They're the roadblock because and coming in with not a spirits team but a well, well seasoned team with the talent they do have.

Dawson County's last championship game appearance, 1991 when they lost to Clinch County.

The head coach then was Steve Sweat.

He is back for a second tour and he has brought the team here today talking about Dawson County.

We're talking about guard play.

And there's going to be one guard in particular that's going to get a lot of work.

And he's out there.

You're going to hear us talk about her all afternoon long.

She's the number one southpaw in the nation, about five foot 11.

And Lefty, she's crafty, she's smooth, she's solid with the basketball.

Everyone in America wants her on her team, on their team in the future.

We've mentioned guard play and they've got a guard who's heading to USC and there's Carly Guillory.

She's going to have to put this team on her back all afternoon long.

Hopefully she can put in some big numbers to help bring home the championship, the U.S.A can signee got 24 in the semifinals.

And Nikki is going to talk about how Dawson county really is a family affair.

Right nikki they are John family family ties run deep for the Dawson County Lady Tigers.

A team just like you guys have mentioned has never won a state title.

And the last time they've even been in the championship game was in 1991.

And however, that sweet, pious lady Golden Lions are heading into this matchup undefeated in class three, a play, and they are led by the nationally recognized sophomore sensation Agent.

Steve, it's good to see is more than twice a year up there at Saint Pius.

Your boys team got to the Georgia Dome and your girls team is there playing first on the state title.

Mark It's been great and I love seeing you every time because I know we're being successful.

Let's talk a little about what it's been like at school this week as everybody gets fired up to make the trip to Macon and see the girls play.

It's me.

It's been exciting.

You know, you see it from football.

And we had success in the cross country in the early in the year, but the girls basketball team has just captured everybody.

And I thought we had the best crowd here until I saw Dawson County.

And they've done a great job.

We'll talk about your fans that have come down because, you know, you may not have quite as many as Dauphin County, but there's a lot of gold Lions supporters.

They really are.

We travel well and everything.

And I'm real proud of our community.

It's a great, cohesive family.

And we come together and support the girls and it's a worthy team to.

How do you get them to fully execute those plays?

Well, they know what they supposed to do and hopefully they'll go out there and do it this half and we'll get some movement going in it.

You know, good things happen when you work hard and that's what we're going to try to do.

And number 25 for Saint Pius is working really hard out there on the court.

How do you contain her?

Well, we just try to make the defenses up on her and hope that you can stop her a little bit.

You know, she's a really good player.

Well, just inside basketball here, four for Saint Pius is Carter in Asia Durr doing her things great body control but the way for Dawson County to come back to have to play inside out not outside in here they hit the three.

We see both but see but we've got to get the ball inside.

And the stat that stands out most to me is one for 13 Dawson County, the one for 13 from the three shooting, 7% there, nine for 18 inside the art.

John, they've got to go inside and cut down on miss shots and turnovers.

The stats provided by the West Georgia Technical College Unit, the Technical College System of Georgia, Dawson County leading in the turnover battle, which is it's something that you really want ten turnovers for Dawson County, only six for St Pius.

The girls have been very dedicated all year.
