It's the Boys five day State basketball championship featuring the real the Wildcats and the Blue Devils.
Up North Cross.
Big ballgame here on GPB.
This place is packed.
These folks have been waiting for this game all day long.
Combined record between both Super Bowl teams 61 and one.
It's going to be a great one two guys to call courtside, Charlie Ward and Herb White.
Thank you, Jim, and welcome, everybody to Courtside.
Charles Ward, Herb White, Phil Proctor in just a moment.
Herb big ball game.
Wheeler on offense, 85 points, average per ballgame.
Tough against that Norcross defense.
Let's talk about the Wildcats.
What they've got to do offensively.
Yeah the Wildcats going to have their hands full of course we are one of the best teams in the state, no doubt about it.
They beat South Gwinnett this year.
He was ranked in the top five nationally all year long.
Here's Gerard Curry, 21.5 points a game seven assists and about three steals.
He makes them go, but they're a well-balanced team.
Corey The big leader for the Wildcats on offense, of course.
Take a look at the rest of the crew for the Wildcats.
Gonsalves second leading scorer on the team, Hannah Cauley Curry and Florence, a good make up of five players balanced offense for the Wildcats of Wheeler High School at 30 and one on the season.
Of course, they are coached by Doug Lipscomb and that's him doing a fine job at Wheeler High School this year.
They really have turned in a great performance as a team at 30 and one, no doubt about it.
And of course, Norcross is going to have to come out there and get their hands full, but they're epitome of a balanced team as well, Charles.
No doubt about it.
Daniel Emerson played big last night, played against Armada a lot, a man who I believe is going to Georgia Tech six foot nine.
Emerson dominated him inside, and that was really the turning point in the game when Emerson turned it on last night and he's averaging 20 points and about 12 rebounds.
So how he does inside is going to go a long way to determine what happens today.
Emerson is going to get a lot of help from Bostic, Anderson, Meeks and Butler, particularly Bostic for them in that front court right now, the starting lineup being introduced here.
Let's go over to the public address.
ANNOUNCER David Witherow basketball championship between the Norcross Blue Devils and the Wheeler Wildcats.
Here are your starting line ups.
First for the Wheeler Wildcats at guard on 510, Senior number two, Sharon Terry at guard, a62 junior Number ten.

We're set for the five eight championship match up and it comes your way next.
Yes, NASCAR's listed Scott.
They are rocking here at the arena and that's it, getting set for the five eight championship.
Before we tip it off, let's go courtside.
Phil Proctor film.
All right, Charles, you know, we talk about defense wins championships.
Well, you know, one of these two teams will end up being the champion, but not only the defense.
Offensively, both these teams run the floor very well.
One matchup problem, how will we deal with the inside presence of Daniel Anderson?
We'll have to definitely keep an eye on it.
All right, Charles, back to you.
Thank you.
See, all 31 teams prior to the tonight have asked that same question and they've come up short with the answer.
We'll see if Wheeler has one tonight that Charles something has to give.
I mean, he got two teams Wheeler hasn't lost to a Georgia team.
Norcross hasn't lost anybody getting set to tip it off.
Here at the arena, basketball is controlled by the Blue Devils to get us underway.
Blue Devils Legion champs out of Region seven.
That was their first Wyndham Championship in 32 years.
Undefeated.
Mark, they're able to win this one tonight.
They'll be the first team since Dundee when he did it in 1995.
They run the table up top.
The Joker beats gets us going.
Boy, that's a huge start, no doubt about it.
Draining the three on the open play.
See if Wheeler can answer straight up man to man by the North Forest blue.
They'll just like all year long.
Warner handles now Hannah with a touch back out for five with three points.
He answers right back.
Now we might have one throw in in the first minute here tonight.
Charles Wheel, of course, going in at full court press and boy, that things cost a lot of turnovers but I thought it's throughout the year that they rely on that as a part of their defensive back the other way straight to the glass.
Meeks again hits the short Anderson, for the tough the other inside.
That's where he'll kill you.
You got to keep him off there.
He'll put him back all night long.
Curry up top picks, three fires, three left it short.
It's loose on the floor now.
Jump ball, call a stay with us.
Charles, what does it say about the quality of basketball Georgia the five day level when South Gwinnett is in the top five nationally all year, beat Oak Hill Academy, the number one team in the country several weeks ago.
And they can't even make it to the semifinals of their own state playoffs.
Unbelievable.
Real well at the state in the corner fired a three And once again it's Florence.
These two of two behind the arc and that one gives Wheeler the six five lead Emerson cross time line up top they get it Butler Butler lost the Hornets loose on the floor have a squirrel Anderson Anderson challenges comes off has got the shot up but it's off the mark now They got four and out of bounds belongs to the Red Cross doing a good job handling the press initially but they you can't ever let up because Wheeler is not going to stop reaching in trying to steal that ball and going for it.
Absolutely.
That full court pressure is intense.
The way they get into the halfcourt set just to say Curry that's out of out of the corner, hands off his fires.
Got another three, three three pointers for the Wildcats early here.
They're threatening to shoot the lights out.
This would be the best shooting team Norcross has seen all year, no doubt about that.
They double, Anderson at the sideline.
Now Butler handles out front, right side.
He works his raises with the jumper Reamer off the ball cleared by Gonzales as it here come the Wildcats Curry sidesteps bounce pass flies watch another three steps it from about 15 with two bounces and high rebounds control by Norcross Florida with his first mix of the night.
He works for the right side on Curry all the way to the Citadel.
Shots off the mark rebounds clear by Florence outlet Curry They got a2113 Whiteside bounce pass Go look got it down low shot missed by on Butler back the other way for Norcross Out to the glass this offense away Curry challenges the two are one first lady by Curry never saw the basket but he had a sense of where he was good shooters always do steal with the backcourt by the Wildcats bounce pass Curry Whiteside challenges shotgun off but he'll go to the lob and charge this Norcross bunch is very athletic but I don't know if you want to just get in that here with take another look at this really unbelievable shot by Rashad What up coach Mark you're going to talk it over the pace no question.
Favors winner Blue Devils we thought would try to at least get him out of that right now.
Haven't had any success doing it.
But as his game progresses, look for the Blue Devils to try to slow the pace.
Well, one of the reasons they may want to do that, Wheeler is a very deep team, Charles.
Probably a decent team in five.
Hey, and those you know come fourth quarter it could show on Norcross so and Norcross an excellent team but again they're not quite the shooting team that we are is and they don't have quite the depth they rely on their defense.
