It's the 2008 Class 5A State football championship as the 12 and to Peachtree Ridge, Lions out of region.
7, take on the Camden County, Wildcats out of Region, 3 game 5 of 5 here live on GPB.
This weekend.
Two sets of fans have made their way into the Dome one from 20, Georgia the other from Kingsland, Georgia and a good evening, everyone.
Dave Garner alongside Georgia, Bulldog, great NFL player DJ Jones.
Two teams meeting for the first time here tonight and DJ the state's number one offense belongs to Camden County and they'll meet some stiff resistance tonight against that Peachtree.
Ridge defense.
Absolutely.
And you know what, when you Peachtree Ridge coming in here as an underdog, you know, You got a lot to prove because a lot of folks didn't think that they would make it here.
Absolutely, let's go ahead and talk about the alliance here a little bit.
They've got athletes all over the field and they're coming off a very emotional double overtime semi final game last week against Grayson.
That's the guy the QB right there, Nick Lombardo, he's a small guy stature, but you know what?
He's smart, he's bright.
He manages the game.
Well, of course he had a great year with Statistics over 1,400 yards, passing nearly 60 percent completion percentage.
This young man has thrown 12 touchdowns this year and of course he's done.
Great job in leading the offense for the Lions.
Now, Kevin Mentor.
He's the guy that already committed to LSU.
He's gonna graduate early, he's 61 240 pounds and of course, he's the guy that will be flying around.
As of course, you'll be seeing him in just a little bit.
Of course, coach Bill Ballard the second year, head coach at Peachtree Ridge, has done a remarkable job and we caught up with Coach Ballard earlier in the week to get the game plan and talk about what we can expect tonight from the Lions.
Okay, offensive ly.
We're, you know, An i-team, we base out of the eye, but we also will spread it out some and, you know, throw the ball.
We've got a real big running back and Ronnie Smith.
He's about 230 pounds and we like to give the ball to him on you know, the beer and the belly option plays and Nick Lombardo's, our quarterback, you know, he runs option.
Well reads it well and Brandon Stanley plays tailback, he will get the ball to him when we pitch it so well.
Around the triple option a little bit and then we we throw the ball a little bit off of that and that's basically what you're going to see on offense defensively.
We're but we'll base out of a 34 and we've got outside linebackers that are going to be open on the ball though as well.
You know on the line with her hand down probably especially against Camden County because they're you know wing-t team and they'll you know give you the power sets and heavy sets.
So we're going to have to have the guys up.
Up playing playing on line of scrimmage coach Ballard a one-time assistant under Jeff hearing.
And speaking of the Camden County, Wildcats DJ, let's take a look at these guys right here.
The number one offense in the state as we talked about, they also have a good defense, they've got athletes all over the field.
You're right and of course when you've won the true Wing T offense, you got a guy, there Greg Baker, he's been wearing their best running backs on and they run have a running back by committee, but he's been playing hurt the last couple of weeks.
Hopefully tonight, he's healthy.
He's nearly 1,000 yards.
Rushing, of course.
Stands out with him, he averages over 10 yards per touch, that's outstanding 18 touchdowns to go with it.
On the defensive side of things Gavin, Oliver is the senior that makes the defense go.
He's the Headhunter leads the team with 72 tackles three sacks and four tackles for loss.
And of course, we've got some other guys on board with us here.
John Nelson of course injera de Oliveira who will hook up with in a minute but first, let's hear from Coach Jeff hearing on what we can expect tonight from the Wildcats.
John Hill.
Pastries got a great defense and the very confusing and cause a lot of Havoc.
So we're going to try just, you know, minimize mistakes and try to keep ourselves out of long yardage situations and, you know, do what we do.
We don't know anything else at this point, and on the offensive side, for them against you.
Well, you know, we've tried to play real good defense.
You know, since I've been at Camden County and, you know, we try to fly around to the football, all that, Unfortunately.
They put you in some situations where you just got to stand there and man up So we're going to be a very physical defensive team ourselves tonight.
Coach Heron nine years, as head coach at Camden County, eight, straight region championships.
Now let's go down to the other members of our broadcast team Jon Nelson and Jared.
Olivieri, let's start with John with more on Camden.
John, thank you Dave, good evening to you and a DJ coaches are creatures of habit.
So is obviously Camden's.
Jeff Heron.
Last year years previous they'd leave for big games up.
North the day of they'd end up being a little flat and sometimes end up with losses.
So he changes things up this year.
Leaves a day early.
Now stays at an undisclosed location.
An hour outside of town.
Here's your's.
V goes to Birmingham beats Hoover by 25 last week in the semifinals, he beats noon and by 20 so I caught up with him and I said, so did you leave a day early again?
For this game.
He said, yes, I said, did you stay at that same undisclosed location?
An hour outside of town?
He says that information is undisclosed.
That's it for candid.
Let's send it to the ridge site and Gerald, olivieri.
Thanks a lot John.
As you know, one of the main jobs at the head coach is to keep his team focused on this week's game plan.
But I'll talk to coach ballot before the game.
He said he feels as though, his team's shouldn't get overwhelmed by.
This game because they played a tough schedule this year they started off with Harrison they play Lowndes County in Lowndes and then they played a tough region, 7 schedule against perennial playoff teams like Collins Hill, Mills Creek, Norcross, and North Gwinnett.
He also said he wanted to try and keep things as normal as possible because Dave, he wanted his team to focus on who they were playing, but not where they were playing back up to you Dave.
All right.
Thank you.
Gerald.
And thanks guys, we'll check in with you.
But first coming up kick off its the Class 5A state.
Championship Peachtree, Ridge and Camden County.

Dave Garner DJ Jones with you Jon Nelson, Jared olivieri on the sidelines tonight, along with the rest of our Georgia, public broadcasting crew, and boy, the crazies are in the house here.
Tonight fans are fired up.
And ready to go.
It's the Peachtree Ridge lions and Camden County.
Wildcats going head-to-head for the 5A state championship.
Glad you could join us here.
Of course, a nice Saturday evening for some high school football here.
Inside the new-look Georgia, Dome little red and black and I know, as a former Bulldog, you're right at home, you're absolutely right.
And I like the fact that what they've done to get this Dome up to standards, but know that this is one of the toughest Uli's in the Southeast but these colors.
Definitely, I can, I could dig them, Camden County won the toss.
They will receive.
That's Edward, Hicks kick.
Taking a deep for Peachtree Ridge.
And inside the five it'll be taken by the Wildcats up to the 20.
That's number 23, on the return right there.
Jeremy Mobley.
The senior and Camden will set up shop, right at the 20.
They're gonna look after you quarterback.
That is number nine Christian Milstead.
The senior has been impressive 30 of 60 on the year, 500, six yards, and eight touchdowns against two picks for these senior.
But really the field General in this offense and of course, Run the football.
Have the rest of the starters for you, in just a moment right here.
Again a true Delaware type Wing T here and ride into the middle into that Peachtree Ridge.
Teeth of that defense goes, number 50 15 Andre Johnson who's getting the accurate here tonight.
In Camden will play about 11 or 12 different skill position players, there's McClain, Gabriel and Delhi flanked by seamer and Taylor at the guards and in the backfield Griffiths, again, the tied end Murphy, the split end days and Baker.
The starting halfbacks Valdez the full-back.
And again, you see, Johnson right there number 15, who will also get his snaps Straight Ahead once again, right?
At that lion defense goes Johnson again for a few more yards and I'll bring up third down and a couple.
They're going to look at the Peachtree Ridge defense.
Carol upfront causes a lot of Havoc with Mitchell and Turner course.
You see, the linebacking corps pots on the dock or Bots and Mentor.
Again, the Autobots boys are brothers and there you get a look at the secondary Williford Williams Burnett and Norman we talked about Mentor in the And of course he's already made a couple of tackles here.
The first few plays of the game.
Third down and two Majesty Milstead barking at the signals right here, unbalanced left.
And they'll go opposite of that.
To the right side of the Wildcats will have a first down by about a half yard.
Stop made by Tanner Bots.
Tanner has a twin brother but also is playing for the Lions.
We're going to look at coach Bill Ballard right there.
Yeah.
DJ both teams have brothers that start on defense here, of course for Peachtree Ridge, the Bots boys, and for Camden County the booth boys and would knock down right there on First and Ten Second down.
Incomplete Mentor once again.
Now that's We Stand Out.
He'll take a look at this.
He was able to get penetration there.
He was on the Back before he could even cock the ball.
Well that was close to being a fumble right there.
They say that millstead's aren't was going forward, which it was but I'm not sure.
The ball was in his hand when his arm was going forward and see number 40 right there alertly Eric Mitchell who's has 12 sacks on the year.
Certainly nothing new to see big number 40 in an opposing teams backfield Second, and ten.
Man in Motion, Straight Ahead give to the full-back and you've really got established that full Bank DJ as you know, in this offense and they've done a great job of doing that all year long as you see Johnson number 15 with another carry.
So so far it's been Andre Johnson, the junior running back out of the gate here.
Be a Workhorse on this opening.
Drive for the Wildcats, I'll tell you what, you have to pay close attention when you're running, they that wing-t there because again, that the ball fakes are so prevalent in this offense, you have to be disciplined when you're playing against this this offense.
But you don't know where the I'm going to end up and you saw Johnson's numbers right there.
Again, Milstead looking over at the sidelines to plays being signaled in here.
Again, Camden to the line quickly right here, trying to keep that line defense on its heels.
Third down though and 6.
Right here, a big play and straight ahead, give bounces off of a tackler does Johnson.
He won't have the first down up across the 43 tackle made by a Connor Norman but an outstanding run by the pullback Johnson running tough up inside.
You can see him.
On this replay, when he takes the handoff, he's behind his past, he staying, keeping his legs moving and showed good agility, there by being able to spin out of that Welton Coffey the offensive coordinator for Camden.
A lot of confidence right there and the ball up the middle there on that, third down and six boy and a little sleep right here, plenty of room on the outside that's Baker.
Number 7 who we focused on in the pregame and he's going to be right at the first down marker.
I believe you got it to gain of about ten and a half tackle made by On Burnett as you know, on that pitch plead their to Baker, you can see that speed is this thing.
If you get to the corner and get to the edge and as I mentioned in the free games, averaging over 10 yards per carry, and that's fantastic.
When you're talking about a ring back in the wing, T offense Baker, of course, has as you mentioned up top of played sparingly, the last two weeks because of injury but of course he is in there tonight and a little scissors play right here back to Baker.
But boy, he has stood up hard by Mentor.
Big number 7 right there.
Making his presence felt you see right now early on you seeing Maya that this young man is so sought after.
But again, he's already committed to LSU, the linebacker didn't get fooled step right up and filled his hole.
Big guy, 61 240 pounds runs.
Well, great agility.
Take a football player.
Right there Mentor.
Well over 100 tackles on the year.
We're going to look at a boy.
That's a scary sight running at number 7.
Straight Ahead Johnson again gets his number called and inside the 40 he goes.
So after a loss of the last play their 67 yards on that play.
And once again camera with a manageable, third down situation, right here, DJ love a good tackle, by 10 or Bots?
So far I tell you what candidate certainly no secret, they were going right at the heart of that peach tree, Ridge, defense around this opening drive and it's going to be up to the lines to stop it.
You're absolutely right.
You saw a big number 74 there.
A while ago, Jordan boat.
Ride here is Baker.
Who is stacked up?
Good, play there, defensively by the Lions who hold Camden short of the first down marker by about a yard, fourth, and short ride here, though, in this part of the field.
See what the walk has decided to do.
Has it taken you anytime at all.
To figure out why there's so much talk about Kevin mentioned.
This guy's and on all of, you know, 80% of the tackles here in the first six, seven plays Wildcats, basically going no-huddle, right here, will go for it on fourth and one at the Peachtree Ridge.
37 right side hit right at the line.
Great second effort.
Right there to a stretch out for that one was Ian days without a touchdown last week against a Newton.
Tyler Bots.
On the tackle, we've already called boxes.
Yeah, a couple of times here.
That's open and drive.
He and his brother.
I'll tell you what DJ, this is really going to be up to the spot right here.
You saw a great job by days to a reach that ball out as he was being tackled.
The question is, where did the knee go down and wear?
This bought the football and boy, doesn't rot at the marker.
It's gonna be close, really close.
This is when we always like to put the spotters on the spot right here, you know, we asked for their yes input there.
Well, this would be a big stop for the Lions if they indeed made it and they did a great job defensively.
You see by a length of the football, right there.
The lion, defense comes up.
Big Camden had plenty of momentum right there.
Moving the football.
And how about that the ball goes over as great defense.
Great defense great team defense.
As you see the lion flying around.
Wow, that's a big stop right there on the opening Series and we talked about it, a couple plays before that how it is really going to be up to Peachtree Ridge defense, to come up with a stop because you knew can it was going to go right at him and indeed they answered the Bell.
So here's the Lions.
