He's coming in, hits a helicopter, slam tap to the pull up from three.
Watch this guy go.
The driver backs it in and gets it.
Well, that was the scene earlier today when Calhoun County pulled out an 8482 victory over Greenville in the single-A title game.
Now, we set the stage for the boys class for a championship game as the Carrollton Trojans go for their first ever state title against the Jonesborough Cardinals are trying to make it back to back.
And welcome inside Macon Coliseum.
Matt Stewart joined by Larry Smith and Larry.
Tim Cresswell's been coaching Carrollton for 27 years and this is the first time that they've ever played on the big stage With the state championship game, Millman led Jonesboro to their first ever state title a year ago for the first time in the 90 year history of the school.
And now, not only are they one of the best teams in the state, but they're one of the best teams in the country.
Yeah, they are ranked number ten right now in the country and trying to set back to back a championship set down in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Carrollton, what a what a job for Coach Criswell and the legacy he has there.
We'll talk more about that.
In terms of the he can't look around us.
There are all kinds of his players, some of his dads, he coached them the last game.
He coached those coaches.
He coached in high school to great coaches, to great programs.
An exciting game tonight, 540 victories for Criswell in his career.
A win tonight would obviously be the biggest of his career.
Now, the reason why Jonesboro is so good, or at least one of the reasons, is they have one of the top sophomores in the country, M.J. Walker, ESPN five star forward in the class of 2017.
He's already got six Aiken, S.C., offers, and he's just scratching the surface.
He's unbelievable.
He was a freshman all-American at Maxpreps last year.
He was 19 points per game.
The regionals are the year he's an all stater.
This year, he is somebody that you will have to stop if you're Carrollton.
Meantime, Carrollton, led by Georgia Southern signee Monty Glenn and he is a true back to the basket low post player the type that young very don't see very much anymore.
I think like a Wes Unseld player when you see him, you know I mean he's just he's he's a big body underneath and coach Chris well says hey there's no question our offense goes through him he'll touch the ball a lot right now he's a big man and he's a big problem, but he's don't fall hard when you try to stop.
Well, Carlton has won 22 games in a row.
Jonesboro has won 30 games in a row, and neither one of these teams has lost during the calendar year of 2015.
One will continue that streak tonight.
The other will have that one ended here on the big stage of the class for a state championship game.
Grace Olsen is the third member of our team.
She now joins us here courtside.
Thank you, Matt.
After winning that first state title last season, Jonesboro head coach Dan Belman knew that reaching this pinnacle again would require playing a tough regular season schedule.
So that's exactly the way he drew this season up.
The Cardinals always played the top ranked team in the country on third Florida, the third game of the season.
They lost by 15 points to Tracy and Walker fouling out, but they've been undefeated ever since, prevailing against a number of top ranked opponents.
And the best part is that Coach said the team really doesn't feel like they have a target on their back.
He said the team has a very special demeanor about themselves despite being ranked 10th in the country.
And we'll see how that demeanor prevails in tonight's big showdown.
Good, guys.
Well, there's Dan Mailman.
Thank you.
Grace played at Moeller High School in Cincinnati, came south and he's turned Jonesboro into a national power.
Dan Millman, Cincinnati Molar, that famous athletic program up there, and Tim Criswell, 27 years as Carlton's head coach, 540 wins just 187 losses.
But for the first time in his career, coaching the final game of the season.
And he was excited about that that we talked to him this week.
Look at the starters.
What is that?
Carlton Trojans.
There's the Regions Bank starters, Bonner, Criswell, Evans, his son Pueblo, and the aforementioned Blake and the Regions Bank starters for the Dolan score Cardinals Linsey Davis and signed to Chattanooga, Matt Hector and the aforementioned M.J. Walker.
Here we go.
The crowd here, a lot of fans from both schools not far away.
And here we go, Jonesboro in their road read Trojans in the Light to start on offense, Glynn gets the first shot.
Gipson puts it in.
He's on loan at 68 to 50.
And there's M.J. Walker, Austin Donaldson, the point guard holding the ball to the University of Tennessee.
Chattanooga takes the first shot rebound tipped out of bounds and it belonged to Middleton.
Right now, you can see what Carrollton is trying to do.
Obviously trying to keep M.J. Walker in check.
Didn't have a touch right there.
Didn't get a look at the basket.
Carrollton, 29.
And to their 29 wins the best in school history and their 13th region championship this year.
The Tenino region five play was stolen by the Cardinals.
Flip over the horn, man and the trailer is mentioned.
Defense runs an offense right there.
Great play by the Cardinals.
Get on the board Len gets it again working against Mincey spin move past it and look he's going to touch the ball on nearly every possession their offense goes through him.
Well you can see why.
Here's the thing.
He's six eight.
But look at his feet.
Look at his feet.
Work right here.
It's footwork.
Nice footwork, nimble feet for a big man.
Six, 8 to 15.
That's that's that's just nice mobility right there for a kid That's again close to 5010 at the free throw already.
So baskets for the Trojans.
The Andre Mack averages 15 game time 17 All-region this year.
And it's the first time that Walker has touched the ball.
Strong defense and dish scoring.
Carlson en route to taking the offensive goaltending no basket.
Well, we had that in the earlier game map.
We talked about that tip dunk.
I thought it was close, but I thought it had fallen off the rim.
I thought it was a good I thought it was good myself.
I had one more look at it here, row here on the drive.
Let's watch this, see if it comes off.
Yeah, it was just off the rim.
I thought.
I thought it was.
The officials didn't agree.
So no basket.
Vern Lattimore, J.T.
Turner and Chad Tucker, our three man crew working this for a state championship game.
And there's Walker on the drive got fouled on the play foul is going to be called on Dez Well his first puts M.J. Walker at the line averages 19.3 points per game just a sophomore.
He's already scored more than 1000 points in his career.
Walker rated the number 19 player in the ESPN top 25 for the class of 2017, then offered by Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Miami, Florida, Ole Miss and Florida State.
And many more to come.
He tied it for just blown away from the basket.
He drives on the dribble standing away from knocked out of bounds by Jones for the well that was interesting that was the first time we saw Glynn get the ball but not on the low post.
Well he is outside and look who is on who's in.
Jay Walker.
Run on the defense on that inbounds pass goes 90 feet.
That's unusual.
That might be the longest inbounds pass from the baseline I've ever seen in my life.
I was it the scoreboard about the second quarter Glynn on the dish and the foul is going to be called on Hector and Dez.
What's going to be going to the well, something to watch right now that happened Just again, that's three possessions for Carrollton without you take away the turnover.
Let's touch the ball through that time, the double team came for Jonesboro.
Smart play by Glynn to recognize addition off the bat, he couldn't convert, but he's out for 611 80 junior league averages seven and a half points two and a half rebounds per game.
And he's one of those players that you were referencing, Larry, in reference to Coach Tim Criswell.
He coached Dez, his dad out, and his dad is now a member of the school board there in Carroll County.
Coached him 20 plus years ago.