And so, you know, they might want to slow it down, try to get their defense set up, try to stop, because we'll it's going to come down.
If they got the advantage on the break, they're going to score.
If you talk about the Norcross team and try to get some opinions about it, most people say the same type of thing.
The things that are seemingly negative, but a positive for Norcross, they're not very tall, not extremely quick, and they don't have a whole lot of scorers.
But that balanced attack that they have on both sides of the floor, that's what wins 31 ball games over the course of the year.
Well, you've got two of the best coaches in Georgia, there's no doubt about it.
Coach Lipscomb going for his third championship in four years and Andy Martin's had great teams, especially defensive teams everywhere.
He's Coach Corey.
You see his performance against the semifinal contests, 23 points in that one.
Curry has been really telling of this team throughout the playoffs because of his scoring and leadership on the floor converted up both their It's early, but Norcross needs a bucket here.
CHARLES Pressure continues by the Wildcats sneaks across the top line but on the far side of the floor out front now I believe it's Boston.
Oh, look at the foot movement on that Wheeler defense.
They've got some of the greatest defensive position I've seen on a high school team in a while.
MEEKS In fact, they had it stripped away, but a foul that'll be called.
They really steal those passing lanes and help out defensively.
All the young players tonight watching both these teams can really learn something about how to play defense.
All the part of the job is.
All right.
So let's talk about it.
I love the butler.
He saw the crowd and the thing that was pretty similar to false good.
They got the basket.
You talked about her, 37 wheeler with the lead and the basketball sorry left side bounce pass that obvious.
Got it in the corner Norcross with that showing two three defense has been off those tires the three from way downtown so that's what you're it's quickly across the front left side Now it's Anderson out at the block and the put it by Boston.
That's one way to keep Wheeler from running It's a score Charles keep him in that half court game That's two baskets by Norcross Curry back the other way runner for shots off the market There's a whistle around all the foul on Brett Butler Butler the guard for the Blue Devils Wheeler's the kind of team that can go off on you.
That's why I said that was an important basket a moment ago.
Charles They went on a 25 and oh run last night in that ballgame in the first and second quarter with 25 to 0.
I can put it up.
Curry got them both sit in the back court now, but we'll take this time now they break the time line up to these beats Whiteside WHISTLE but no trouble violations Wildcats got some defensive help backside by J.T.
Taylor So what's it like John at the block they go to the huddle back to the curb and go to the seven the no good that rebounds cleared by Anderson a little butler down Nice pass inside running the floor That was a very nice pass Charles and great hands by Emerson to keep it on the dead run and laid in softly with the left hand four point lead for Wheeler Now Norcross starting to settle things down at the block fly over Emerson Palmer is off the line rebounds cleared by Anderson They could cut a key to the basket This could lead on it raises with a double shot at had three players James off the glass fires a three this good shot as well the rebound controlled inside though by calling Gonzaga's history is I said I've never said had it it was kept airborne and it comes down to the blue devils right stop those knees Anderson lost it now saves it to Butler as he takes to the perimeter.
Got it on the glass out of there They got the Wheeler offense.
Our defense spread out a little bit that time Charles I don't know if it was an accident or not, but they managed to do it.
They opened up the lane.
That's a two point deficit now for the Blue Devils.
It's Curry and the Wildcats have it.
They're on the floor.
Curry right side.
Gonzaga It's hard and bounces out.
Wheeler hasn't scored hardly in their offensive set and that's why you got to slow him down out of the corner with the shot Anderson off the mark could have tied it with that curry back the other way with Steph for the Wildcats Cross the left side of the field off the mark whistles down low.
And Norcross has gotten back into this game by limiting Wheeler to one shot in the halfcourt offense and getting all the rebounds keeping the Wildcats off the board.
It's just look at coach Eddie Martin third season at score across three against three and cross with a chance to tie the ball game up Go ahead with a three from the butler down low They try to walk it inside the basket Emerson throws it away and the Wildcats will have it with 13 seconds remaining.
Curry handles all time slip.
He takes the last shot.
Now the two race of the three curry hits a shot of the 70, and that is where the first quarter ends with we were having a two point edge.
They lead it 50 to 13 over the Blue Devils and Norcross one quarter in the Bucks.
We'll take a timeout.
We'll come back and start the second spot.
We are back live at the arena for an excellent 1513 as we start the second quarter Wheeler leading Norcross five a championship wheeler looking to pick up its fourth title Norcross looking for its first butler upside down out of the corner it goes to Anderson inside Butler through the crowd and he draws a foul as well.
Before the shot, I believe Charles Blow, the foul was on B.J.
CORLEY passes or George Tiller, the solid on the tiller there it was before the shot.
They give it and go inside the paint as Bostic delivers off the mark comes off as clears for the Wildcats left side.
He's always got it airborne tapped out of out of the blue Devil defense.
No easy points in this ballgame just on the floor they go inside Cauley He's about to place a shot.
Got it to fall we go 1713 lead over the Blue Devils.
It broke off Looks down at the block goes Boston Boston can't convert wildcats back the other way sorry left side nice no look pass inside they work it over to the tiller His shot that gets his own rebound The put back is good tiller going to the line Good way to stay with it And Callie down on the other end with the big block kept Norcross in scoring they got it out and we'll see this hard work right here.
Let's call it Come over.
Yes, sir.
Five play down low by the Wildcats.
Defensively, they turn that into a basket, possibly a three point play.
As you look at JT Tyler on the season.
So the Wildcats now back up by seven right now across the time line gets trapped there threw it high and out of bounds Turtle over basketball back to the Wildcats the lob to Bolton off of the floor now he replaces Brett Butler The lot of Bolton just a fresh from for across slots right side locked up top killer all the time it's Curry's got a free look for 15 shot at hard rebounds pull it by curry though they get another look back to curry this time he makes him play right now call it getting the best of the big guys inside and that's going to be a huge factor for Wheeler court pressure by the Wildcats.
Bostic handles it to the force it all across the booth but taken away by the Wildcats Curry a43 reverse lay it was tempted by a an off the board rebounds cleared by Bostic and all across across he's slow it down and get a good shot Charles are in need of another basket here down nine turnovers that's not but two they look at the left side to walk out free in the corner for three that's Anderson delivers off the mark Bostic backside rebound picks up Watson's on the play He draws the foul inside Good job by Bostic No cross needed to get some points out of this trip down the floor Bostic at six three working hard on the inside.