Now, for the first time tonight, offensive ly Lombardo, the quarterback gives over the left side there, in that is Ronnie Smith that big fullback in that backfield there and we're going to be talking a lot about number 32 here tonight for Ridge.
Nice play by Gavin Oliver coming over taking on the big pullback.
They're gonna look at Nick Lombardo, his numbers.
There is thrown a lot this year, over 1,400 yards, passing 12 touchdowns against eight picks and just a junior.
He's Very impressive this year ago we focused on of tough tonight.
Smart hit is a 4.0 average, National Honor Society.
to his credit second and six after a gain of four, And this time right side and Drug down.
Good job there, indeed by number 22, Robert Williams who is all over that play.
They're going to look at the Peachtree.
Ridge lineup.
Parker's the center, flanked, by Stratton and brabham the guards Garcia, and make Burnett are the tackles the CE Smith Stanley, the running backs, Roby and Williford, all the wide outs, and they're talented, and of course or the tight end Williford with a touchdown receptions this year.
That leads winnette County.
For the 10th time in history there's been a Gwinnett County football.
Team to reach.
The semi-finals says a lot about the history there in Gwinnett County.
You see, of course, number 56, there for Camden being helped off the field.
That's Jeremiah Booth.
The other half of that Booth brother combination they're starting on defense tonight for the Wildcats.
And the signs are out indeed for the booths.
So after no gain on that.
Last play its third down at 6 and size.
7 minutes here, this opening quarter.
Now this time Lombardo looking to throw the football and trouble will go down, big play by that Wildcat defense.
Tell you what?
That was playing Max who was coming up to contain?
Of course, trying to loot the past so you can see right here as Lombardo comes out.
But you see that number 21 to flew up in the picture, he's not going to get credit for the tackle, but he did his assignment and he'll make a good grade on that particular play.
Watch, Matt Jackson right here to number 40 came in there and got them Jackson.
Of course, the junior.
So that force is a three and out around here.
Punt situation for Peachtree Ridge.
This is Mitchell Williford.
Who handles the punting duties.
Well, booted out of there.
Back deeper can and that's number 11.
Michael Green makes a move hits, the sideline tries to get there.
We'll take it up, across the 30 will toss to a break 554.
Left opening quarter, no score inside the Georgia Dome, we're back in a moment broadcast of this program is made possible in part by the Georgia High School Association the GHSA.
I'd like to thank State Farm for their support of high school sports programming on GPB State.
Farm.
Agents are proud of the achievements of Georgia student athletes and would like, to remind families and teens to drive safely in your communities, as you travel to work school or play State Farm wants what you want, safe, driving for you, and your family.
Camden County sent to go back on offense for the second time here tonight.
Both teams, of course, forced down on their opening drives Peachtree Ridge by a punt, Camden by Downs with that line, defense, turning it over.
As you see, coach Balor, they're talking things over with his players.
There on the sidelines, both coach Ballard and Haren have led to different schools to State semifinal appearances there and state championship appearances.
And let's go downstairs with John Nelson.
Has more on this one.
John, what do you got offensive?
Chatter from the Camden huddle basically offensive.
Narrator.
Greg, Slattery was going.
Is there anything you haven't seen?
The answer was no, Slattery just said, stay on your blocks, don't let him get below.
You everything's fine.
Quick injury update on Jeremiah Booth.
They went after the ankle and all they're doing is a simple re-tape and he's not going to miss a game like this one guys.
Well, absolutely.
And you know, boosts a tough guy and as well as all these guys are to be able to get to this level right there, and that's certainly good news for Camden to be able to have a guy like that back on the field because they may very well need him in this contest.
As you see coach Aaron.
Looking on from the sidelines.
Christian Milstead takes back over and that Wing T offense and it looks like he's going to throw his first pass the night.
It's a completion out to Baker up across the 40 and gets out of Bounds at the 43.
Well-designed nicely executed play, right there to Baker.
Absolutely.
A great opportunity to see Christian Mill.
Head, the junior gets the ball out into the hands of the athlete, of course, Baker's healthy look like he's healthy great.
Athletic play their bow Took a shot there at the tail end of that play as well.
So First and Ten.
Big pitch, ride are trying to get the outside that stays but going nowhere, a great job right there by number 45.
Tyler Bots.
We've already called his name several times here in pots making that play a few yards deep in the backfield great penetration and get over a boss and you know your assignments you've got you feel good about it, you got to believe what you see and trust you know trust your instincts and of course box was able to get over and get a nice tackle for a loss.
Second and 13 Camden open their season in the Georgia Dome.
They will close it out here tonight.
First the Wildcats beating Norcross and the opening week of the Season.
21 6, right here on this Turf long.
Second down Johnson, in the middle.
Stacked up nicely by the lion defense.
Nice penetration by Zach.
Brownlow of course you caused Havoc was able to get on the other side of the line of scrimmage and take a look here.
See the cut back right there and Eric Mitchell number 40.
Also got a helmet in there to it look like DJ check that Chris Carroll.
The nose tackle was the one who actually was able to penetrate and this is a undersized nose tackle who will probably be in the backfield more times than not tonight.
He has really caused a lot of Havoc this year.
On opposing offenses, upfront very quick.
Here's third and 13.
Right here, a little bit of room now, shut down the door, closed quite quickly.
There with Mentor number seven in on the stop.
There, it will be fourth down.
I'll talk a little bit more about Chris Carroll.
The nose tackle their, he's under.
So he's probably a hundred and seventy five hundred and eighty pounds, playing nose guard again, you know, Mentor, the big prospect that everybody loves.
He says that he loved the fact that he has a little guy like that and it's one of the one of the toughest nose tackles that he's ever played with Tony Blatz will boot it away.
It's a good pot right here.
Will be taken after you 21 and Diving Straight Ahead.
There was number 21, michell Williford and Peachtree.
Ridge will be back on offense for the second time here tonight, but we need viewers like you to help support the live broadcast of these games.
Now you can show your support by becoming a member of Georgia, public television simply call 100 is on your screen or visit our website at B dot org and thank you very much for supporting Georgia public broadcasting five games here.
In two days.
Wall-to-wall action.
All classifications right here, we certainly ask for your support because we want to keep High School football on the air.
351 left here in the opening.
Period.
No score turning out to be a defensive battle so far.
Like we thought here's a pass play right here and what a grab, a completion up at the 35.
Wow, nice.
Dig right there by Connor or the tide.
And you had to go down and get that one and Lombardo did a great job of throwing it in the hole down the defense, their course, as the tithing settling into the flats, all the here you see these starting defense.
Their Booth Myers Jackson Chris, the linebacking corps, Williams, Oliver and booth.
And of course, these secondary Williams Coleman, the ponies Johnson green, the corners and flowers, the free safety again.
Your Wildcat starting lineup in the defense, talking about Lombardo the quarterback, he's a crafty God, man.
He has some impressive numbers but he understands this Finch second and short after a gain of 9 flag down on the play of their, you see you left side there, Ronnie Smith working, it has the first down pending the penalty right here, mr. Maybe coming back, Talk a little bit more about the quarterback for the Lions, big Lombardo, you know, it's one thing to be a quarterback with a lot of talent.
That's another thing that not to be as talented, but, you know what, you can and can't do and how to manage the game for your team.
Takes the ball and apparently he's done quite well.
You should only offense 5-yard, penalty, repeat second down.
Our headband here tonight is Chip Huffman.
You see, Jerry sagest.
The Umpire said re Johnson the linesman line, judge, Mark Turner, Brian Prince the back, judge late Williams, the field judge in the clock.
Operator times, mr. James arneson of the Augusta association football officials welcomed those guys on with us right here.
Mr. Huffman the man under the white hat here in charge tonight.
So after the penalty second down at six under three minutes left here in the opening quarter again Peachtree, Ridge, eight and four last year with a second round, playoff loss to Roswell.
The team, they split the state championship with two years ago in another penalty marker right here in this time.
The Lions saying it's on the Wildcats.
Yeah, my booth looked like he jumped the snap there.
Prior to the snap approachment.
All the defense five-yard penalty still second down.
So Camden gives that five yards right back I'm talking about of course Peachtree Ridge a playoff team last year but just round to didn't have to play Roswell this year on the schedule.
And of course Camden 12 and 2 last year lost in the dome in the series against Lowndes to nothing forced.
The lock has charging back right in the state championship game this year and that time Smith going nowhere on second down in one at Wildcat defense with a big surge inside there.
And Myers leading the charge Glenn, Mac also in on that.
Play will take another look at it here.
They're gonna Hammer that big fullback up inside.
And again you have to get some hats on that big guy and of course that's going to that's going to add up a little later on in the ballgame.
R KV aspires 6.
1235 good-looking athlete, right there.
Neither team, gigantic across the front but still some good athletes guys that are undersized can move like the wind.
They're going to look at Lombardo this time.
Brandon Stanley number two in the backfield.
And they're going to pitch it to him.
Stanley left side, hit right at the 35, Third down and three won't get their gain of two.
It'll be for that short and the lines will Trot on the punt unit.
Look at this play by Gavin Oliver.
We talked about, of course he's the leading tackler and he's gonna be the Headhunter for the Wildcats.
I'm sure you're going to see him call his name more times tonight.
Williford will punt it away.
Averaging 43 point three yards per punt.
This year will for Reza, is them in a multitasking guy.
Uses receiver.
He's a perfect or he's upon her.
He does it all.
Yes he does and Michael Green once again.
Back.
Deep good, high kick right here, green.
Trying to get a return but nothing doing great coverage on special teams by Connor Norman.
You gotta know, you gotta love those guys to cover down in a minute.
Come on down the field.
I mean the coaches level.
Well every championship game broadcast.
This weekend is also being streamed live on the new GPB football Fridays in Georgia website log on at gpb.org football, you'll also find the live game blogs with every game archive reviewing in the next few days that side again.
Gpb.org/sports ball.
Can't wait to check that one out after the fact, be able to go back and watch these games.
And all these fans of course that are here tonight that aren't watching on TV, will get to go back and see what we said about them.
That's always a good thing.
It's Balor there on the sidelines look at it on his defense he won't Camden back to work off pensively but not a lot of room right there and boy DJ this game really being played between the 20s here.
For the most part it is and I'll tell you, you know, coming in as us again as the underdog, you never would think right now, of course, in this early going that Peachtree Ridge believed any of that.
How about big Reggie Turner?
Right there boy, got some good size on him.
Yeah, Wildcats we can quickly back to the liner on second and 9 will pick up a few more.
Just chip it away though.
But neither team able to really get that big third down conversion that they need right here, as you see Williams right there.
Number 82, with his first Carry of the night there.
Darryl Williams, Active last week, and here is days who has a little bit of room around.
The right side, you will have the first down third and six in the Wildcats convert it, you gotta love it.
I mean, I tell you, you know, when you talk about this offense didn't, you know, you just take a look at it here.
You never know where the balls going to come, they come outside, they come up and say, hit you up.
I mean, it's almost like a heavyweight boxer Manny punches in, inside inside and then it comes with the hook.
Darryl Williams had a good kick out, block there to on the last play that sprung days for that.
First down Milstead, going to pitch it out this time.
Not a lot there.
Great job defensively.
Right there by the alliance, their number 45 Megan, the stop, Tyler box, what they step aside the end of the first quarter, no score from inside the Georgia, Dome, for back with quarter to when we return live right here on GPB.

No scores, we get set for the start of quarter.
Number two, let's go downstairs to Jared, olivieri, with more on Peachtree, Ridge, Gerald.
Thanks a lot.
Dave earlier when John gave an update on Camden County, he said coach Slattery asked his team.
Had they seen anything they didn't expect and they said no and that's probably because when he was the head coach over South Forsyth, his defensive coordinator was coach Hillis, who is not a defensive coordinator for Peachtree Ridge?
So there is some familiarity there for moral.
Camden County listening over to John.
Thank you Gerald, quick injury update, and They're becoming epidemic Now Greg Baker.
You see him right there.
They had to re-tape his right ankle for the second time and it looks like they're going to flip the brace from his left.
Ankle to his right ankle back upstairs.
Well, there you go.
You know, we talked about Baker, being a little banged up the last couple of weeks, we haven't seen as much of number seven as we did earlier in the year.
So other guys like Darryl Williams and Ian days of had to step up here.
Wildcats again after converting their at the end of the first quarter hard running right there by Daniel Valdez, the big senior fullback right there that has his first Carry of the night.
It's good enough for a first down, that's one.
Good thing about this Camden County Wildcat offense is that when one good back goes down.
There's a, you know, there's a slew of others over there.
And this big pullback here is a bruising running.
Take a look at it.
How'd you like to be in front of this guy day?
Right into your living room that last play a gain of 12, there's the offensive comparison through a quarter.
Twenty to sixty of plays, they're 75 yards for Camden, just 11 for the alliance first dance five.
Nothing in favor of the Wildcats and a penalty marker down there on that boy.
Prior to the snap encroachment, on the defense, five-yard penalty.