He touched a lot of people over this past quarter century plus.
Well, he's coached all of his assistant coaches on the boys staff.
He coached Sean Thomas, then the head coach of the girls team that just lost the state championship game.
And one of his assistants, he's coached everybody in.
CARROLL Yeah.
WALKER Offensive rebound and a foul is going to be called that will send Tracy Hector to the line en on the foul his first save Tracy Hector steps up to the line he's been playing injured has a sore tendon in the sport, takes a steroid shot in the field every week to allow him to deal with the pain and play and had a high ankle sprain two weeks ago.
He hasn't practice for three weeks, but he's a big part of this team and faith in them and says he's going to lead the team.
Just 59 rebounds.
I'll take his loss.
Senior.
It's going to go to him where he can and get on the court and help his team.
On Tuesday, Jackson's already had three ties here in the first three and a half minutes nearly stolen by Vince Department timeout opening 337 and Macon Jonesboro and Carrollton an early six six tie.
Important thing about Brady you got to have good ball movement watch our turnover fake cheesy play look late summer is the time for who's great action show up angel looking to get some space finds it throws intensity family memories tickets and information available at Atlanta Dream dot net for 23 to play in the first quarter Jonesboro and Carrollton and a66 tie.
Before the game, we had a chance to get in the locker room with Tim Creswell and Dan Melvin, hear what they had to say to their teams.
Never.
You remember this.
The rest of your life.
Do not let this night slip away, okay?
Everybody expects you to win your number one.
You're eighth in the country.
That means nothing.
They don't care about it.
I don't care about it.
All I care about is for 32 minutes.
You guys giving me everything you got.
And if you do, when you look at that scoreboard, I can almost promise you you'll like the result.
Nobody.
Nobody in Atlanta.
Paper things you can do.
Guys in this room, we believe we can do it right.
We believe we can do it.
I believe you can do it.
Let's get out there and get out there.
Well, there you go.
That's Tim Cresswell.
They're going for their first state championship in school history.
Also their first final Four appearance, even though they've been in the Elite Eight for the last five years.
Yeah, he's got a nice program there over the years.
Great to see him after so many years, had the success he's had recently.
And then now to be here on the biggest stage, Carrollton got here by virtue of beating last year's state final is Columbia, the team that Jonesboro beat in the state championship game last year.
They beat Columbia in the first round, Burke County in the second UPS and Lee in the quarters, and then a slim 4845 victory over Kay Rowe in the semifinals.
And inside we're going against Mincey in six of the eight points scored by Carrollton have been scored by Glenn Buckner.
Pardon me.
Mack misses the three and Rowe comes speeding up the floor for Carrollton, gets it to Glenn make it eight of ten game.
Well again this nice footwork I mean again he's six 8 to 50 and he ran the court Nice job right there by his teammate Jarell Rhodes of find him and you want to feed the big man but he's going to pay it off.
I think you made the point already, Larry, you're right that he's got good footwork and he missed pretty quickly.
And that's the first thing I've noticed tonight.
He's not a lumbering big man for sure.
And that's hard to find in a big name that has already signed with the Georgia Southern Eagles, Mark Bynes, and doing a good job in his second season in state for a team in the mix of the regular season title, Hector pulls down the offensive rebound and Chris Lowe gets the defensive rebound.
And then the foul is going to be called on Jones, Paul and I believe he'll go against Tennessee.
It'll be number two on him, four as well.
Who has signed to play baseball at Southern Union stolen in the back court by Hector and he puts it in Jonesboro defense getting Carlton trouble another turnover force Walker nails the third time out for his last name Harrison as John Wall takes the lead, the excellent baskets right there as we take a look at some of the keys in the game.
You let MJ go to work then.
Right now, being very smart with his touches, not forcing anything.
You saw the three point shot right there in rhythm.
He's hard to stop and focus on the task at hand.
You heard a moment ago Coach Coleman talking before the game in the locker room.
Don't worry about the rankings.
Number one in the state.
Number ten on the country doesn't matter if you don't play well tonight.
None of that matters for Carrollton.
Meanwhile, you got to be the big man.
We've seen that already again, Glenn, already with eight points early on and made history.
Do the things you're supposed to do that got you here and become the team, the first team to win a state championship in program history.
Know CSG teams like Game College, Technical College system of Georgia you get it right Big sponsor big supporter GPB sports all season long Bonner and a double team gets rid of it to row row and the foul is going to be called on Jonesboro and that's going to be on Mincey I believe it.
So that's three on him.
Nope, not Mincey.
Who can be called on Donelson instead, which is good news for Benson.
First lead of the game for Jonesboro off the inbounds pass knocked out of bounds by the Cardinals foul.
And the foul was the call as well.
And Mack called for the foul.
That'll put Rowe at the line.
Terrell row a631 75 junior post player averaging 12 and a half points and right at nine rebounds per game Roseman generating a lot of interest in football as a65 wide receiver 63641 type wide receiver He's got the frame for it good hands you can see him out there £42 of muscle from Carrollton back in the league.
Walker hit a three there three moments ago.
Not this time.
Mincey grabs the rebound Matt Rainbow three one was able to tap the rebound The row this game not nearly moving quite as fast as Calhoun County and that's time is traveling Wow Bonner got up in the air and let me say early don't go from air if you don't want to do the ball.
That's almost what Bonner did right there.
That was really close.
Lob inside for Glen into a double team and he still gets the basket and Tillman slow his shoulders just slump because they're doing everything everything they can to try to stop Lynn and he has ten of their 14 points coming over the back row is going to be called for the foul.
Lynn was right there on the defensive end as well to deflect that shot.
You substitution it for Carrollton is Marshon Dallas checks into the ballgame and Dante Bonner comes out Willie Bird's also going to check in and Gerald Rose just committed the foul coming up also substitution here for Jonesboro as Mincey comes out and Kenneth Quarles checks in nice motor by the trade mark Carroll's in a one point lead.
I'll tell you what though.
Jonesboro has got the all star hair team, that's for sure.
They did.
I mean, they got all kinds of styles.
If you're looking for variety, they got teams they can call right there that Jonesboro Press paying off.
Here we go.
I love it.
But mincey, mincey, mincey, defense.
He's the MVP in the hair like that.
He's MVP.
Jim Carey this year is getting a little tense.
Of course, Dan Millman, their coach, has no hair, so it's only appropriate.
That's right.
Three ball the one Sunday by Donaldson Jones for his biggest lead by two now final minute of the quarter and foul called they had the trap they had to steal but they had to foul march on fit Marshon bears to do it boy coach Calvin's reaction look right there he can't believe it was right in front of him.
He thought that was clean.
One more look at the replay here along the sideline.
Just took it right from him.
Oh, my goodness.
I can see why Dan Millman was upset.
Sure.
And that is a steal.
Walker slings it to the way Matt rebound Quinn.
Just a great opportunity right there.
17 seconds to play in the quarter There's the trap again, the drive and an offensive foul.
T.J. Corcoran whistled for the foul.
But that's a tough call right there.