Again, a testament to the Blue Devils that they got tall.
As you took a look at his performance of the season, 15 points, three rebounds, but they work awfully hard inside the paint.
Jefferson kind of had kind of a slow start last night.
Daniel Emmerson He really turned it on the second quarter, and that's when Norcross made their move last night against him to see if he can turn it up again.
Brad Allen onto the floor for the Blue Devils.
Anderson takes a seat off to work from the lob Wildcats back the other way, but diving over the table is worried.
Walker seems to be okay.
So the Blue Devils got Steve Rose attention over there from the USA and I know you don't want to see bodies dotted over the table anywhere near you drew a rough charge last year.
Charles took one for the team, no doubt.
Wildcats, they're to the floor.
They have a drought as up top 33 to 3.
Corey can't find To reach the outside, Everson clears the A shot beat back to Everson thought a Boston fuel fire three ball went down and popped out of that comes clear to Curry of the Wildcats but it's Jarvis and he has to save it knocked it off of Bostick out of bounds for 51 of eight first half right shots Lance handles guarded five weeks at the block and that's Lance free for the easy lamb we were off is just so active and continuing to move they found the free they had for the easy layup neat soft spot for the wild.
The Blue Devils will work for the right side against Garvin's often spins at traffic and he likes to have it on the travels up the field.
Of course Curry right side challenges groups this double header but he drew the foul back out to a nine point lead for well I believe that match is their biggest lead but Jerod Curry is going to go to the line for two Wildcats.
Just keep coming.
I'm coming at you We've got the first Well, they've got so many weapons, Charles.
They scored 118 points in one ballgame this year.
I think they had four or five players in double up around 20 points.
So they've got a lot of weapons for at seven points and two assists thus far in the ballgame.
118 points you're referring to is it a first round of it's Battle Creek?
They had eight players in double figures that night.
Herb, you're right, Led by Curry with 20 beats across the tired line.
But look back out on the floor for the Blue Devils out of the quarter to Alex Butler up top again it's left quarter to Bostic in the paint basket for five rivers off the mark but out of there for the put that could stops something on its tap They're out of sight of the it by heading up the floor to create upside curry boy one up three hardly bounces it off the line of our boy outlook and I know it frustrates coach Martin over their three little tip backs each player up around the basket and couldn't get it to drop in and they needed it Wildcats had it Hannah Watts right side shot rejected by Emerson inside Blue Devils with the basketball.
Blue Devils need a spark offensively but they're tied up you know that trapping decent to the Wildcats forces had to pick a time out that they've got to be anticipating that trap in the corners.
Charles Somebody has got to step it towards the head of the circle, give him somebody where he knows he can pass it perfectly.
EMMERSON Give him a big target.
But they they can't afford to pick up their dribble in the corners because Wheeler's going to be all over you.
Dude.
You're right.
That's the way that's how you mark their defense.
Just very intense as those blue devils are very balanced offensive team.
It'll do a whole lot of extra ordinary things, just do a lot of regular things on a consistent basis.
Georgia's longest running weekly high school Sports of Academics program Prep Sports Plus airs Thursdays evenings at 730 and Saturdays at 11 a.m. at 6:30 p.m..

That's prep sports.
Plus, returning next week exclusively on GPB.
Now back a lot of action, though, Butler across the timeline from across this important last 3 minutes here Charles you know Norcross would like to get it under double digits for psychological and Wheeler would like to get it on out a little further.
So let's watch what happened.
Meeks inside his shot, rejected by Callie.
Up the floor comes Crowley right side challenge in Butler got it to the some of the shots off the board He follows second shots off as well.
There's the follow and put back by Crowley He missed the Florida clears and now at the block, they get it inside and finally falling convert.
Well, the bounces seem to be going Wheeler's way right now.
Two or three guys hit it.
It seems the basketball we were playing with is a great move by me.
He gets to the door cross bounce pass down low in traffic as the bounce back to the Wildcats in traffic now look serious all cross they got a three on to Butler left side though look the basket back to Butler.
Butler shot swatted that got it down to Harrison Curry swatted it out of the way on his way up for sure Sherrard Curry blocks a67 shot is great quickness.
Got to get that one on the way up That's only way the Wildcats will keep it though Bostic on the move right side all the way to the rock class shuts off goes out of bounds with a stay with the Blue Devils.
Well, Coach Eddie Martin's got to feel like the rim is going to be a little kinder to him sometime down the road.
They have sure had a lot of balls for him out.
NORCROSS Blue Devils out front.
Let's take it away.
The ball pass and a whistle of a play.
Butler and Florence were vying for that basketball.
They call the foul on Butler.
LAWRENCE with the inside position.
Right.
Call by the official right in front of us ten point wildcat lead absolving out of the quarter draws the trap out of Florence Florence quickly right side to the her and he got it the fall just beat Allen and the help of Emerson back side here comes Meeks down at the block to Boston This is inside the paint push off down low Now Daniel Emerson has got to get himself involved in this offense.
Charles They've got to have something out of the big guy inside right now.
He's not getting the ball.
He's not able to get much off the boards while stuck to the line that at 25 of the league's first half, this is all the front on the right, four points, three rebounds for a season one of two from the line.
It's always out front talking to get left side now across the floor with the pass the corner at the block Florence finding it up shots off of level some clears these quickly across the table on the right side Butler Butler to the glass flops off whistles down low We got to push off by Buckeyes more forces forcing it Charles at their three on for two on three quite often on the break to get the ball out but there's always more Wildcats down on their end of the floor and that makes it tough to score and tough to get an offensive rebound.
It's really a tribute to Norcross that they're still in this ballgame.
They could be as good a team as they are.
I mean, they have to be to the stadium with a team like Wheeler with no crosses not really playing well, I don't have a whole lot of bounces going away, as you have to say.
The Wildcats down all those lights out he goes with the pass bar.
Sorry.
The key defenders stepped away nicely by Walker.
Now it's loose on the floor.
Going to stay Wheeler's ball looks like it will stay with the Wildcats with the defensive effort by Morris Walker to see Lawrence in the corner with Bounds at five with a Gonzaga.
Oh, they call the foul of flat out.
Here's a seven.
Galvez with the penetration he'll go to the line that's going to be a one and one.
It's one point ALAVÉS the second leading scorer for the Wildcats tonight, eight points, three rebounds and already committed University of South Carolina, upstate located in Spartanburg.
Coincidentally, they got it from the lead.