B12, stick straight wins for Peachtree Ridge coming into this ball, game after losing the first two games of the Season.
Since then though this team has pretty much been lights out especially on defense as you see Coach, Jeff here.
And right here, winners of course, of all 14.
They've played this year and one well respected coach in the coaching fraternity all over this.
Not just all over the region, Southeast region.
Absolutely right side again, Valdez hammering it in there, inside the 40 and that's going to be close to another first down.
So that five-yard penalty.
It set up a short yardage theories, you see number 17 on the hit on Burnett.
And there you get a look at Valdez is of course a number of different backs that Camden will use their again Welton Coffey the offensive coordinator coach.
Aaron of course looking on and they'll play a lot of different Folks at those halfback positions and at the fullback spot.
We'll see Jeremy Mobley in there, you'll see Johnson, of course, we've already seen a lot here tonight.
There's Valdez again, going straight forward on 2nd and short actually needed AI yard right here for the first down and they got it on that last play.
We're going to look at bout as we hand it up in there.
Again, 621 points this season, that's a tall.
Time the first Dublin, the all-time leader in 2006 as 682 points, but the top-ranked Offense scoring offense of the state of Georgia on display here tonight in this 5A state championship this time ball on the ground loose and Milstead able to get that football back.
When it was almost disastrous.
Burnett was right there.
Tell you, you know, you want to get yourself in trouble, man.
You start dropping that ball on the ground and games like this because they've been deeply.
This is going to be physics locals of this far.
Let's take a look at it.
Nice hit up inside.
Great job, right there again by Eric Mitchell.
Yep.
Mitchell jarring that ball loose again.
He's got a dozen sacks on the year and that time nearly created a turnover second down 11.
After a loss of one this time little misdirection play right there trying to squeeze through the that's Williams down just shy of the 30 and a gain of five.
Maybe six yards there on second down.
Nice, run there breaking the tackle.
Ended up getting stopped.
Williams, the senior halfback.
Great play fake and you this is a cabinet team again, really likes to attack the middle of the field.
Third down conversions tonight, 3 of 5 for the Wildcats, and they're faced with another one right here, third and five, not on have to play here in the first half left side, Williams cuts it back in there, drug down.
And I believe the alliance made the you stop there about two yards, shy of the marker, so it will be fourth down Majesty Williams again, on another carry Jordan Boatwright left away.
Kevin mentor of was able to clean up your ego.
Will DJ here's another fourth down.
No-huddle once again for can then we do have a time out of looks like on the field right here.
I think the alliance want to talk things over defensively and maybe try to slow the tempo down here a little bit because cameras pretty much been no-huddle.
Since the beginning of the Ballgame right here, they waste no time.
Getting up to the line and snap at a play.
Have the heat turned up and definitely Well earlier this week the Georgia Dome and the Atlanta Falcons football team proudly honored, the GHSA with the unveiling of a Georgia, High School Association, football helmet display.
Now this expansive display includes football helmets from GHSA Affiliated, high school, football teams from around the state.
This display is located at Lower Gate C, so be sure to check it out.
Next time, you're at the Georgia Dome again, the high school football helmets.
They're on display.
A nice job there and certainly a thank be a falcon The partnering and making that happen to recognize High School football at the state level, I got a chance to take a look at it today.
It came down a little bit earlier, and now it's really, really a beautiful way for the Falcons.
And the Georgia Dome to honor these high school football players first coming up at half-time, the Battle of the Bands, they're going to look at the Camden County, Wildcats of Marching Band Here.
Fired up tonight.
Of course in the home team section here.
The first Peachtree Ridge making the short trip over from Gwinnett County from Swanee.
Of course, the second school from Swanee and consecutive years to make it to a final course.
Last year was North Gwinnett who played last for the state championship and here's Peachtree Ridge back in the title game for the second time in three years but right now it's the Camden County Wildcats on the Move.
Fourth down though 4th and 2 after the Peachtree.
Ridge timeout.
Now a flag comes flying in here.
Prior to the snap delay of game on the offense five yard penalty still fourth down.
And we're coming in from the secondary, right there.
Again, chip Huffman our official here with the call here tonight.
So, that'll back it up five.
It certainly changed the complexion of this play, but it doesn't look like the strategy will change any for the Wildcats as they leave the offense on the field.
You know, you're sort of in between territory right here, DJ, where your little outside field, goal range, maybe, and little bit too close to punt.
So why not take a shot?
Hey, got a line up and go right out of them.
Andre Johnson is the full back again.
Christian, Milstead under Center.
A look at the throw, the football gets rid of it fires down to it, has a man open, just beyond the outstretched fingertips of number 23, Jeremy Mobley.
Kind of excellent play working.
There is Victory some fries the Lions because he was so wide open you take a look at female Seth rolling out to the right there.
Had a guy that just couldn't connect Godzilla.
Will see this play again a little bit later.
Take a look right here.
After your last play there, you see he was open by a couple of yards or just overthrew them.
So Peachtree, Ridge takes over right here.
I can still a scoreless ball game, Quick Pass right there, off the fingertips of the intended.
Target that's Williford, the leading scoring receiver, in Gwinnett, County eight, touchdowns this year.
Just could Glide.
Squeeze that one though, on the quick slant.
Tell you what, if he would caught that pass, he was being defended by Michael Green.
I tell you, he's still be running right now.
Yeah, he had a seemed.
Yes, they're going to look at Willie Fritz numbers on the year for Five receptions 736 yards over 16 per catch and of course the eight touchdowns for the senior has had a remarkable year.
Vic number 56, they're digging in Jeremiah Booth, another pass attempt right here by Lombardo and I'm going to tuck it, right?
He's got some room Wiggles his way, all the way up close to Midfield, good enough for a first down in a gain of 15, who saw some shifting, is there with the quarterback of good?
Good athlete.
Nearly 400 yards rushing this year and you can see why when he decides to pull it down, he could make a mess.
Five, 1170 Yen, a junior.
Look at him with a good news, right?
Tell you what?
Yeah, good-looking on the.
Look at it inside their great blocking inside there.
To Parker's stratum brabham make.
Burn it all those guys getting in there.
I had to see if the First cast or that's the first first down for Peachtree Ridge in this football game Lombardo to the air has a man deep that one overthrown though Michael Green in coverage right there of And I'll be second and ten, you know, we've been seeing a lot of good quarterbacks here and of course, and over the last couple of days here.
And again, this young man, Lombardo is showing me that he can do what's necessary and he's not a big kid, but he has a big enough on he just just enough.
You saw the shift in this attack was, he's not the fastest but he was able to get the yardage we needed to be.
Made a good decision.
Yeah, absolutely.
They're gonna look at Oliver the frame number 29 and we focused on up top here, really take your pick.
You can pretty much focus on any of these defensive guys of the free game because they were all impressive.
Second and ten and this time.
time Lombardo hit and drop behind the line and I tell you what Oliver nearly took the took the snap on that one can't shoot through there like a rocket you know he's not a big guy but again he's the guy that we talked about early as being the guy that can be causing havoc and he has lived up to that.
Illegal formation on the offense penalty is declined.
So, Camden will take the down right there.
Take the result of the play.
That brings up, third down and 12 Coach palette again.
5 years at Tucker, took the Tigers to the city finals back in 2003.
Versus come to preach your Ridge and took over for Blair Armstrong, who of course, will Matco championship in 2006.
And what a job coach Ballard is done.
Try to set up a little screen right here.
Opposite side of the field.
It is caught, but going nowhere read nicely.
There can printed Stanley the reception right there, but a great job, go and Mac home.
But yeah, of course, Dan get home.
Throwback right there and Man red nicely by Mac not fooled at all.
You know, you know when you as you look at this, it is Throwback here.
Not only is Mac there but look right behind him there.
He's one of, hold anybody.
Michael Green was right there to have the footsteps Mac again, a junior.
So punt formation once again Williford.
All cats don't rush it.
Set up a return right here.
This is Michael Green from inside.
The 25 cuts it stays on his feet up to the 33 and the Wildcats will set up shop once again with 708 left here in the half TJ.
I tell you what man to defense has two.
Great defense has on display here tonight.
It is.
And of course, you'd never know that Camden County had the number one offense here because you know what B Street whiz has something to say about that.
We need viewers like you to help support the live broadcast of these games.
You can show your support by becoming a member of Georgia public television, simply call 1-866-931-6190 now standing great job here.
Indeed this weekend by our entire GPB crew our camera guys.
They've taken some shots on that sideline with a gun, right back up and kept it on the shoulder.
That's what you like out of a crew.
And that time, Camden boy, going nowhere again.
Mitchell, one of the first guys in there defensively for Peachtree Ridge.
You know, we talked about the toughness of these, the football players and hey, you know, you got, you gotta have a good TV crew this willing to hang in there and take a shot as well.
Absolutely, absolutely just jump back up.
Put a little tape on it.
Go back to work.
How about Eric Mitchell so far?
I'll tell you what.
He's had a heck of a first half defensively.
Yeah, big Junior right there with another stop second and ten, no gain on that last play.
And this time I'm going to swing it out to Mobley and motion stripped up.
Connor.
Norman their tell you what, you know, you get out there and Spaceman and you don't appreciate how big of a play that was when until you have an opportunity to come up as a corner and you got a tailback running at you.
100 miles an hour.
Take a look at this play.
Of course, she gets the pitch clean here and this little DP comes up and makes a play.
And in front of a blocker, he defeats the blocker and makes the play Super play, and he beat the block their days, trying to get out there to get out there quick enough.
Norman came back inside there to take mobile office feet.
So Third down and seven right here.
Why is blitzing unable to get there though in that past wide of the intended.
Target their number five, D'Angelo Smith Smith of course catching a touchdown last week for those that watch the semi-finals on an interesting play there.
Around the goal line that you're a catch ripped away fumble he have to be in the right place at the right time made a reception and got in the end zone there for Camden second touchdown of that ball game.
Of course, they've gone to win 6:33 last week in Newnan on a game.
You saw right here live on GPB.
So forth down once again the Wildcat punt team on the field right here.
And that is Smith in there to plot who foots it away.
This one returnable.
Now they'll let it go takes a nice little Wildcat roll.
I'm going to be down there by Mark, Smith, will go ahead and step aside.
Five forty five here in the second quarter.
Still no score for the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
Broadcast of this program is made possible in part by the Georgia, High School Association.

Inside the Dome of this 5A state championship.
You were talking about the toughness of our camera crew.
We've actually got the shots there from the game last night and see if we take a look at that right here.
And then so that, you know what we're talking about in case you weren't with us last night.
This of course, was during the Tucker Maris game, right here, Watcher got hanging in there on the sidelines, takes the shot, and look at that kept the camera.
Right off the ground right there, kept it one piece.
My been, the biggest hit in the past two days.
Jonathan Davis of Tucker going face-to-face with the camera there.
And and that's, that's something I tell you, I'm gonna send that guy up.
He's more worried about the camera that he is himself.
Well, you know, that's the way it works is really, you know, those that the gears sometimes worth more than the, the people, you know.
Yeah, I understand what exactly what you're saying as it look at him over there.
Yeah.
Hey, tough guy.
Little easier to dodge traffic when your work it up top.
Yeah, here's Lombardo on the option.
Swings it out there, and that one going to be out of bounds.
Right there, hit hard though.
Nice job defensively, right there by a big number 18.
Ronald flowers, you came up and made the hit.
Not a whole lot of room over there for Brandon Stanley of beachy Rich to operate, not tell you what it's a it might come down to you know my come down to these punters the way it is right now, in establishing that field position right here.
Neither team able to Dent the other teams Red Zone in this first half.
Second down and 12 after a loss of a couple Lombardo again under Center.
And this time Smith over the left side, there takes it up across the 20 and back just over the original line of scrimmage Peachtree, Ridge.
Of course, their offensive line.
Well they got some big guys up there and make Burnett is 64 297 for she have brabham at 2:30 in the middle.
They're a little smaller bark of the center.
Just 2005 at a quick is guys like to move around.
And a lot in there.
Whoosh are 270 Garcia.
Also in the Alana's.
Well they're swapping in and out and of course Connor or the tide in it.
64 240.
Also a good-looking athlete there along the front for Peachtree Ridge.
He while Camden's defense very quick up front, he's guys really fly.
Well from sideline to sideline, here's Lombardo throwing it up on Third and long.
The completion is made by Williford, are going to be shy the first out of flag.
I was flying in from the secondary.
And let's check the penalty marker, Michael green, and on the play.
But a nice pitch and catch by Lombardo.
And Williford.
Chip.
I've met again our referee face mask going to be on the Wildcats right there.
That should give the lines of first down.
Face mask on the defense, five-yard face mask first down.
So, that play right there keeps the chains moving.
Let's take a look at is nice pitch and catch here.
We'll have a nice soft hands and you saw it right?
See the yeah, Michael Green.
It look like that may be right there on the side on the initial hit and I play Going Nowhere right there again, Camden stack it up.