Watch this.
They had little couldn't get it to him goes in he felt the ball was set and drew the charge final 7 seconds in the quarter that Walker takes the shot.
No, they didn't get the shot off.
The balls waited too long.
And that is the end of the first quarter.
Jones for a Cardinals have won 30 games in a row and trying to make it back to back state championships.

Oh.
Start of the second quarter in Macon Georgia Jones four cardinals with a 1614 lead on Carrollton in the four state championship game and the story individually so far in this game has been Monty Glenn.
He has scored ten of their 14 points for the Trojans.
He's just been impressive.
In fact, as you watch, that's his only miss right there.
And he tips it right back in.
He's six 8 to 15.
We talked about really knows how to move his feet.
And for a young man that size, that's really difficult to teach for he just to be able to do athletically.
You see why he's already signing at Georgia Southern and they're excited to get him down there in the States.
But what's amazing is he is five for six on the floor.
Carrollton officially has only one other field goal attempt at that by Terrelle role.
They also do have six turnovers, so they've had some empty possessions and they've also been to the foul line five times and hit four but only seven shots taken by Carrollton in the first 8 minutes of this ballgame.
In our single-A game, we had about seven shots taken at seven second.
Yes, right.
And not let me I was going to say not not all of them Good.
I was going to say not most of them not good.
Right?
Right.
But they did score a combined 166 points and it was entertaining.
Calhoun County, by the way, points off turnovers.
Jones for all that, press already took ten points off turnovers.
Walker takes another three.
Walker now one for three behind the arc.
He does one out of two threes on began the game on the man to man watch the inside the triple team around left Webb missed the putback after Glynn missed just his second shot of the night.
Webb comes up with the loose ball and it comes to roll.
Doesn't have numbers.
They wait, though.
I mean, Carlton's last game in the semifinals was 4845, which is about what our halftime score was in the single digits right?
Criswell his first shot.
Oh, Mack brings the ball up the floor for the Cardinals.
Drive to the basket reverse lay off Nice England comeback shot by Austin Donelson.
You can see why coach is so high on him.
He really believes he's the best point guard in the state.
Headed to Tennessee.
Tennessee the next year.
There's the steal and the missed layup.
Flynn was back on defense and didn't let blockers get a good look.
Just the floater missed by Bonner.
Now things speed up and Bonner is hurt The ball sails through the hands of Hector and Bonner still has not been able to move.
He's going to have to come out of the ballgame.
Austin Donaldson, again, the point guard for the Cardinals.
Watch this move here.
And that was that was high off the glass that was above the square.
Yeah, he got the bounce off the square.
You know, the coaches always put it in the square.
We'll go with he shot it over the square.
Perfect angle.
But I had enough English on that thing for the bounce backboard.
So Marshon Faris is checked into the ballgame from Bonner who had to come out with that leg injury.
And you go to Glen again right inside and an offensive foul on Glen.
Going to be the first on him.
Lynn's got it going off the hair to too Yeah got to give him some credit I love it all got together like that to a magazine online and they picked out hey you do this one and I'll be this woman.
Well, we just wanted to point that out.
Jones Ball is not the only team that's got the fashion forward here.
And that's why I hear you.
And I can't pull it off.
But he's got his players, great young men.
They are significantly younger than we are.
Lest I remind you, drive by Mack the Floater and the tip man by Walker snuck in the back door with his left hand with athleticism right there.
Just snuck in around, saw an opening, nearly another steal Webb does have it stolen, ends up going into Glen's hands and he puts it in with the left hand.
They're not going to be able to stop Clint.
I don't know what they're going to be able to do.
They doubled him.
They tried everything.
So those three defenders right there and he still put it up.
He's got the nice soft touch in his hands.
He has 12, Carrollton, 16 points.
Walker leads Jonesboro with seven of their 20.
Donaldson gets a screen.
Walker's just outside the elbow and the rebound is controlled by Rowe.
Faris has it stolen?
Hector fouled on the play by Faris And so Hector's going to go to the line on the back end for Carrollton right now.
He so a timeout with 422 to play in the first half Jonesboro with a four point lead on Carrollton what is by moonlight an empty field is by the magic of electricity sacred ground As the official energy provider of the GHC, Georgia's electric membership cooperatives proudly support our student athletes, We are there illuminating the glory moments.

Carrollton Trojans were hoping for a double double.
Now they're hoping for one state title, the Lady Trojans beat by one point in a thriller, losing to Buford in the girls state championship game right before this one.
So folks that made their way over from West Georgia and Carroll County and specifically Carrollton, getting a chance to watch two games at the price of one here today.
Yeah, that's not bad.
A great group of fans coming over from Carrollton for this one, too Big man, Monte Glynn.
He has all six field goals for the Carrollton Trojans.
Jonesboro coach Melvin talking this week.
He said, you know, we have trouble with big men.
It's one game they lost was a big man right there.
So he knew he had his work cut out for him.
His team did this game only loss this season.
As Bryce referenced in the Open to Montverde Academy, the powerhouse out of Florida, Jonesboro played a national schedule, having reached this level, a lot of it has to do with M.J. Walker and you've got a star player.
The national schedules gravitate towards those players, but it's been a team effort.
It's not just M.J. Walker.
A lot of good athletes here, impressed with Donaldson, Menzies, Athletic, Mack, Hector.
Yeah.
Hector has been getting a lot of looks, too, from some of the smaller colleges.
Clayton State, Columbia State among those interested, Yeah, according to the North Georgia, the Citadel Lander, Queens will have an opportunity to continue his basketball career beyond tonight inside the glen.
Okay, so what's it going to do about them?
I think the only way you can do that is to deny the pass.
You just can't let the ball get to it.
If you let the ball get to him, his feet in the paint, you might as well go ahead and put the two on the scoreboard.
Sure, He has scored 14 of their 18 and every one of their field goals inside the Hector.
Hector missed a bunny and lost out of bounds will be Harrelson's ball.
But even then, I give Glynn Glynn a lot of credit for that, too.
Let's check in with Grace.
Grace All right.
Before that last time out, we saw Jonesboro struggling with some of those loose balls, giving up some turnovers there.
And Coach Mailman told the guys in the huddle, he said, I don't care what it takes if you have to dive in their stomach to get those loose balls, that's what you're going to do.
He said, You better.
We got an across the board game, those ball guys.
Thank you.
Glen had a couple of offensive tip attempts and couldn't put one down that time.
Donaldson pulls up in front of Glen rebound by Webb on the foul jump ball.
No protection They're going to go carry his way so it's no big loss for them but again a 40 for Glen inside he's got presence they've got up there playing the zone.
Any time a player tries to drive, it's his presence right there.
He's lost a couple of shots, altered several other shots he's done on both ends of the court right now for the Trojans, Carrollton, only two of nine shooting in this quarter and that puts it in.
That's the first play for Carrollton other than Glen to hit a field goal.
Oh, Oh.
Donaldson goes to the defense and Travis pulled up the dribble, picked up his dribble right in front of Glen.
