel Drummond, is that power component?
I talked about six, 3245 exceptional speed for a big man.
He's going to be in the backfield and they're going to go to him to provide that power attack.
But at defensive end, He anchors that defensive line.
It's a big powerful defensive front, Lee Shaw as a head coach.
For the Falcons of Flowery Branch has been since the program started in 2002.
We caught up with him prior to the night's ballgame, and this is what you can expect to see from the Falcons tonight.
Offensively were spread option, team much like West, Virginia, and our gun run package, passing wise.
It looks more like Texas Tech and we have the capabilities going up.
Underneath, and look more like Georgia Tech and a double slot off.
Some of the names you'll hear today against our opponent Cairo is Connor, Shaw quarterback, Daniel Drummond, running back senior and freshman Imani cross.
Also is running back defensively, where I multiple 43, capabilities getting into an eight-man front, also a 30-pack i'j and eyes on Cross is a name that a lot of people have heard.
He's a defensive end and quite a player Force throughout this Championship game tonight Jon Nelson and Phil Proctor will be at Sideline to bring you all the in-game details, We Begin our coverage with Jon Nelson, who's perched on the Falcon sideline Nellie good afternoon Charles to you and Jeff, you ask coach Shaw about the ride seven years to now today is like a dream for him.
That first season, they went Owenton had to dress out of the back of a tractor trailer and had to pick up the Rocks off the practice field before they could use it fast forward to this week.
They got used to the turf by going to the Falcons indoor complex, coach Shaw has assured them that this game will, No different.
It still 48 minutes on a field, 100 yards long, the only difference the bright lights and that roof above us.
That is the story from this particular Sidelines and send it over to the Cairo side, and Phil Proctor.
All right.
Thank you, Nelly.
And how sweet it will be for Cairo.
They can walk away with their third straight title.
You know, a lot of people comparing this team for the 1990s team that went 15 and 0 and 1.
The second straight State title behind a great defense update 2008.
This team is loaded on offense to Nations on defense.
Don't ya but I mentioned they want to avenge that loss to crawler Columbus from last season in the finals if they can execute tonight, the way that they have done all season long then I would think that the Falcons could be in a sticky situation, Charles back upstairs and you and Jeff, thank you, Phil.
Well the Falcons of Flowery Branch sort of their first State title or with a syrup makers of Cairo.
Find the right recipe for a triple a crown, stick around the Falcons and syrup makers coming your way.
Next on GPB, And we are back live inside.
The Georgia Dome, getting set for the AAA championship ball game, between the Falcons of Flowery Branch and the syrup makers of Cairo.
Syrup makers vying for their third State title, the Falcons win today.
This will be the first in the school's Short history.
Sarah makers, undefeated on the season.
Ranked number one in AAA football in the state.
High powered offense in a very strong and steady defense for the syrup makers, the same for the Falcons.
It's from both schools.
Pumped up here in the Georgia Dome, getting set for this one.
Teams in the red and black guys, were looking at there.
Those are the syrup makers of payroll.
Falcons will receive a football to get us going.
Down to the five return by Young Rodney Young on the carry, got it up near the 18-yard line and that is where the Falcons of Flowery.
Branch will go start on offense led by the junior quarterback.
Connor Shaw, 132 completions over 2,000 yards in the air for the junior 21 touchdowns to just six interceptions.
We'll talk more about Shaw is this game?
but as a brother jaybo, who plays at Georgia Tech, First play from scrimmage.
Spread offense by the Falcons.
You'll see that look all game long.
Play fake Shaw, stepped it up, himself space near the 30 yard line and a good start for the Falcons.
up front for the Falcons, Crandall free color, Clark and Todd, the center of Flowery Branch Kimbro and cross starting in the back fuel young Lipscomb and Fraser, the receiving Corps, For the Falcons first and ten after the run by Shaw play fake.
Are going to go option.
He'll fake it now pitch.
Frazier on the carry for the Falcons and he got it up near the 35-yard line defensively for the syrup makers.
It's Perkins Bennett Williams and black, the four men up front line, backing core, lutely, Wilcox, Elkins and Thornton.
That's a good group.
And then the secondary it's Davis shine and boat afford Quality Ford and then C to a division.
1 Prospect Second down in five.
So lucky.
Now, dumps it down low cost.
Look at the section cause that's what I do.
The 43 yard line, the Falcons moving the football.
Well, Jeff.
Well, very, very to Tech very first thing you noticed, Charles is the enormous splits of the offensive lineman?
I mean, they're every bit of three and four feet apart that really spreads your defensive front out, it creates natural holes.
The quarterback.
Connor Shaw.
Also for money, cross, nice.
Play to dump off the cross.
Probably his last option on that passport first and 10 from the 43 movement up front of the syrup makers flag coming in on that play.
Dead ball foul defense, the first down first, assess, whatever football game.
As we take a look at the officiating, food, David Hudson, the ref, Brian, both Bonner that the Umpire Phillip Hayes landing on Judge.
Dave Hudson jock Hooper's the back judge and mark the Mendez is Phil, judge.
On the ground, it's crossed angling back to the inside.
Got it near the 32 and close to the first down marker.
Just be something to have two backs of the size of Drummond, 632, 45 and money cross.
Number one averaging eight to have a carry himself six-foot-two, 15 to college size backs in high school back field over seven hundred forty yards for the Freshman cross on the ground for the Falcons.
We'll take our measurement, are for the carry, by cross.
The thing about it, when you get a team moving the ball like this, they've only thrown the one pass but they've been in a passing formation and he encountered trouble has run it, you've got to get them out of rhythm, they get into a rhythm, it could be a long night for your defense.
So you got to you have to do something, to get them out of a rhythm, to Rome for a - loss on a run, get them into a Situation.
Get a sack pressure, the corner of the, you have to do something defensively first in 10 after crosses run.
Shaw.
It's pressure, but it leads right side.
Now he'll tuck and run down out of bounds near the 29 yard line.
On the stop for the syrup makers.
Little bit of a glitch that time as the syrup makers sent number for off the edge Bennett.
As you mentioned the defensive end, I thought it was playing linebacker when you step back a little bit but he provided the pressure, you've got them make the stop back there.
Second down and six nail Shaw surveys.
Each set up Baker's play that one as well.
When TV is Williams and understand for Cairo.
That's going to be a key all night through the sure of makers defense.
They're not very big.
They are very small.
I think I saw coming from a coach in one of the playoff games you thought was the fastest defense, his team that played all year.
They need to rely on that early coverage.
If they throw, then get after Connor, Shaw Williams leading tackler for Cairo.
And on his first top of the football game, 3rd down and 9.
Shawl raises fires.
Got a man sucking with a 20 pitch is made up by Rodney young first down for the Falcons.
This is Dave is on the coverage for the Sarah makers.
Connor Shaw was a wide receiver is first two years versus brother was in there.
That gaybo Shaw, but he looks very natural at that quarterback position playing in the spread offense, good-sized lad, 6 to about 185 moves.
Very, very well Elusive and that's a very nice throw on the Run young with 20 catches on the season.
Gives the Falcons a first down.
They keep it on the ground.
This time right side painting down mirror and yard line.
Daniel Drummond with us.
First Carry of the football game.
Play designed to go inside.
They pull the left guard Keller.
66.
He pulls around the center.
They exchange blocks Drummond decides.
Nothing, there.
Takes it outside.
Still picks up yardage.
So second down and about a yard that your drumming.
Again this time met at the line of scrimmage fixed.
If the fence of effort by Cairo and better than mine tavius, Williams, fine job by Monta vyas Wheels.
May be their best defensive lineman 6 to about 260 Penetration penis enter and guard.
Refused to be blown off the ball in the double team.
Situation leads the team in tackles for loss with 17. third down and one now, first possession of this AAA championship ball games, but all Falcons in stock On the fake, Call spends, back to the inside or progress, had him down near the six yard line.
The syrup makers defensively pushing back, see what a market.
Let me show those defensive back spot with the initial head on Shaw.
Tightened up down here.
Yardage is shrunk in the field has shrunk and and K rows.
Made the yardage a little tougher to get still big first down.
No first down, though, you have to get it first and gold, first, and goal to go now from the seven and a timeout taken on the field.
This one no score here from the Georgia Dome will step aside for a quick timeout.
Out and back with more of the AAA championship.
Timeout taken by the simp makers of Cairo.
Jeff.
They are on the Hills at this point Bond drive for the Falcons to start this football game.
Yeah, they're doing a good job.
Only throwing the ball one time I think until they've mixed Connor Shaw.
Drumming and cross all three of them carrying the football, but it's it's tightened up down here.
I think I kind of feel like you'd have to throw the ball early in the spread them out a little bit more for The goal to go from the seven.
Young and emotion.
Shaw will keep it himself.
Got it inside the five works his way down there, the three perhaps there, too.
where's that said, when you have a runner of his capability Connor Shaw, You just let him run a little bit.
Almost 1,000 yards.
Rushing this year, five and a half yards, a carry second and goal to go.
Now from the free this time, it's drumming.
Pack Em Up stomach.
Bryce Thornton a linebacker for the setup.
Make, there's the initial hit on bummer.
Third and goal to go.
Now for the Falcons I just can't get over those splits.
I mean it's three or four feet when I could be in an island over playing tackle.
Drummond ball, football down there, the three yard line.
Never really got a good clean hand off from Connor Shaw but I think they were trying to run the read option again.
That's the one near and about two plays ago where he put it in Drummonds belly and read what the defensive end is doing this time.
It's just not the mesh there and they were lucky to recover it.
I didn't see who recovered it but a nice effort by the Flowery Branch to get them all back.