Nicely, the Wildcats, the most wins in 5A since 106 ahead of Parkview with 98 to very impressive football teams.
Fisher Ridge, of course, more of a defense.
First type of Team offensively they don't put up about 20 point, seven points of games, which you consider state championship caliber team, 20 points, really?
Not a lot.
You're right it all, but they get the job done.
As you see the possessions right here, all three first half, possessions ending and punts for Peachtree Ridge, and they've got second and eight right here, three and out twice.
How long the sidelines that one Little Too Tall.
They're looking back to a the intended target.
There was a nice wheel route out of the backfield there, Brad Roby Linda Lombardi just overthrow make just a little a little long with his throws.
He's got some guys breaking free and could have had a couple of big plays but just a little long put that ball more on a rope you put on a rainbow probably would have been there and drop that thing in there a little bit quick.
See right there, big number 33.
Martavius Myers trying to fire up the home crowd right here.
We have a time out of the field called five Peachtree Ridge, they want to talk things over here with 336 in the half and DJ, I knew it'd be a good defensive ball game here tonight, but I didn't know it'd be scoreless here with just a few minutes left to play here in the second quarter.
You and me and everybody else is well, you know, when you talk about, you know what, the job that coach is doing right now, I'll tell you man, you got a great situation here, you got the mentor and Was an understudy and they're going to, you know, they're standing toe-to-toe right now and this is, this is, you know this is the thing that that makes football.
So interesting.
And there's so many, you know, 19 assistance that have gone on to be head.
Coaches, that coached under coach Heron and that says a lot to great testimony there.
Indeed, while every championship game broadcast, this weekend is also being streamed live on the new GPB football, Fridays in Georgia website.
Log on at gpb.org / football you'll also find live game blogs with every Um, archive for viewing in the next few days.
Again that's i gpb.org/sports ball.
All these fans cheer leaders.
Of course in the house would be able to go back and watch the games from Theo weekend.
And tonight it's a football Saturday in Georgia, three games on for today, of course, to already in the books, Wesleyan, a winner earlier today in the class a game and Cairo purse over Flowery Branch a little earlier this evening in the AAA.
Just five a and that one, a little bit in front of Williford.
Once again, trying that quick hitter right there, good coverage Camden was on it.
They were at, hey, well this was a great athlete and they're trying to get the ball, obviously in his hands because they know when he can make things happen.
But you know, you got a scrappy defense with those defensive backs and they're covered in pretty well.
Yeah.
Both secondaries playing well here in this first half, fourth and eight right here and once again Peachtree Ridge will punt for the fourth time here tonight.
This Ridge again, winning 12, straight ball games here at 12:02.
Wilfred puts his foot into a high kick.
Not as deep fair.
Catch signal by Green, will make the grab at the 37.
And with wanting a little interference of penalty, right?
They're not going to get the call though, but they will have the football with about three and a half to work with here before the half, trying to make something happen here before they have to go in the locker room.
It's a defensive show down here in the first half.
Yeah, well, you know what?
You look at it.
I mean, Camden, of course.
So we talked about Peachtree Ridge defense, only allowing nine points, Wildcats in their own right 8.6 on the season.
No doubt.
Two of the best of the state going at it here tonight.
I mean you got such a great defense.
You got the number one ranked offense.
That's a spells as a good equation for Success right there.
Over the ride side, in days, up to the 43 and of six on the play Mentor in on the stop.
You know, I'll tell you what, he's already at a double-digit tackles and all my account, got a great job.
You know, one thing we talked about to, it's going to be interesting to watch one guy.
Number 57 there along the frontage see days, right there.
But Chris Carroll, as you mentioned, he's the guy that a lot of opposing coaches, talk about is really the guy that hurt them throughout the year.
Number 57 there, the middle guard is Call him in his defense.
This time up to Midfield.
Goes Andre Johnson who had about the first three or four carries of the ball game.
Now, really, kind of set the tone there, it got away from him a little bit, and I guess the call right there and picks up the first down and need I say, once again, mentor on the stop.
We're going to look at Andre Johnson.
Of course, Greg Baker playing sparingly.
As John mentioned earlier is half ankles taped a couple of different ways and times here in this first half.
So not sure how much was he all ball loose on the ground.
Don't get the tiles.
They have it and they do so Peachtree.
Ridge defense.
Forcing the first turnover of the ball game and that was huge, and that gives the lines a little bit of fill position to work with right here.
Finally, AJ McDonald came up with that one.
Take a look at and see how it come out of ball.
Got knocked out of there.
No, ma'am.
Put the helmet on the football right there.
What it looks like at the bottom of the pile McDonald and it's okay.
Yeah, McDonald came in there.
Made the hit yet.
They can also recover the football.
First in 10, the final again under Center.
Look at the throw a little fade pattern up top right here.
Trying to hook up with his whatever he's got.
Wow what a grab right there man.
Oh man.
Nice touch Trad Robi, nice touch Robi in and out of the a lot of what we do fiea will you do if he had never died and those two guys rotate in and out right here, this time it's roby's turned.
Roby has been one of the big play receivers on this lion team this year.
And, you know, When you see Lombardi the way he's get, the are, you know, releases his ball.
He's giving his receiver an opportunity to make the adjustments on the defensive back.
Who can't who hadn't picked up the ball yet?
Well, that's a perfectly thrown passengers.
Really no defense for that as you see roby's numbers right there, 24 receptions on the year Beck Road left side, Ronnie Smith still on his feet 15 and out of bounds.
First down Peachtree, Ridge.
Well, we're getting that first Spark of momentum.
Going here.
Good blocking up front right here.
Smith able to find a little bit of real estate there.
And Smith is the guy that coach herand mentioned that they had to stop.
And of course when he's breaking away like this, that's what they'd seen the on tape all week long.
Ball just inside the 15.
And it looks like the Wildcats will call a timeout defensively right here, Peachtree Ridge with one timeout, Camden left with two.
That being their first 2008, left here in the half at a little bit offense right here.
Finally, for Peachtree Ridge able to convert a couple of nice plays, right through the big pass, play to Roby and then Ronnie Smith on the ground.
Coming back, the other way, nice play selection there by the office of coaching staff.
Of course getting I'll try to get in the end zone.
Trying to get some points on the board here before the half.
Well earlier kind of with coach Bill Ballard we asked the question, what's special about this year's lion team?
This this year's team is a neat team.
In the fact that we started out owing to where we were very young on offense.
Especially, you know, they hadn't had a lot of experience at all.
Most of them had been playing JV last year and didn't A lot of the varsity game, the senior class, there's six guys in that class that could qualify for Ivy League schools, so that kind of translates down to the football field as well.
In fact that they, they want to achieve their goal Setters, and they try to get better each week.
And if you can put something out in front of them and say, Hey, you know, if you do this, we can get here, you know, they really try to get it done.
So that to me is been real rewarding.
As far as coaching this, this crowd there, there's so much fun to coach.
They try to play hard every week.
They're not the biggest group of kids, in fact, will be outmatched it that way.
But, you know, size and speed were in trouble little bit this week.
But you know, they just play hard and they try to win.
And you know, they at the end of the day, that's all you can ask of a group of kids and they're just they're so much fun to coach.
That's valid right there, Brandon Stanley.
On that last point, out of the five years, Ronnie Smith who carries it down to the to Peachtree Ridge.
Right now, knocking on the door and begin his small as they are, the quarterback coach Ballard.
These guys are moving the football right here, after four months on their first four series, their two yards away from the first points of this ball game for either side, be sure Ridge.
Again, this drive 51 yards, just 28 all their previous drives inside two minutes.
Nesmith 32 watch him the loan back right here and another timeout going to be called defensively by the Wildcats.
They're down to one.
It's a little bit of strategy playing out right here.
Of course, John Lindsay and Cedric course the code defensive coordinators.
For this Wildcat defense, you gotta love the diversity of the play, calling on that drive their man.
You saw a little running a little and some pass plays.
And, you know, it's just filled that, you know, they're in control their own destiny here because they move the ball right down the field.
And almost they had new life versus, you know, going Toe-to-toe the first quarter and a half.
Absolutely.
See the timeout story right there.
One apiece, pasi leotta the offensive coordinator for Peachtree Ridge.
Trying to get the employee in here.
Figure out what to do.
The understudy is.
Sure, having an opportunity to feel good about his chances of sticking the ball in the end zone on his mentor.
You know, these guys talk to all week and I guess they, you know, they said, hey look, we're friends but right now when we line up on the field and all that goes out of the window, sure.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
You know, work it under each other like that, they do it velvet that relationship.
I think this is actually the first time that here in his face one of his assistants in the postseason.
Yes.
But so yeah, it's business as usual, no doubt when these guys here.
So after the Camden County timeout first, and goal from the to ride side, Ronnie Smith, hit stood up going nowhere.
Great job on that Wildcat defense.
45 dark blue shirts, they're making the stop.
That's great.
Defense of penetration they're getting in and to the backfield of the Lions led by type booth.
The conditional hit right there.
I may have lost a yard on that place a second and goal ball out at the three.
There you look at Oliver the CPC Ridge.
Now, with twins near side, the bottle under Center hands off Ronnie Smith, trying to get to the goal, line, left side, touchdown.
That was an excellent cut by the big pullback to get into the endzone.
They didn't make it easy for nope.
62, 232 pounds into your living room right there.
Take another look at it right here and first the p80 Edward Hicks and that one going to be off to the right side boy.
One of the walk at scheme shoot through their put pressure on the kick.
Not sure if you got a hand on it we do have a penalty marker down those so hold everything.
It's going to look at the touchdown here.
Well that was the play before Smith stood up.
What's the next play?
Came to touchdown Smith going over the left side right here, it's never made a move on.
Ronald flowers to cut you cut back in a course he flowers it's just going to be I'm just gonna be a car wreck but roughing the kicker on the defense, half the distance, replay the try, but yeah, you saw you showed you don't show us power but then you also saw his elusive.
This is nipton is to make the cut back to get into the end zone.
Well, the lines because of the penalty, will have another shot at the extra point.
The game like, this could certainly be huge.
And once again, another situation, this would also going to be roughing.
It looks like a penalty flag, man.
This time the alliance make it stick though, so I doubt, they'll free kick that one and they throw another foot.
Like on the sideline over there that of Peachtree Ridge.
Look like the coaches were out on the field and I saw a flag on flying over their personal file.
Roughing the kicker gigas good.
The king will be taking all the kickoff.
It's actually a penalty yardage on right there.
Just 32 seconds left in the half.
As you see the scoring drive right there for Peachtree Ridge.
Six plays 52 yards 201 off the clock and of course, Ronnie Smith with the three yard touchdown run.
Take another look at that touchdown.
I also have a side.
Lot on the white team first warning, you saw and put that left foot in the ground and cut back inside.
Nicely done.
I got it.
Wet it from up.
High here, exactly.
Bird's-eye view here.
Inside the Georgia, Dome Smith into the end zone, right there, 232 pounder, pounding it up in there and Ronnie Smith in the end zone for the first time here tonight.
And boy has been so good through the playoffs right here.
Again a touchdown, and round one there, 83 yards on 17, carries against Dacula.
This will come back a little bit later on three touchdowns, and then, impressive, quarterfinal win, 38, nothing over coffee.
Of course, they align defense, forcing three turnovers in that game all resulting in points Smith, of course of a couple of those scores there.
We talked a little bit about Williams defensively for Peachtree.
Ridge is had several interceptions in the postseason to in the quarterfinals and of course that emotional win last week over Grayson, who had previously defeated number one Lowndes.
1310 a double overtime.
It was Ronnie Smith.
Who of course, had the game-winning touchdown in the game on a 1-yard run.
They're gonna look at Edward Hicks, who will boot it away as we play the final 32 seconds here in this first, half seven, nothing Peachtree Ridge.
Leading number two, ranked Camden County high kick.
This one out of the back of the end zone right there with the penalty yardage added on to that place of, no doubt about that one there.
And the Wildcats will line up right here for the final 32 ticks on the clock.
Coach Ballard's, got to be pretty pleased to DJ so far with what he's seen.
Absolutely his team has come out and tell you what they've just taken charge of this game as it were going into the half here.
But I think coach herons going to regroup with his Wildcats.
And again, we've been option.
I'm pretty sure they buy come out and take a knee but they're going to regroup and come back out.
It'll be interesting to see what happens in that first couple of minutes of the third quarter here.
Coach Aaron, 19 years overall is a head coach never a losing season after a remarkable job.
I mean he is certainly an icon and a living legend if he will not just in Camden County but all over the state of Georgia in the coaching fraternity as you mentioned, keep it on the ground right here, a little bit of room though.
Watch out again.
That is the end days.
Number 32, who had a touchdown run last week and that's City.
Final win over Newton Newton of course, was the top scoring defense in the state of Georgia and of course, Camden took advantage of some turnovers right there and put up 27 points on them.
20 in the first quarter to see, you got to count inside counter there for a nice game Tackle by War on Garnett.