You got to believe that Glen standing right there in the middle, forced him into that turnover.
When we look at that last basket right there, why does Webb's nice touch the teardrop?
And finally, as you mentioned, somebody other than Glen gets a field goal for Carrollton stolen by Hector.
Hector with the finger roll.
Nice eight for Hector.
That's at least two steals.
And he's turned directly into layups.
Well, Carrollton May had the big man in Glen, but Jonesboro, they're real long and athletic.
And the two men up there on the point on that press, they make it very hard to see around and try to make that pass.
It'll be interesting to see whoever wins the state championship.
They got to figure out Jonesboro has to figure out how to stop Glenn and Carrollton.
He's got to figure out how to handle their pressure.
Jonesboro is pressure because they have not been able to handle that Now, already double digit turnovers in this game for Carrollton.
It's the reason how they scored their points.
Carrollton score from Glen Jonesboro scored off their defense in forcing turnovers by Carrollton.
It's good point it Glen and a double team spins through it and trap It's the ninth turnover Yeah again look watch this again the triple team on him he gets his the ball at the counter Redshirts right there around him There's two right on him.
He's got two more behind.
It's the first time really they've stopped him frustrated he and Sorry.
Got the ball he didn't get the ball on the low block.
Who got the ball at the elbow.
Jonesboro ball may play for the final shot here.
Jonathan senior very smart point guard with one in place walk ins are now top of the screen up in the corner.
The 1510 seconds pass to the ball Matt has to fire one lane gets the rebound and that's the end of the half.
So they run the clock for about 30 seconds and come up for shot.
That is the end of the first 16 minutes with Jonesboro and head coach Dan Mailman in search of their second consecutive state title and leading Carrollton by four points Great half by Bolden Matt you put it perfectly Jonesboro the defense Carrollton the big man inside.
That's what they both have written to this halftime showing a four point lead for Jonesboro.
And Grace Olsen is standing by with Coach Mailman here with Coach Mailman.
Coach, you told us that in your other playoff games, one struggle you had not sticking to your game plan from the beginning.
Do you feel like you're probably executing that right now?
Oh, no, not really.
I mean, what I told our guys inside the paint was the story of the game tonight.
And you see the big kid probably has 16 of their 20 points.
So, you know, I understand he's six, seven, £260.
But you know, you got to find some way deep down inside to figure a way to stop the kid.
You know, we've tried everything.

Got to go.
All right.
Here with Coach Criswell of Carrollton, Jonesboro, leading them, 24 to 20 heading into the second half.
Coach, we know when your offense runs through when but you didn't have a player score a field goal besides him until 2 minutes left in the first half.
We're good with that.
We're good with that.
We're getting it where we want it and we want to go through him.
If they start adjusting, then it'll open some other thing up.
But that ball is going to him if we can get it in there.
Right now, we've had success getting in there.
We just made some silly turnovers.
It turn into buckets for them and we got to do a better job rebounding.
We knew they were great offensive rebounding team and we've done a decent job, but we got to do a little better because I feel like their points have come from the free throw line and on offensive rebounds and turnovers, so some of those we just made ourselves, we just got to do a better job of that.
But proud of guys are playing hard, you know, we're getting some good shots on offense to get the ball in there where we want it, So hey, we're down four to attain.
It's, you know, very good.
So I feel good we're at you know, we just got to got to keep the game going like it is, make a few more shots and hopefully things fall our way.
All right.
Well, all about keeping the pace over here is Carrolton.
Let's send it back over to Matt and Larry.
Thanks, coach.
All right.
Thank you, Grace.
And very interesting, Larry.
The horn has sound.
We've got triple zeros on the clock and Jonesboro still has not come out of the locker room.
Yeah, Yeah, they're not even here yet.
So again, I think that's another concern is and you heard Barb right before, they have Coach Melvin said, hey, listen, the big over there has got 16 points.
Actually, he's got 14.
But his point was that was a point of emphasis for this Jonesboro Cardinals team.
He will feel the leading on the scoreboard.
They failed in that in in terms of their objective in keeping the ball and keeping him off the scoreboard.
So that's the big story.
Monte.
Glenn, as we take a look at the first half highlights, he scored 14 of their 20 points.
And, you know, Jonesboro hasn't figured out how to stop him yet.
Yeah, no, they haven't And even try to triple team they are two one offensive foul but otherwise again like you said you got to stop that injury pastors want to get the ball into there now nothing nothing's going to happen Good is going to happen if you're Jonesboro.
Meanwhile for the cardinals though, how about the play of all their guards?
Austin Donaldson really impressed with what he's done, the great touch right there.
Donaldson early on from the high points.
And he's done so much more for this Cardinals team.
Here's your Farm Bureau of Georgia halftime stats.
And the big stat to me in this game is the points off turnovers and Jonesboro hasn't figured out how to stop Carlton's Monte Glenn.
Well Carrollton hasn't figured out how to handle Jones Balls pressure defense.
And if that doesn't change, Jonesboro will win the state title game.
Yeah, there's no question that you talk about in terms of things you have to stop.
Jonesboro can stop the ball.
Obviously they've done it before half court.
Once it crosses half court, though, it's all Monty Davis.
You great first half 16 minutes more.
Two outstanding programs right now so Austin Donaldson brings it across half court has done four on their road ready starts on offense in the third quarter that three one zone right now Carrollton changing up the defense to third look we've seen that began and a man to man that went to a24 later in the first half Jonesboro backs it out tries to figure out what to face here Carrollton you want the big man in the middle and they got the cut to the basket by M.J. Walker.
At his ninth point, he scored 30 in their 7143 semifinal win against Liberty County.
And then again, the pressure defense and a timeout called by Tim Cresswell.
And this has been a familiar theme.
That draft gets a boom either in the back quarter right there at the halfcourt line, and they're just having a difficult time handling that trap.
Well, as we talked about in the first half, Mathieu, the two point men who run that press and the man who deals to young men who trap again just so long and athletic.
Take a look at it right here again, there's Walker right there.
You know how big and long he is.
And Chris was the same size.
But watch this.
Here comes Mac.
If it's not Mac, it's.
It's Hector's not Hector, it's Mincey.
All along, it could've been such a great job of the get of get Getting their hands up, getting in your face and closing quickly without fouling and causing all kinds of problems.
Sight problems you don't have.
The equals passing lanes aren't available.
And that's how they bring in so many turnovers.
Already 11 year in the game.
And when you pick up the dribble, turn out the lights.
There you go.
Good luck trying to get a pass through those long arms.
Nearly another steal and they got it.
Eight steals so far in this game, for example, turns into an easy layup for Donaldson Road stolen again Mac three offensive rebound Donaldson ends up falling and traveling.
I thought that was a good no call from Jonesboro fans and coach Melvin they wanted a foul but watch it right here.
I was just going to say nice job for once for Carrollton actually getting the ball in the middle of the press.
They don't do that very much, but they did turnover.