21-yard field goal effort coming now.
By the junior.
Billy Thompson.
Thompson with the Keck got a lot of leg and are under it here.
The Georgia Dome and bribes it through for the Falcons Flowery Branch.
They don't get the touchdown, but they come away with three to take the lead here in this, triple a football game.
Moral Victory, you got to feel good.
If you're Cairo your defense you were they drove that ball from their own 18, right down inside your 7 and and you stiffened up the last five plays made them in them work that first down inside the 10 and then then held on the Golan, nice job by the Cairo defense.
So the Falcons the 21-yard field goal by Billy Thornton lead.
It 3 nothing.
Moral Victory, that's a little cliche but there's nothing.
No moral victories in winning or losing, but there is more victories in series between defense and offense.
I were to play 79-yard Drive Jeff, just under seven minutes taken off the clock.
That's a very efficient work by the Falcons.
With gems stands.
Deep with a setup makers, Right side up near the 30 yard line, good return by the Special Teams unit for Cairo.
German boat occurred on the return for Cairo that it up near the 28 or 29, yard line.
And that's where Angelo peace will.
Bring that Carol often something to feel 74 completions for peace on the season 1,300 yards, to the are 14 touchdowns and just one interception, Jeff.
I know you are a big fan of the touchdown to interception ratio, pretty impressive for peace.
He is, he's having a fine year.
First play from scrimmage, is on the ground.
As we take a look at the lineup for Cairo upfront, it's brown, young Gator, Grant and Palmer the center for the center of makers.
Bryan Johnson, Adams, Iceland, and Harold.
Those are the running backs and the receiving Corps for Cairo.
I formation is a primary set offensively and you will see Angela piece from the shotgun.
As he is here, second down and seven.
On the ground, they go right side.
Again this time pushing up near the 32 yard line sensibly for the Falcons crossed Drummond Keith and Clark.
Men up front line.
Backing core Bell, young and Sanderson Lipscomb, and locked in a healing on Palmer, and Frazier, the secondary for the Falcons collectively, you got to go.
Interceptions among them.
Third down less than a yard.
We got the corner that's enough for the first down.
Fumble on the play.
Football comes loose covered by one of the lineman for Cairo.
Anthony Brown picking up the football, their rulings down kills.
Yeah, you got to admire what coach Paulo is done?
When this very first series, pretty good field position, but he ran twice rate at that big defensive front and it is big.
Teeth is got to be 66, 320 in the bell in.
There is been carcass he's about 511, 260 inside a lot of size inside the rim, right?
Adam couple times.
First in 10, but keep it on the ground.
Straight ahead and not a whole lot there, Falcons with a nice defensive set that said, I wouldn't want to make a living running it at D line all night, but I'd like to establish something inside early.
- playwright, I praise him and they stood right up, that is the they're strong.
And then the two defensive ends and Drummond and cross 40 for both the division.
One prospects nice-looking football front crossing over 100 tackles on the season.
Second down and ten.
No game on the previous Play.
Peace sharp drop.
Now, here comes the pressure.
He lost the football on the carpet.
Down here.
The 35 looks like the setup makers will keep it the defensive pressure by the Falcons forcing.
It was almost a turnover.
Yeah, they came with the early Blitz and middle linebackers Sanderson.
He is just blowing up the middle.
Nobody picks him up and he provides the early.
It's a play action.
It takes a little time to develop.
He's not honoring any fake at all.
He is just coming and then everybody else is going to get in on the mix there.
19 for Cairo.
After the miscue by piece in the previous play.
He's will keep it himself, left side, got it up near the 38 yard line, but nowhere near the first down marker, Clark on the initial, stop for the Falcons.
So, the syrup makers now forced to punt the football away.
Garrett Godwin set to do that.
Backpedaling have a return on this one coming like side with the football is Palmas.
Almost got up to be released.
36, yard line.
We need viewers like you to help support the live broadcast of these games.
You can show your support by coming, becoming a member of Georgia public television.
Simply by calling one of the numbers on your screen or visit our website at gpb.org and thank you very much for supporting Georgia Public Broadcasting.
Enjoyed our Championship coverage from the Georgia Dome yesterday.
And today We're good way to tell us that you have is to support GPB shawl back in action, for the Falcons.
Rose stretched out of the field.
Catch made by Boudreaux at the sidelines about a four yard pick up on the pass.
Well he's on the short side of the field in front of the Flowery Branch bench, he's looking left to the wide side, he had Fraser down there, young was running out there Lipscomb, they were all out of that side.
Well covered, and it came to back to the short side to his relief, man.
Second down and six.
Now they go to another pass.
This one top of his game middle of the field.
Now, close to the first down marker.
Catch made this time by Rodriguez Fraser.
The Junior.
They say it's enough in the first.
You have to move the chains.
Less than a minute remaining here, first quarter quick-moving, first quarter in this AAA championship ball game.
Other than that pressure early on one pressure by Bennett from the defensive end spot.
Really got a lot of time to sit back here and throw movement up front.
The therap makers defensively.
For the head, Bob quarterback dead.
That's exaggerated motion dead ball foul.
Ow defense.
Fourth down.
Well that was close encroachment 24 wasn't there, wasn't any contact just just over the ball, just a little bit, just an inch or two, you know.
I'm a lot of touching the rules.
I thought you had to get back and I thought you had to either snap the ball and a little out of touch with me because high school rules first and five after the assessment Rodney young and young, works it up to the 40 yard line.
I still hitch, pass out the flag, stay young first down for the Falcons.
Get.
So go ahead trouble, sorting on the stop for these two reflectors.
Gets a really fine block out here from Boudreaux.
The other receiver in the slot formation.
Does a nice job of s.h.i.e.l.d.
enough the inside Sean?
And I think that's far perfect, 55 54 yards and on the ground.
21 yards, 15 care and way too comfortable.
Way too comfortable out there but we caught in a rock and a hard Little bit with this spread offense, you have come to the end of the first quarter here at the Georgia Dome.
It's a 3.
Nothing lead for the Falcons of Flowery Branch over the Stirrup makers of Cairo.
As you look at Daniel Drummond, working at toward the end zone and come up short, but they get two three.
We head into the second quarter.
The Falcons leading it 3.
Nothing over Cairo.
Falcons on another drive here down at the 41 yard line of the syrup makers.
Fast quarter Flowery Branch is very, very comfortable out there on offense.
First playoff game for the Falcons schools been in existence since 2002 and a very quick developing program.
To go from the start in this decade to being here in the Georgia, Dome more on that later.
First and Ten now.
Drummond left side.
Nothing there.
Perkins and imma stop for the syrup makers.
Got some help from Bryce Thornton as well.
Well, they're crashing their defensive end which I've been at.
Do it earlier, you seemed Perkins now, crashing inside the big split.
You want to take it inside Gap, if you can, and that leaves the outside open little bit of a matter for the linebackers to get the scrape but they're doing a good job of crashing inside and stopping at inside belly.
Carnival, which I'll fix it in the line.
This Time backside pressure by the syrup Lakers, he tried to avoid it.
Got it back to the line of scrimmage though.
Good pressure by Cairo.
Logan Bennett in on the stop for the setup fingers.
Nice job by the linebacker Brown.
Number 55 outside backer.
They're trying to pick him up with Grumman the fullback or the tail, back to the single back in a fake.
Doesn't do a good job.
He's the one who forces.
Connor Shaw, the scramble good job by 55 Brown.
Third down and 10.
Football still resting at the 41 yard line.
Misdirection are going to reverse this lipstick lipstick.
That's when we met the corner, got the Falcon, the first down and finally chased out of bounds near the 28, yard line Davis.
Pushed them out for Cairo, a nicely designed play, by the Falcon offense.
Why when they work, they look great, this one look great.
If your Flowery Branch great block down, The old by Boudreaux 21 to wide receiver, normally only only 17 catches on the year but he's starting and does a nice job of shielding off the cornerback Davis and the picking up the extra yardage, at least seven or eight.
Nine extra Yards First and Ten.
Now football at the 27-yard line at the center of Lakers shawl, surveys fires, across the middle.
Threw it high and Lipscomb takes a shot for his effort down here.
The 15 voted for, put the hit on him pass through.
I'm slightly high by Shaw.
first bad, passing the same throw bad only in the content that was High second and 10 after the incompletion While completing it 3, nothing trying to get some more here on this drive, Shaw faked.
Now going up, top through a deep and incomplete.
Intended for Frasier Frasier covered.
Well how to run into some double coverage near the end zone.
And got the sense there, that Connor Shaw, just a wisely, threw that football deep at no one to get to it.
Yeah, it wasn't the coverage that he wanted.
Joe Frazier, normally a tight ends only 62 180.
So really wide receiver in this spread offense, they list him as a tight end, but they split him out and he plays like a wide receiver.
Third down and 10.
Shaw.
Now raises looking back to his, right?
He'll try to run it himself and hit nearly initial line of scrimmage.
Logan Bennett with a stop for the setup makers, and that'll bring up a fourth down for the Falcons.
Very nice downfield.
Coverage that peas in there at one of the dbe's right now, the starting quarterback, but also the normal Davis, and beautiful, and shine all doing a great job of damn field coverage forcing.
Shaw.
I'm just to kind of keep that ball and doesn't get anything Falcons lining up for a field goal.
This will be a 44-yard effort by Billy Thompson.
It's already connected on one.
They get it down.
It's got plenty of leg on it.
Did he get the accuracy?
You need it?
Yes, he did.
From 44 yards away number for Billy Thompson.
Makes it a six-nothing lead for the Falcons and Jeff.