3118 Wildcats with the lead.
Meeks right side tried to get it down a lot basket threw it out of bounds once again trying to force the action against that great wheeler defense.
He's got to slow it up and see what the defense is going to give you.
He down 13.
You needed the bucket there.
See if Wheeler plays for the final shot of the first half.
All those out front now looks at the flames for at 20 seconds out of the corner.
Boy here at ten to dissolve his way out 507 It those possible right side of the paint got it up to the senator drops off the ball kept it out.
That brings us to the end of the first half at the break.
Wildcats leading at 3118.
They've got to be real happy about the first half results.
Well, great action there.
As we mentioned, Norcross had some bad luck with the bounces and ball's not falling in the rim, but get wheel of credit, it's anybody's ballgame in the second half.
Charles.
Phil Proctor standing by.
The coach left to fill.
All right, I got Coach.
Listen, come over here, Coach, You got a lead right now.
Are you getting everything out of your team that you won?
No.
We got to do a better job of executing down the other end and play better defense.
Has Norcross showing you anything that you didn't expect?
Oh, they're going to continue to play hard.
Play hard in the second half.
I know they're a second half team.
All right.
Well, good luck to you.
Go second half.
All right, Charles, back to you.
Okay.
Thank you.
Feel coach lifts the back.
Really Charles, you hold a undefeated team 18 points in the half, but he says we got to improve.
Our offense is a tough task.
The bad guys at the break 30 what 18 Wildcats lead it.
We'll step aside, come back with the halftime show.
Stay with us.
Championship weekend rolls on here at the arena at Gwinnett Center There you see the halftime score will are leading Norcross 31 to 18.
Welcome back, everybody.
I'm Jim Tanaka.
So now it's time to go courtside to the principal's office.
And Phil Proctor, you know, you always do like to talk about their principles off as well.
I am with the principals right now, Joe Bolan from Wheeler High School and also Marianne Sharon from Norcross.
And I will always start with the lady first.
Tell us, what's it been like around Norcross this week?
Well, Phil, it has been probably one of the most exciting weeks we've had.
Our team has had the motto all year, one team, one goal, and then we took it to one school, one team, one goal.
So we have really been focused, the kids have been focused and it's really spread out throughout the whole school.
It's been great.
How long have you guys been in the school that you're in now?
This is our fourth year in that beautiful new building and it's gorgeous.
It's really something the kids are very, very proud of.
They just truly have great pride in that facility.
It's amazing.
And how big is your student body?
Our student body is about 2700 at this time, and it's always growing when you live in wonderful Gwinnett.
What tell me something about some of those academic programs you got.
Norcross is the only school in Gwinnett County to offer the International Baccalaureate program.
As a result of that, we have kids at Harvard, Yale, M.I.T.
and it's really an exciting program.
We won the Access to Education award by the College Board because we had the highest number of students in the entire Southeast to take AP tests and to score well on those AP tests.
So we have some amazing programs going on at Norcross.
Well, you guys are doing some great things over there.
NORCROSS And I bet they're doing some great things over Willard, too.
Is that right, Mr. Bolt?
I couldn't hear you there.
Are you doing some great things over there?
Will have doing all right.
We're doing all right.
What's your enrollment over there?
We're about 1880.
And tell me some about the programs you got going.
Well, basketball's the most important thing tonight.
And but we've had kids from across the street at the Civic Center and robotics competition.
So they're very important to us and they'll compete again tomorrow.
So, you know, we're working hard academically and working hard athletically and glad to be here against an undefeated Norcross team.
They're they're great.
And how's that?
Will the community being with all the excitement going on?
Well, Wheeler, we just look to the next game.
I don't think the coach doesn't get too excited about things.
It's just all about the next game playing as hard as he can.
And so the student body, these are nice kids and they're an easy team to root for because of the way they play and the way they conduct themselves in the hallways and in the classroom.
So we're very excited to be here.
And there are a lot of people here tonight that have been following us all through the state tournament all season.
Really?
Well, I noticed that you brought a friend along with who is this is a scratch.
Scratch is it all of our basketball games and all of our football games?
I'll scratch as a fan favorite and all the little kids like Scratch.
Scratch is pretty nice and we're glad to have him here.
He's a great student and I didn't say a whole lot, but he's good to have around.
Well, that's good.
I mean, we kind of like scratch just doing this thing right there.
Well, I like to just.
Thank you, Mr. Bolek.
I'd like to thank you.
And it's back to you, Jim.
All right, thanks.
I'll be careful.
Scratch over there.
Okay.
Hi.
Big second half coming up between Norcross and Wil.
Let's throw it back to Charles Ward and Herb White.
And thank you, Jim.
Herb, Good first half of basketball for the Wildcats.
A wheeler seemingly got everything done on the floor.
They want it.
Yeah.
Norcross hung in there for a little while, but the turnovers killed him.
And that's where Wheeler makes their living.
CHARLES They get the turnovers and they're able to go down in and finish on the fast break and they just convert those turnovers into points.
Now, if you can slow him down and get him in the halfcourt offense, you heard Coach Lipscomb say and we didn't execute that well in the half court.
So we take a look at some of the first half highlights.
It started out hard from behind the cylinder there.
Jodie Meeks with the first three of the ball game for the ball, but Florence answers right back for the Wildcats once and twice from behind the arc for Weaver now to have it out again it's good to as he got into the three point shooting fest in that first half.
Now look at that shot by Curry on the penetration the no look down low the defensive work by Hannah results in the other end they got it down low to Tiller who missed on the first but the second effort was good for the basket battled back down leather was look at that play in the first half that time Florence able to get the lane and from the backside we stand 3118 at the break All right well evidently both teams playing pretty good defense each team at about 30% shooting field goal percentage from three point a little bit of difference Wheeler has to rebounds and Norcross his favor unbelievably but the turnovers you see Wheeler Norcross has nine turnovers Wheeler has one that's just the difference in the ball.
The danger Wheeler is converting the turnover to D.J.
Wright turnovers at nine Look at the free throws eight of nine for Wheeler coming off some of those turnovers as well Curry with of points two rebounds two assists thus far in the ballgame 3118 your score at the intermission we step aside for a time out Welcome back get you started of the third half we are back live at the arena Antoinette Center getting ready to start the third period 3118 wheeler leading it I feel proctor standing by with coach Eddie Markell.
That's right.
I'm here with the coach.
Coach, you 13 points down.
What did you tell your team at halftime?