Another look at first down play again days up to the 35 gain of just to make number 51 right there, Tanner Bots, the other half of that Bots combination there, of course the sophomore twins Tyler and Tanner for Peachtree.
Ridge Post, starting office defensive unit down here in the first half of that will do it.
So through the first 24 minutes of Play, It's the Peachtree Ridge lion 7, Camden County Wildcats, nothing in eight, Defensive battle as we thought it would be here in this first half and man, I can't wait to see what plays out in the next 24 minutes.
Indeed, let's go ahead.
Throw it on, down to Giroud olivieri, who's standing by with Coach Ballard?
Thanks a lot.
Dave, you teams pitching a shutout.
What's been the key to holding Camden County down?
And we're not holding them down there.
Great offense, they move the ball up and down.
We've got a couple Bryce.
You got a good turnover, right there was big for us and our offense did a good job scoring right there.
It's a great team.
They're going to play second half they're going to fight the whole time.
We got to come back and fight in the second half and try to keep playing hard.
They're really good with adjustments.
Do you plan to me?
We're not going to make a lot of adjustments.
We're going to try and take away the fullback.
They've been taking a running the full back on the belly, a little bit.
They've hit us without a couple times.
We've got to do a good job of squeezing that down, and you know, we're trying to get that stop, but we're just going to keep playing what we, you know what, we the way we do and our offense going to keep doing what we do and try to win in there, they're really good.
You know, we're trying, we're good luck in the second half goes back.
You day, I thank you Gerald against 7-nothing or halftime score.
Again, the Peachtree Ridge, lions with the only score of the first half, a three yard run by Ronnie Smith.
And that's where we're at the Battle of bands up next live from the Georgia Dome.

Thanks for everything and we'll send it back upstairs for halftime stats and highlights guys.
All right, thank you.
John, indeed a good first half of high school, football of course Peachtree.
Ridge and Camden County going at it's a lot of hard hit and defense there in that first half DJ.
Absolutely.
We saw a gutsy first half here by both teams down.
Can you see here up inside the full back there?
He's just running hard.
That's good.
Hard-nosed football here.
This big fullback for Peachtree Ridge are yeah Ronnie Smith instead of let me see the throw right there.
Great Baker, who's banged up there a little bit in that first half, as John mentioned, had his ankles taped third.
You're going to see a good decision right here as well.
By Lombardo Lombardo has again.
Don't we talked about him, having all the tools, but he's not the biggest guy, but he just does enough to keep his team in the ball game and he's a big, he played a big part of the first half offensive football, of course.
The, this is the run that got him going.
I think that, and this is a touchdown run, watch them put that left foot in the ground.
Get back inside of that Defender and stick the ball in the end zone.
Great there.
Indeed again Ronnie Smith with the only score of the first half is just see the numbers right there.
46, rushing yards for Peachtree Ridge 112 for the Wildcats, but again, the alliance lead it on the scoreboard and see the passing yards.
There 124 to 80 total first downs.
925 you see third down conversions Peachtree, Ridge with zeros so far, three of seven, therefore, a Camden.
And, of course, the time of possession, right there.
Nine curious, 28 yards, and the touchdown for running smooth, okay?
But it'd be eager to see here.
The first couple of minutes as they come back out and who will take control of this second half, it's a great game here.
Of course, one score will tie this thing up.
Of course, I know that you coach Heron went in and gave a tongue-lashing to his football team.
Absolutely seven out there will take a timeout be right back with more from the Georgia Dome kickoff of the second half coming up in this Class.

This is Georgia, public broadcasting.
Your PBS station 7 nothing as we get set for the start of the second half.
Let's go downstairs to John Nelson, who's standing by with Coach Aaron.
Thanks guys here with Coach here and let's talk about that first half.
You knew what you were getting into all this time.
Well, you know, I thought, Both teams played pretty well and quite honestly John I felt like we kind of dominated the half until right there with you know four minutes ago.
We turn the ball over and then they hit a long pass on us.
So they made a big play.
We do not and we had a 12-play drive 11-play drive but we didn't finish them.
So all we told him to half times, we need to come out and finish what we started.
And obviously, the entry to Gregor reorient things offensively to.
Well, you know, he got her Jeremiah booze, got hurt, or starting nose guard, but, you know, it's part of the game.
And next, guys got to step up.
Thanks for your time.
Coach Wilson.
It stares.
Jeff Heron has some work to do.
All righty.
Thank you.
John, again, coach hearing with a state championship, in 1999, with a, Coney County of perfect 15-0 season that year.
Then, of course, left after that, I went to Camden County and parts has been all success.
Ever since then eight, straight region championships, including this year.
What?
A job, he's done.
Anything that stands out in my mind, you hear about the coaches, talk about him.
And, of course, we talked about the 19 assistance that have gone on and their head coaches.
Now, as long as organizational skills, you know, this guy runs this program like a Let's program.
Great weight room.
Of course they said they live among commitment for his players and I'm looking to see it.
I'm eager to see you here in the second half.
You talked about that 11 month, commitment in the weight room, they put in work.
So of course second half as tough as the first half was.
I think these guys, you know, we were gonna see some good football, absolutely.
Two teams that have great offseason ethic work ethic and, you know, that's a good point.
Some games aren't necessarily one in September to October there wanted marks and you know, in April and it early in the year, they're in the weight room.
And indeed, these are two programs that have certain Only put it together.
Damn, it will Boot It Away.
Of course, they won the coin toss received in the first half so they will kick it off to Peachtree Ridge and the lions will have the ball first here to start the second half that one going to drive Connor Norman back inside the five he is hit hard inside the 15 and so Peachtree.
Ridge.
Once again, working with a long field right here, is you see Norman of off the ground there the senior and they have fans in the house here tonight.
You know, DJ, I remember backlash, You're when you and I were getting hit in the back by that, Monsoon down there and middle Oz.
What say you ought to certainly a nice change of pace.
You're right.
Needless to say, we're glad that it came indoors.
Then we can't get rained on in here.
Here we go.
If we do the, we know something's really wrong.
They're gonna look at Nick Lombardo there again for of 8:00 tonight.
34 yards for the junior in the first half.
He will hand it to Brandon Stanley to open up.
This third quarter in Stanley abruptly across the 20 for a gain of six.
Brandon had some interesting runs in the first half, But this guy's has an unusual Talent.
He's a 66 high jumper now.
And again he was a wide receiver before they moved in the backfield.
But again, just another weapon.
Absolutely, you see Ty Booth right there who made the stop number 30.
Ruth, a senior linebacker here, second down and four.
Seven times this year, the soffits are scored under 20 points but they still been able to come out on top.
They played a lot of close games this year, a lot of big character wins.
And there you see Ronnie Smith who have the only score of the first half with his first Carry here, the second half and he's going to be right at that first down marker.
In fact, he will have the first stone went back steps up to make the hit on the big pullback.
Defensively this year, of course, the Wildcats nine times of allowed just a touchdown or less.
So that kind of shows you where both defense is around here.
Tonight, both giving up just a little over touchdown season averages as he spits numbers of the first 10:30.
Rush is 33 yards and that 3-yard, touchdown against Smith, a senior First and Ten just across the 25.
Straight Ahead Smith again, pounding it in there, just shy of the 30 and he'll have three or four.
I'll tell you what a steady dose of Ronnie Smith will do a defensive harm, it's gonna be, definitely some icing going on after this game.
I don't know whether Smith is going to get more of it or the Defenders.
He's pounded it up in there, tough.
He's running tall, he's running hard.
You know, we talked about Camden and their top rated offense, they certainly have one of the best defenses in the state though.
No doubt about that 60 fence at touchdowns this year.
They've been very opportunistic and causing turnovers and there's one right there.
An interception at the 40, the 30 25, It'll be out at the one.
Wow, a job right there by Josh active on Walker Kevin Walker.
The junior DB steps in front of a password after that was Josh Johnson.
Actually number 25 will take a look at it right here.
I mean he's he's just breaks on the ball.
Of course the ball was led a little inside, but he makes a great job, keeping his balance and of course smelling the end zone and taking it to pay dirt.
It's he stepped out right at the one.
So, how about that?
Right there again?
Josh Johnson number 25.
Again, that ball may have been tipped there.
They were trying to go to Roby with it.
Johnson was able to get in front of that one right there and head down.
The sideline nearly took it in and nearly tie this game up, but now it's the Wildcat offense.
39 yard return on the interception.
There by Johnson, big play, Big play, Christian Milstead is going to sneak in himself.
Takes it in there, no signal yet.
And I believe they're going to bark up.
Just shine will be second and goal.
That's all it took.
I mean, of course I, you know, I knew it was happening.
I know what's gonna come this team has been so successful and they're used to coming from behind, and of course, getting a big play by Johnson, you know, we were just talking about that opportunity defense and, man, we spoke on cue.
And that's the offense trying to punch it in Darryl Williams, and Daniel Valdez in the backfield, they'll give it to Williams right side.
Driving End Zone, touchdown one-yard run.
By Darrell Williams credit, the 39 innocent 39, yard interception return.
Which led to this one yard run.
Nice job there indeed and now the Wildcats will try to tie it up with a p80.
A lot of football left to be played here.
Absolutely boy.
The complexion of this game is certainly changed here Peachtree.
Ridge was looking good and a la creme, converted, a first down.
And now here's Maddie has with the p80 and we are all tied up 9:35 left here in the third period, 20 of football to be played and boy that has certainly gotten again a crowd on their feet.
Taking a look at it there in the middle good blocking.
So I'll play last week from Camden in a very similar situation was a fourth and goal from about the two or three against Noonan and the ram basically that same plate right there with Williams kind of cutting in and then cutting back into the middle right.
There is cut off a tackler and got it across the goal line, and he redoes it tonight uncharacteristically.
Lombardi has a turnover there.
But again, it's going to see what I want to come back to plays one yard, 31 seconds, and all that's needed right here.
This thing started.
7 apiece.
Now, they've hurt, you know, History Ridge was causing throwing the ball and it'll be interesting to see if they come right back so that they can show confidence and it because they've been mixing and running the past pretty decently in the first half.
And of course, getting a turnover sometime, that might spook the offensive coordinator to be interesting to see what happens.
D'Angelo Smith to kick it away.
Low liner right here and that one will go out of Bounce touched and that ball will go dead inside the 1.
So a special teams mistake right there.
They look like Brad, Roby went over there on the air return at ball, touch them and then went out of bounds and it had a wicked roll on it as well.
Check out this ball.
How boy?
That's it.
Hit the ground hits him and goes out of Bounds at the one.
And he do it to see the expression with those hands right there.
As you take another look here and yep, hit him on the leg.
And he knew it.
So now the lions are in a little bit of a hole right here.
That's a sending least in ago 99 yards.
Well, I don't know, they better hope they get out of their own end zone right now.
Look at the Wildcat stack.
It it and this time gonna just keep it right here to get a little bit of breathing room, does Lombardo With Ronnie Smith leading the way that big offensive line you see big number 75 up there, Austin Bouchard the Junior Tackle.
Matt Jackson on the stop.
You sure are listed at 270 pounds right there, we've got some size up front there and then you've got to some of those other folks make her a net 297 brabham 230 up front.
Second down and five after a gain of five right side, watch out running.
To the races.
One man to beat 4030.
It's a foot race and Smith will win it touchdown.
Can you believe it?
99 yards.
Wow, the drive we asked.
I asked the question could they go 99?
I guess I got the answer.
You got the answer indeed.
Well how's that for?
Answering the bell.
I was a huge run less than a minute later.
Ronnie Smith, you know the big fullback, we do it for his power and for his speed and boy turns it on right here.
Smith with his second touchdown of the night.
See the diving attempt right there, I think it's that same Wildcat player.
That's still down on the field at the 15.
What's the official distance of this run?
We've 94 yards what it looks like right here.
And yeah you see number 11 right there.
Michael Green who Dove and when he missed, but he came down that shoulder hard and I think he's still down on the field.
That's a lot of speed going down the field.
That is at.
That's an impressive run, you know, we've been seeing him hammering it hammin it up inside you know in the first half but I tell you what that's going to go on his highlight reel.
Absolutely it's been fall.
232 pounds green is up there.
You see Smith with a 94 yard touchdown, run his second TD of the night.
And that's certainly one of the senior will remember for the rest of his life.
Yep, right there.
All smiles there but still just a 7-point game as you see 12 rushes.
Now 131 that 94 yard run of course making that look a lot better right there.
And of course the two touchdown performance are so far with 841 left here in this third quarter.
So fireworks here inside the Georgia Dome is the lions.
Look to add the p80 and go back up by a touchdown.
Since the 80s are so crucial and a game like this.
Yeah.
Well, every Point against either one of these defenses counts, no doubt about that ears Hicks.
He knocks it through there, Edward Hicks, 2 for 2 on PA T's here tonight and it's 14-7 Peachtree.
Ridge Lions over the Camden County Wildcats here, and what SE you want?