He probably had 20 more yards on that kick.
There were fighting people in the stands for that ball.
Nice job, that's great range.
Well you have everything working for you.
As you take a look at the scoring drive for the Falcons 10 plays 37 yards, three minutes 16 seconds off the clock.
Second field.
Goal of this first half ability Thompson.
This one coming from 44 yards away.
No wind conditions are really worried about here.
Inside the Georgia Dome, and we have seen it throughout the Championships from this weekend.
The kicker's have had a really good experience here in terms of kicking the football.
Well it's a great field this field Turf you know it's not the original AstroTurf sand Tartan Turf those things that came out 40 years ago and it's it's very soft and cushion nicely.
I'm sure the young men are getting a great great opportunity to feel they're getting great.
Rather playing on it.
9:34 remains first, half Thompson, getting set to give the football back over that a syrup makers.
Deep dick Thompson in the end zone, 4450, fully taken me on it and the syrup makers will start from their own 20.
Here Comes Angelo peace.
And Carol coming back for offense.
Phil Proctor down at field level.
Phil what you got.
Hey, here's something that Jeff and I would definitely appreciate the offensive line for Cairo.
This is their 30th start.
And since they've been there, coach said now, what's really impressive about that?
These guys do a lot of work together, they have to communicate because of the offense, they run and I'll tell you what they're doing a great job.
But 30 starts is incredible back upstairs to you.
Thank you.
Phil flag coming in At the line of scrimmage before that play could get started.
Get up makers back paddle.
The reason, this them another, in the shotgun that time and that Palmer the center, six with 250 line, end up over teeth, 663 20s got his hands full.
But he's got leverage going for his got some size and leverage, that that might help him with a big man like that first and 15 trips at the top of your screen for the setup makers piece.
Steps back and takes the court.
Fumble the football and still lose down near the 10-yard line covered.
By Wilcox for the syrup makers.
He's having some problems handling, the football early here.
The Georgia Dome.
Well, that's two times.
I think he's dropped it as you said, Charles and we're trying to run a quarterback draw right up the middle.
It wasn't there, you know, I liked it, the very first series, they establish the a little bit inside running with Bryant but just you know you don't you're not going to make a living on that today.
You're going to have to hit the edges.
You're going to have to hit some passes but You're only down six nothing that's only one play in football.
Second down in nineteen, Heats will try to throw it.
Here comes the pressure in the end zone.
What did he leave?
That one more to beat and breaks it out of the end zone.
It's got some real estate in front of him.
Finally, pull down at the 12 yard line.
That's about a 50-yard run, just to get ahead.
Nice effort.
Sanderson chasing and makes the stop for the Falcons across, the very fine defensive end early on, had a shot at him in the end zone.
Six, three and a half to 55.
He gets after him here.
Not a very contained block but he's unable to bring him down.
Good awareness by Antonio piece in making something out of a really was going to be a safety or maybe another humble in that situation.
Had a lot of people back here.
Third down conversions Falcons feel five setup makers.
50% one of two, there's a big third down play, they dump it down at the sidelines, stop near the 17 yard line.
Bryant made the catch Daniel Drummond and on the stop for the Falcons.
Here's drumming at the defensive end spot and he's reading, peace, peace.
He doesn't sell this screen long enough.
It starts dropping a little bit, no pressure on him yet.
And drumming just pulled off from any kind of Rush and started looking out.
The flat, got to sell that screen.
You got to Sarah Bernhardt and it's all acting.
If anybody remembers Sarah other than me, maybe you've got the burn hotter up a reference End before the half.
Godwin, with the kick crossed with a return.
Inside of set up make his territory to the 47 yard line.
That's another cliche that I was inundated with early on in my career.
That's must've been from a coach, who Sarah burner.
I assume she's an actress.
I never saw her really six-nothing.
Lead for the Falcons over the Sierra makers time out back with more.
Six minutes, 55 seconds, remaining in this first half and the AAA championship ball game from the Georgia Dome Falcons of Flowery Branch with the early six-nothing lead, over the setup makers of Cairo.
Hero coming into the ball game, ranked number 1, 13 and 0 on the season.
As we take a look at total yardage this far over 100, for the Falcons 0, just over 10, just 12 total yards in the first half.
Shotgun for Shaw past here, the flat sketch by Lipscomb lipstick.
What should I fear the 40 yard line?
Gluten in on the stop for Cairo.
Bubble screen is short side of the field there, Jeff or anytime you get three receivers one side of the field defensively.
That's what you got to look for.
And you got to really press the press, the guys, at the line of scrimmage, they're gonna block you, but you have to, you have to contest them as quickly as possible, so that they can't get a running, start at you and develop a blocking, develop some Running Room, pretty good reaction to it.
They still picked up six yards second down and four.
Frosted motion.
He'll give it to cross left side, cross pushes, the pack near the 35 yards on my second.
A thought crossed first down for the Falcons Monty cross.
Just a freshman for the Falcons.
Find first half.
That's far.
Large freshmen to carry a flag down on the field as well.
Jeff after that run yard.
Thanks man.
Unintentional face bears by the Cairo defense.
Pushes the football to the 30-yard line.
Shaw going up top trying to get it down for the Frasier Frasier intercloud and it's intercepted.
Good defensive work down.
Fool bias.
Isaiah leaks for the syrup makers and they come away with the turnover.
He had motive for motive for and Davis.
Both, I'm sorry, both down there and great position on this ball.
I'm sorry, it Shine makes that interception.
Doesn't yes, great coverage down downfield.
I think he thought shine was going to stay in the short route with Boudreaux and he doesn't, he keeps coming back.
Nice job to be in the right position at the right time.
Jonathan shine upon the interception for the syrup makers.
So as the First and Ten for Cairo after the pick on the ground, it's Bryant left side.
We have got to get an instrumental in this offensive mix Carol does on this play.
Brian inches ahead for about four, We got to get this ball out of there.
You don't have to score in this drive, you just got to regain some field position you lost it.
Last time when they started on that, plus 47 come up with a big interception.
Give your team a little lift, you're only down six, nothing just two field goals and you just need some offense though and create some room for your football team.
Less than six minutes remains first half?
Snacking in six setup.
Makers town at their own 7 option.
Play Bryant looking for room left side, spins his way ahead near the 17.
First down, pick up by Brian at Bel-Air.
Want to stop for the Falcons.
Well, nicely done by Antonio peas, each threatens a defensive end cross and then pitches off late.
Nice pitch out in the linebacker.
The middle linebacker Harrison.
I think he has a shot at him little little bit of a wiggle out of brand.
I thought, mostly just the power running north-south.
Know, he's got a little bit of a wiggle to it.
Almost shake and bake them.
Yes.
First and Ten from the 17.
It's Brian again, trying to turn the corner.
He does got it up to the 25 yard line, a couple of yards shy of the first down marker, senior, Greg Palmer and understand Op a good run by Reginald Bryant's being the since he's getting a little more acclimated here at Jeff.
He is once again a nice hole up the middle, nice blocking by black and I'm Sorry by Todd and Keller.
And Clark the inside, 34 Cairo and there's a little bit of holder, he doesn't like it, Charles he bounces it outside and he runs away from crosses tackle.
Nice job.
Parenting stuff are 12 plays for the syrup makers.
35 yards to first down for the Falcons.
Those very impressive.
Plays 118 yards already gotten on first downs.
In this first half on the ground, working it up.
That's looks like up enough for the first down.
It was Wooten on the carry for the syrup makers.
Michael Young, making the stop for the Falcons.
Measurement.
Here should have more on that, they're running the inside trap and get the Trap completed Trapper.
The Trap, he made the tackle for the Trapper missed it.
Penetrating defensive lines, the Trap is one of the great plays in football, you can run it inside it against a defensive tackle.
A little quick between the center and the guard or else against the defensive end up front upfront.
Rushing defensive ends like a drumming and cross.
First down, pick up on the play by Wooten but his first Carry of the ball game.
Although, the offensive numbers heavily favoring the Falcons as far as first half, Sarah, make a still only trailing by six points.
They got to feel good there in this game they've come out from the shadow.
Their goal post with two first downs in a row.
From the 27th.
Wooten works at left side now back to the inside and got it near the 35.
Drummond makes to stop for the Falcons and the wound comes up.
Hobbling the setup Lakers bench.
Great block out there on Ely on the cornerback.
I didn't catch the wide receivers number though, but just a nice block of taken down Dooley on who's on the right corner, back and springing free for to make sure you already got a quick shot of work being done on that, the sidelines.
Second down and three piece looking in fires.
Got a man just made do they say it's incomplete layout for it was the way nice.
Mmm.
Frasier, put the head on him and the football comes free.
Well, there's cross working against young at left tackle, young normally plays out of the backup car, they got him.
Start at left tackle today and he's trying to the leg with Coastal leg.
We had like that and cross.
Oh, pretty good move, big powerful Outside Inside.
Move a lot of pressure.
Ison, had the football momentarily, but the Knock by Frazier.
Kicked it out of there, third down and Leave from the 34.
On the ground Brian Sykes off the first tackler and got enough for the first it appears for the center of Bakers.
It is a first down, run.
Original Brian initial hit on him.
Adam, stop short of the marker.
But the senior kept going and he picks up the first.
Yeah, flowery British show Blitz early, both young and Harrison.
The two linebackers both coming stepping up and he just ran away from Harrison's tackle First and Ten now from the 39 yard line Play fake by piece pressure.
Really tries to step up raises fires.
Got a man near the 48 yard line with a sliding catch is Chris Adams the Junior.
It'll bring in a corner Blitz here.
Johnson the full-back.
