Thank you for joining us here tonight.
Both of these teams have had pretty impressive Seasons coming into tonight's game Grayson's record, nine and won their only loss coming to region champ, Dacula then Mill Creek.
They are on a five-game.
Winning streak one of those games.
They blank Norcross, 32 nothing and that is a feat in itself.
Both of these teams are red red hot.
There are 19 undefeated teams left in the playoffs right now.
We'll see how many at the end of the day.
Yeah, that'll be good to see and our Grace Olson.
She's been keeping track of what everybody's been saying about the playoffs online.
Now, let's go over to her now, with a look at what people are.
Talking about.
Great.
Thank you, Claire.
This has been an exciting one all week long.
These fans are ready for the playoffs.
And if you're one of those folks who decided not to venture into the cold tonight, to watch the Rams and Hawks plays, no Play, No Worries.

We're going to bring you a videos, interviews updates, score updates, everything online and on social media.
So all you need is that iPad or that iPhone to keep track of?
Thing going on.
Now.
It's the first round of the playoffs.
So scores and rankings and everything.
You need to keep up, keep up to date with those.
And that's why the GPB football app.
It's perfect.
It's extremely handy for that and keeping up with everything going on around the state.
And it's also bracket time.
We have brackets loaded at gpb.org/sports for every classification.
And if you want to find them via the GPB football app, all you do is download the app free from the App Store and go to news.
And here.
I have a Blog that will lead you straight to the Bracket you want to find, we have class 6A all the way down to single layer right here on the GPB football app.
So hey, if you want to print your own, fill it out.
See if you can determine who's going to make it to those championship games, go ahead and do so.
Now after last Friday night, there's some unfinished business, less with left with some teams around the state, some teams still needed to determine seating in their region, some needed to even decide if they were going to be in the playoffs at all.
So earlier this week Rock, Mart, Cedartown and Pepperell, they competed.
Our own version of Monday Night Football.
In the South, not much tugs at the heartstrings, like a fall Friday night or in this case.
Shall we say Monday night?
This is a first for us, and we're in unchartered Waters.
We just tried to prepare kids and make sure they're ready for any scenario.
This scenario, a regular season ending three-way tie in Region 8, AAA between Cedartown, Pepperell and rock.
Mark.
The tiebreak style is up to the region and this group chose Monday Night play in games to settle the seating for these guys.
Sure, three day span is all that separates, their regular season finales and tonight's mini-games with playoff hopes on the line.
The only difference, all they have are 25 minute halves to lay it all on the field.
You heard that one right?
A 10-minute football game, sandwiched around a two-minute halftime birth, two teams will play the loser will play the second game.
The winner will be in, and the winner of the second game.
Of course, would be in three days to prepare mental weekend.
Just a I'll less relaxing than usual.
We brought our kids in on Saturday.
We don't normally do that and we had them in on Sunday.
There's no way to prepare for it.
We met on Sunday and lined up and walk through facing two different teams.
We have people playing positions tonight.
I'll tell you, they've never played those positions before, as for style of play.
Some squads are far better suited for the rapid fire format that put pepper L on the losing end of the stick.
First, a loss to Cedartown and then a defeat by the jackets, 20 minutes of Play and the dragons 2014 season was done, very slow offense.
We were patient and sometimes you can't be real patient with a five-minute half.
We didn't make any penalties.
We didn't have any turnovers and those things are, you know, what her pepper?
Everything just gets magnified.
So it was really no room for error.
I didn't know why how it was going to work.
Like, who would play when, and who would play first.
That was crazy.
No done that before in my life.
What do you think?
You're gonna remember?
Most about this particular experience?
I guess just a game format.
It was weird.
Really?
I play football at Cedartown high school and I've never seen this scenario anywhere.
I broadcast the games and my daddy did before me.
I don't remember him ever telling me about something like this either from coaches to players cheerleaders, too.
Long time.
Broadcasters hits Monday Night Football.
Frenzy was one that will be hard to forget one of those memories you grow from but don't necessarily want to repeat.
It's a Memory.
I never want to experience again.
I don't ever want to be in this.
Your way she never again.
So like you saw Pepperell was forced to call their 2014 season.
Quit quits.
And now only four days later, Cedartown and rock.
Mart play.
Their next game, fighting for their playoff lives.
The yellow jackets face Calhoun tonight in the Bulldogs are about to get started with Adairsville.
So make sure you download that GPB football app.
So you can keep up to date with those scores as they roll in all night long, Mark, and Claire Grace.
Thanks so much, you know, Mill Creek and Grayson both of pile up the wins.
Both of pile up the points and both want to continue on the road to the Georgia, Dome, our play-by-play T of Matt Stewart, and Larry Smith will talk a little X's and O's.
Now little chalk talk a segment.
We call extra point brought to you by the Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance, guys.
All right.
Thank you, Mark Larry.
Let's take a look at the keys to this.
Ballgame.
Let's start with battle lines.
I know it sounds cliche, but in this ball game, it really does start up front on the line of scrimmage.
Yeah, these two lines, we've been really impressed with Mill.
Creek's offensive line.
Grace is Give line all those future D1 players in that the winner.
There truly is going to dominate this game.
All right, let's start with Grayson.
Keep your balance on offense.
Yeah, there's no question about it.
This time, the most balanced offense, you're going to see in terms of run and pass and what they do.
They want that kind of balance to get this a win tonight on defense.
Drop David.
Yeah, the quarterback for Mill Creek.
He's just been outstanding.
He's him out of.
They really have got to put a lot of pressure on, keep him on the run.
All night long.
Yeah, Daniel David, a true dual threat quarterback.
He can beat you with his arm, but also, So, with his legs as well for Mill Creek, run through the brick wall.
Yeah, they got a really just, they average 308 yards per game rushing every game.
So, they really have to establish that run game tonight against the grace and defense that allows just 56 yards per game on the ground and also train your eyes on defense.
Absolutely that Grace and offense.
That's kind of a split.
They run the wing, T. They run the spread they had to be able coach Jarvis.
Has trained your eyes, really watch and see what they're running.
Stay in your lanes, make the play.
That's your extra point.
Thanks so much guys.
Running is a great way to get in shape.
But what's the best way to get started?
That is the subject of tonight's signature moment.
And joining me now is Patty news.
Oh, she is the VP of sales and service at Cigna.
Thank you for being here.
Thanks for having me.
Braving the cold with us.
I am.
And so why is running one of the best exercises?
And I know it's something you just recently started.
So how can people get started?
It's one of the best exercises because anybody can do it.
Literally, you get up.
You walk around the block one day.
You Walk around the block, the second day, you go to you.
Go to bot to round 2 times.
It's so easy.
I used to love watching TV sitting on the couch eating.
I got out there and did it at 47.
That means anybody can down here and do it.
Exactly.
So should you set specific goals?
Did you set specific goals?
You know what I went?
And by myself, I just 20 minutes at a time, 20 minutes of time and it went longer and longer and longer.