Just a great job there.
By Ronnie Smith.
He's fired up.
Will step aside be right back, more from the Dome when we return right here, live on GPB.

See the blocking up front, they're good chop.
A little crease is all he needs and then it's Off to the Races good-looking run by a good-looking running back and it was all set up by the mishandled of the kickoff by Bread.
Roy Roby actually is backed up Peachtree Ridge.
The one-yard line, of course, they got a little extra room and Of course, Smith was Off to the Races.
You know, it's a game of momentum DJ and it wasn't looking good came to just scored the touchdown or I'll be at first possible to kick off out of bounds inside the one that all of a sudden come roaring right back, they get the big touchdown right there and so now the momentum is right back where was that coming out of the locker room?
And now we got to see if the Wildcats can answer on their end.
Well, first thing the Lions have to do they have to cut go down and cover this kickoff because again you know sometimes team get lackadaisical on special teams did.
So this this return team here?
I'm sure.
It's going to try to spark something here.
Edward Hicks will boot it away.
Low line around here that will drive the cats.
We have the end zone right there, and that's always the best coverage for kickoffs, just kick the thing in zone, but downstairs to John Nelson.
John.
Thank you.
Dave injury update really quickly on Michael Green.
You saw on the Replay for the touchdown, how he went all out, he is now officially all done.
Initial diagnosis.
Broken collarbone, he's done for the night.
All right.
Thank you.
Johnny boy, that is certainly unfortunate for the Wildcats again, Michael Green has certainly been a standout You're here tonight and that is a very painful Andrea there in Deeds, there are thoughts, are certainly with Michael Green, as you see Christian Milstead in the Wildcat offense.
Now, can it back onto the field right here, as they take over trailing by seven, with 841 here, in this third quarter, this is an offense, that's averaged over 44 points, a game this season, the state's top scoring offense which is 7 points are here though, through two and almost two and a half quarters, look at days, right there again.
Ian days, a couple of nice runs there in the first half of big guy, one of those big full backs.
Mr.
Junior lots of Juniors on these rosters here.
So scared to thank especially for their opponents that so they can both these teams have a lot of kids coming back next year and this time nothing doing great job right there.
Stiffed out all the way by Tyler box.
We call their names on quite a bit in the first half and getting back to making place here in a second.
But look like I was just a Miss communication or look at La Salette play.
Yeah.
Hillestad had nowhere to go with that one.
He had a face full of bots once he turned the corner there so third and 15 right here and now the Peachtree Ridge Lions will pin their ears back and come after him here Wildcats get a perfect 14 and 0 on the season.
Trying to get a big conversion right here.
They've had success on third down tonight.
Milstead throwing long down.
The field has a man there and it's caught D'Angelo Smith.
10 5 touchdown D'Angelo Smith.
I'm on mine.
Wow beautifully executed play.
So, how do you like that?
Both teams with back-to-back long scores of his football game and that one covers 85 yards against Smith In The End Zone.
A perfectly placed ball from Christian Milstead.
Take a look at how this ball comes off of his fingers and of course Williams runs right up under it went right back to Defenders, get behind two of the peach tree.
Lions Defenders.
Look at Smith right there.
Time to shake a hand down there as well.
So it asks the Wildcats are looking to tie this thing up and boy, all of a sudden it was all defense in the first half and out all offense.
You're so far in this third quarter and there is he has for the p80 and it's 14 all tied up.
Once again, tell you, when you plan to be talking about these two defense, has you never would think that they would have a 94 yard run or an 85-yard pass.
These guys are If just too good.
Is another look Milstead getting some air up under the ball, giving his receiver a chance to run up under Well, just a great pass.
Great catch good concentration there.
As a big league throwing a big league kitchen.
This is Smith of course got behind the secondary right there.
Just right down the sideline.
And it looked like a pitcher, will affirm have let up a little bit?
I'm not sure.
They thought no State could really are it out like that stops.
Plants of just Yves it up.
That's a big throw.
So, how do you like that?
DJ against three scores of this football game and almost two and a half minutes again?
That's why everybody's watching?
I'm sure because again, is your to very good talented football team.
Look at that tongue lashing, that get co-chair and trying to fire him up with errand.
Boy, this crowd is certainly fired up as well.
Of course, the old folks make it the trip from Camden County, the Southeastern corner of the state, wearing the whole blue here tonight.
Of course, Peachtree Ridge in the visiting.
Why It uniforms their fans are here in a whiteout tonight.
Over all the visiting side there.
And there you look at the man.
He has to catch the touchdown and they have to go out there and kick it off his foot it to or this one is returnable.
It'll be taken after year 12.
Body up back right here, right after 20, hit and drop.
Nice job on the coverage.
That was Ronnie Smith on the kickoff.
Return for Peachtree Ridge.
We've got ourselves a ball game right here with 714 left of this third period.
Again, the a peach tree Ridge offense well over 3,500 total yards this year.
And that's a no, that's quite a makeup job right here.
That's detail.
Yes, that's what you call detail right there.
First attempt for the Lions I formation.
But by now again, back under Center Ronnie Smith.
Straight Ahead us knocked backwards.
Big play there by big number 33, Martavius buyers, nice defensive effort by Myers.
Of course just pulling up man.
Enough 612 35 their Myers.
Get this camera defense is so quick.
Lots of movement makes it tough on it off.
To try to account for the guys, especially upfront Peachtree.
Ridge has done a pretty good job here tonight, though.
Giving Lombardo's time when he's been able to throw the football and also open up some holes are for Smith for run through just one yard though on that last players a quick pitch that is Brandon Stanley.
Trying to turn the corner, there was hit right at the 25 of the driven backwards and will be third down as coming third about five for Peachtree Ridge.
Tie Booth was a A big part in coming up and containing.
See, a lot of speed is Brandon Stanley was trying to get to the outside, but boot came up again.
Simon football, playing assignment football here.
You see the third down conversion story?
Tonight, it's not good for feature-rich.
045 try to convert one right here in a crucial situation ball.
Just outside their own 25 twins near side and not going to get it on that one.
Make it 0 for 6 on third Downs tonight.
We're Peachtree Ridge.
Nice job on that Wildcat defense.
Force fourth down and that will also Force the punt unit on the field for the Lions figure.
Look at Glen Mac made that play.
Fixed up.
A lot of great games are over the course of the last couple of days here.
Chris.
This is the first of a couple of different 14, 2012 and two matchups.
Right here, Force.
Last night we had a couple of 13 and once going at it Tucker, various two teams with a lot of history tonight.
First meeting between the two that snap nearly got away, Williford able to punt it and Smith.
A returnable ball right here, takes it as hit.
After just about a to you, I return there, but good field position for the Wildcat offense, they will operate from the 47 Michael Anton.
Found on the coverage, while many of the players participating in these GHSA championships will be playing in the annual Georgia Athletic.
Coaches association is north-south All-Star game.
Now this will be your last chance to see some of Georgia's, senior football standouts and high school competition.
This year's event will take place on Monday.
December 29th in Memorial Stadium in Columbus, kicked off a scheduled for 2:00 p.m. and Coach.
Jeff Heron.
You have 2008 to gacaca, South All-Star, coach and big play right off the bat there offensively The Wildcats after the punt.
Big number 32 their days fired up after a big run it.
Like somebody shot him out of a cannon there and let's take a look Mills.
They didn't give me a hand up here man he accelerates up inside there.
There's these big men showing some speed as backed up here tonight.
You know, they're just, they're just supposed to run into people.
They're not supposed to outrun people.
This time days again, gets his number called will carry it to the 40 picks up two.
Maybe three will be second down for the Wildcats.
Now the Box on the study times that we called.
Oh yeah, yeah, see today's numbers Tim rushes for 44 yards.
The ajudar was barred, no stuff yardage there in the middle, second and eight.
280, rushing yards for Camden in their ground to match up against Northside Warner Robins.
That's I'm, Andre Johnson getting what he can fix up a couple more going to be third down now for the cats.
See Kevin Millar, let's go downstairs to Gerald Oliveira Joe.
What do you got?
Hey Dave, is we take a look at the Peachtree Ridge defense.
We got to take a look at Kevin Mentor as we talked about earlier on in the program.
He's actually gonna graduate Early this month and start LSU next semester.
So he can get a jump on the classes.
He's one of the leaders for the team and the coach says he's an outstanding kid and he's also an outstanding leader back up to you.
Dave Cara Williams on the carry right there.
Yeah, I know that's a great Point year old and I tell you what DJ I mean that's what it's all about a student-athlete not only getting it done on the field to get it done in the classroom as well.
I mean, he's going to graduate early head on down there.
I know those college coaches, certainly appreciate being able to get those guys into came to Camp, a little bit sooner there, and that's gonna put him ahead of It will.
Fourth into Wildcats, with the offense on the field right here ball at the lion.
35 and now looks like we've got a timeout here by Camden County that'll be their first up the second half.
It comes at the 327 bark here of this third period.
Like, if something opportunity to talk a little bit more about mentoring and it's special situation for you, don't get a kid this talented on the football field.
But excels in the classroom to the point that he can graduate early to go ahead and get a jump start, as you said it on his Only his college studies but also to get in the weight room and get acclimated to the LSU schemes that were on the defensive side of the football.
Absolutely.

Actor.
Of course, purple.
I'd have been busy in between some of the ball games right here with some pledges and certainly take advantage of it again.
Support a good quality, programming right here at Georgia public broadcasting.
In addition to these high school football and of course basketball championships as well coming up here, few months.
Fourth down and two, after the timeout, Wildcats going for it, try to turn the corner.
They've got the first down and more out of bounds goes in days, but he will have the first marked out of the 27, a gain of seven, and we'll set up a first down for the Wildcats, you know, it looked like the Lions defense, had problems with getting adjusted it set up, they weren't quite set, which gave day is an opportunity to get outside, break, containment, and get some great yardage.
Taking a look at it right here.
Go to folder feature.
Rigid Pursuit.
Just could get there in time days.
The big man showing off some quickness.
See the Lions have got all 11 for that about 67 yards.
A lot of scrimmage.
You see everybody on the field right there in your frame.
Here's Andre Johnson.
He's got some real estate over the left side.
This time, take it down fibernet at the tail end of that play.
But not before a gain of almost 10 yards.
Camden County has been rejuvenated.
I tell you, they get a newfound strength.
He's running back sir, really exploding into the holes and looking really fresh here in the second half.
Once again, no-huddle second and one millstead quickly under Center Bright side this time.
Another first down, watch out in days, breaks a tackle inside the 10 down to the 6.
It will be first and goal Wildcats and man.
Great job up front by that offensive line and for tell you what they got some size up there as well.
See more 278 McLain 273.
Those big guys going at it.
And the Wildcats quickly on the ball right here, trying to keep Peachtree Ridge from being able to substitute Personnel right here.
This is an impressive drive by Camden County.
Yes, it is.
first and goal, Williams in motion Johnson into the middle, Dives inside the five, Second goal with two and a half to play here in the third, stop bait by Ronnie.
Smith Wildcats quickly back on the ball wasting, no time here to see John Johnson in at fullback and this time, gonna pitch it out, Williams cuts it.
Back in his hit, though.
Great job, right there.
By number 50, AJ McDonald, the junior linebacker who made that stop and may have prevented a touchdown.
I was a nice play there again, you don't, you get up.
You get these little quick backs in space and you'll see running back.
Takes the toss out.
There could have very easily made a move.
But again, holding his own out there, come fighting off of black, making the tackle for a very short game 14.
All right here.
Kevin try to change all that third and goal.
This time the right side days down to the tube and a Min and a half left here in the third period.
Did you see days?
Of course it was really been the Workhorse on this drive for Camden County and it'll be fourth and goal.
You see that last play right there?
Tripped up decision time for Coach Aaron.
Do you kick the field goal to you?
Go for it right here we'll have to wait and see big play Pokemon enrollment coming up here and getting the tackle.
Those look like we've got a time out of the field.
Yes.
The Wildcats want to talk it over here.
And decide what they want to do.
You see Williams right there, number eight, through a little block.
There you see, Attaway number 99, there we are tied and the is senior into the Ballgame, they're also out on the edge, try to throw a block there, but Peachtree, Ridge.
Able to hold days out of the end zone force in that fourth down.
Three timeouts for Peachtree Ridge.
Just one left out for Camden County.
Just burn their second one right there.
You know this whole Drive is just seemed like you know, these facts from Camden County have been rejuvenated.
And again I think that's a credit to again that great system that we talked about that coach Heron has down there and 11 months of training.
These guys are grinded it out, that's what they do.
Great weekend here inside the Georgia Dome and of course a lot of great games playing out over the last few days.
Of course this is game.
Five of five live right here on GPB and of course, yesterday have some great ball games there.
It was Buford winning their second straight Championship 45:21 over Calhoun in the 2A state championship.
And then, of course, last night, the night cap it was Tucker winning, their first state championship defeating rival, Mary's 2:45 force, that of the for a State title earlier today.