Oh, we got to start doing a better job getting the ball inside.
We're not attacking the rim at all.
We're selling four jump shots right now and we're not sticking to jump shot.
We got to do a little bit better job of getting the ball inside and try to get Emerson involved in our offense.
Good luck to you in the second half goes.
All right, Charles, back to you.
Thank you, Phil Herb, no brainer there from Coach Barton.
If everson's out of the ball game, it's difficult for Norcross to win.
Yeah, they've only shot four free throws and that's why they're settling for the jump shots.
And it's not going to get done when you're not making them.
We look at they're not getting any offensive rebounds either.
I'll tell you what, the Norcross cheerleaders, we're over here.
They have this crowd at a fever pitch, kept them going all through the halftime.
Those folks haven't given up.
And I tell you, the crowd's been building in here all afternoon.
We've got almost the whole bottom section filled.
It's a great atmosphere.
And let's see what Norcross can get going here.
All it will take is a little spark on the floor, the clouds behind them.
Norcross was started out on offense right side Butler with the basketball now beats at the block go on inside the episode to try to get it back and he missed all the shot that rebound scored by Curry in the wildcat florets behind the arc for three This one looks short and is rebound cleared by Meeks We got to push on the so no turnover there and nice job by Norcross getting it inside Emmerson he couldn't get it down but that's exactly what coach Eddie Martin's looking for They'll keep it in there until they start to get the results they want.
Wildcats back to full court pressure.
Anderson handles point lead leaders thus far.
Brown got by Boston good for number city up for those up for the Wildcats watching the blue blue devils at all costs as the Wildcats get another basket off another turnover Charles of the floor take it away they try to get it to beat Curry's got a 300 plus allowed Nick Lowe foul out front for Wheeler in that first half Lance with ten points Curry had seven Crawley with six Dobbs Alvez with five.
Well, it started on fire behind the arc for Wheeler.
Coach Smart getting the timeout early in this and he's going to settle those guys down Two turnovers.
Charles And it's killing them.
It's absolutely killing them and a couple of iffy passes.
This championship game can also be viewed live on the Internet site around the world at WW dot GB dot org.
Just follow the links to connect to the game.
Every game will also be archived and available later on the website as well.
That's WW dot GB storage.
If you go to the website it's really cool Charles because they've got every every game has broken down into frames each play you can stop it pick out a player you want to see and then start it right there.
It's just an amazing bit of technology that our folks have come up with.
It's a great way to watch a sporting event of your right.
You can get selected parts of it and just watch what you want.
I've done it once or twice.
You're right.
And you can even tune out the color guys if you want to go across back on the floor 709 or at 8/3 quarter.
Wildcats have the basketball involved.
The controversial right corner about of Florence bounce pass in traffic out of bounds at a stay with the Wildcats resolve is out front picked up immediately by Boston to block the calling back to Gonzaga.
They just got it the fall tough guy leave that came off the top of the corner of the backboard.
Charles I believe he used every inch of the backboard here.
I don't think he called that one from their beaks up top of our thoughts.
Part of the glass left side he missed three that's clear but pointed out that perhaps once they got it through out to the right side, Corey Curry tried to tough it down low at the no look pass to Hannah out of bounds but touched by not cross with the kind of shot they need getting in the paint still can't get it to go down though there's a lid on it Lawrence handles now Curry That's right.
It's got curry outside rather other teams off the mark Everson clears fedora across by the walk at inside the Everson But he's the double team All you have to swing the ball quick the way they're playing him is going to find him out of the corner What the jumper Nicely done at the baseline by Reggie Anderson.
You got to run this all over the floor.
It's just so off the ball.
He looks by Boston.
He's got to worry about lines.
Lawrence at the baseline stepped on the up by the basketball back to the blue devils That was great half about Florence though missed the jump shot came all the way over after the Norcross player got the rebound and stole it.
La Crosse got a break there.
They will get the basketball off the left side.
He goes with the pass Madison Anderson to the rack to take it away ever since coming through with it.
But he's got the lead curry back the other way.
The job is over Anderson to protect it by Ed Brooke Emmerson looked at the official right there, thought something had happened, took about three steps, realized there was no whistle, tried to pass it, but it was too late.
That's what he was signaling to coach.
Barton said he thought he heard a whistle.
So the Wildcats grab a break with that.
The Galvez bounce pass curry at the block Curry Butler Butler looks up at the shot Basketball comes clear to Anderson That's great defense by Butler there Bostic left side to the right we got it late in 3524 down at the right.
Butler taps it away from the header.
It'll stay with the Wildcats.
Blue Devils begin to sense a little momentum.
Got to keep it going lots and miles Gibbs obviously leaving three three for three He gets on the shot Anderson clears up the floor.
Boston he restricted Boston to the glass and he got the lead.
That's a great rebound.
An outlet pass.
Daniel Emerson they're in great body control by Bostick forces the timeout by Coach Lipscomb and the Wildcats and that's the first time Norcross has forced a timeout and that's got to give them a little boost.
Charles, you talked about it.
The crowd, look at him right behind us.
They are into this ball game.
They're waiting on something from the players.
They're that young man, Daniel Emerson, giving them something now to cheer about up the floor.
He went to Bostic.
Has Bostic with a great balance, able to get that lead over GONSALVES This is a Gwinnett County crowd.
CHARLES It's not just NORCROSS There's a lot of Collins Hill folks, because when Norcross came out during the Collinsville game, they got a huge ovation from the Collins folks.
So Gwinnett County folks pulling for their home county team makes for great basketball.
Yes, sure does.
Going back and forth, the fans against each other, The players against each other.
It's just a great atmosphere.
It doesn't get any better than high school basketball.
Louisville is making a run.
As you look at the arena here, the go with that center, those are some of the Norcross faithfuls.
They're a great facility for basketball.
Charles, And so is making that place will be rockin tomorrow night.
We're going to be looking for some great games down there for sure.
Looking forward to it.
You going down tonight?
I think I'll go in the morning.
Think folks will be tired of us after about four or five games?
I have no choice but to check the website, see what kind of hits we're getting.
Let's just hope the games are good.
They will be.
We can almost assure you that Wildcats, after the time out, see what they came up with.
Corey trying to take this crowd out of it.
Right side, always.
Now back to Florida.
Try to do that.
To block the play.
An attempt is off the mark.
Rebound comes clear, the corner hits, shuts off the ball.