Going to pick him up on the back side you can see number two that is a corner Butch from DeLeon on the backside.
Good job.
I Pisa roll it away from it by a little bit of time.
Nice, Throne completion.
13-yard catch by Chris Adams.
First and Ten from the 48-yard line under three minutes remaining.
First half.
Cairo on a drive piece rolling.
Left side raises fires through a pillock downfield but the past goes incomplete intended.
Again for Isom and ice and not able to pull it in on correction Terrell Perkins, the senior tight end down field that trip, not able to pull it in.
We've got to help the quarterback sometime, nice job by piece, buying some time.
Again, the running both linebackers through Harrison and I guess that was young also coming too.
A lot of that tonight both on running past Downs, piece does a nice job of buying time of delivering the ball.
You got to help the quarterback.
Sometime climb the ladder with it, second down and 10 after the incomplete pass quick snap piece.
After that he goes somebody got him out of Jersey and they hold on to him near the 45 yard line.
Cory Sanderson, the junior linebacker.
And on the play and Clark, had a hand on that Jersey is would not let it go.
Good block out of gainers.
Left guard.
Once again, a lot of run through by the linebackers was kind of son young and ice block the Springs him for that yardage.
But we're running talking about Flowery, Branch are running two linebackers through.
It's like a six-man Rush, almost every damn it, third down and seven.
Play action piece fires.
This time I submix to catch up there.
The 32-yard line got an eye for the syrup makers.
First down.
So I seen the senior wide out with his first catch of the football game.
We're leading receiver.
36 catches 730 yards 60 days and she writes them does a great job of driving off the cornerback young.
Really prevents a rapper presents.
A lot of cushion to allow piece to get him that ball a 45-yard cushion for the route icing First and Ten play action, peace fires down.
The 22-yard line that's enough.
It looks to be for the first down.
Palmer on the coverage for the Falcons.
Well, this is very nice.
Little bit of the play action to hold some people.
Allow that drag route to come across talking about Palmer.
Coming all the way across the field working against I'm sorry.
Palmer, making the tackle working against young coming all the way across the field.
Esther perel with the catch, the junior for the Seraph, a first intends in the 42 minutes, Peace for setting the screen on the throwback.
It's Isom got a block up front and good recovery there by that Falcon defense.
Hi.
Some inside, the 20 down to the 18 yard line, that could have been a lot worse.
Jeff, it could have is well designed play Charles, double screen.
They screened first to the back to the left, you half of the Flowery Branch defense.
The other half went over to the right side and well played by Flowery Branch.
I'm out taking on the field.
Earlier this week the Georgia Dome and the Atlanta Falcons football team.
Probably honored the GHSA with the unveiling of the Georgia High School Association, football helmet display, this expansive display includes football helmets from GHSA Affiliated, high school, football teams from around the state of Georgia.
And the display is located at the Lower Gate.
See here in the Georgia Dome.
So you be sure to check it out if you're coming to a Falcons game or make the trip down just Get out solely for the display.
Had a chance to walk and see that display earlier today.
You have to be very depressing.
I hope to get a look at it myself, you know, great, great equipment that they have nowadays for young men and the uniforms, I like a good-looking uniform.
And I like the, I like the black pants and a black Jersey.
When I was in high school, we had purple pants and purple jerseys and it was how there's a kind of like that the solid color, right?
A lot more of that nowadays.
Second down and seven.
From the 19 yard line.
Play fake for peace.
Peace.
Got a man behind the cover.
Just Bryant the football.
It was there.
He slayed it out nicely.
Well, he's caught 11 catches going into this year.
A couple 205 yards and he was in that Sprinter stance from the full-back spot.
This should have been caught.
Was a well-thrown ball.
Well, designed play.
You look like a run, all the way, nice play action and he got loose where he wanted to write down the middle of field.
That'll make a third down and seven.
We're under a minute remaining now, rolling left sides, piece pumped.
Now raises back of the end zone, Isom touchdown setup makers.
You talk about it.
Impressive drive.
We just saw one there from Cairo.
Capitalist is huge.
This is a nice job of the pump fake because he draws cross up into the air and gives each them a lot of time to get across working against that Fraser vector.
I didn't catch that it was 18 working in the secondary.
Nicely done.
Heckling dried.
That's the point after it's 97 yards.
Is that, right?
They started the three days out of the five.
Holy mackerel.
97.
What a shift in momentum.
Close to the half, very nicely.
Done by Angelo piece.
The ball fake is really what allowed him to have extra time to throw that football and a nice drag route by the way.
Nice them.
Cross the field but both quarterbacks impressive this first half I think but I'm going to give it to piece just because I think he's not working with some of the talent that Connor Shaw has some of the size and some of the talent these is doing a lot out there to create some things on his own by a little time.
And give us get as receivers, get a little bit more open.
Nice job, 15.
Play 97 yard drive off, five minutes and 47 seconds.
You don't see that very often.
That that Is impressive.
7-6 lead for the setup makers, over the Falcons now.
Godwin to kick it for Cairo.
And we'll have a run back here at this.
One coming down to Yong Yong, works of short side of the field at the 12-yard line.
Wrestled down there, Lester Harold with jr.
In on the, stop for Cairo.
But maybe we'll try a little bit of trickery here, to making this Bolton full speed there.
That try to take it up.
The sideline, never develop them.
So he saw the same thing I did because I thought I was looking for somebody about a reverse it something they come off the sidelines, but anything, but it really wasn't busting.
It could get up that side like 40 seconds.
Remaining, now for the Falcon offense, They take a couple of shots.
Downfield.
Go with Drummond instead on the ground, coming to the 15-yard line, Bryce Thornton, the senior linebacker in on the stop.
Heroes doing a nice job, defensively tackle to tackle inside running that.
They've pretty much held that in.
Check a little bit Shaw's, hurt him with around a little bit on the edges.
Her Temple doing a good job and that interior Under 10 seconds, remaining one more play before the half, but will be trodden on the carry up to the 17-yard line, and that's the final play of the first half.
It is AAA ball game Championship contest from the Georgia Dome.
Good first, half of football, Sarah Baker's leading at 76.
Phil Proctor standing by Phil.
All right, Charles coach Jonathan Sean's interception.
There were six minutes off the clock.
Take me to it, big play by him.
You know, he had good coverage.
Ball got up in the air and he made a play for the ball change, momentum of the game a little bit, it stopped.
Stopped another drive on a short field and then we had a long drive there, we executed there at the end in the half.
What about defensively you guys going to make any adjustments?
You only gave up six points.
I don't know the you know Flowery Branch is doing a great job of controlling the ball from us right now they're doing a good job.
They execute their Foods, we probably have to change a few things that we're doing up front.
We're stopping the Run game, we're not, we're not really giving we give them to up too much on the past.
So we're gonna have to change the things there and hopefully they don't execute as well as they've been doing right now.
Alright, coach, good luck to you the second half back upstairs to you guys.
Thank you Phil, thank you, Phil all good.
First half they lead at 76 over the Falcons will take a timeout and come back with the drug to the Georgia Dome for our halftime festivities.
We are back live at the Georgia, Dome, at the intermission, the Cairo Center of makers leading at 726, over the Falcons of Flowery Branch.
Great first half of football, but right now, the fans at the Georgia Dome being entertained by the Cairo.
High syrup maker band directed by Johnny Folsom drum Majors, Julia.
Julia Thornton 200 members.
Part of this band and performance tonight House of the Rising Sun and spirit of the voles.
And the second performance was broken into two halves Jump Jive and well, let's go down.
Take a listen.
Rousing performance by the syrup liquor ban and Carroll High School.
Phil Proctor standing by now with the principle of Carroll High School David McGraw refill.
All right, I'm standing here with the principal Carroll High School.
This is David Becker and David you said this was the most inspiring part of the band before me yesterday this tradition, Carroll High School, the index teach speech halftime show with the battle him and just be going on for years and it's just it's great to watch it.
The whole band is a wonderful job is Thomas is Folsom, great band.
So tell me.
How does it feel being the first year?
Principal here and you guys are here for the state finals.
I tell you it's almost overwhelming.
I got, you know, I feel like the luckiest guy in the world please.
Athletes.
We have on this team with a with the coaching staff to go with it.
It's just amazing what they've done this year.
I feel very fortunate just to be a part of it and tell me what it's been like around Cairo in the community this week.
Getting ready for this?
Wow, it's been wild.
The whole Community has been involved.
We had a big send-off for the team yesterday.
Took the whole.
All the parents came to school, went up Broad Street.
Everybody on the all the businesses around the sidewalks waving Signs and Banners, it was great.
Well, I'll tell you what, your team is doing well, and it's going to be good luck.
In the second half.
We got to go back upstairs to Charles and Jeff.
Hey guys, it's on you.
Thank you.
Phil and Coach with the principal McMurray got to be happy at this point.
Team leading it 76 over the Falcons back with more from the Georgia Dome.
After this inside.
The Georgia Dome fans being treated by the performance of the Falcon marching band and Flowery Branch High School 89, members of the band band directors.
David Weber's from Majors Laura Bozeman and Tyler Alice, the Falcon band, having the privilege of traveling to the His capital in January to participate in the ceremony, for the induction of president-elect, Barack Obama that's coming up in January.
Tonight we're performing songs from the 50s.
I like the 50's.
So let's go downtown lesson.
Falcon marching band continuing to perform here in the Georgia Dome, John Nelson standing by with the principle of Flowery Branch dr. Mark Coleman.
Thank you.
Charles here with the doctor and let's talk about what the week is been like up there at Flowery Branch first shot at a title.
What's it been like?