And now I'm up to like, five miles an hour and that's spectacular for me.
I never thought I'd be able to do it.
That's wonderful.
I've just been running in the last couple years, right?
Yes.
I have.
Yes.
I have started.
Took it very easy.
I do it by myself.
I can do it with a friend.
I just started running outside recently.
I usually use the treadmill but I've just, you know, started hitting the pavement and it's really exciting.
I sent internal goals, set your own pace.
You don't have to run you walk.
Run walk, run jog, very easy.
No special equipment needed.
Very very affordable.
And one of the things that a lot of Want to do.
They want to get out there and just start immediately.
They want to go.
Do that.
5K know, what do you have to do to kind of ease your way in?
Now it took me probably a year to even get comfortable with a 5k.
You just walk the 5K you finish in an hour.
That's great.
You know, just don't push yourself, set your own pace.
Nobody's watching, you will be surprised of the rewards that the the weight loss, the way you feel your heart medicine.
You can come off of it's just a fabulous feeling.
Alright, thank you so much.
That's a night signature moment.
With Patti news out of Cigna.
Thanks for having and congratulations on your running.
Thank you.
All right.
Time now to check in with John Nelson, he's standing alongside the head coach of the Grayson Rams, Mickey, Conn, take it away, John.
All right, Mark.
We are here in the end zone and Mickey looks like that long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
You said, this is the longest day ever.
Usually, every Friday is, you know, just waiting to get to the game waiting to get in the game time.
So, who 7:30, finally, almost here.
So, I mean, this is not a typical two, three.
I mean this it was a coin flip and all that stuff.
What's this week of prep been like knowing that this is Not a typical 23 matchup.
Well, that's just like any way to get ready for in Gwinnett County because every week you're playing a game like this.
All right by 30 seconds left.
Let's play the match game here to beat Mill Creek on their Turf tonight.
I need to do blank.
I need to score more points than they do.
I'm trying to get hints for Mickey but staying warm, Mark, the whole time.
It has not been working.
He's not been giving me.
Any advice.
His dad actually said that there's one game that's been like This.
Before it was the first SEC Championship game in your piece of History, who made the first tackle, Mickey I did.
There you go.
I going to get going and get warm.
Thank you, Mickey Conn, head, coach of Grayson.
He's gonna go get warm something.
I'm not going to be able to do for awhile.
It send it back over to the set.
You know, I talked to Coach, Shannon Jarvis, will see that interviewed a little bit.
He's got some big heaters on the sidelines to heat up his players.
So well that turn.
Yeah, I mean, and that's such a critical thing as they're going to be moving out there.
But a lot of times, you know, your offense is not on the field, your defense is on the field.
In your offensive players, I guess.
Stay warm.
This is very, very strategic here, right in part.
This Arctic blast is going to make something happen.
Anyway, all right, we're just getting warmed up on this all.
Yeah, that's bad.
On this.
All access pass show coming up next.
Matt, Stewart drops by to talk a little recruiting and talk about some of the college prospects that will play in tonight's game.
Plus, I'm gonna have more on our stop, the drop campaign and how you can only have a couple more days to enter and you could win.

In Georgia is live every Friday on GPB during football season, and you never know who you're going to run into.
Sometimes.
It's a very famous comedian who thinks you might be a redneck.
I've interviewed Jeff Foxworthy before, but this was one of those rare times when I got to interview him as a dad and daughter was homecoming.
Queen.
I'm thrilled for her tonight.
This is her night.
I also got to tell Everyone what Jeff's middle name is, I cannot wait for this season of football.
Frightens go online and let us know some of your favorite moments.
During this performance, one student will drop out of high school be there for your big finish.

Welcome back to the GPB, all access pass pregame show, as we get ready for kickoff in this first round of the GHSA playoffs between the Grayson Rams and the Hawks of Mill Creek.
These two schools are sent some big-time players to play at the Collegiate level and there's some guys, we're going to talk about now as well.
Yep.
So we're going to come in our play-by-play guy.
Matt, Stewart for our recruitment College, Football Hall of Fame.
Recruiting Roundup.
And right off the bat.
Grayson has such an excellent defense spearheaded by Justin.
Yeah, they've allowed just eight points per game.
This season 56 yards per game on the ground.
A big reason.
Why is they're defensive end.
Justin Young committed to Georgia back in.
March.
He is a 24/7 Sports composite 3 star, defensive tackles 64 255.
Senior number 57, on your screen right now.
15 sacks.
This season leads Gwinnett County, 60 total tackles ten tackles for loss and 1 interception.
He'll be going up against a guy.
Guy who's committed to Auburn and we'll tell you more about that in just a moment.
Well, you know, the other defensive end at Grayson is pretty good as well.
Yeah.
Mikhail McDaniel, he is just a junior but he is also said that Georgia is his favorite.
He's got seven offers has not yet committed to the Bulldogs, but he is a 24/7 Sports composite three-star.
The number 20 ranked Junior defensive end in the country.
You see this interception against Collins Hill?
When we were here, actually against South Gwinnett.
When we tell Is that game back in October, 6 sacks on the season, 14, tackles for loss, 35, total tackles.
He's 64 260 jr.
He's just a baby.
You know, for the home team.
Let's talk about Caleb.
Can that big offensive tackle?
That's where your Georgia Auburn matchup comes up.
Justin Young will be going up against Caleb Kim, and he's committed to the Auburn.
Tigers been committed to Gus Malzahn steam, since April of four-star.
24/7, Sports composite number 27, right?
Offensive tackle in the nation.
He's number 52.
He's been selected to play in.
In the u.s. Army.
All-American Bowl in January, in San Antonio.
He's really good.
You'll see him line up at tight end, not to catch the ball, just to give them an extra blocker.
He'll also play on the defensive side of the ball as well.
And Jonathan Hawkins is an excellent running back for the Mill Creek.
Yeah, you just saw him there in the video.
Number 24, he's got five offers including Auburn Arkansas Penn State.
NC state has rushed for over Eleven Hundred yards this season.
He's number seven, on Mill, Creek's all-time rushing list.
Eight yards per carry 115.
A game.
In touchdowns a 24/7 Sports composite 3.
Star running back.
He's 511 200 pound senior.
He is a good one.
Nobody knows college recruiting, like, our Matt Stewart, the College Football Hall of Fame, recruiting Roundup.
Well done.
Well, whether you are cheering for the Hawks or the Rams tonight, we want to hear from you online.
So let's go over to our Grace Olson down social, media correspondent and Grace.
I know you've already gotten some pictures from fans already this week.
Yeah.
I'm actually going to show some tweets from people match.
Has talked about the recruiting scene and that Georgia versus Auburn line of scrimmage.
And he's not the only one talking about this theme.
We've Got Jake Row from 247, Sports saying, Yoo!
Jae vs. Auburn starts tonight Mill Creek, offensive line in Auburn pledge Calum.
Kim versus Grayson defensive end and UGA pledge.
Justin Young said that something a lot of people are gonna be watching for tonight.