Finally cleared by Butler the Blue Devils Butler left side Boston Boston rigorously in it he got it that's it the great play and some of the bounces are starting to go north cross his way now off the rack just like you talked about he tried to fly from down he missed the three point basket clears his plays with a rocket they get a basket here Boston Buffalo to the back half.
Well, just as Norcross was getting some in and out shots on their three pointers in the first half, Jarrad Curry three pointer comes out there.
Norcross comes up with the rebound.
So things starting to go Norcross way a little bit.
Seven point game they're back in it now they got to keep going Knicks standing just in front of us.
What about the basketball?
Not many substitutions in this ballgame either, Charles.
It's going to be some tired players in the fourth quarter.
How are you going?
What got you here?
But the left side, alley oop down low for Meeks, They tapped it away.
When it comes clear to Anderson, Anderson fought it up.
Shot, rejected pass Emerson, second shot.
It's off the board.
I'm looking by the Wildcats but we got a whistle down low.
It'll stay with the Blue Devils.
They got the grab Emerson had the rebound, looked like he was fouled.
Kind of a late whistle, but it was the right call.
And I agree with you.
Yeah.
Huge basket for Norcross.
If they can convert this time, man, it's looking inside.
They force it out front.
The butler above the left side.
This is Boston basket to Meeks are trying to get it to everyone at the block.
The guy who missed it got cannon clears and here comes the Wildcats got a three on to Gibson as well going to kick on Bostick there Bostick stuck the leg out left side after I got a call a foul up later.
I don't know what Bostick was trying to That's just a tired player right there.
Same thing with Emerson on the other end.
Just a little bit of fatigue there.
Lead.
You're right, Herb left of the cylinder at the block.
His hand it's better goes in and comes out.
Rebound comes to CORLEY.
He was fouled on the putback It may be this basket at this end I'm telling you it's tough to get the ball to get down in there.
But real seven remains in the third quarter, the most sustained effort by the Blue Devils offense thus far.
The ball game allowed him to get it right back close at 3548 ball.
He hits the first all seven soprano ranks from the surveys that way as he misses on the second Anderson outlet pass move quickly left side good job of battling it out there they didn't have the numbers it's beginning to emphasize that they can run it by calling it back side help from Gonzales That's outside Boston.
Boston love the blue, though, sandwiched between two players came through the embassy shots off the line.
Second half, it rejected basketball for the Wildcats exclusive the right side to the basket with the quickly it's tough it's a big swing there four point swing.
Emerson couldn't get it down.
Wheeler scores in a hurry but with a basket crossed it on to get it.
Anderson He's got the layup for the Blue Devils as they're racing it up and down the floor and out of today's right side behind the pick for three because it holds the way downtown That's a great pick Charles he called it got him wide open saw the second leading scorer for the Wildcats, knocked out a big three there and the Blue Devils answer here at the two minute from eight for the quarter spins to the block lost the dribble tried to bounce it to embassy.
That is correct.
Yes.
All right.
Now Tyler takes a seat.
Some players breathe it hard out there.
Charles.
I'm done seeing some guys grabbing their shorts and bounce pass to Boston now at the block to give it Anderson Anderson off the hook.
Scott Whiteside over the outstretched arms of Cauley used all the glass on that one up top.
Now Hannah had those for the Wildcats on the cut It's Florence back side Curry Curry got it to the senator somehow he was fouled first Norcross is going to want to keep this under double digits because you go into that fourth quarter you don't want to look up there and see a ten plus lead.
So important minute and 20 here for the Blue Devils.
Curry got the shooter's roll all the first look.
It's a ten point lead for the Wildcats as Morris Walker comes over floor for the Blue Devils will replace Reggie Adams.
So there's a lot of this start The second Evertsen clears over to means he had a hit from behind Still comes away to the Wildcats class Take it away he'll come back the other way to curry on curry over Butler shot Look check up Butler the paint florets created all of that by tapping that basketball from behind on Anderson to get it on the Wildcats out of the floor now Gonzaga's for three best off the shot backside rebound though to Callie Cauley Stein here.
Relentless relentless pressure by the Wheeler team They just keep coming at everything Bostic back court he lost his dribble now up with the pass to Everson Everson through the arms and Walker on the pass again fatigue.
Emerson should have taken a couple dribbles they're drawing the defensive man he decided just to turn around and throw it too hot to handle coach in 30 seconds remaining third quarter Florence out front over to Curry largest lead of all game thus far for Wheeler they got a chance to add to it at the end of the third period Curry right side now I don't know the paint of the download nicely done, but the shot was missed by Crawley.
There's a put back, it's off.
Curry follows.
He missed as well, finally cleared by the arrow whistle down low Colorado had a 13 3/10 of a second with 82 that time they got a shot off I believe stole it away.
They had the ball past it.
So at the end the three wheeler still leads it.
4432 They've built some distance between themselves and the Blue Devils with their cross wheel.
Step aside for time out.
We'll bring you the final quarter for the five championship.
Well, the arena at the way that's a I wish that I could fly to the sky just like a dragonfly.
We are back at the arena at the Kodak Center.
We were leading at 4432 over the Blue Devils, a dark cross five, a state championship.
Charles Ward, Herb White still practice with the play call down the case is Charles.
Let's see what Norcross has left in the tank.
They got to suck it up, see if they can get back in this ballgame.
They got time.
Florence Bright side for the Wildcats.
Wildcats winners at the title A Lady for 2003.
And they did it again.
And two fouls for you in 2002 at 12.
Three Blue Devils looking for their first Blue Devils undefeated over the course of the regular season.
This is the one that matters right size Florence for the Wildcats hard to the glass he got the layup and he draws a foul Excellent use of the glass You're right Charles put it up really high with the soft touch dropped it in and that's just what Norcross did not want to see to begin this half a quarter.
James Bostic providing that offensive coverage, but too late getting at the block.
Florence rattles at it.
It falls good.
And that's when you can look for Wheeler to spread the floor.
Let's Jerod Curry take the ball control the tempo much like we saw in the Mays game toward the end of the ballgame Spread the floor and use their quickness and see if they if Norcross can do anything about it.
JT Taylor back on the floor for the Wildcats Wildcats eight for four pressure Boston coverage across the pad line for the lacrosse Now at the block he goes to Butler Butler with a no look pass down a little walk off the best of the lay it got its own rebound based on the second that he'll be going to the line for every point precious now for Norcross need to convert his free throws this is also the season just over three points ball game where he missed the first of two well forgot the second 40.0 left block this quarter guarded by Everson.