Well John has been very exciting this week, our community, our players and coaches went and visited some of our feeder elementary schools and our Middle School, we've had a very big pep rally as probably most schools would have Before coming to the dome but has been signs all over the community.
You know, rooting for the Falcons, hopefully hang in here and bring home, our first state championship in football.
You know, it's a seven year old school, there's a lot of growth involved.
What is that growth process has been like to get to this point today?
Well considering in 2002, our very first varsity football team went 0 and 10.
This group of seniors here, there are 42 and eight.
So we've come a long way in just seven short years, to be where we are today.
What else is going on in Flowery Branch?
You folks need to know about.
Well in 2007 Flowery Branch achieve the recognition of being a Georgia School of Excellence.
Our academic team won the region this year and our boys cross country team and girls cross country team were region Champs and our boys captured.
Our first athletic state championship, by winning the cross country, boys, state championship dr.
Bowman.
Thanks for your time when send it back upstairs for halftime highlights and stats.
Thank you.
John 7-6 lead for the syrup makers, over the Falcons of Flowery Branch.
This first half, some of the highlights from the first half, some exciting stuff, and we'll take a look at some of those right now.
Start it out with the Falcons on their first drive of the game quarterback.
Connor Shaw scrambling right side for a pickup there and then raises an in the air.
He finds Roderick young Rodney Young on the grab downfield and this time on the ground and staniel Drummond, getting into that, I got it down near the goal, line on that run, they settled for a 21.
Yard field goal by Billy Thompson, to take the early three nothing lead.
That was the first drive of the Ballgame Falcons coming back with Rodney Young on another.
Grab, getting the football down field for the Falcons.
This drive resulting in a 44-yard field goal by Billy Thompson, six points for the Falcons, in that first half, and then probably the biggest play of the first half going deep.
This one is intercepted by Jonathan Shine for the syrup makers, and then, they go to work on the ground original Ryan.
What's some Running Room left side and then this Cap Drive for the syrup makers in the endzone?
A 19 yard strike from piece to the way nice and for the 7-6 lead for the syrup makers.
Jeff first, half stats.
Well it really even dad is the half went on Charles.
You can see the Flowery Branch.
They came out running and they have little decided advantage in the running game but you've Cairo credit they came back throwing the football, pretty even stats across the board.
Both teams converting third down at a good clip to third 66 percent, 60 percent penalties, have heard Cairo a little bit.
For the most part flyer branch has been free in the X position about the same.
The big play, the interception you just pointed out, I think more than anything.
And then the 97 car driver John Nelson standing by at Phil, oh Nelly, that drive that 97 yard Drive defense was holding them up to that point in the first half.
Yeah, you know, we've had some opportunities, they put the ball on the ground several times.
We just couldn't get on it.
Defense been playing good, and then we gave him some life there towards the end, and they completed some big balls.
Hopefully our past coverage be better.
And our past rush will be able to contain him a little better.
We let him get on the edge and make some plays and he's a playmaker offensively really quickly your games, getting down there.
But Cairo defense is stepping up a big time.
They are and we're doing pretty good job eating the clock to, you know, that was our game plan and we're still coming away with points.
We got to every time come down there and get points on the board.
Hopefully we can get some touchdowns as half.
For your time coach, send it back upstairs to Charles and Jeff thank you.
John coach y'all talking about what they got to do the Falcons in the second half.
They Trail x 76 to the center because of Cairo.
Back with a third.
After this back, live in the Georgia Dome.
We go to the third quarter of the AAA Championship contest for app makers at a low leading at, as we get set to start the third 76 or the Falcons of Flowery Branch.
The setup Acres will have the football to start the second half as you take a look at some of the fans and Flowery Branch here inside the Georgia Dome, 76 football game.
First half fans are excited.
This one could go either way, Billy Thompson, with the two field goals in the first half.
For Flowery Branch kicks it away, deep, kick by Thompson.
No, run back on this one.
Jack, we heard coach Shaw just before the start of this third quarter recognizing they had a couple of opportunities in the first half of the Falcons, just will not able to seize a couple of footballs put on a carpet here, they were not able to cover, but at the end of that first half, it was Angelo piece.
That created a lot of chaos for the Falcons.
Well, I think the two phones they didn't get, yes, he mentioned it.
He's hoping that he does get some of those turnovers this half and they recovered.
But that interception the biggest key in the game so far.
And Having a drive and also igniting one.
He's six of nine in the air in the first half.
There's no on the ground and start the second Bryant works.
It left side, shakes off one would-be tackler.
Now he's free.
It's a hook race riot inside of the 40 down to the 37 in the momentum continues for the syrup makers.
Starting this third quarter.
Charles, there's just a great run.
I mean, this is the third time.
We've seen him do that in this game, he's where they start up the middle and he bounces, it outside wasn't known that way.
He was a north-south type Runner.
This is just a great individual individual ever by Reginald.
Bryan, getting away from the tackle and Palmer, I didn't see.
Was that Rodriguez number 24, just a great individual effort.
Let's go missed on it as well if you can, please.
Sorry.
53-yard run by Bryant wins.
Either after that, at 90 yards on the game, thus far, First and Ten from the 37 piece ready to go to work up top-notch backside pressure?
They got us a car.
Then Clark the senior heavy Pursuit and puts piece down.
Then Clark Bible, Evan 250 goes both ways.
Nice swim move on the left guard.
Does a nice job that's Grant working against granny?
Does a arm over swim move and he's not real tall.
He's only about 6 foot as I said very nicely.
Done, Clark coming up the middle for the sack loss of eight.
Down at 18, the ball push back.
Now to the 45-yard line Extended eye behind piece, play fake up top past but he overthrown is intended, downfield for John Holt.
Frazier on the coverage for the Falcons a little bit overthrown.
Third down and 5018.
First drive of the third quarter.
Peace looking left.
Now fires, across the middle icing, took a hard shot, near the 31-yard line but he holds onto it.
This is impressive Charles, I mean he makes this play, he Ducks away from the rush of money.
Cross crosses going to nice little swim move on himself.
These are very professional moves by these defensive lineman swimming inside on the left tackle.
And then piece, feels it moves left.
Bingo completion.
I some the see your white out with a good grab at the Iraqi hit here, the 32 fourth down and have a so five to go for the first.
Peace with a football pumps.
Will try to run for it himself.
He won't get it.
They'll card in the back where the 35 blistering hit by Michael Young, the senior linebacker.
Well, he's out of coverage, Michael Young and then reacts to the scramble By Angelo.
piece, this is just a rally around the ball, boys, and they do young, is that covering in a flat comes back in?
Nice job.
I'm on across staying after it, and the youngest comes in and takes.
He's off his feet hard hit by yoga Falcons, take over the football.
From their own 36, yard line.
On the ground Drummond fight free past the 45, or just at the 45 is where they'll Markham.
Kenzie and on to stop for the syrup makers.
Both teams.
You can feel it.
Jeff trying to steal this momentum from the Georgia Dome.
You're right.
And they have a little bit talking about Flowery Branch.
They made that that run off tackle work for the first time Drummond again.
Hit behind the line of scrimmage on a second effort Drummond able to run it for the first down for the Falcons.
But we seen Bennett Logan been at number four, left defensive and we've also seen Tyrell Perkins 81 the right depends on a lot of crashing.
It's like they're looking for that inside belly.
Play of the inside, handoff to the full-back off, the edge of they've been crashing their hands a lot, could be something open outside.
Shotgun for Shaw, fakes and Alana drum rolling right side.
Now, he'll have to run chased out of bounds may have gotten a yard Logan Bennett doing the chasing for the Seraph makers.
Well, that's good recognition by Logan.
Betty get off the block of the guy.
The tackles blocking you get off of his flock.
Here comes the quarterback, let me get after him, get some help from Thornton the linebacker.
Second and ten foot ball at the 47 yard line shawl to drummin drummin right side, first down and more.
Harry to the 36, yard line, Logan dead at made to stop for Cairo, but Daniel Grumman with a 17-yard run, for the Falcons, both sit, inside trap and drum.
Decide to Take It Outside.
Lipscomb, Chris Lipscomb number, 24 downfield, blocking.
On the cornerback, I didn't catch that number might have been shine or Dave.
Vez shine, I think nice block Ramen again.
This time to the right side.
May have gotten the back to the line of scrimmage Bryce Thornton in on the stop for the Seraph Bakers.
It'll be second down and ten shoot those those big gap.
You're going to split your linemen out two or three feet isolate them.
Like, yet Thornton 59, 175 very quick.
Not very big for an inside linebacker, but he shot the Gap made the play.
Second, and ten.
Oh hi snap over the head of Shah.
He Dives on it near the 48-yard line.
Good Pursuit up front by the syrup makers and welcomes almost with a costly turnover there.
You're right.
I think Connor Shaw was going to come up to the line of scrimmage to change the play out of shotgun and and Austin.
Todd, the center didn't recognize it and let it go.
That's one on him.
Maybe.
third down and 20 now after the miscue, Three receivers at the bottom of your screen rolling.
That way, Michelle raises backside pressure.
Now, he'll fire downfield, jump ball in the past goes incomplete, good defensive coverage.
Downfield by Marcus Davis to senior this is a single out pattern.
Connor Shaw little rolling to his left just a one-man out young coming.
Way across the field from the other side.
This is well covered.
As you just said, I'm Marcus Davis and the downfield for Rodney young.
That'll make it fourth down.
Now Falcons to put it away.
Kick by will Monday.
Oz near the 17-yard line are actually out near the 22. but time out here in third quarter, 7-6 lead for the syrup makers, over the Falcons back after this We are back live inside.