We also have the Mill Creek players, getting some love from Burke, more assistant, principal Gibson, Lowry who says, best of luck tonight quarterback, Daniel David to running back Jonathan Hawkins into offensive.
Caleb Kim.
And then we have Mill Creek, quarterback, Daniel David.
You won't hear from him tonight.
You'll see him on the field.
But here's what he has to say, plain and simply everyone be there tonight.
We need a big crowd.
So we're looking to see how many people we can fill in those States stands, despite the cold.
And now, the GPB sports team loves knowing what high school students are involved in while they're in high school, but go build Georgia.
They're more interested in what students are doing.
Once they graduate and leave high school, and their main mission is to educate students about George.
Has trades in the whole trade industry and this week G PB and go build.
Give you a look at the manufacturing industry.
Shop class is always in session here, Kubota where these East Hall seniors are able to earn a Class Credit, as well as a paycheck.
Working in Georgia's manufacturing industry.
We have what we call the honors mentorship program where we get students out of the school building at the high school level for significant periods of time, working in Industries in our community, the program encourages Hall County students to explore different career options, after high school.
And for students interested in the trades, this provides an Easy transition into a burgeoning Workforce.
The last couple years are the first time in the history of this country.
That individuals with high tech, High skilled two-year, technical degrees are out earning their counterparts, with master's degrees in the social sciences.
So we actually have probably one of the best programs because I have offered every single young person who graduates from high school and participates in this program.
Guarantee them a full-time job when they graduate as Kubota chief administrative.
Phil Sutton has watched the company provides steady employment for many Georgia workers over the years.
One of the best things that we have is we have 26 year record of not laying off a single full-time employee.
If this is where you want to be and you can be here.
It's a good job because it's going to be there for you.
If you want to really work.
Now, that's a look into the manufacturing industry.
But Georgia has a lot of traits to offer and to find out more just go to here.
Let me show you go build georgia.com.
That's where you can find a lot more about Georgia's trades.
Claireandmark.
All right Grace.
Thanks so much.
Now the deadline for this year's stop.
The Drop.
Video contest is almost here.
Yeah, and we really need your help to help us improve.
The State's graduation rate.
We're going to tell you about all the contest rules one more time in just a few minutes, but first joining me to talk about our stop the drop.
Partnership is Louise Negron with the United Way of Greater Atlanta.
Louise.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for having us out this evening.
We greatly appreciate it.
And you are brave, with no gloves on I'm impressed.
The United Way is a huge partner with our stop, the drop initiative.
Why is it so important for your organization to help?
Improve Georgia's graduation rate?
It's important because we're a partnership with the community is very important for us to be able to just build upon what's happening in the in the future of Georgia to understand that we have a better Workforce in a better environment.
For our young people.
So they'll be able to have a contributing to the state to the different levels.
One thing I could say about the state of Georgia's at the last few years that graduation rate has increased to 71.5 and that's great overall for the metro area.
Yeah, it's great news.
Now.
We have been featuring programs that the United Way helps sponsor throughout this football season.
And the thing that struck me is every single one of those programs takes a different approach.
Why is it important to have sort of a different program for one student versus mother versus another?
What's the point?
Because the programs had to be tailor-made to the The which we're in and also to have the specific needs that certain students may have in certain communities and that's important.
That's what I think.
Something key that the United Way brings is the brand in the image to have the understanding of that Community investment in what's needed from the people to improve the graduation rates for the state of Georgia.
Sorry.
We only have a few more seconds left.
But this is the third year.
You guys have partnered with us on the stop, the drop campaign.
How do you think this campaign has helped kids across the state?
I think it's helped tremendously.
We've gotten great feedback and everybody loves the programs that we have and we look forward to partnering next year, moving forward, right Louise.
Thank you so much.
There are just two more days left to enter this year's.
Stop the drop contest Louisa and I we want to see your brilliant work.
So here's how you can enter.
The contest is only open to current, Georgia high school students.
You need to make a 30 second video, PSA about why students in your school, your community drop out and how we can all help.
Keep them in school and earning that diploma at the end of the season.
We're almost there.
We will highlight the best videos and people will vote for their favorites online.
The winners will get a chance to see Their video right here on GPB, first prize is 2500 dollars.
Second place is $500 and you can visit gpb.org for all of the written rules.
But remember the 16th is the last day.
So we need you to get that video in right now.
And this again is a great partnership between us here at GPB and the United Way of Greater, Atlanta.
And do it, Claire says she means.
It's time now to send it over to John Nelson and to Rachel Freeman of Sigma for a big presentation.
John indeed.
You are correct ladies.
If you would please, it is time.
If you would make the grand entrance right there, Rachel jet time.
Thanks John on behalf of Cigna.
I'd like to present this one thousand dollar check to Mill Creek High School.

Jon Nelson in a segment.
We call John's Georgia presented by George's EMC.
All right.
Topic number one, John, We're Going Down South Wall.
Finished in that Lounge, Tift County game, big leads mean nothing when it comes to region 16a.
We're going to spend some time and slash pine TMC to let you know what happened.
And Lowndes is not in the postseason.
Here is why they had a big lead in the concrete jungle.
They were up 21-7 at one point.
2814 Des Copeland had a big game 200 yards on the ground, but 10 carries 17 yards.
The rest of the way tires.
Chambers got over a slow.
Start.
They win 3528.
The Blue Devils do.
And the winner of Tift County as the four seed out of region.
One place Tucker tonight and the winner of that one gets the winner of this one.
That's it for topic.
One was topic to topic.
Number two is Valdosta is the last Georgia team to win the mythical National Championship house Valdosta doing now, they have also made it to the postseason.
We're going to spend some time in slash pine Mitchell and Sumter, MCS with a look at.
How Valdosta became the two seed.
Last week.
They took on Lee County.
It was a back-and-forth.
Ballgame Cole.
Massengill had a big game.
Jamal Gardner had a big game as well, but it came down to the last Drive.
It looked like 2115 Lee County.
You kind of knew something was up on Valdosta, had the ball, Valdosta goes on to win 22:21, to advance to be the to see can get that home game.
That's it.
For topic.
Number two.
What's topic number three?
Northside Warner Robins two touchdowns last four minutes and they come back to beat Houston County in a big game.
They were going to spend time in Middle, Georgia, EMC to let you see what happened here.
Houston County, great effort, Jake from we profiled him earlier this season on football Fridays.
Houston County gets out to a Big lead, but back comes Kevin Kinsler and north side by the time, it was over Tobias.
Oliver the sophomore quarterback had a great game.
Willie Jordan pacing them up and putting them down for Northside.
3433.
Your final Northside plays North Side tonight.
That's it for topic 3, I guess that means Mark we're done.
You're hitting to the sideline, Jon's Georgia brought to you by Georgia EMC.
All right.
See on the sidelines.
Gotta go.
Bye coach.
Shannon Jarvis Mill Creek.
Team is one of the hottest in the entire tournament.