Oh yeah.
That's Calvillo.
That's not going to go against the Wildcats tendency to call the officials in front of him in the team called it out Cauley, I believe down low.
Push it off.
Everson So the Wildcats give it over the Blue Devils with a chance to cut it to that 14 point deficit.
Butler inside the paint over to Walker Walker hit the blocked shot swatted by quarter but he's a little Wildcats up the floor Detroit they left it behind Jarvis back for Johnson thank you travel the story got it down Charles he's your right call he's done a great job inside for Wheeler tonight He's had about four or five blocks and he's changed a lot of shots, some slick passing by Norcross to get some good looks.
But t.j.
Call is there every time Butler and the backcourt of Austin left side big spark of the glass at the corner whistle on the play down about Wildcats giving the Blue Devils an opportunity to get back in it right now Blue Devils their worst enemy and a right side now with give it a over the tiller killer with the jumper left at short rebounds cleared by Anderson and it's a right shot at traffic hawks to do that and he got the shot to fall about three or four feet away.
Puts it doubled him down at the baseline step right through it that Zavos back the other way try to answer that the three Evans clears the Eric shop that might have been a little quick on that shot Charles Boston rounded the corner hit the jumper for three Anderson missed on it cleared by Crawley another opportunity there for Norcross couldn't convert but it cut it under devils with that three tiller in the paint bounces down low with the pass the corner reverse lay opposite side of Ellison's defense and Wheeler spreading the floor as we mentioned, starting to get some good looks makes across the top line running left side left it sure Alex is up to third Curry will challenge Butler for Ted the rubber is off the mark Everson snatches it away for the Blue Devils Boston sharper right side that shots off beats with the put backs up whistles down low doesn't absolve is guilty of the foul 13 Let's get the wreath laid out low Brenton Butler and Reggie Anderson so tired they couldn't even get down the floor to play offense that time.
And when you see guys bent over grabbing those shorts, Charles, you know it's fatigue and you can't blame the players.
I mean, they're in great shape.
This has just been an unbelievably intense, fast paced game.
Previous free throw about beat showed it as well by points, three rebounds overnight.
Second, what he got out of the false six since the Blue devils took the time out 4 minutes 47 seconds left in the ballgame get the set the blue Devils have a sense of urgency right now.
Herb.
They're hustling it down the floor, but still with enough time to be selective about the shots.
Yeah, there's.
I mean, there's time for them to get and pull this ball game out.
It's not going to be easy, but there's certainly time.
13 points with almost 5 minutes.
It's viewers like you that help make great local programs like these high school basketball championships possible.
But Georgia Public Broadcasting to show your support simply visit our website at WW w dot gpb dot org.
It's totally secure.
Simple to use it takes just 2 minutes.
And thank you for supporting Georgia Public Broadcasting.
It I love the fans here those are Wheeler faithfuls here.
Here you see tomorrow morning 9:30 a.m. M Charles the second broadcast of the RSP Wheelchair Championship on Georgia Public Broadcasting last year was a great event and we're looking for the same this year.
And you can't have more fun than tune in and watch those going at it.
Some some fine athletes that'll start the day off the ball at 930.
Now to make it all right every possession goal now Wildcats cross to the left side in the paint part of the glass is killer but he then scored the shot basketballs loose and a couple of over the Wildcats curry with the jumper from outside It's off the ball rebound Bob ball cleared by the ball cross will get a break there The travel by Hannah Wildcats just a bit more aggressive and the blue Devils at this point they continue to show that full court pressure.
Bostick gives it up to reach Butler out of the quarter now Anderson for three shot at right back on the rebound comes clearly Curry had the wildcat curry with the bounce pass right side the Korver back to Curry for three and he missed that Evertsen clears it back to Boston right side spinning in the paint some of it somehow and he got it to fall but they're really on defense and back the other way was an easy lay it was killer blue devils just kind of drift it back after the lay in that was a killer.
Charles just got a great bucket, a little momentum left and then give up the easy on the other end by not getting back defensively.
And it's tough to get back offensively when you can't get in the air.
I'm beginning to think Wheeler's going to press Norcross all the way out to their bus after the game tonight.
They have been at that press all game long, voting, showing a little sit down and fatigue.
Take a look at that play on the other end.
Look at the spin on the inside ad the finish by Bostick.
Nobody turn around to pick up the ball though for Norcross and an easy layup for Wheeler right after that.
So it's been pretty much a tie ballgame for about the last quarter and a half.
You know, Wheeler's had that lead about where it is.
Norcross just can't cut into it as glass comes across the top line, George with a rally and he's out of the park that's one nail their leader going to stay in their offensive rhythm as well.
They are not trying to take any time off the clock right now.
They're getting the basket.
Butler slipped out of the backcourt.
Tyler Jump Ball is going to be tied at a state with a lot of speed, right, Charles?
And that's a great point to make because a lot of times you see coaches take their teams out of the offense, try to slow it down some and they'll lose their offensive rhythm the other team and get back in it.
But you're right, Wheeler may have slowed it down a tad, but they're still in their offense looking to score.
But the left side, Muhtar about what the shot is.
Anderson to the cylinder it's off the bar.
They fight for it.
It's out of bounds.
It belongs to the Wildcats once again TJ Cauley there with those long arms to alter those inside shots by Norcross cause the Miss Curry in the back court had a tap out of bounds levels try to get something they go to that full court pressure try to get something on defense and that's B.J.
Cauley, by the way, not TJ excuse me Telo across the top blocked Speights left side go get him for the arena call them I believe they did call the carry they just wanted to get one in one before the tournament was over Charles to 31 eight Anderson across the floor Epperson fires at it rejected in the air good blocked by calling it Well it's too bad we don't have stats on blocked shots because I believe Paul is probably approaching about double digits in blocked shots.
He has really played well tonight on defense.
Cauley really has.
That's been his trademark all season long.
The shot blocker for the Wildcats and we got a hold on the inbounds pass going to be a one on one with his team's Wildcats leading at 5338.
They'll send Florida to the lodge and hats off to coach Doug Lipscomb with the Wildcats.
They've come in and they played their game from start to where we are right now.
The contest this to safety to defeat the comets the high flying pockets of soft it up in the quarterfinals.
In all fairness, which is out tonight, we do have to mention that their point guard was out of that ballgame, who when they played Oak Hill, he had about ten or 12 points in the last quarter and really won that Oak Hill game for himself.
That was really a tough blow for them to have.