The Georgia Dome coming up after this football game here in the Georgia Dome, it'll be the Lions of Peachtree Ridge at 12 and to meeting the Wildcats of Camden County who are perfect, 14 and 0 in the 5A championship ball game, coming your way, live on GPB, I'm sure to stick around to watch that one.
All cats trying to complete a perfect 15 and old season under Coach.
Jeff Heron, but Peachtree Ridge, fine job as well as they make it to the championship ball game.
76, your score here in this AAA Championship contest.
Six minutes, 42 seconds.
Remaining in the third quarter, Sarah makers of Cairo with a football from their own 22-yard line.
High snap.
Appease handles looking for Runa.
Leaves one would be tackle.
There he goes.
Please.
Can they get him though?
They can.
Touchdown Center flavors.
What a beautiful play.
What?
Just a great individual effort by Angela piece but the block of the center Palmer, his responsibilities middle linebacker.
He's trying to get to watch his block that he puts on Harrison or Sanderson.
Excuse me, just a great block and just a great way to pick your whole Angelo piece and then you're gone 79 yard touchdown, run by piece.
now, with the point after My gayness and that is good.
Sarah Baker's, lead it 14-6.
Credible, run by Angelo piece Palmer, with a nice seal block, at the line of scrimmage actually sitting on his man after the block, but you gotta give you should have just given credit to.
I don't know if it was Gainer a brown on that side of a flip-flop and Grant young but nice job by the whole line but Palmer's was the key block got picked off going for the middle linebacker stayed after his block broken by the Hulk has Sanderson.
Sit in the whole said I'm going to make this stop and then also Homer, just engulfing Angelo piece.
Takes it 79 yards.
Syrup makers extend their lead?
Got a game.
Had a tight game.
One play game.
Nothing like it right?
Rose been coming on and even coming on since that second quarter he's right.
You have you mentioned that even at halftime?
Sarah makers to kick it away, with a 14-6 lead Bedouin with the Keck short side of the field return by Rodney young.
He's chased out of bounds near the 28 yard line.
Phil Proctor down at fill level.
Fill Charles you want to know how important Angelo pieces to the team the night before their semifinal game.
He was in a Christmas parade on his way home.
He was in a minor car accident they took him to the hospital, he was fine.
But coach said within five minutes the entire team had showed up.
He says this team has closed and I tell you what, we just saw.
Nobody got a piece of Angelo.
Thank you.
Phil.
And indeed, they did not total yards by half Cairo already surpassing our first half effort, but 123 that's far in the second half only 18 for Flowery Branch.
But Shaw trying to do something about that.
A long aerial downfield.
Touchdown Falcons.
This place is erupting.
The Georgia Dome.
Look at the beautiful pass from Shaw in stride.
Chris Lipscomb.
72-yard touchdown pass.
You make your big play, we come back and make art indeed motion by Frazier.
They hope to get isolation on this backside man-for-man.
They did was shine just a very well thrown ball Shaw through a 74-yard touchdown pass in the semi-finals.
This one goes for 72.
They'll go for to hear Shaw left side.
Back of the end zone.
They convert, catch is made by Rodriguez Fraser.
The Junior.
Just like that, we're Todd.
Nice ball game.
Look at the two point conversion, back of the end zone, beautifully thrown Ball by Connor Shaw.
Little bit of a busted coverage, way too wide.
Open my oh my Jeff.
We used to call that trading rocks.
Right answer.
Hey, will answer you.
Two big plays in the last minute here, from both teams.
A big run by peas.
And now the big long pass play well as well.
Throw the ball.
Indeed, it was Perfectly promise.
That really got the crowd, Iraq again.
Thompson to kick.
Deep kick by Thompson.
It'll go in the end zone.
Both teams would find kickers Trying to minimize a special teams effort as much as they can.
And certainly have done it on the kickoffs.
Yeah, that's a, that's a great weapon.
They continue to 80 yards kicking that ball in the end zone.
I'm not much on directional kicking, I like to see it in the end zone.
Every time piece 7 of 11 or 72 yards.
One touchdown 54 yards on the ground on 6, carries with one touch.
On there as well.
Understanding this trip Bryant left side, tripped up at the line of scrimmage.
Michael Young able to trip up.
Original Bryant gets, first time, they've been able to stop that play original Branch run that three times right at Cross 44, and they've been able to bounce it inside and I mean, run it inside, and it bounce it out.
This time, young does a great job of scraping around that end.
That went for three yards, so it's second and seven.
Now for the surf Acres, Play fake by piece, fires through it high and over the head of intend to put away, nice, mmm, third and seven football at the 23 yard line.
Slot is at the bottom of your screen as PC settings under Center.
Play action rolling.
Here comes the pressure about a Hopkins and they get a sack on.
Daniel Drummond, got it, goes both ways to the Falcons hurting them on defense.
This time, nice reading reaction by Drummond and I gotta block him.
They're hoping to get sucked into the inside closes down.
He doesn't very alert, very aware.
He made that play Early in the, in the game on a screen with awareness here, he is very aware again for that SEC.
Common 64 tackles on the season 15 of those Colossus along with eight sacks.
Eric good one.
Now, God went on the way to punt it away.
They were coming after it but God wouldn't got it airborne.
Bounces near the 49 and takes a roll up field Falcons will have the football good field position starting from their own 49-yard line.
Under five minutes remaining in the third quarter, we caught up with Coach Lee part of the Ballgame.
He coached both his sons at Flowery Branch jaybo.
Now at Georgia Tech Connor playing for now, here are some of his thoughts about coaching them.
It's been an awesome experience.
I didn't know how it was going to be at first.
I never coached him in rec ball and I did a lot of coaching at the house and I contacted several guys that have coached their sons and to seek advice because I'd heard horror stories about coaching your own sun and then the sun saying that I wish I didn't play for my dad and so we tried to keep the perspective there and just treat them as Fair as possible.
And the but it has been a blessing So now I'm a blessed man to know that I was able to coach my son's and be a Difference Maker in their lives on Friday night.
Coach.
Sean commenting about the two sons playing under him at Flowery Branch Connor.
The younger now playing with the program jabil at Georgia Tech.
I asked was caught behind the line and stop has made defensively that syrup.
Make a defense, third down and 11.
Well, you got that short, feel you wanted to take advantage of it.
Nice play that time, those Fulton the linebacker and Jones.
I think the corner back and read debts that bubble screen coming inside slow to develop.
They were there.
I got third and 11.
Now 326 remaining third quarter Shaw looking upfield and flags coming in.
Before that play, is able to get started.
All starts off and replace 3, so Movement by the offense of the Falcons, pushes them back five.
Line of scrimmage.
Now, the 43.
Third down, 16.
Shawl will keep it and he's nailed behind the line of scrimmage.
Corral Perkins to senior on the stop for the syrup makers, forcing a fourth down and run a quarterback draw hoping that the motion across maybe loosen the linebackers up, but you can't turn loose the outside guys, you got to get them.
You can't just brush block.
If you're gonna have to stay with a Tyrell Perkins or when the other side Bennett they really been crashing in.
Reginald, Brian stands deep at the 25-yard line.
Waiting will Monday's kick?
High kick fair, catch called, for at the 28 yard line.
It was Duane Isom back to receive that kick for the syrup makers.
So Angelo piece of the offense for Cairo, back on the football field.
Allah in his sixth season at Cairo.
I'm buying for its third State title, right now, locking horns, with the Falcons of we're tied at 14.
228 remains in the third quarter piece.
Brian with the handoff hit near the 34, but fights off that would-be tackler.
The got it up near the 36.
Greg Palmer making the final stop on Reginald Bryant that comes after a seven yard Scamper by Brian.
What's inside?
Running play.
Nice.
Push on the left side, just in some of the center, double teaming with Gainer, the guard on big, Kevin Keith and we're going to nice.
Push up the middle.
Good.
Run.
Less than two minutes remaining in the third.
Now second and three for Cairo.
Bryant up the gut.
And he lost the football, they're going to rule him down near the 37-yard line just kind of ran into the pack there Jeff and never came out of there.
Well he stiffened up.
We got a little a little tighter in there.
Therefore mention Keith, and then Ben Clark.
Then Clark going both ways.
And we've got a little tight, run it in there.
You will see your defensive lineman for the Falcons.
All the other Shore hit.
Third down and a short one for Cairo.
Peace and shotgun.
Snap you'll go left side.
He's got enough for the first down.
Still on his feet.
Now he's fighting his way near Midfield down to the 49 yard line.
Just inside a falcon territory Frazier, and Clark combined under staff for Flowery Branch.
But a good second effort By Angelo piece pushes that football across the Midfield stripe.
Heroes take it over field position again, Flowery Branch in a nice field position in the plus 49 didn't do anything with it, lost a little yardage.
Now Kayla is back controlling through everything.
Bryant going to try it right side this time and knocked down near the 48.
Daniel Drummond coming up from under that pile for the Falcons with a stop.
Inside trap, just grant left to right.
He's got a block, drumming, drumming does a nice job drums.
An impressive defensive player, I'm seeing him, a lot of, you know, that almost 1,000 yards, rushing out of him tonight, but we've seen them defense and took on the Trap block very well.
And then made the tackle Ramen already verbally committed to Georgia Tech, and that brings us to the end of the third quarter.
At the end of three were right back where we started from when Todd at 14 apiece.
Syrup makers and Falcons back with the fourth after this.
We get set to start the fourth quarter in the AAA championship ball game here, from the Georgia Dome, 14 to 14 as we do, Sarah makers and Falcons tide.