This year on a five-game, winning streak.
Rickover and big wins over and present opponents.
I talked to the top Hawk just moments ago.
Just a tremendous amount of excitement, you know, for our whole Community, for our players and coaches and, you know, we got a tremendous team were playing tonight with Grayson.
And so this is a huge game and we're just excited to be able to get into play.
Also you win the winners advance.
So, you know, every every weeks the state championship does because it's that important.
And so we've had a great week with our kids and we're just excited for tonight.
Few teams, come into this tournament, any hotter than Mill Creek does you guys are on a five-game, winning streak and have beaten some very good team, you know, our kids have played very well, so I'm not going to shy away from saying that but I will tell you the same thing.
I told the kids are high hot.
We have been was based on how we played last Friday night.
We've got to continue that and that's been the biggest thing.
Our coaches.
We've been emphasizing to our players and they're, they're working hard.
They want to continue this momentum and that's something that we do have and we've got to maintain tonight.
It's a great game right here.
So we don't want to rest on what we've been playing like, how hot we are is based on how we play tonight.
There's always a special Vibe when it comes down to the second season because, you know, you win you move on you lose and you're done.
Yeah, exactly, right.
So, you know, the Biggest thing with our kids don't, we don't want them to play Ty.
We don't want to play Tim and we want him just as Loose as sacred as these nights are.
You can't try to sit there and and play with pressure.
We want them to play Just As lose just as fast as they have the last five weeks.
We've practiced that way.
So hopefully tonight, I think we'll see it again.
Good luck.
Good luck.
My coach.
Thank you.
Mark.
Coach Jarvis knows they're all tough to win in the playoffs.
But if you win five, your state champs.
Yeah.
Well, we are just a few minutes away from kickoff, but the online world is heating up.
Yeah, like I'm trying to heat up my hands.
Let's go over to Grace Olson with a look at what people are talking about Grace.
Yeah, being the social media correspondent Claire.
I always like to go on Twitter and find out what the players are saying with the schools are saying and I like to relay that to you.
So here's a tweet we have from offensive lineman linebacker Mohammad.
Barry who says on Twitter, watch highlights before going to sleep, make plays on my mind.
I asked him about it and he said, every Thursday night.
He watches Eric Reid Calvin, Prior, and Alec Ogletree from the NFL their highlights before he goes.
Goes to bed.
It's looking like it's working out for him so far.
And then we have Grayson's Andrew Hayes, who tweeted?
Good luck to all teams and Region 8 Tonight, Show and love to his region.
So we'll see how they're doing.
Also, keep up with the GPB football, app to see how all the teams in Region, 8 are doing now.
We have a question for you tonight.
A trivia question.
We want to know since Mill Creek started their program in 2004, which NFL player or they've had one NFL player.
I'm sorry that's graduated so far and we want to know which That is and which roster he's currently on.
Now.
The best part is that we have two tickets to the College Football Hall of Fame.
So whichever lucky his story and we have couch getting at home.
Tonight can answer that question quickly on Twitter or on Facebook, find you would be Sports.
You will win these two tickets to the College Football Hall of Fame and will be mailing those to you soon.
So get on Twitter going on Facebook.
Answer the question claireandmark.
All right, so much grace.
Well, that time is finally, here.
It is.
Playoff time here on GPB playoff time active or Christopher Walken.
Might say we meet more cowbell think about that but it's the Grayson Rams versus the Hawks of Mill Creek.
It's all coming up.
Football Fridays in Georgia.
It's time to kick it off.
Now, live on GPB.
I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell.
Now the time has come.
It's a long season of digging in began under harsh summer Skies, good job, careful cultivation of talent and the nurturing of teamwork follow throughout the fall.
Good weather, bad weather, that can't matter when you're growing winners.
In the end.
The only things that count are skill Synergy and the drive to survive.
And now we're at a critical juncture.
It's time to look to the Harvest.
Here comes the reaper 192.
Started this journey.
When we get to the state championships, only 14 will still be alive.
It's survival of the fittest time.
Join us to see who goes home and who goes on.
As we head toward the finals, at the Georgia, Dome more cowbell.
It's time for another round of the playoffs on football Fridays in Georgia tonight.
The Grayson Rams Take On The Mill Creek, Hawks.
Why?
GPB?
Welcome to Mill Creek Community Stadium with a March to the Georgia Dome begins tonight.
In Hoschton.
It's the first round of the Georgia, High School Association, 6A playoffs as tonight.
The Region 8, co-champion, Grayson Rams, ranked third in the state.
Take on the 7th, ranked in region 7, co-champion Mill Creek.
Hawks.
First ever meeting between these two Gwinnett County Schools.
Here's a look at their side of the bracket winner of tonight's ball game will advance to take on the winner of the Tift County Tucker game.
That'll be in the second round.
The loser will pack up their equipment until 2015.
And good evening.
I'm Matt Stewart joined by Larry Smith and Larry, certainly out of the close to 100 first round, matchups across this entire State.
We've certainly got the best matchup tonight.
A Grayson team won, the 2011 State title missed out on the playoffs last year, their back.
They won nine games this year Mill Creek, back in the playoffs, after missing out last year as well.
They were quarter-finalists in 2012.
Not to make the playoffs in 2013.
And when you think about it again, to region Champs meaning in round one, it's one of only two matchups, like it in the entire State.
Even the coaches, we talked before the game.
They were saying, man.
I've got butterflies in.
Both them saying just how excited they were is a real challenge for the opening round game.
The other matchup of region, Champs is Altoona and Carver.
Now, I know it sounds cliche, but this ball game will be one along the line of scrimmage.
We've got a terrific.
Big matchup, let's start with Grayson defensively.
Upfront on their defensive line, Georgia, Bulldogs commit, Justin Young and his Junior.
Teammate, Mikhail McDaniel, who may eventually follow him to Athens to play for the Bulldogs as well.
Yeah.
He says right now, he's their favorite.
Among the several offers that he already has.
He's only a junior, but when you watch these guys, boy, they are big, they are fast.
We saw them in a game earlier this year on GPB just throws him offensive lineman around.
I mean, when we're talking about these guys really bring everything, you'd want to the next level, they do that and they are a real Load to contend with, and they have some great linebackers behind it.
We'll talk about them during the game as well.
Absolutely.
A just only eight points allowed per game and only 56 yards, rushing per game, and they'll be going up against an offense for Mill Creek that averages 308 yards on the ground.
Led by some college sized offensive.
Lineman Caleb Kim at left tackle.
He's a four-star to number 27.
Ranked offensive, tackle to the country committed to the Auburn Tigers and his partner up front the center.
Josh Fannin who's committed the Middle, Tennessee.
Yeah.
These also again, That's one thing, the coaches talked about they said, hey, you know what, Mill Creek of the one offensive line that actually could has the size and the skill to contend with the defensive line.
Like Grayson, you're right.
It is a cliche.
But in this case, it's right, whichever line dominates.
The other that team has the chance to get this victory tonight with these two massive offensive and defensive lines.