Wesleyan a winner over manual County Institute, the single a game and a AAA.
It was Cairo 2014, winners over Flowery Branch that, of course, in 3A action right now, five a actions all tied up 14 all but it's forth into 4th and goal and this time I'm into the middle touchdown Darryl Williams number eight with his second score of the night.
And that look like the same play that he scored on on the other end of the field earlier, great drive by the Wildcat offense.
Williams is really had to pick up the pace with Baker, being banged up the last few weeks and boy, he is certainly answered the challenge taking it in from two yards out on 4th and goal and now it's Camden County who's leading 22:14 pending the p80, great luxury to have when you're back, you lose a back like bigger.
And in the course of you got it.
These other guys that can come in like Williams and do the job.
He has for the p80 and he knocks it through there.
21 to 14, Camden County with their first lead of the night.
And it comes on a 2-yard run on 4th and goal from Darryl Williams who takes it in there.
Look at those blockers moving their way.
In there, again, big number 63, Matt Josh Adelie leading the way right there for his daily and excellent student athlete and a leader up front on that offensive line.
And Pave the way right there, of course Griffis.
The tide in today is a great blocking going on up and then we know we've been talking about these running backs but again those unsung heroes up front on the offensive line, tremendous job, tremendous job.
Well this is more of that offense that we've become Danone from Camden County and verse 44 point average this year as you see the drive 11 plays 53 yards.
357 and of course, he's second touchdown for Williams on the night to a go along with the earlier one there.
As well and just a great job right there.
But this is the offense for the Wildcats that we've seen all year.
So now it's up to the Lions to try to answer that once again, the truest form of the wing.
T, you see, coach, Fowler talking, things over with Kevin Millar right there first, pallor more of a defensive minded coach?
Of course, he was the defensive coordinator for Coach Jeff parent when they won the state championship in a Coney County back.
Into the end zone right here, Ro be unable to return it.
So Peachtree Ridge will come out to the 20.
Aaron, of course, with a 83 834 winning percentage, third, best in Georgia among active coaches.
As you see, Nick Lombardo coming back in to try to be the field General here for this offense, and try to answer the Bell here, which both teams have kind of done in the second half late for last year, lost the Roswell and round two, twenty three.
Twenty it over time the year.
Before that, of course.
Lombardo hit right away feature Rich claiming a co-championship with Roswell tie Booth.
Once again making a huge play coming off the edge with number 30, good-looking athlete, right there, andy.
510 200 pounder, they're going to look at Lombardo, put a solid game here tonight for the Lions offensive ly.
Well, his thing isn't managing, of course this offense, if it ever needs managing, now he needs to manage them.
Another score I'll look after you shifting up front.
As we mentioned, the Wildcat defense, moves a lot of.
Keep it on the ground this time.
Brandon Stanley.
Trying to turn the corner.
Stanley's got some pretty good Jets.
We've seen him do that.
A couple of times here tonight really attack the perimeter there and get outside.
Stanley a junior.
He sure is, of course, one that Co championship in 2006 and Dublin, Charlton County, also co-champs that year and I think that's what triggered the the overtime procedure in the postseason ever since that Panda.
Who knows, who could be headed for Supreme football here tonight?
Depend on what happens in the you.
Next next one quarter and a one minute, they're crossed the 030 their gain of a couple on her.
Down, reach your Ridge was able to pick up that first down by the way, there on that to last place you see Big Ronnie Smith with another Carrie.
Also in on the, on the play, Matt Jackson and Donald Glover.
Some campers up front, right?
They're really crispy Creekside 49 nothing in round 1 and round 2.
If we had a tough assignment with Northside Warner Robins well that was 2820 because it'll fade pattern right here.
Going up top that what out of the neighborhood?
They're looking for Williford and complete.
After round 2, of course cabinet took on Woodstock, a surprising teammate.
Fourth seed that came into the playoffs made a lot of noise right there and was actually leading over this cabinet team.
I think with the Wildcats quarterback, Michael Green, who is now out of the lineup with an interception return.
For a touchdown was really, the turning point of that football game of the quarterfinals, and then, of course, that led to the win last week against soon as you see, third bass 04, 64 Peachtree Ridge.
And, here's another one right here.
Third and seventh are going to have to convert third Downs, if they want to win this football game tonight.
Kind of keep it on the ground right here.
Brandon Stanley is hit and dropped at the 36 going to be well, shy of the first down of gain of only two, and it will be fourth down tie.
Both once again on the stop, Nice job there.
Indeed, boy booths, both boots have been busy here this evening and that will do it through three quarters of play, your score of the Camden County.
Wildcats 21 Peachtree, Ridge, Lions, 14 will step aside be right back with the fourth and final quarter.

Let's go downstairs to John Nelson, John.
What do you got?
Building young men at Camden instead of just football player.
Alright 21-14.
Again Peachtree.
Ridge with a fourth down right here.
Sent to punt again unable to convert their 0 for 7 tonight on third Downs.
So again, looking to get rid of the football right here, Mitchell Williford.
Look it up on it away again.
Forty three point three average on the year Angela Smith number five, it looks like back deep.
It is own 25 will get out of the way or this one will.
If you're trying to angle it and it rolls dead athlete 29, I think it's a safe.
Bet to say that the folks that are here in the Georgia Dome tonight, got their money's worth, and of course, the folks that are watching I tell you this is a great game.
You can you imagine being Kickback watching this game?
I mean, you know.
Yeah, it's been a fun weekend.
Yes, exactly.
A lot of good games here.
Indeed, of course, still one more quarter to play in this one, it's still not decided.
21:14, again, in the battle of the Ferocious felines the cat's in the lines here tonight.
Christian Milstead will go back under Center and work that offense, and boy, this is a big drive right here for Camden County if they're able to put some more points up on the board, all that ball pops loose, but Ian days in position and that was kind of reminiscent of what we saw last week from this Camden team when they fumbled around the goal line.
But still Full score, the touchdown and boy that time days.
Bailed Williams out.
And as the junior, take another, look at it right here that ball stripped out, tackling that football.
Yeah, being in the right place at the right time for days.
Second and four after a gain of six 2114 Wildcats lead at Dave Garner along with it.
DJ Jones, John Nelson Jared Oliveira in the Cylon here tonight long with the rest of the Georgia public broadcasting team at.
There's Andre Johnson up to the 45, and a first down, a gain of 10, brought down by Conor Norman.
After a great effort, Johnson up, inside been running tough.
He looks like he's getting stronger and stronger the later and that we get into this ballgame.
Wildcats TJ with 14 region titles, five, semi final appearances and playoffs every year under coach Aaron.
Been a remarkable run and looking for their second state championship here tonight.
Here's Johnson on the carry up to the 47.
Meanwhile, you got to wonder winter, people going to start respecting Peachtree Ridge.
I mean, my goodness, unranked in the preseason, of course won the state championship.
Couple years ago, just seven and three during that regular season finished up 11, 3 and 1 as the co-champs worse this year, they lost the first two games of the regular season of rattle off 12 in a row.
And boy, just it always.
Looks like they're the underdog going in.
And they always seem to find a way to win.
Well, if they want their respect that you're gonna have to knock off Camden County and right now, just not looking that way.
It's still 10 minutes left.
Oh here we go.
Left side Johnson.
Takes it up to Midfield.
Gain of two or three on the play.
Big third down of coming.
Eric boat anchor, the junior number 46.
We look at Vincent Brown, the senior cat back for Peachtree Ridge co-chairing right here.
As we mentioned, the 2008 gacaca, South All-Star coach, we're talking about that game, of course, coming up, that's a later on their December 29th at Memorial Stadium.
In Columbus pitch to the outside or at their nice job defensively.
Once again, bio Docker who makes the estoppel, it will be fourth down for Camden.
In a couple of yards.
Excellent play by a dunker, having the presence of Mind, Of course, keep his outside on free.
But, and also making the tackle, Just one time out for the Wildcats.
Remember they burn to earlier than right and so they will send out the appoint unit right here.
Will be D'Angelo Smithy a senior who will look to booted away.
Wilfred The Return Man.
Were Peachtree, Ridge.
Gets it away.
Good protection right there.
Fair catch signal call for at the 17.
Are you look at coach Bill Ballard?
And we asked him earlier the week, what he likes best about coaching personally, you know, you like to see guys, you know, come through your program and, you know, learn how to be a competitive.
Learn, you know, the things that football teaches as far as working together as a team, toward a common goal and things like that.
I enjoy that part of it and I enjoy seeing guys become successful in the fact that they graduate from college, get a degree, you know, one of the neat things.
In coaching is when you when you get to make it to that Thanksgiving day and if you're still playing which normally it's been in the second round this year was harder because the third round.
But you know that Thanksgiving a lot of them come back and you know, because our home from college and you get to see him and talk to him and you know, see how they're doing.
That's a lot of fun.
I mean it's neat to see guys go on and be successful and You know, come back and show you what kind of man they are.
You know, that's that's neat.
You know, it's always fun to be able to see the players progress, you know, especially through Middle School all the way through high school and his coach Ballard talked about more than just teaching football.
It's about shaping.
These young men into the good Fathers and husbands and things like that and respectable citizens.
And both of these men here doing a good job of that tonight.
Absolutely.
Here we go.
After the a thought, right there, again, feature-rich football, and you see LeBar, no diving up to the 18, maybe a gain of one that's about, although Oliver right there.
One of the guys in on the stop, Gavin, Oliver, senior, who we focused on up top here tonight.
DJ and he's had a good ball game defensively.
Well, then surprise us because again, this guy, you know, he has that defensive mentality, first and foremost and he's he attacks the attacks.
The ball 58 170 pounds.
Second and 11 actually lost a yard on that last play to see Oliver right there.
We while Nick Lombardo trying to generate some field position right here to at least give the Lions a chance here with a little over eight minutes left.
Looks like a Timeout on the field right here.
Going to be called by Peachtree.
Ridge.
Kim opportunity to regroup.
Look like they were just a little off-kilter.
They're not quite sure.
Well, this point the game you got to make sure you have it right?
That's right let me there's only eight oh nine left it's just a one possession game right here it's momentum's kind of swung back and forth and hey you know Ronnie Smith is one little you know seem away as we it was we know from from taking it to the house.
That's right.
I'm being you know it's it's just a wonderful thing to see the versatility of Smith.
I've been helping side in, on the long touchdown run a little bit earlier.
Let's check in with a Gerald olivieri, Gerald, what do you got?
Hey, Davis.
Mention Peachtree.
Ridge may not get the respect and that's because they only have one D1 Prospect in the senior class.
However, the team has come together and really jailed under coach Ballard.
He also said that, they don't have quite the names like that championship team from two years ago, where seven of the seniors went on to play D1 as freshman and football or basketball.
He does think there may be some D1 prospects in the junior class but he's really proud of how the team has come together and played as a unit and that's the word team.
I mean that's the word you got to emphasize.
Size right there, they come together as a team.
You know, you don't always have all the D1 prospects.
But it depends on how well you play together and if you could, you can do that.
You can mesh as a group That's what's ultimately going to lead to success.
Here's a second down and 11 Lombardo rolling looking hot.
It would it get rid of it and there is Gavin Oliver.
Wow, big play right there.
Oliver came out of nowhere and pulls them down.
Excellent, defensive play by Oliver.
Take another.
Look at it here, you've got to hunt up.
Some bar, do not giving him a chance, you know?
That's a hard throw to going to his left with the right hand quarterback but excellent.
Excellent.
Defensive football play, watch the speed up front.
Look at Oliver sniff that play out for the beginning Right Down the Line because we talked about these guys really go sideline to sideline very well.
Absolutely.
And what was more important than anything.
Of course it.
And he's played that play was so disciplined.
He was able to go over in each hole.
And then snuff out the quarterback.
Camden County with 22 current college players, talking about the success with the next level.
Here's Ronnie Smith.
He's going to be hit and drop just shy of the 15.
That was a third down and Long play right there.
And now it's going to be fourth down.
And once again, Oliver and you see booth number 30, right there on your own, they stop all of us having a field day, and there's Ronnie Smith, a little slow to get up right there.
He should be tired, he should be good and tight.
You know that pounded in the first half and then, of course, that's 94, yard Sprint.
Yeah.
Well you know you're talking about There's going to be somebody icing themselves after the yeah they're a little bit and and to be honest with you probably gonna be a little bit of both.
I mean you know Ronnie Smith going to be icing there a little bit but I'm sure some folks on that Wildcat defense well as well as you see that last play before their by Oliver, the esacach pulling Lombardo Down and Out Peachtree, Ridge really with no choice but to punt the football away.
Right here, this deep in their own territory.
Still got top 70 for anything can happen.
It's one possession game.
We're going to look at Mitchell Williford.
One of the wind players gingerly being helped off the field of that is Ronnie Smith, we saw get up slow and you see his numbers here tonight.
Yeah, 16.
Russia's 141 yards and two touchdowns.