Syrup makers with the football.
hero with 175 yards on the ground, Flowery Branch with 130 both teams right around 75 yards, passing the football on the ground near the 40 yard line, Carrie By Angelo piece.
Greg Palmer on the stop for the Falcons.
But we thought original Bryant coming into tonight's game and he's been effective, he's had some effect of runs but it's been Angelo piece and I thought what to the one passing and run for like 500 yards on the year and so you know they just keep it honest but he has been the big difference maker with his running ability and to scoring ability to me mostly running third down and 1 for the center of makers of payroll.
On the ground Bryant got past the first level up near the 30 yard line and that's enough for the first down.
Lipscomb, mix to stop carry that time by Ronnie.
Woo for the syrup makers, a little inside trap right up behind the the center Palmer nicely executed.
Good hard running by.
Whoa.
First, and Ten.
The 31.
Peace on the ground.
This time it's Bryant with the carry and Brian with a pickup of to Heaven keeps on the stop for the Falcons.
Second consecutive final appearance for the syrup makers.
Last year a loss to eventual Champions Tigers of Carver Columbus and a tight ballgame 16 213.
Avenge that loss to the Tigers in the semi-finals last week as you look at Brian on the night over Yards on 13 carries.
I forgot that long run in the head.
What was where he broke away down that sideline?
Second down and eight piece.
Surveys fires through it in traffic, that he come down with the catch.
Yes.
they say, the catches me down near the All they're going to wave it off yet.
Replay.
That's only for us at the booth.
That's a great effort.
I'm, he's under pressure, nice, rust by Drummond and that's Jamie Wilcox.
James Wilcox.
After I thought he had it, let's see the finalists it's rare that the officials make a bad call and they do not on that when they were dead on top of yeah, good call, good call.
James is trying to convince them though.
You had tried to sell it but that right off the ground, good job.
And all seven remains in this football game, third down and eight for Cairo.
Peace, will try to keep it looking for a block, scoots back to the inside and rolls this way down near the 24.
Sanderson makes to stop for Flowery Branch piece.
Coming up a little slow there Jeff.
Well, they're trying to put somebody's on it and good strategy because he has been going to play maker, but it went forward earlier on fourth down, did not get it and they're looking at the thinking about it right now, Charles just like he's going to call timeout, timeout taken on the field.
We need viewers like you to help support the live broadcast of these games.
You can show your support by becoming a member of Georgia, public television, simply by calling one of the numbers on your screen or you can visit our website at gpb.org and thanks so much for supporting Georgia Public Broadcasting.
Hope you have enjoyed our coverage here from the Georgia Dome yesterday.
And today, one more Championship football game coming your way after this one time off situation here in the fourth quarter syrup makers.
With two mating Flowery Branch with three Flowery Branch.
Really an interesting story.
Jeff in the playoffs, they played their first round on the road and every ball game after that, they were on the road and that's a tougher task to get to the Georgia Dome when you're playing for weekends of football on.
Road when the playoffs?
Well they've been a good road team at and I read where they were good rain team to a couple of those games played in inclement weather.
They felt like a big Power running game.
They had really fair them.
Well, it never want to stay title nor a region title.
But here in the finals, this year against their, a fakers, a payroll who have the football facing a fourth down and three at the 24 yard line.
On the ground, left side running.
It will depend on the mark, very close Carrie by Ronnie.
Wooten for the syrup makers, going to be hair short.
Well, no, I take it back and get this very, very close.
Try to get Flowery Branch split out a little bit by bringing Iseman motion back to the wide side of the field in the slot.
They look like they're in a passing formation to backs like like you're looking for Max protection back there.
Officials will bring on bring on the chains here in the Georgia, Dome running bed up here, in the booth with statistician my crimes as to whether well, if you know you got it, I got a bet.
I'm in my angle tells me, I think that balls past that yard strike.
That's what I see as well.
Jeff, but you wear glasses and I should but we right look how tight that is.
This is an inch short for a first for an inch maybe floor first down that much.
Yes.
Tight.
So the syrup makers get exactly what they need on that play and nothing more.
They're Scrappy.
No, care was a scrappy team, that's a good word for, they are not as big, their senior Laden, but they've got speed and they fly around to the ball offense and defense and they're very Scrappy.
Had a look at coach Shaw.
He was not happy about the spot on that one at all, we've reset the clock.
12.
Well, yeah, I'd like that, that human element in it.
I mean, I anybody they keep suggesting these lasers.
They could set up all around the country and all they get into that.
I think I'll turn the game off.
I'm not interested to high-tech.
Yeah, precise measurement.
If it's just part of the game and good officiating, these are very dedicated people that people are getting into efficient easy, have an athletic background.
The reset, the clock is 2912.
And now it's running First and Ten for the from the 21 for the syrup makers.
Right side Wootton with the carry Wootton down near the 18 yard line.
Correction on that Carrie was Reginald Bryant for the Sierra.
Fakers getting a lot of this tonight.
As they like to pull the left guard, Brian Gainer pulling left to right.
He's 6 foot about 2:15 and And run inside and allow Bryant maybe to stay inside or bounce it out.
He's done both tonight.
Second down and six.
He's from the 17th pumps.
Once goes down a little feel that a man their pets down.
In The End Zone, it was James Wilcox, the Savior.
It was the pump Charles, it was the pump, you were former DB, you know it.
I guess that's Palmer at free safety or right in the middle of field.
Doesn't react to the ball at all Frasier, man, for man, I think, and the pump, he just freeze him wide open, 17-yard strike the Wilcox ganesan.
Now, with the point, After and gayness is good.
Syrup makers, extend our Take the Lead again, 21-14 over the Falcons.
He's with the pump right there, kind of freezing, everybody, and that allowed Wilcox to get to step on our three guys, Fraser Nicely done.
That's a boot.
Call somebody up there in the booth waiting to set that play up waiting for it.
Well play 71 yard scoring drive six minutes and 13 seconds.
Yeah they've had some big drives tonight talking about Cairo since that first quarter on come on fuel by big plays.
Obviously the big run by Angelo piece and also by Reginald Bryant but they've had some let 97 yard Drive, you're not going to see very many of those.
You get all the ask for there, they get the points and they run time off the clock.
Well, Larry Branch had that short field and couldn't do anything with it, and then they don't get the great Punt and it's not a short field, but it's supposed to the 30, I guess, where there's, which is 71 29 yard line.
So you're out, you're not backed up and you had a pretty good starting point and they took advantage of it.
Set up makers with a seven-point lead vying for this thirds title.
God went with the kick, we will have a return here young with the footballs got putting a Roomba flag Tuscan near the 35 young snatched out of bounds near the 48 but let's check the flag.
It was a crushing block down around the 25 and I don't know if that was a clip.
I think it's going to fit official further back, call something.
I don't know if he could have called a clip on that but it was a crushing block early on.
Look to see where they take it for him holding call.
So that wasn't a clip of the so it's further up the field today.
Somebody help almost at the spot of their return.
8:07 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Number 6, running off and on lock deal.
Was he about 10 years old ball?
Boy tonight.
What a great thrill for him in its state championship game at young age.
But the okocha sound or something.
Shaw on the night of 12 130 yards, 1 TD and one pick On the ground spinning is cross cross.
Maybe to the 15.
That would be the initial line of scrimmage not much on that play at all.
Perkins on the stop for the cereth Acres.
Well, dig Elkins shut.
The Gap outside linebacker and disrupted at play.
Here was done a good job of containing a very powerful Run game.
Falcons have been no-huddle all game long?
2nd down and 10.
Play fake Shaw.
Now, pressure from the back side, they got a sack on it.
Perkins, once again with the pursuit for the syrup makers, gets Shaw behind the line of scrimmage.
There have been past the double pass protection, to these, get defensive industrial Perkins.
They're turning them loose too much.
It's not Perkins.
It's a four.
On the other side Bennett, Logan Bennett.
What does it take?
A close look at them.
They're really come up to here.
The inside, guys, aren't applying a lot of pressure, third down and 13 Shaw, here comes the outside pressure.
They dump it down low and mailed.
In his tracks is Imani cross.
Wicked stick by Jake Elkins the senior linebacker for the syrup Baker's Crosse is getting up slow.
Maybe the execution of the old line don't ever let color, another colors.
Jersey cross your face, great recognition by Elkins, give him credit, it's two plays.
He's made in this series and he is coming after the ball care that, you know, Lyman.
When you're setting a screen up, don't let opposite color across your face.
You got a latch onto them.
Elkins all in the face of Imani.
Cross on that hit.
That'll Force the fourth down and a punt.
Will Monday standing in the end zone?
Snap is low.
He will get it away though.
Good kick.
I will Monday backpedaling.
Deep isil, having trouble handling it.
Now picks it up and got it back to the 49 yard line.
Cory Sanderson on the stop for the Falcons, 49-yard punt, by will Monday.
We caught up with Coach panel of Cairo to get his thoughts about what he likes about coaching and here are his thoughts.
Now, The relationships I guess that you build the fact that I guess everything that great that happens is usually accomplished together.
And you know the fact that you kind of are in control of get that to happen, you know?
You you form special relationship, special bonds and you work your butts off.
And you know when things go your way, it's, it's satisfied, you know?
Because it's not just on the football field, it's also in the classroom in the community and, you know, I feel like we got a good group and a good group of coaches.
That have done that and it's very rewarding on the carry for the syrup makers to Angelo peace coach for law in his sixth.
Season at Cairo Flowery Branch needs to play now, they need to make a play on their defense.
Oh, stop and play there.
Only one were only one play down.
Really 2114 is still a very tight close game and you don't have any position in the can't let them control the ball.