This is a ball game that will not be for the faint of heart of front.
Now, the third member of our team is John Nelson, he's going to explain why Grayson with nine wins ranked.
In the state and region co -champion is playing on the road tonight.
And it all has to do with restaurants.
When was the last time, a restaurant actually played a part in deciding who is going to play where take you back to last week and right in the middle of the board.
It showed that it was a decision that was to be made at a Waffle House.
At 11:30 at night.
You had the three coaches from Archer Dacula and Grayson supposedly going there, but guess what?
Because the location leaked out.
So much for the Waffle House.
So Waffle House.
Nice idea, so much for the Waffle House.
They go to an IHOP.
You have three coaches in the back parking lot, flipping a coin odd, man out its number one.
Odd man out was Archer at 7 and 3 and because de que Le Beak Grayson in the regular season that meant Dacula was to Grayson was three.
That's how you have an atypical matchup for a 2 and a 3 and Matt.
And Larry, as we light, this candle from down here on the sidelines, which I hope tonight is a blowtorch.
Odds are Mickey Conn, did not hang out for the rooty tooty fresh and fruity.
Lost the toss to show up here.
Tonight.
We'll send it back.
Upstairs will have election coverage all night long.
Thanks for watching on GPB gpb.org on the GPB Sports app.
Catch up with you in a sec.
All right, thank you.
John and John as he mentioned, we'll be keeping us up-to-date on all the scores.
The close to 100 first round games going on across the state of Georgia.
Now Mill Creek comes into, tonight's ballgame playing with a heavy heart tragedy within the Mill, Creek, Family of the last couple of weeks.
Number 57.
Quick guard.
Chad Walker.
Lost his father and It was a tragic incident where his brother David 19, year, old brother, David charged with the stabbing death of his father.
They held a memorial service for Chad, Walker's Father.
David on Monday night has been a very tough situation.
The community here at Mill Creek, has rallied around Chad Walker the coaches, gave him the opportunity to play last week in the season finale against Peachtree Ridge.
If he wanted to and he ended up, grating out 98% on the offensive line.
He had three pancake blocks.
He was a highest rated offensive line.
For the ball game and was named the offensive player of the week.
But certainly our prayers, go out to the Walker family in this very difficult time in their life.
And there's head, coach, Shannon Jarvis, who has been in the midst of all that.
Now in his 11th year as the Mill Creek, Hawks head coach.
The only head coach, the school has ever had a record of 60 and 57 and he has the Hawks in the playoffs for the fourth time.
This is just the second ever home, playoff game that they have had here at Mill Creek High School, they are four and three all time in the playoffs.
And of course Mickey Conn.
He knows all about the playoffs.
He is the only head coach, the Grayson Rams of ever had.
He is in his 15th season with a record of 123 and 46 the 2011, state champions when they ran the table with 15 and 0, they win the region code Championship this year, the sixth region championship and also they've been in the state, semifinals couple of times the state quarterfinals a couple of times and they are Bouncing back from last season's loss and did not make the playoffs at 4 and 6.
So we're ready to go here at Mill Creek, Community Stadium Mill Creek in the maroon, jerseys and gold, trousers.
And milk crate will go and kick off against Grayson in their white and green.
This is your gobuildgeorgia .com kickoff.
Learn a skill, build a career, do it.
Now a gobuildgeorgia.com, a say, we'll take the ball at the One yard line and Cedric a say on the return will be dropped at the 19-yard line.
And that's where the Grayson Rams will go on offense for the first time tonight.
They are led by their quarterback.
The 63 190 pound sophomore, Chase Bryce, who has completed the Gwinnett County leading, 63 percent of his passes for 1656 yards, 18 touchdowns.
Just five interceptions, averaging 160.
5.6 through the air per game.
First pass is completed, Stenson, Stenson picks up seven on the play.
Butler with the tackle as we take a look at your Region's Bank.
Starting lineup for the Rams.
Upfront will tailor, not starting tonight out with a bulging disc in his back.
57, Justin Young starting in his place.
Martin Inman, shaddix, and Jackson join him on the offensive line in the backfield is Brent with the wide receivers worn, a say schuessler and Stinson who just made the first catch of the game, Brent gets the first Carry of the game.
Brent will pick up a first down as he gets his body across the 30 yard line.
As we take a look at the Region's Bank, starting lineup for Mill Creek on defense, more Starling Lund and Burnin Up Front.
The linebackers otiwu, boils and Anderson and in the secondary Butler Hall Turner and Sebastian in the safeties Hall and Turner credited by head coach Shannon Jarvis with the big reason this Mill Creek defense has turned around.
Around in the second half of this season.
So they will measure right here on the Run by Brent, and he has picked up a first down by the slimmest nose of the football.
So, two plays and a first down for Grayson.
So ball at the 30 yard line.
Grayson nine and one with seven and one in region, 86 a region co-champs, Dacula and Archer.
And that's Warren on the carry.
The Sean Warren picks up another first down as he gets it to the 44-yard line close to a 13 14-yard pickup for DeSean worn on just his 14th.
Carry of the Season.
Yeah.
We'll watch right here.
Chris Martin were 55 is the guy you want to watch watch him.
He's gonna pull this way and go out and watch the block.
He lays right out here.
Right there.
Number 87, also is right there, Ryan career.
Big game right there first down.
So First and Ten handoff goes to Brent and Brent does not make it back to the line of scrimmage.
Brent 510 190 pound Junior rush for 1109 yards during the regular season 5.6 average 12 touchdowns.
Just under 111 yards per game.
Top, running back back there.
Really gives this team.
A lot of balance we talked about in the pregame all excess pregame show here on GPB.
So second down Bryce, fakes, the handoff fires across the middle and just misses a say who would have gone for six?
Had he been able to haul it in but you can already see that the balance between these two, we talked about early on, in terms of the, the run and the pass.
It's an excellent mix of this and Bryce are like his confidence.
Yeah.
We saw him earlier in the season.
He's really grown.
Since then into you can tell he's at, he has another half season of experience under his belt.
Didn't connect on that one.
I like the play calling.
I like, what he's doing.
So, third down and 10.
And we had movement up front and it looks like it might be encroachment on Mill Creek.
So the five-yard Markoff against the Hawks will now make it third down and 5 for Grayson.
It's a tough break for Mill Creek.
Right there to go from third and ten to Third and five.
It's a big difference.
With this offense, Grayson averaged 165 rushing per game and 165 and a half passing per game.
That's amazing, pass complete.
And a first down to Evan Sturgill, just his fifth reception of the season, and deeper into Mill Creek.
Well, he's only a sophomore, but again, the play fake right there, phrases and linebackers, and watch a nice Shake of attack.
Oh, right here for the young man.
You can see why he's getting some playing time.
But this Rams offense.
It's a big gain right there racing on the Move, first down inside, the 30 yard, line of Mill Creek.
Ball at the 25.
Grayson has moved it from their 20 here on their opening.
Possession.