Donaldson turns into a two at the other end and they were trying to bounce pass to Glen and this time they denied the pass to him did not let the ball get to him.
And I think that's what you got to do.
You got to front him and just don't let him get the ball.
Watch him down there underneath.
He's got mincey number zero on him.
And then right there, very close is M.J. Walker as well.
Any time they looked, it looked to him.
They've got two men in front of him there to deny that pass, just like you talked about.
They're trying to set a screen with Criswell there to get him the ball Criswell knocks down the three first points of the night for Cooper Criswell, who averages eight a games only the third Trojan to score a field goal knocked out to free zone again.
That's Glen in the middle He's a presence block shots and more importantly alter shots.
He drives a length stolen by Bonner Bonner runs away from the basket, lays it in Hilton has got it in a three they've done some trouble I mean changing the defenses here on zone four has confused them in and brought their own offense to a screeching halt.
Until then, when Hector laid it in.
Hector attack the basket, found the lane on the baseline.
He's got ten.
He's the first player in double figures for Zone for.
Oh, they get the ball to Glen travel.
They call a foul.
They call the foul on the floor and it's against Jones for could be on M.J. Walker Look at it watch the defense here 40 for their left side of your screen That's Mincey all over him watch Walker then rush in but he's late.
He was up playing without a passing lane and didn't get there quite in time to call for the foul rebound control by Hector Donaldson.
Walker Walker, a special player.
He can take a shot.
He's how he wants it.
He chooses Gordon.
And also the ball steps in to the three saints in Luke Walker is a great wonder he's doing more behind the arc and a timeout called by Carrollton as Jonesboro has opened up an eight point lead.
It's Jonesboro, his biggest lead of the ballgame, and it comes three and a half minutes into the third quarter.
Now down for Ramblin Man.
This moment getting here took three years of sleepless nights and postponed vacations.
Your dad said, Play it safe.
Your husband kept the faith, but franchising is why you partnered with Regions in the first place.
We share your vision for moving forward, and at moments like this, I see that makes all the difference.
Is your business at a turning point?
Regions do you coach?
And Dan Dunn Mailman told us that Austin Donaldson is a player that not only performs well on the court, he said he also has been a calming force for him ever since he's played with them over there.
And he said his sophomore year, he wasn't even playing really well.
He's he said he didn't really even blossom into the player that he is until later in his high school career.
But he said after one loss a couple of years ago, Coach wanted to just bite the seat in front of him and he said Austin was sitting there, say, calming him down, saying, Coach, it's okay, we're going to win, say next year we're going to win state in the next couple of years.
And he said it's just truly remarkable to have a player like that, especially at that age and one who wasn't even starting at the time saying things like that.
But he said it's it's a great thing to have on the team, guys.
Well.
DONALDSON has led an offense that has committed just five turnovers tonight.
He's played all 20 minutes and scored seven points, but a very nice job.
One of the stat very quickly here at the 422 mark, we talked about again trying to stop Monte.
Glad he does not have a field goal attempt in the third quarter, 14 points in the game for Carrollton but has yet to touch the ball really on offense inside Walker rolls it in he's now in double figures in 14 actually he's been in double figures down for hitting that three a few moments ago and another timeout called by Criswell Well he's got to get something done you know they did a nice job earlier.
I was just going to say a couple of moments ago, one more look at this play right here.
Again, trying to beat the press.
But really, that was just, again, bad spacing right there and that was part of it.
They wanted to try something different On that inbounds play.
That was a play they actually drew up, but it didn't they didn't execute it very well.
And the two guys in same place, they bump into each other, the ball comes loose.
Easy turnover, easy basket.
Therefore, for Jonesboro, I was going to say earlier, did a nice job of actually they had Glenn on the inbound and kept him back as as a safety basket really foul on that Preston the actually was one of the better easier times they had breaking the press curious to see right now they've got him actually in the frontcourt we see here what they're going to do how they're going to attack this press a little differently right now, because I think they've got, what, 12, 13 turnovers already and the turnover count.
13, 14, 14.
That's 13.
Okay.
Long pass for Raul and he lays it in and out.
One looks like he does during the football season, runs under that long pass and lays it in.
Thanks for all great basketball history of course Gary Douglas, Tony Douglas Franco Cardinals back in the day in high school before going on to their respective careers, but not until last season.
In the over 90 year history of the Clayton County schools have they won a state title.
Now they're trying to make it back to back beat Columbia Last year, 5651 In the final, Walker turned the ball over.
Let's take a look at this right here.
Said this is some football coaches bottle even better look at that bleep.
I thought that was an even better a nice spin move to the pirouette, the pressure Donaldson on the drive rebound low.
That's one way to keep him out of the press Bonner drives fans Glynn got the offensive rebound and he threw it out of bounds But you watch this catch by Bonner Yeah so we had Rowe catching the last one and Bonner wants this ice move that was really not over the shoulder, but over his head.
That's only comes right at the pass and right over the top of your head.
This was just a good one to catch of using the pass inside denied turnover that's just a six make that seventh turnover Gerald nearly another steal by Hector he's got five in the game and when blocking foul is going to be called on his ball and that will be on Walker and that'll be number three on him Look at it here.
Yep it in it into Yeah that puts Dennis Webb in the long to get to a Carrollton miss game hungry throw to Johnson Tyrone has not missed one of the first free throw for Carrollton since the first quarter.
What almost two entire periods of going to the line after the rebound after the rim out.
Nice mini run here.
Final spurt for Carrollton to run outs for layups free Powell away from the ball this one's going to go in well collided with Jay Walker they go through something else to watch for the big man 41 more for the Trojans.
Good plan.
He's yet to come out of the game.
Six 1850 We talked about that statement.
It comes into play in the fourth quarter yet to attempt a field goal here in the second half after 14 points in the loss there.
The rebound.
We're working on a double double.
That's his eighth ball, but no points here in the third quarter after scoring 14 in the first half of Jonesboro, the teams present Cruz with his 16th of the game in the 12 for Hector with a caveat zone in on Flynn look at Glen 44 there's no screen left side he's going to take nearly another steal 42 seconds to play in the half and now less than that by the way, Hector has seven steals shooting amazing performance.
Well.
Oh, and a blocking foul.
We called on John score.
You're Carrollton right now you're down seven.
But again, Flynn hasn't touched the ball because they just didn't have time to working right here.
Tyreek Jenkins called for a foul that puts Dez Webb at the line again.
You did not see that boys class public title game when I did earlier this afternoon.
Well, Mike Calhoun County was good free throw shooting with his Carrollton team and Jonesboro both three very good at the line substitution made as Webb comes out and Parris will come in for him.
Joe Tillman is 71 to cut the Jonesboro lead to 520 seconds in the first picture holds the ball 5 seconds.
Donaldson for three way off the mark offensive rebound shot blocked by Barrass no more sounds and that's the end of the third quarter three 8 minutes to play to decide the four eight state championship game Jonesboro has a five point lead as we head to the fourth quarter.

Jonesboro leading Carrollton by five points.