Not that we look couldn't have beat them anyhow, but definitely had it part of the outcome in that ballgame that they did.
After that you got Blue Devils with beats at the back court continue to get that rallied as Wildcat freshman.
Wow beats to the rack let's call the shot rebounds clear by quarter Pauly had to take it away and it's a cut up got to put back for those blue devils Here comes curry just as quick back the other way Curry works it to the glass he was fouled That's a great crossover dribble a nice match up to see him against Bray from the last ball win My goodness we got to run the game back in slow motion just so people can watch.
All right, quick feet tonight, eight points and four rebounds.
And speaking of athletes, I'm going to tell you, I haven't seen and we've seen a lot of great girl basketball players in eight years.
We've been doing these games, Charles But Maya moore, a sophomore for Collins Hills, the state champions, I'm telling you, she could be the all time greatest before she's finished.
I am really impressed with that young lady.
Congratulations to ladies of College Hill.
They won the championship previous to this ballgame, Beat out them for the rest of the film.
Good for Curry.
Excellent side.
They all come back out right side.
This last.
Well, no, quit in the North Cross team, that's for sure.
Still down there, strapped in.
They're up against it now with a minute, 23 and a 14 point deficit, Anderson.
Guilty of the foul.
Tough way to end it for an undefeated season, too, Charles.
And big, you're right.
But, you know, when you leave it all out on the floor and you face a team like Wheeler, you just say, hey, they beat us tonight.
They were the best team tonight.
And you don't hold your head down for long.
When that happens, you're absolutely right that both teams skated with a lot at stake.
And the 31 at old record by the Blue Devils looking to get their first state title and to become the first team to go at the it sets the way to go to the 1985 Wildcats were looking for their fourth state title there to be all their way to get it third in four years.
Charles I guess.
I guess that's a dynasty.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You got to start virtually that.
Never it into the fourth four times or three that was off the mark Butler with the backside rebound whistles at the paint butler to the line We haven't had a chance to bits of this because the action spins so fast pace but Butler the son of former NFL quarterback Bobby Butler, the tight shot of his face will show that family resemblance.
Well I'll tell you right now, the way we played tonight, they'd have blown out anybody else.
But no, of course, I believe Butler got it.
Both Wildcats surely have played their A-game.
Curry backcourt pressure, a time up jump balls called Arrow favors.
The Wildcats.
Curry left side to after you Under a minute the names of the five eight Championship Wildcats will claim their fourth nothing over Norcross now but to chase foul Stephen Curry was fouled that trip down the floor.
He'll go to the line a lot of people think Jarrad Curry as far as the backcourt players just not very far behind Louis Williams and Mike Mercer from south Gwinnett Curry had an outstanding playoff war.
The Wildcats had 35 of the semifinals.
All gave state team the quarterfinal contest, 31 to the second round in of the first round 20 points.
So has carried the Wildcats throughout the playoff series.
Florence takes a seat as Curry converts are the second now Sherrod Curry, the savior leader of the Wildcats.
It's a congratulatory high five from Coach Lipscomb that goes to the sideline for his final time as a wildcat, doing it as a championship, winning big, lost in the shot that took the Wildcats back to the other way.
What's this low?
We're at 41 seconds remaining.
Well, I'm not sure where Sherrod Curry is going to end up at the next level, but he'll be playing somewhere and and playing well for somebody in the future.
Charles And speaking to Lewis Williams and Mike Mercer, a lot of speculation about Lewis Williams.
Will he go pro or will he save the Bulldogs a lot of hopefuls.
It Alex, some nasty comments by some of our production people.
Definitely not Bulldog fans, but we'll let that go.
Mark Cortez at the lab.
Hey, Mike Mercer is going to be a great player for the University of Georgia.
You know, you got that one right there.
They shoot across the floor firing.
The jump shot was Boston there for the put back.
He was fouled.
He'd go to the line.
Yeah, that the savior for the Blue Devils.
He certainly didn't want it to end this way for him Emerson Bay going on playing for the western Kentucky beat.
You're right already committed to that program.
A lot of Division one players in high school basketball in Georgia this year, Charles, are just all over the place.
We're going to see some more of them tomorrow night, Dan, and make it out.
Guarantee you, sir, we'll have the two or three eight but got were a lot more foul there.
They could've started the ball off.
Do you like this up tempo ball tonight.
He's tall.
I'll bring you some more tomorrow night.
You bet on it.
I've seen that.
You're right, Wildcats left side mixing fires with three and he drops it a. Sophomore.
He won't remember that both pitchers have cleared in terms of those other players as curry Johnny Curry for the Blue Devils handles out front really subs not going to give up anything I'm going to tell you this is for some notoriety for the coach for next year and bragging rights when you get back to school on Monday.
The Curry converts.
So the first great job by officiating crew tonight.
Stay in a game like this up and down the floor with the quickness of these athletes.
They've done a great job.
Also great job as usual by our production staff say they make this a lot easier.
Sit here at this table curry with the steal for the Wildcats final shot of the ballgame We the Wildcats with the five eight championship state of Georgia year 2004 2005 6347 over the Blue Devils and Norcross then look like Wheeler's taking their championships for granted even after winning three in the last four years.
Every one of them is special.
Nobody has a question about that.
Fourth for coach Doug Lipscomb.
At his step, added Weaver, they wanted a 2000 at 2003, and they put it again here at 2005.
The senior Sherrard Curry.
One of the main reasons for that led this team all long and did a great job of the playoffs and another fine job by Curry today.
But they'll be talking about what the Wildcats did defensively in terms of shut it down.
Daniel Everson and the rest of the Blue Devils.
They definitely impose their will on a fine, fine Norcross team, nothing to hang their head about.
They just ran into a buzzsaw and this Wheeler club had the momentum going after beating South Gwinnett.
Their confidence was sky high and then they just kept it rolling.
The beads arrived.
They beat them to the quarter final out and they got the series.
They won it tonight.
And I feel Proctor standing by with Coach Doug Lipscomb.
Right.
I'm here with the winning coach coaching this team.
How's it feel?
Good Football.
And thank God for blessings.
And we'll say hello to my mother and grandmother in Gainesville.
And we want to send out our condolences to Charles Earls.
Jane Earls and this Earls, Mr. Earls, passing to the mother.
I'm very happy for our kids and I just can't say enough.
They played their hearts out.
We had some lapses.
We weathered the storm and we made it happen.
And that real community, it's a pretty tight community.
Very much.