Lauren in motion.
Takes the handoff on the Jet Sweep and will not be able to turn the corner.
Nice, open field, Tackle by could Johnny Sebastian the cornerback.
Yeah.
That was a nice job right there.
Good pursued.
Warren again.
He's got the blockers in front of him.
Watch it right here.
Stays with it.
Stays with it.
Nice job right there and good teammate.
Sebastian is the tackle.
That was a great team effort by the Hogs really stretch that play out.
Force him outside.
Allow the quicker Sebastian to come in in between the tacklers and make an end of lockers and make the play.
Second down and nine.
This is Grayson's first game since Halloween night.
They had a bye week in the final week of the regular season.
Bryce will run and will not go anywhere and get stopped in his tracks at the 25 yard line by big.
Semaj Starling the 6-foot 335 pounds, senior defensive tackle, where he is a big boy, isn't he watching me here?
Just fight off the blocks, right inside, right there, good penetration forces, Bryce to come out of the pocket star.
Sir, wait, form great play right there by that Frontline of Mill Creek.
We've talked about how big and athletic, they are, and they've shoulder right there.
It's tackle for loss for Starling the season.
And that's one of the things that Shannon Jarvis told us this week, that he felt like the hidden story in this game is nobody's talking about his defense passes thrown incomplete intended for a say and now it's going to be fourth down and decision time for Grayson on a 4th down and 10.
Once a good sequence of plays right there.
You know, you had the third and ten near Midfield, you have the penalty that gave him five yards and give it the big play on the screenplay.
One more look right here.
Look at the hands, just an active defense.
Now, let's say could have had that but at the same time, their hands there and the way, trying to tip the ball, knock things away, anything they can do, great team effort here on defense in this opening drive for Mill Creek.
Austin voice on for a 42 -yard.
Kick.
Kick is on its way.
Looks like it's got the leg and it is good.
A 42-yard drill by Austin Hoyt right down the middle and Grayson on their opening possession drives.
Down the field and gets on the board.
First, 3-nothing Grayson as we have started the march to the Georgia Dome.
Grayson trying to get back for the first time since 2000.
Football Fridays in Georgia.

One a 42-yard field goal by Austin Hoyt.
The Grayson Rams have taken a 3.
Nothing lead on the Mill Creek, Hawks.
And once again a nice defensive stand, as you were mentioning Larry by this Mill Creek defense.
Their first team defense has surrendered just one touchdown in the last.
Five games and that was after the offense and fumbled the ball at the 40 yard line.
Yeah, that's impressive.
When we were talking to coach Jarvis this week and talked about and that just shows.
Again.
That's where as a team.
When you reach the playoffs in this level of the season.
That's what you want.
Your team, your players playing as a unit playing their best football right now.
No Creek has to be very happy with that stand right there to force, Grayson to only a field goal.
Almost got him stopped at Midfield, but they'll take the three.
Danny conlon to kick off for Grayson Hull and Curry standing deep.
Deep for Mill Creek and hole will take it at the 10-yard line.
Joe whole continues to move the pile.
He went an additional nine yards after contact, was made nice return by Joe, whole and Mill.
Creek, will start on offense at their own 37 yard line and here is their quarterback.
Number two, Daniel David 61 180 pound senior.
He is committed to appstate, 24/7 Sports composite number 37, right dual-threat quarterback in the country.
He's passed for 9:45 and he's rushed for 799.
As we talked to the pregame big dual-threat, quarterback High snap, David running for his life.
He'll take a loss on the very first play loss of five on the play.
And not the way you want to start, Matt.
As we take a look at the Region's Bank starting lineup for the Hawks up front.
There's Kim the commit to Auburn Franklin fannin's, committed to Middle Tennessee, Walker and Clem upfront, Clemens, huge 65, 315 whole F and Ronnie Hawkins in the backfield along with bullet tight, end and Curry the wide receiver.
Throw a screen pass to Hawkins and it's incomplete.
Here's a look at the Region's Bank starting lineup.
For Grayson on defense, young Martin and McDaniel upfront.
Barry Pennell, right?
And Peter's.
Tell her Hayes Jenkins, and Abba soy in the secondary pass thrown incomplete.
Hold the intended target and now it's going to be fourth down.
All right?
Now, uh, you know, just as we said Mill, Creek's defense and nice job.
How about Grayson's defense?
Right there?
And they the big pit speed and power up front.
Those are three plays right there.
Mill Creek did just did not seem to be in st. And about the punter in fourth down.
So, three and out for Mill Creek.
This is a high-powered Mill Creek offense that has scored 41 plus points.
In six games this season there, 41.6 points per game.
Average third.
Best in Gwinnett County Jake Richards on to punt for the Hawks standing at his 16, heavy Rush Line Drive kick returnable.
And Jordan Hayes, Returns the ball across the 50 yard line, a line drive kick.
That was nicely returnable for Jordan Hayes, the Duke commit and great field position, 24 yard return, great field position here for Grayson on their second possession.
Think we have a flag on the play here though, but boy, I tell you what, we talked with us Grace and team and so many weapons Hage mentioned the commit already to Duke.
And we have a holding call.
Here against the Grayson Rams.
I guess the white team continued I'm going to start that way.
So instead of having the bald near Midfield Grayson will start their second possession at the 30-yard line.
So a spot of the foul penalty in essence.
It becomes a 20-plus yard penalty against the Grayson Rams.
That stuff negate to really nice return for grace.
And First and Ten for the Rams from the 30-yard line.
They went in place 48 yards on their first drive, to get three points.
Bryce throws complete.
Close to nine on the play on the completion to Austin, Nash his 16th catch of the season.
You have you haven't seen Grace and before you're going to hear about 10 different names called on offense here in the stowed position at, and you, and I've done their games before Maestro, right here.
Very simple.
Great job out there by schuessler, for the block, former quarterback, does a lot for this team.
Schuessler was the starting quarterback.
Last year, suffered a concussion that opened the door for Bryce to take over as the starting quarterback for grace and as a freshman and he's held the job.
Since they moved schuessler to wide receiver, that's Brent on the carry, Brent, picks up the first down.
That'll be the third first down for gration.
Good, look there at Shuster and Matt to your point.
Again.
We've noticed that you'll watch him out there.
Number seven.
We saw him.
Watch him there in the flat.
He also knows all the calls and he connects with Bryce.
If he sees something on defense, they'll look at each other and make things happen on their own.
Pardon me.
That's first down.
Number four for the reins.
Look like we had some movement early for Grayson five-yard penalty coming up and they were quite indistinctly.
Yeah.
He What?
Schuessler, number seven and you know you were used to seeing the quarterback set up and the coaches watch.
We have false start.
Feelings.
He first started to be first and 15 now for Grayson, but you'll watch and see the quarterback.
Look over Will Schuester.
Also the former quarterback and receiver.
He looks over as well.
So you have two guys like two quarterbacks won't looking over at the same time to see what the call is and they really work really well together.
It's been fun to see them develop as it passed.