Mad Stewart and Larry Smith with you at Macon Coliseum.
And what a job.
Dan Mellman and the Jonesboro Cardinals did on Monte Glenn in that third quarter scored 14 points in the first half.
They held on to just they held it no shots, two rebounds two turnovers in those 8 minutes of the third quarter.
Yeah, that was a point of emphasis.
And he was very frustrated going into halftime talking about that.
And clearly he's come out and done that right now.
They've changed the defense.
The triple team didn't work in the first half.
So now he comes in and says, well, okay, we're just going to make sure we put a wall in front of you.
He's got Mincey on him all the time.
And the big athletic M.J. Walker, the sophomore, the all stater, he comes in as well to help out.
It's been very, very effective.
And it's really kept him in check.
And it is up to the entire Carrollton offense, which we all know goes through Monte Glenn.
Carrollton cleaned up their turnovers a little bit better in that half, although still committed score and the story of the game John squirrels ability to turn corrals and turn that into points a 22 five advantage points off turnovers and in that third quarter the is shutting down take Lynn Carrollton has to get him back involved in this game.
If they have a chance to win their first state they can see right there with 23 roll of the left side of your screen.
He's really serving just a role for like a defensive back, just like he's like has got his eyes on the quarterback always watching.
And everyone look at that.
Three players right there around the big man Glen.
Does he get that offense goes right to him?
Well, I think it's pretty simple.
Larry Walton's going to have to hit some outside shots to loosen up that defense and pull that pull those players away from Glen and make them defend somebody else.
Winslow got it on his three point attempt.
That's exactly what they were trying to do right there.
Finally get a rotation.
The man open on the side and Criswell goes to the line for three.
That's a great point, Matt.
In fact, I was just going to say that they've got to do that.
They've got to take shots.
And so here is number ten to look for the ball.
We're going to have to take shots and make them to open that up.
Otherwise they'll pack that in which they know right now no one else is really Criswell can do that.
He had 13 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks in their 5433 first round against Columbia, the 2013 state finalist team.
So he hits the first free throw.
He hits this one down to a four point game.
And you're still right back into it.
There's no doubt about it.
In the last 7 minutes of regulation, Harrelson's got to hit some outside shots to loosen up their defense, or else Lynn might not touch the ball.
The best of the game.
Bryce Jonesboro has just done a really good job of shutting him down here in this second half.
Three point game is Fresno gets two of the 3 to 9 to Carrollton run as they battled their way back to Smith.
Good bye Control might be ready to go Walker on the drive misses the school rebound controlled by Webb launches Kels on offense but they can't wait to Glynn Oh wow.
Oh.
Oh How far second on him and the fifth team foul on Jonesboro Oh Roswell was on clap and thought he wanted to take the three up That's the way they get back in this game Mr. Criswell hit some threes to be able to rotate that ball quickly enough to beat the defense over there and get an open look.
Well, he has only two threes in the game for Carrollton.
And so now you've given the Jonesboro defense enough to worry about other than Monte Davis.
Monte Glenn Donaldson Bangs it in timeout called by Jonesborough Cooper Criswell is going to play baseball in the next level once this hits it Look his dad's reaction.
That's my boy.
That's right.
He's coached his son before.
He's an older son now, Riley, who unfortunately, because of a horrific knee injury, has not been able to continue his college basketball career.
Riley is a sophomore at Holy Cross.
He's still on scholarship there.
In fact, he's with the team there in the Patriot League tournament right now And playing Army today.
Playing actually, they beat Army yesterday, playing Bucknell, the number one seed today.
But Riley was a star player at Carrollton, just unfortunately suffered.
I mean, when we talk about horrific knee injury, we mean horrific torn tendons, nerve damage nearly lost his leg because of a blood clot that developed as a result of the traumatic knee injury.
And they were hoping that he would be able to be here tonight, but not hoping that his team would get beat in the Patriot League tournament.
So he's not able to be here tonight to watch dad and brother play for the state title.
But you know that somehow he's keeping track.
Somebody somewhere is texting him and he's keeping track online.
So Carlton answers right now and puts the ball in the middle.
They go to a man to man defense here instead of it.
And so they got man coverage on Glenn and they go right through him.
And then we see the defense collapse.
Throw the miss, got his own mistakes it in the top 39.
Great job there to recognize the change in defense.
And again, Clint touched the ball and that's the key.
He's got to touch the ball for this curtain offense the way it works best Walker three rebound Mincey gets it back to Walker Hector and run It's one more look at it right here.
Watch him right here.
Hector going baseline right up to the big man And Glenn has changed so many shots tonight but he challenges the big center for Carlton and wins that battle.
A chance now for a three point play and a three point lead.
Second foul on Glenn and Hector fails on the three point attempts.
But Jones both throws it and now Webb comes out of there with it.
Oh, it's almost over for back to a man to man defense for Johnson.
They put Walker their biggest and tallest player out there And Chris Fresno gets a look and the game come off.
Yep.
Got to get rid of it quickly with Walker running out there to the finger.
Oh Jones Brown Donald.
Oh heck yeah.
A heck of a monster on the offensive glass, which is a great basketball instinct.
Go out there just in case something comes close.
Because how was blocked by Lin initially.
So watch this.
It's blocked right there Hector's there goes up and in and puts it home.
Great move right there by the city.
Bonner called to the flag for the foul.
How about Tracy Hector?
19 points, ten rebounds in last year's state championship game.
His got the team leading 18 points here tonight and approaching double digit rebounds.
And here in the fourth quarter, he has been a beast on the offensive glass he has it you talked earlier about when he goes through what he goes through each night to get ready for a game.
He's been in a lot of pain now.
Ben Birtles Season long.
Yeah, let's check in.
Yeah.
All right.
We've talked about how Coach Mailman said that Hector Tracy really is the glue to their team.
He actually suffered a high ankle sprain earlier in the year, and he's been working through that and rehabbing since then.
And he's still actually playing injured now.
But he said he's just willing to fight it and sacrifice himself for the betterment of the team.
And he says that kid has so many intangibles that you just can't teach.
He's a key piece for this team.
Guys.
Thanks, Grace.
Well, Hector will be at the foul line again.
You can see how he's he comes out of the huddle.
He's not walking quite normal.
You can see he's got that tendon in his that bothers him.
High ankle sprain.
A couple of weeks ago and again fails to complete the three point play but they get another offensive rebound That was Mack who slipped in there and got the ball back on the baseline and got now if you don't box him out he will put it in and Walker nearly comes out with the steal.
Well look at it again right here Can't make that match with the Miss it to go Walker gets back play deep safety and deflects the ball out of bounds Jones whole team playing like a state champion trying to win another state championship after pulling even at 3939, Jones calls rattled off the last six points in a row this little rare time.
Flynn has even touched the ball in the second half and he'll go to the foul line.
Now, that would have been his first shot at the second and the foul?
Well, you saw them bring him out to the wing to get the ball and that might be what they have to do.