94 of that coming on one place.
Great night.
Great night for Smith.
Now the Wildcats stand against them, great field position right here after this bunt and they will set up a return Williford gets it out of there.
Good high kick, they're going to angle it away from Smith and it will roll towards the sidelines and Out of Bounds at the 46.
So Camden County will start on the plus side of the field right here.
With 642 left of the ball game.
Excellent field position for the Wildcats Camden 58 straight regular season victories from 2001 to 2005, what a stretch right there.
They've only lost a couple since then one last year, to Aiken, South Carolina was the only regular season loss first.
They beat two teams from out of state this year and team from Florida and also a Powerhouse and Alabama.
There in Hoover as you see, millstead's numbers here tonight to a 5 97 yards and a touchdown.
They've had games where they've only throw the football once including that round Game against North Side.
They had one pass point.
It was good for a 71 yard.
Touchdown here is some room for Daniel Valdez.
Valdez the senior fullback has played behind Andre Johnson here a little bit tonight, but Valdez with the first down run, tell you, what do you want?
You running that wing-t. Don't know whether football is you can.
That's why it's so important for the defense to just execute your job, gain a 12, and I've been real impressed tonight, but the play of all these running backs, they play a lot of different people.
See a delay, the big tight end number 99 will stay in the Ballgame right here.
Once again, wing-t look.
Valdez did a good job really in that last play of keeping his balance there after bouncing off of the first would-be tackler.
That's Williams of motion, Straight Ahead.
Nothing that time though for Valdez.
Nice play by Chris Carroll again that billis that undersized nose guard, nose tackle, whatever you want to call it making penetration and getting into the backfield Camden County, you know.
Yeah.
A little over 200 pounds.
He says, he's five-ten coaches.
He's 58.
Maybe, we'll give them 59 be generous there.
But yeah, he's certainly not the biggest kid on the field before he causes a lot of have it.
One thing he definitely is a football player.
Yeah.
You tell that by looking at them.
Second, and ten.
All right.
Now you got to watch that clock to little misdirection play right here in days.
Inside the 30.
Eric Mitchell on the stuff days has certainly been a Workhorse here, especially in the second half.
And you know, that's luxury.
I mean obviously this is a Camden team that's had to battle through some injuries here tonight, but they've got some guys that have stepped up in their place, lost Baker.
Early, of course, Baker had been tampered with injuries to pass two playoff games, right?
So here's a third down and four block goes under 5 minutes.
Williams in motion, they'll hand it to them back into the middle.
Watch out 21 taken down by Burnett, another big game there by Williams, and that's another first down.
So, right now, it's a two-fold drive from Camden County.
Not only with it like some points, but they wouldn't mind.
Maybe run it a couple minutes off that clock of the process.
I'm just impressed with the All the running backs that the Camden County is able to shoot at you, man ago as Williams are coming.
Yep.
Get Williams numbers tonight, in Russia's 22, yards, 2 TDS, but it's been a lot of stuff inside yards there.
And it looks like Peachtree Ridge will burn their second timeout.
They've got one left both teams now with one timeout in 434 left on the Georgia Dome score clock here.
Defensively boy, the lines need to stop right here.
Try to get that football back.
And time is not on their side and there's no it's not.
It's not at all captain.
Of course, 621 defensive points, the season and we've talked about five times this year, they've been over 50 points, three straight games.
In the middle of the season, they scored over 60.
So that just goes to show you the ability of this offense when they're clicking, they've been clicking all year.
They have five semi finals again, 2003 state champs Peachtree Ridge, of course with you co-championship a 2006, trying to make it two titles and three years.
Bill Ballard just a second year twenty and six overall has done a remarkable job.
And of course, Coach Jeff here.
In nine years, as head coach at Camden 19.
Overall is a head coach.
We mentioned earlier, never a losing season as a head coach for Coach Aaron.
It certainly done a great job.
First at 10:00 after the Peachtree.
Ridge timeout, unbalanced left and there is about is driving inside there.
Check that that was Williams number eight with another carry.
Just shy of the 15 Connor.
No limit on the stop.
But again, Valdez of course, patiently following his blocking.
You know, that's something you just can't teach us a feel Talk about both of these coaches here, and, of course, leading Camden and Oconee County to his semi Ballard with Peachtree Ridge and Tucker, both his coaches, have a lot of playoff experience.
Second down and six under four minutes.
Now, Milstead up top fires intercepted at the goal line.
Watch out.
Number six, Brian Williams with the interception and boy that was the play that the Lions needed right there.
And things have certainly got a little more interesting.
DJ it's interesting and exciting.
Of course, you're getting plays made on both sides of the ball.
You'll see here that the play-action fake In fool.
Anybody more than we're looking to eat days, he was open momentarily but will you shut the door?
Nice play by defensive back their cost and at home not being cooled doing your job.
We're going to look at it right here.
Little play action right here.
Well, said over the top, but will you step in front of it?
Good, A little return as well after the 23.
So the Lions breathing new life right here trailing by just seven Lombardo's going to keep, he's got all kinds of room out across the 30.
Close to eight yards there on first down close to 400 yards on the season for Lombardo.
Stop made by Gavin Oliver.
Just a moment ago.
DJ it looked like Camden was just pretty much going to close this thing out going to go up two scores, right?
Stand up on the podium there and Hoist the trophy.
And now all of a sudden, it's the lions with the big turnover there at the goal line.
Never Say Die for the Lions.
Absolutely.
Not.
Man in Motion, that's Rubio ball loose on the ground and Camden says they have it Lombardo.
Try to get back on that football.
No indication yet.
It's no telling what's going on on the bottom at pile.
And somehow or another, I believe it wasn't a bar.
Do, who's able to come out of there with the football and boy Peachtree Ridge, Dodge touches a bullet, right here.
I really thought one of the Wildcats never got the snake bone never got the snap, but he was able to fight his way back in there.
DJ, you're an old ballplayer.
What happens under that pile up at that ball probably changed hands.
Three times.
I'ma tell you what is a lot of biting at?
Well, I am not going to say I'm not gonna walk rolling two and a half.
Third down and 3 right here, Ronnie Smith left side first down and more out to the 40 he goes.
And one of the few third down conversions all the night for Peachtree Ridge but they got one when they really needed it.
Kevin Oliver on this top.
But I'll tell you, you know, we talking about Big Ronnie Smith, you know, his you just walked off though, escorted off the field a few minutes ago, I guess you just went over to refuel exactly.
Smith and Stanley carrying the load off pensively here for the back of Stanley, with 107 yards, rushing around to against Harrison, here's Lombardo to the air off the fingertips of the intended, target, right there.
And that was a number eight, Michael pate.
Rather number nine.
Scuse me, Willie Utopia the junior had been thrown too much here tonight, your Dopey and Roby swap in and out there at receiver, a good pit.
Class 5A Championship on the line here.
As we near the two-minute Mark 2114 Camden County leads it, but Peachtree Ridge.
All the move, trying to tie it up and there's a pass completion.
Robi fights his way up, just shy of the 48 and is going to be about a yard or two shy of a first down right here.
It's certainly manageable.
Second down upcoming, when Body Rolls out here at throws a pass here in the black actually, it's when a very good path but obviously it worked kind of got away from their little bit but it is on target.
Here's third down and three just one conversion on the night.
Stanley going to be hit right at Midfield.
And from the initial spot it looks like he's going to be a little bit shy but obviously this is four down territory inside, two minutes of trailing 70 Mark wiebe is Myers on the stuff.
Well Peachtree Ridge knows what it's like to be in close.
Ballgames, they've been in so many throughout this year and throughout the last couple of years trying to feed off of the momentum of that 9:47 double-overtime win last week over Drazen and now a timeout going to be cold by Peachtree Ridge with the football game.
On the line.
You didn't mention over time, did you?
I don't want to, I don't want to jinx it just yet.
Time a picture of Chris Camden County with one left.
And now the Lions out of all together.
Chris, the final game of the weekend right here.
Live on GPB.
DJ have certainly enjoyed enjoyed working with you last year and here we are in another 5A state championship football game.
And this one is certainly lived up to all the expectations that you and I and folks all around the state I think put on it.
Absolutely.
And I'm just happy for Coach coach Ballard again.
You know, when you talk all the talk and all the hype coming into this game, you know, you would think that, you know, not what to say they were second-class it there.
Certainly were underdogs coming here, but they fighting this thing and they got a chance here, to, to make something.
Put on this drive.
Well, here's the Ballgame right here.
They've got to convert on fourth down and just a couple of feet right here.
It looks like a false start, perhaps upfront.
It looks like Cannon actually called a timeout just prior to the snap right there.
So, the Wildcats burned, their final timeout, and neither team left with any right here.
Boy this is a big play.
Biggest play of the game.
Coming up right here, fourth down and short, 94 seconds left man, see the fans of the house here tonight.
Of course the folks from Peachtree Ridge.
Making the trip over from Gwinnett County and of course, the Long Haul for the folks, from Camden County coming up from Kingsland Georgia, home of the Kings Bay, Naval submarine base gather, the southeast corner of the state, John was eluding earlier to coach here at the champions for Life program, which recognizes players for their character.
Several, the guys here Christian Milstead, the quarterback had a lie, one of those big linemen we were talking about the four-year winners of that champions for Life program of work.
There are several other youth football players received from Camden here tonight.
You've all Peachtree Ridge.
It's an excellent student athletes as well here.
And now it's Fourth and what after that?
Time out, Ronnie Smith has hit bounces off of attacker, gets the first down in this ball game is still alive.
For he was hit right at the line, but bounced off of a tackler and got the first down tell you, man.
Smith is that's a, you know, that's a, that's a big league play.
He made their take another look at it, how he hits it up in there.
Now, he was the same guy that dragged off the field just a little bit ago, but he's fine finding some energy from deep down inside.
To lay it on the line, but Bartow, look into the air, fires a pass intercepted intercepted at the 35, and that should do it.
What a play for you hate it for Peachtree, Ridge to the end, the scoring drive or List their attempt to get back in this game with a turnover.
And he said, just such a good job, all year long, protecting the ball, to manage any offense and to, to end up on this particular Drive throwing interceptions.
Hi booth number 30 in position intercepts it and the Wildcats tearing at their second state championship.
As we take another look at it here.
Lombardo throwing with a man in his face right here.
Looking towards Williford right there Booth.
Look at her.
Run somebody over That's unfortunate and now Milstead won't take a knee right here, that clock will wind down and Peachtree Ridge without any timeouts.
There's nothing they could do about it and Coach hearing and the Wildcats could feel it.
That's a champion right there.
What a job here by both teams tonight is that clock rolls under a minute?
What a week?
It's been right here.
First, want to say hi to our entire GPB crew.
Tom Barney's, duck first, and all the guys down there in the truck, all over camera folks who at times to put their life on the line, this weekend and wonderful job.
He wanted, bring you the pictures.
Wonderful job.
Bill said, we'll take a knee and that should do it.
They have to snap it one more time to put it on how quick they did it spotted here.
But that long ride down to the Kings, the North St. Mary's Georgia.
All in the same neck of the woods.
Yeah, that's a long that that wrong Rod has got to be just that much happier because they're going to take a state championship trophy back with him.
And the celebration is on as the final seconds.
Tick off this Georgia Dome clock.
It's the Camden County Wildcats, your 2008, GHSA Class, 5A state champions to classy gentleman, shaking hands at Midfield.
The first coach Ballard a former assistant under coach Aaron I thought these coaches have done, just a remarkable job with their respective programs but Camden County who trailed for a good bit of this ball game.
Is your state champs and John Nelson is standing by with the winning coach John.
Thank you.
Dave.
First questions really easy.
When how does it feel to win another State title of Camden County?
Well, they don't get old John, I promise you in it seem like it's been forever since we've done it, but first of all, I want to thank our fans, what a great turnout and I want to thank God for it.
After it's all year, want to say hello to my mom and dad who couldn't make it tonight and just thank everybody in Camden County, what a great group of kids.
Great game, my hats off to Peachtree Ridge.
They played fantastic.
And you know, it's a heck of a game.
It could have went either way.
Let's talk about that third quarter coming in.
You were down then all of a sudden momentum flipped and you also kind of fired the troops up a little bit to the side line speech.
Well, Josh Johnson's interception was a huge play and Josh has done had all year long.
He's a heck of a player and our defense bailed us out Then we turn around, let them get a big play.
play, then we got a big place, so, you know, neither team flinched, and it was a great game, talk about the fourth quarter, once again, bits and pieces.
And then you talk about the defense coming up.
Big came up big with the interception late.
Oh yeah, we coach course, all your long.
I've been on him by telling him is linebackers, didn't cover.
Well, he told me I was wrong right there and I have to agree with you.
Congratulations on your title, the championship trophy and 5/8 heading back to Kingsville.
It send it back upstairs.
Alrighty, thank you.
John, their coach here and excited.
Patience of the Camden County.
Wildcats will take a timeout.