Catch combination for.
Bracing course Hunters brother.
Nick was the starting quarterback here at Grace when they won the State title.
He is now a quarterback on the Clemson Tigers roster.
So first and 15, now, ball at the 40.
Bryce pump fate going for a say and say can't catch up with it.
Look like there might have been some contact over there.
But again to Johnny Sebastian was running step for step with him.
You saw after their first possession when he came running off the field Mickey Conn was irate but Cedric is say and he pointed at a and you saw him flashed the to sign, he had two drops on that last drive.
And they're told they're going back to him again, trying to get him involved.
And I think it's saying just again talking to the sidelines right now.
You see coaches right there next to him.
Say what's go?
The other side of the field.
They're not happy with the way.
He has started the Ballgame, but he is their top receiver.
40 catches on the season already.
At Stellar on the jet Suite, Taylor a former running back that starts at cornerback.
They slip them in there on offense, every once in a while.
Tiller on the carry right there.
Just his 20th.
Carry of the Season at the replay on this watch again, the rad7 Ryan career and watch him out here again.
That's him right there.
Beat number 35 up, just fight them these receivers, do a great job on these.
The different, the sweet plays on the screen plays of getting out there and and blocking, you know, that's a hard.
Thing to teach receivers to do to block when the ball is not in your hands.
They loosened this year and every Friday night, a lot of receivers who really do a nice job with that.
We've got some here with Grayson as well, third down and 12 ball at the 44 and they have may have gone from a hardcore Wing T offense to a spread / wing -t, but the jet Suite remains a staple in there officer.
Tunnel screen not going to pick up the first down.
They went back to Austin.
Nash otiwu making the tackle for Mill Creek and Grayson's going to have to give the ball up.
Nice open field tackle right there.
No brakes defense hanging in there.
So, Austin, the googan on to punt for Grayson Riley, stands deep for Mill Creek.
They got close to it that time, Riley.
Nice catch on the run, and a nice return.
That was rather Dangerous by Miles Riley.
They're caught it with his fingertips, on the run, but advances the ball about 10 yards extra because he was able to do that and Mill Creek will take over around the 35 yard line as we check in with Jon Nelson down on the sideline.
All right, let's start with election coverage.
Winner of this one gets the winner of Tucker and tips County right now.
It is tied 7-7 tip County had the early lead Rigby and band hookup for a long touchdown pass to tie it halfway through the first quarter.
You see the other half of the bracket up there.
He's Kuwaiti mceachin Cherokee an Operetta, they are scoreless more in a bit.
Appreciate John sink.
Your stint in ball is at the 35 yard line.
Hawks were three and out on their first possession.
You see the minus five yards on The Tackle by Denzel, right?
Daniel David.
He's not going anywhere.
That's true.
First appearance by number 57, Justin Young who's headed to the University of Georgia?
Yeah, young as their discount, the white shirt.
Right here.
And the thing is, this is what's going to be tough here for Mill Creek.
And and that offensive line right now for plays on offense Mill Creek, right now.
They're all their own for.
They've got to find a way to contain this front seven of Grayson stopping.
Daniel.
David number one on the P chart for Grayson tonight.
David may have fumbled that ball into the plague.
Grayson says they have we have not yet gotten any indication from the officials that we have an exchange of possessions.
He appears like Mill Creek was able to hold on to it.
But bottling up, Daniel.
David is assignment number one for this Grayson team.
And now it's going to be third down and long for the Hawks so far.
They've done that.
Big number 71 McDaniel in the first one.
There didn't get the tackle, but slow them up.
And again, those linebackers coming in to finish him off.
Haven't really gotten the ball to Jonathan Hawkins yet.
They throw it complete the curry.
And that's a first down Horse.
Pass her.
David.
And the catch by Curry is his 21st, and it's good to me.
The sticks.
I think that's what the Hawks have to do, man.
They've got to find a way again, to get it down.
Field Force, things of not just run into the teeth of that defense.
But if they're going to just come up the middle, it's all right.
By him and Shannon Jarvis told us they had to run the ball to win tonight, but they were probably gonna have to throw the ball in order to run the ball tonight as well.
Pass incomplete the hull.
Here's a good look at.
Daniel David right there.
13 rushing, touchdowns, eight and a half yards per carry just under 80 yards per game on the ground.
And just over 94 yards per game in the are averaging 174 yards of total offense per game.
Hawkins in motion, they run a sweep to it, finally, get the ball to Hawkins and they do get positive results as he gets the ball down to the 41 yard line.
That's a great play right there.
Great blocking.
As you can see on the left side and from the great that opening.
Hawkins is a really good -looking running back.
As 511 200 pounds.
He's fast 19 touchdowns on the season, eleven hundred and fifty yards offers from Auburn Arkansas, NC State and Penn State gets the rock.
Again, gets a first down, you can see right, Cy right there.
He's got all those schools interested, and should there be many more before he finally decides where he's going to go great vision, very shifting, Runner good speed.
Going to look at this.
Once the blocking up front.
You'll Mill Creek.
I talked to Shannon Jarvis before the game.
He said, you know what the toughest part for us is that you'll 5:30 to 6:30 right before the game and finally settling down.
Now there's Hawkins again Hawkins using his arms and legs to batter his way through that gration, defensive front.
Remember, this is a Grayson defense that is surrendering just 56 yards per game on the ground 135 of the are less than 200 guards.
Per game totally three opponents.
All Season, had more than 200 yards of total offense against them in their 10 games.
And a timeout has been called by gration for the first time in a while.
The Grayson Rams being pushed backwards on defense.
Yeah, we don't see that very often with, with this grace and defense, but I really like what no Creek is doing right now, they found something there in the middle, getting the ball into Hawkins hands again, making him a lot of do some great things.
And once you start to do that opens other things up and all this started with that.
Downfield for the first down once they got away from the stuff here and there that the tide the side go vertical, go vertical with it.
Since they've done that, it's been nothing but positive yards for that's a great Point.
Shannon Jarvis told us we got to run the ball, got a pass, the ball to run the ball and after they get their first completion, downfield it opens up for it, right?
Exactly.
But I was going to say a moment ago and the play happened so quickly that you know, and all coaches say this the hardest thing you bring the team out to kind of walk around the field, you get your a couple of early warm-ups and Then there's that time between 5:30 and 6:30.
You're still an hour from kickoff, but they're boy.
They're just they're just they're just you know, it's just killed him at that point and just the waiting and I think finally right now I think Mill Creek began to get settled into it what they want to do and they've got some positive things happening.
Let's check in with Grace Olson down on the sunlight.
Alright, we mentioned offensive lineman for the Rams Peyton shaddix earlier.
Peyton has started nearly all season long, but not tonight.
He was actually in a car accident.
Last night was injured, but nothing severe.
He had six Just putting his forehead.
I just talked to him.
He said he thinks he'll be all right, and is hoping if they win tonight to get back out on the field.
Monday, back to you guys in the booth.
Thank you Grace.