Yeah, because they just are not able to get the ball to him on the low post because Jonesboro is fronting the post denying the pass first point of the second half for Monte Glynn after he'd scored 14 of their first 20 points in the game four point lead.
Jones for three and a half to play this time.
Charles at his best on Oh my goodness.
Oh wow four went for the slam and then block the shot and they call the foul and there's one more time referees are talking right now.
See if this is any part of the flagrant foul.
He's just going for the ball right there.
Now, there's no way that can be a flagrant.
He got the ball now.
He did Now he blocked the shot and then he hit him in the face.
Yeah, They are calling a flagrant, I suppose, because he did hit him in the head.
How about if they've pulled all the players at the end of the court, if he referees right now near the Jonesboro bench discussing the call deciding what how they want to call this walk is at the line ready they're calling the coaches over now to discuss with him come up with there was contact above the shoulders.
Let's check on this right now and maybe some taunting here afterwards.
Let's try to see what blended after.
Now there is the block.
Great play by two star players, but right there, the taunting.
That may be it right there in number 44, Glen, That's what he gets to show for Mincey that moment.
See what the problem is?
Yeah.
Mincey was the one who shoved Glen in the back and Glen saying the fouls on me.
What about Mincey?
He just shoved me in the back.
Yeah.
I don't know if they saw that.
And unlike college basketball, the officials don't have a monitor at half court they can go to to review the call, which is why you have three referees working it out.
Outstanding crew in all four of these games today.
Veteran officials will tell by the reaction how this is going to come out while walking free at the line to shoot free throws.
They do kind to put this whole thing up.
A great play by Glynn.
Again, the taunting is maybe part of the points he seems to get when the official's attention gives an explanation.
You're calling two technicals, one on Monte Glynn and, then they're calling a technical.
And Jared mentioned.
So, you know, these will be the foul shots throughout the call.
We may find him announcing.
So M.J. Walker will take the two foul shots here for the original foul and then we'll have technical free throws taken as well.
We got that survivor, the players on the line, because for both of these things, I think once you protect the 3.0, so now a five point lead as Walker hits the free throw or do the technical free, the technical is offset.
And then along the lines that'll be called one shot.
It's a nine goals in this, apparently.
So that's what they said they were going to offset on the technical foul.
So no free throws.
I have never seen that before.
This is not football where you have offsetting penalties.
I thought you had to take the technical free throws it there's double technicals.
You go to one end of the floor, take the technicals, and then you go to the other end of the floor and take care of technicals.
The first time I've ever seen offsetting technical fouls in those three great.
What you saw there again, Glenn gets the ball and there's a foul ball on him.
And in his mid single for his fifth foul he's been a blanket on when most of this game tried to shut down the Carlton big man He falls out of the game from Monte Glenn back to the line all three points for Glenn in the second half and come straight another these he has an official field goal attempts in the second half he was fouled on the one shot I think he doesn't get he gets that lead down to 3 to 7 of Carlton's nine points in this quarter and come on the foul brilliant prospect Oh Gerald's and other players other than Flynn no field goal for them in the first but since halftime they're collectively five and 7a3 point game the two and a half to play in the three state title game Jones going to win for their second consecutive state title Carrollton trying to win their first record this close to claiming to be proud.
Oh that's the turn of events.
Not always been a big fan of the Four Corners.
I figure the more you pass the ball, just more opportunity you have to turn it over.
Well, it's too early.
It's a three point game with 2 minutes left.
I agree with you, Webb, on the drive and that's going to be a blocking foul on Jones for another look at it Webb on the drive was right there slides it was late getting there so Webb at the line where Carrollton is scored the bulk of their points not only in this fourth quarter but in this entire half.
Most of their opponents have gone to the foul line, six of eight at the foul line in this quarter.
Main two big misses, not the time to start missing free throws timeout called by Donald Trump 92 seconds to play Jonesboro leading Carrollton by three.
Well great chess match forward by both coaches we talked about again trying to find a way you see that Carrollton made some adjustments in the second half to beat the press.
What's our next foul?
We still got Blake Jonesboro.
Let's see if we can hear what Coach Melvin's going to drive you crazy.
Kansas, Stand up, throwing it into Gracie Mirror.
Alston will come around house and set us free.
Guys, get somebody open three floors and get more men and get them go for a walk.
We get the ball down so they can get one more foul.
Brandon, feel about the backside.
I've got to go to the ball.
All right.
What a story we have for the final 92 seconds.
Tim Criswell on the left, 540 victories in his career, seven seasons as Carlton's head coach.
And for the first time ever in his career, coaching his team on the biggest stage in the state.
The state championship game.
Dan Millman In his 15th season, his Jones course takes you down to the state championship game last year.
They were the newcomers.
Last year and never won a state title in over 90 years in school history.
But now on a 30 game winning streak and trying to make it back to back state championships ranked number eight in the country by Maxpreps and leading by three, Walker attacks the basket bodies on the floor and a foul called on Carrollton.
00a foul on Bonner.
We're discussing you can say that he reached up and tried to hit the water from the plane angle that could show that or not check and see but yeah, Bonner Carr was actually on the on the ground.
Matt Here's Bonner trying to slide over.
Walker gets past him.
It's definitely a block.
He was not set.
Question I think the question that Carrollton had is it was a late whistle was the whistle didn't blow until after the shot was not made.
The whistle didn't come instant genius with the contact.
But the caller's right.
It was a bluff lead as far as a big sequence defense, having the ball down three, down five walker with 15 points.
Now, for example, Harrelson's going to have to move faster than they had the entire game when Walker gambled and went for the steal.
And now a rare press here by Carrollton Donaldson calling for the ball, and now he gets it.
Remember, no shot clock.
Nice new basketball.
Apparently he's going to have to foul to break it down.
Mr. Bolton.
And the ball belongs to Carrollton and a timeout.
No chance for it goes.
Dan Milliner.
It's not what he wanted.
It the clock right now is that's it's not your friend you want to milk that thing.
Was Spellman not happy?
Oh, again, the goal thing right here is count the basket back to a five point advantage for the Cardinals.
The ball.
Nobody found out why get 31st in a row?
I can't help upside outside.
What the fuck do we have to go down?
Oh, you know, that's all we need is what's stopping the rebound.
We know.
Three, One, two, three.
We're going all straight.
41 seconds away from their second consecutive state title Carrollton, with the ball going to have to move with some purpose on this possession, I would think if they could get Criswell open for three, that would be the option here.
Safely springs out to the wing.
They go inside, the grand win, gets fouled and will go to the line for two more.
Strange said.
Everyone was on one side of the court inside of the big man tipped ball right there.
Walker Did a nice job.
It couldn't quite deflected enough.
Can keep it out of the hands of Blake Carrington nine of 13 at the free throw line in the second half they'll have to foul.
How quickly do you foul?
You got 25 seconds.
Your next foul puts Jonesboro in the one and one bonus.
How quickly do you go for the steal?
Obviously.
But how quickly after not getting the steal if you don't get it, you fast?
Well, I think he tried it first.