All and drive on you.
Five minutes.
29 seconds left in this AAA contest from the Georgia Dome.
Syrup makers of Cairo, leading it by 7.
They have the football at the 45 yard line of the Falcons.
Second down and six.
Peace with a snap.
Gives it right side flyer.
Ryan, get open field tackle.
Sidney cheeks.
Right.
Nice job first time.
We've called his name tonight, huh?
Jim for Sanderson on this curve.
Sanderson's her for the middle linebacker.
Sydney cheeks.
Good, read and recognition and a solid tackle.
As you launch you.
Jeff Here Comes Anderson back on the field.
Third down and three.
Gotta be a Good Feeling by cheeks.
Do to be pulled out of the gayest, not doing something wrong and get snacks down and got to be excited about the big flavors defense.
And a timeout taken by the syrup makers.
Before this third down, and three play with four minutes, 35 seconds left in the Ballgame zero makers on a 13 game.
Win streak 12 region titles to their credit.
Fine.
For the third state title this year.
Many of the players participating in these GHSA championships will be playing in the annual Georgia, Athletic, coaches, associations, north-south, All-Star Game.
This will be your last chance to see some of Georgia Senior football standouts in high school competition.
This event will take place on Monday, December 29th at Memorial Stadium in Columbus.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
So Monday afternoon football on the 29th.
Not a bad way to spend some money Christmas holidays, everybody be home.
And I like football around Christmas time in New, York's, a bowl season.
Tell who?
What?
Yes, third and three.
After the timeout, Peace, fakes it, he'll keep it himself right side.
First down, run down to the 37.
David Dooley on the senior linebacker on the stop for Flowery Branch.
Larry British knew who was going to get that ball at time and still unable to defense it.
But keeping with the first down the clock, going to become an enemy, the feet field position is certainly an enemy.
Look at peace on the evening, a 2-14 in the air for 94 yards to TD's on the ground, 85 yards on 12, retches retches, and one touchdown there as well.
So, the all-purpose yardage for Angelo peace?
Nice job running this offense Trump.
He was a highlight player we featured in the pregame show and has lived up to that billing.
Well, taught, well, coached, We made those two early mistakes.
They had the ball on the ground, a couple of times.
Flowery Branch not able to come up with, that's all in the first quarter, the early part of the first quarter since then it's second quarter on they have been very effective with the wrong folks.
First and Ten from the 36.
On the ground, slashing is Brian Brian.
Carrying a couple of would-be tacklers, inside of the 25 down to the 23.
Greg Palmer, finally pulls him down.
Yeomans effort there by original, Brian, see the replay?
And he's everything, they cranked up to be to the hard man to bring down 1700 yards.
Rushing, and receiving this year, seventy three touchdowns in his high school, career path.
Garrison.
Hearst a couple of weeks ago, that's pretty heavy company right there.
Did you ride on a night, 124 yards, for Bryant the senior running back up the gut.
Let's Brian again.
Spinning his way down near the 11, will put them down at the 12 Frasier on its top and that will come after original.
Brian runs it with the syrup, make a first down.
11-yard pickup on the play timeout taken on the field.
This one taken by the Falcons of Flowery Branch and they are definitely really right now.
Jeff, they need a timeout.
335 remains in the football game.
We talked to Coach Lee Shaw, a Flowery Branch and earlier about his thoughts on what he likes about coaching and here's what he had to say.
Been a Difference Maker, that's why I got into it is coaches, have have had their success as they played if you check your ego and put the wins and losses aside and you're trying to make a difference.
The lives of teenagers that comes back tenfold.
And one day, when these guys come back and they look at me and say coach I appreciate you you know that's why I got in the business of coaches, be a Difference Maker coach Shaw, the only coach in the history of Flowery Branch football program opened in 2002.
He seen this program Go from, it's very infant stages to appearing, here in the Georgia, Dome, for the championship, in very short order First and Ten from the 12th, On the ground Bryant right side slashes his way near the 5 and finally gang tackled bounced out near the six.
Greg Palmer with a hit on Bryant.
Once again it's a boom area here in North Atlanta above Buford.
And before Gainesville lot of building, a lot of homes, out of schools, the Mall of Georgia.
Flowery.
Branch a nice community.
So nice to build a program from right from the start.
It was done a done a wonderful job out there.
Albums vying to become the first team from Hall County to win a GHSA title Bainbridge.
Beat Gainesville in 82.
The only other Hall County team got appeared and championship ball game.
He's going to go option.
Left side.
He'll keep it himself works his way down near the 2-yard line.
Well, I've got a they got to have a stop here.
I mean they it's just a have been able to stop.
It was a short field and they've been playing with a short field that's where they got that last touchdown out of they have to have a stop time.
I'll take it on the field Falcons.
Take another 236 remains.
One timeout left.
Clock is your enemy and certainly the field position is but you got to keep him out for some into a field goal although they've shown a propensity for going for it on fourth down.
L Wonder for 2 tonight the one final comment on Lee Shaw and building that program at flowery Ranch, turn down the job three times.
Before we actually took it.
Wow, for some earlier today, here in the Georgia Dome, it was Buford are yesterday, Buford over Calhoun, 45 to 21 to win the double a championship.
And last night in the finale, it was Tucker over marriage to 15 to 34, the 4A championship ball game.
And then earlier today here on GPB, you saw Wesleyan defeat ECI 33 to 21 in Wesleyan.
Defeating the defending state champs and coming up are for this ball game.
It is the 5A Championship Peachtree, Ridge and the Wildcats of Camden County that one on your way as well on GPB third down and one Peace On The Ground.
Brian spends that he get in.
Yes he does Touchdown 3 yard run by original Bryant and why not working hard on that drive for the cigarette makers.
I'm going to single him out a little bit.
That 50 50 left guard.
Anthony Brown senior, you must.
He's run this play.
At least he's pulled left to right.
I don't know, he doesn't, he doesn't do a lot there, but I mean, I'm telling you that he's run this play at least 10 times tonight, When after is good.
Sarah Baker's lead it now twenty eight to 14 after the 3rd run right side by original Bryant.
Following that block of Anthony Brown to senior, are able to push it in and to make it a two-touchdown lead.
Scoring drive for the syrup makers.
8 please 49 yards three minutes and 31 seconds.
Original Bryant cabining out, capping it off with three yard run.
I'm big on field position.
You know I think the most important part of the landscape of the field is the line of scrimmage.
Whoever wins that, usually wins a game offense and defense but I put it where you get the ball, I have no problem with coaches playing for field position.
I think it's the biggest, it's the Unknown Stat or figure in football.
It's just so important what you do with it when you have it, what you do when you don't Bryant 145 yards on the night of the touchdown, run their 43 yards away.
Garrett God will now the senior kicker on to kick it away, Falcons got to make something happen return.
My young filter that to ten short side of the field.
He goes past the first wave and got it up near the 36 yard line for ice torque that they can call frequently tonight for the syrup makers in on the Special Teams.
Stop.
I'm going to have to go the passive attack something quick.
Well, I don't want it all in one gulp.
You're not going to get it all in one, go for sure.
Although they did earlier, but you're not going to get it, they're going to, they're going to be deep, they're going to be a little soft, a little.
The feel is usually where you want a, pro/con, a shawl, a setup shotgun for receivers down at the bottom of your screen.
Throwback are fake, throw back that way, Sean a keep it hid behind the line of scrimmage, and a wrapped-up finally, good defensive work by Monta Vias Williams, to put the stop on Shaw, loss of two on the play.
From the 36 seconds.
Boom, 12 Pressure at the corner of Shaw and I got another sack on it.
This time, it's Logan Bennett and it has been an arch nemesis for the Falcons all night long.
There makes the sack on Connor Shaw, Shaw at the 34, they're not real big.
Those two defensive ends, real Perkins, 81 and Logan benefit both about 61-62 2005.
But they're extremely quick, and they are playing them very wide.
Tough for the tackle to get out in front of them are really cut the angle down, time out on the football field.
A minute 41 seconds, remaining saurabh Lakers by two touchdowns winners of the State title in 1990 would be worth County 37 to 28, and in 1946, they won the class B, Championship beating Rock Mark, beat the yellow jackets.
4219 Press the class, B classification eliminated in 1978 the GHSA.
So this would be the third title for the syrup makers, if they can.
Hold on here, Third down and 15 for the Falcons, Shaw ranges, right side, raises fires and a lot of traffic down field.
This one's going to be picked off.
It was picked off by Guess Who Angelo piece black playing secondary with a sip of makers.
He can do it all.
I'm gonna head.
Oh man.
Wow.
What a way to cap things off or Angelo piece.
A lot of pressure again once again Bennett duck it inside and Connor Shaw, just trying to put this ball up, he's got three receivers down there, three or four really but it's Angelo peace, who goes high and comes away with it.
But of all the things you could have called, in terms of plays happening in the Ballgame, because we never would have thought that Shaw would have been picked off by piece.
Yeah, shop picked up by phases, and so unusual.
So, they will come to the line of scrimmage.
Falcons without any timeouts remaining.
Can only watch this with took down on a tough situation, being had a great year, Flowery Branch and now you can't do anything about it.
They were going to run the clock down to sit on it.

For all these young men were cartoon, third title for the syrup makers.
And this one, a big one, a lot of comparisons to this team to that team in 1990.
That was so strong did not see that team play, but they have to be really good at the comparison to this team led by Angelo piece.
Well, it started out strong for Flowery Branch but you know, I like a word Scrappy.
They're not big, they fly around didn't have a big offensive line, but very effective and, and they've got some play makers and Angelo peace and certainly original.