Did they get it across halfcourt looking back put the press on he could force a turnover is not a great play at all.
This is only so that they can foul on defense and then they're getting back out there when they're ready to do an offensive set and they found right away.
And that'll put Donaldson at the line.
Do just as glad to be back in Quarles and at the check in now for Jonesboro.
This is Donaldson's first trip to the foul line tonight.
We're going to go way no And Melvin Donaldson, the top point guard of the state, one of the top five, the nation.
This is where you make your money if you're going to make free throws.
The game that was good right there and makes it a two possession game.
Part of your job as a point guard hit clutch free throws but left one on the table and man unable to save it, going out of bounds.
But it is a two possession game again because he hit one of them when he takes the three airball lane to save it.
Bonner 3 seconds and 5150 to get the ball inside the glen the nice denial on this nice job here by Glynn saved the ball inbounds now those step back and the presence of mind to step back what's what's impressive is he wasn't at the shoulder square and he just couldn't pick up more space.
He had to do something nice play big time basket for Bonner.
All seven of his points have come here in the second half.
So the foul immediately.
And even if they hit their two, you still have a chance to tie the game with the three.
Okay.
We've had some incredible basketball here on the first day of the Georgia High School Association State Championships, the Great Game Boys won a public Calhoun County.
All but one of them has gone down to the final seconds.
Girls Glory last, last game.
When you get down to the wire to miss free throws in the fight with less than a second left decides that one well, they've got to foul right away comes the walker They found him 3.6 on the clock, 3.0 on the clock here in the arena and everybody standing side Walker the player we started the night talking about ESPN five star sophomore forward was six college already and he can't sign until 2017.
What do you guys he steps up to the line state championship on the line his team protecting a one point lead.
This is a one on one right now.
Let's make this one guaranteed at least one in overtime Timeout Baltimore as well they've got 3.4 seconds left to draw the play to tie this game on a three point are you entertained.
We've had a great day of basketball and we've got two more days to come tomorrow it'll be double a in five and then on Saturday, three and six.
And don't forget we got to go up the one a private That's right Saint Francis Girls and the wheelchair championship as well.
That's right.
Saint Francis boys.
Okay go step the huddle Coach Chris Low.
Oh, you're welcome.
Okay.
If he said we're going to come out and have a good day, we're going to try to go up.
I want to to get you on the baseline in game two.
I didn't go down to our final 3.4 seconds.
Carrollton is three for six on their three pointers.
Coach's son two for Cresswell's hit two of them.
Donte Bonner hit one just 1.2 seconds to go the game got to set this up Webb, Bonner, Criswell Row and Glynn on the floor offensively here for the Trojans long pass going to sail out of bounds No one ever touched it It'll be John's first ball Now Dan Mailman wants to say that Lynn tipped it.
If he did, the clock should have ticked.
Let's see if he did for the replay.
But we can.
Yeah, I think you did.
So on.
So what this means is Carlton's got to foul right again and hope that they miss him all.
But again, it'll be a one and one because there's only 18 fouls on terrorism and Walker will go to the line now with one point to look at it right here by Webb who threw him right into your living room on tank when watch his right hand.
Yeah, he's very direct.
Yep.
He's trying to tip the ball to row 23.
Yeah, that's what he's trying to do.
Is that too much mustard on it?
Well, here's Walker, the sophomore with a chance to nail it down for Jonesboro.
One will do it, but it is just a one and one nice to do it.
20 points for M.J. Walker, the sophomore Jonesboro about to make it back to back titles.
And with Walker, two more years to go.
They could be back on the stage in 2016.
That will do it.
The Jonesboro Cardinals back to back state champions in the and finally the cardinals show a little emotion.
There'd been a little matter of fact about it.
They played with the target on their back all year long and it never bothered them.
31 wins in a row to close out the season.
Jonesborough at 32 and 101 over the 2015 for eight state champs.
What a way for these seniors to go out.
Nancy Donaldson back back to see Buckley.
We'll see much of someone who gets pretty key role for these Heisman career back to back state champions of course, is Anthony Hopkins.
You mentioned two more years to go Walker finishes with 21 and Hector was just a beast on the offensive glass with at least seven steals and 20 points.
That combination of Walker and Hector with 41 of their 55 points, they had been their bread and butter all season long.
They lead him to the state title here tonight in Macon.
Yeah, really impressive.
And not only that, but again, this is a team, a defense that got all of those turnovers early.
Not much in it in the fourth quarter, but at the same time, they get it done.
You get the state championship, Jonesborough wins it took them 90 years to get their first title.
That came last year, just one more year to get their second.

I will now look back at Macon Coliseum Jonesboro with a 5550 win over the Carrollton Trojans.
As Jonesboro gets a 21 point night, nine of ten at the free throw line from M.J. Walker.
Tracy Hector goes for 20 points, ten rebounds and seven steals.
And the other facet to this story, Larry Smith, was the fact that they shut down Monte Glenn scored 14 points in the first half.
They held him to eight points in the second half with a one field goal is only a one dunk, only field goal of the second half.
But again, how impressive.
Eight points in the final 90 seconds by M.J. Walker is Jonesboro repeats the state champion.
Let's send it now to Mark Harmon, who's courtside.
Time now for the presentation of the Boys for a state championships.
Once again, another fantastic game tonight with the presentation, the executive director of the GHC, Gary Phillip, Coach, Mailman.
Congratulations.
So you brought a top assistant with you, helped you get through that great game, great effort, great season back to back champions.
Congratulations from the Georgia High School Association.
Here's our friend from Georgia Farm Bureau for the trophy presentation.
Congratulations, Coach.
Coach Mailman, your hands are full, and I know you're proud.
Both things you were just holding.
But talk about this team.
Talk about going back to back.
You know, it's it's hard to even talk right now, but these kids are unbelievable, the type of character.
Somebody sent me a text message earlier today, and I think it might have been Coach White at Milagro who said, you know, it takes good talent to win championships, but it takes a lot of character to repeat.
And these kids exemplify that.
And I wouldn't trade them for anybody in the world.
All right.
Let's talk to a couple of players here.
Tracy Come on over here where we got to Tracy.
Number one, there we go.
Tracy, talk a little bit about what this victory means for you and your teammates.
Well, it means a lot to us and we work very hard throughout the season, our season and everything.
And we just we play as a team.
We know how each other plays, that we play as a family.
We're a family family.
Okay.
Where's M.J.?
23 years old.
Come on up here.
Come up here by the trophy.
You guys battle a very good Carrollton team.
Talk about taking home this trophy back to back.
It's amazing.
Don't even feel real right now.
It's just.
Just the fact that we believe in each and it's all true, guys.
That's all I can say.
All right.
We got another senior here.
Talk a little bit about winning this one.
Oh, this is where I hear about the family.
Family right here.
All right.
It's a big night here for Jonesboro.
Congratulations.
The Cardinals, the mailman has delivered again his second championship in a row.
Congratulations to Georgia Bartels, 31 and one and state champions in Class four.