There's paint and shaddix right there in the Letterman jacket and the hoodie can see the scuff mark, right under his right eye.
And certainly we are happy.
That his injuries were no more serious than they turned out to be, but they really miss him on that offensive line.
He's the little guy on the offensive line at 5:11 185.
He's the guy that pulls and hits the corner.
Are very important in the Jet Sweep Hawkins on the carry and Hawkins, close to a first down, as his body falls down to the 21.
One more thing on Peyton's shaddix to, I know that we were talking to coach Mickey Conn before and he said he's the littlest guy there.
But thinks he's the biggest guy here.
He thinks he's 62, 250.
So they come up short.
It's going to be fourth down and one here, and they're going to go for it.
Larry.
And why not?
It's early.
Randy Watkins is our referee and we have illegal procedure.
Wow, so that changes it right here, instead of a fourth and one, you now have a fourth and six, they have converted, just one field goal the entire season and that by Brenton King was 144 Bryson King.
His brother is over three, so they're going to go for it right here.
The kicking game in particular, the field goal kicking game is a big concern for them tonight against this Grayson team.
If it's a close game, fourth down David scrambling.
Under pressure and young has the quarterback sack his 16th QB sack of the season, the most in Gwinnett County and the ball goes over on downs.
And now Tough.
Just the David right there, needed them release the ball, and get rid of it.
He saw the guy there in the flat head of receiver open didn't get it to him and credit young not just for hitting him and wrapping them up but bringing them down as well because boy, David and so athletic was trying his best to get out of that.
Couldn't big play here by the grace in defense, but you almost in the first coil.
That is the 38th sack of the season for the Grayson Rams defense.
And Young's got 16 of them.
They come up the big play on fourth down and how much did that penalty?
James that whole place in Aereo instead of a fourth and one.
It's now a fourth and six, you gotta pass it rather than running.
Yeah, one more look scenes.
Got the receiver out there in the flat doesn't think he has enough, but he's not use near the first down marker but not quite there.
The size of reverse fail, but the problem is, you know, this race and front seven again is so athletic.
Strong big.
That was it.
That's just a A lot of time to ask a very good Mill Creek, offensive line, to hold them at Bay and young got through.
So, First and Ten on what will likely be the final play of the first quarter as Grayson takes over at their 38-yard line.
Brent on the carry runs right into the teeth of that Mill, Creek defense.
That's been just as Stout and the first quarter Mill Creek comes away with the ball, but after the whistle had been blown, Justin Young with a big quarterback sack to, in that first quarter.
We played 12 minutes March to the dolman the Rams on top three.
Nothing.

Welcome back to Hoschton Georgia.
The Rams on the board first and the only ones on the board still leading three to nothing.
Heading into the second quarter against Mill Creek.
Now Mickey Conover Grayson has had the opportunity to develop some incredible Talent while he's been there since 2000 and we want to know from you.
Tonight is Trivia question.
We want to know which former Grayson star, recorded 18 sacks and ran for 17 touchdowns while leading, the Rams to the 2011 State title.
It's your turn to answer, your turn, to show us what, you know, find you could be Sports on Twitter, find us on Facebook.
Let us know who that star player was and we will give you two tickets to the Georgia College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
So I make sure to answer the question on Twitter and Facebook.
And while returning the fourth quarter with our trivia winner, Matt.
And Larry Thank you.
Grace.
Matt Stewart.
Larry Smith with you upstairs.
John Nelson.
Also down on the sideline, updating you on the scores.
We start the second quarter with Chase, Bryce completing the past a hunter, schuessler for a first down.
So, that's Bryce.
He's fifth completion out of eight attempts for 44 yards and one more look right here, again.
Just great Hyatt.
I communication between these two.
I mean, they, it's amazing to see how they've developed this year.
The former quarterback Bryce.
Now, The Man Behind Center Again, so many weapons in this Grace, an offense.
That's a first down.
Yeah, because they are both quarterbacks.
They'll make that eye contact.
And Mickey Conn says, it's kind of like backyard football.
They'll just kind of exchange glances and know with chica each other is going to do is Grant runs for the first down.
Well, that's just it that's an angry run right there, but see to the passing opens that up.
Watching me here.
Brent.
You mentioned over 1,000 yards?
1,100 yards, rushing here in the season.
That's a great hole right there along the side, great blocking.
Ronnie.
I left side there to the sideline.
I almost a first down second and short.
Five carries 24 yards for Brent so far.
Don't try to arm, tackle him, a Grace and defensive lineman, tried to do that the first day of camp and got his arms broken.
When they were running the Oklahoma drill another strong run by friend who's not overly big at 510 190, but very powerful and just a junior consecutive 1,000 yards.
Rushing Seasons already in his School career.
Yeah, he's really look at that right there.
No armed attack.
Yeah, you can't do that.
Tyler avoyelles.
Number 20, the linebacker.
He didn't get the memo.
You cannot arm tackle cameryn.
Brent is not going to happen.
And boils is Mill.
Creek's leading tackler to a 6 foot, 200 pound senior linebacker who's committed to Furman?
First and Ten for Grayson ball at the 35.
Brent this time.
No Running Room and a good job by otiwu to get him on the ground for tackles.
Now for Sidney otiwu, a good -looking Junior linebacker, who entered the Ballgame with 75 tackles on the season and a team-leading eight tackles for loss.
And that's number nine right there.
He's a nice player for this Mill Creek defense.
I like the way he shed the blocker right there grabbed ahold of Brent's Jersey and held on for dear life.
Brought him down.
Second down and 14.
Now.
Bryce going for the Home Run nearly intercepted and it was by Chase Turner, a spectacular one-handed interception by Chase Turner inside the 10-yard line somewhere.
Look at this right here.
What a great play by the defense and Turner Brian's going deep right here.
Just completely overthrew his intended target of what a great grab right there.
The interception in this brings up.
The other point.
Matt, we talked about early on turnovers are big and Grayson's.
Laws, they had a ton of turnovers.
I believe seven and all that's not a good way to start here.
If you will in the first half for Grayson, so Mill Creek, back on offense and the keeper by David and he gets swarmed under inside the 5-yard line and a flag out as well.
Justin Young was the first guy to blow up the play.
I think the ball was supposed to be handed off to Harkins and young might have grabbed Hawkins face masks.
That's why the handoff never occurred.
Mill, Creek's offensive line, we talked about again, the great job.
They've done, here's the call.
So that's a first down right there.
It's even try to see where it happens.
Let's see if we can find it right here or right there.
You can see he grabs, David's, face mask.
He kind of reaches behind him, realizes that that he did Duvall wasn't right there, Hawkins it.
Now the ball reach behind him and grabbed the quarterback, David's face mask, and there's a penalty.
So after the five-yard Markoff for the inadvertent to say, yes, we have offside against the defense.
Five-yard penalty first down.
So now it's going to be first down and roughly four with the ball at the 15-yard line back-to-back.
Penalties on this Grayson defense Hawkins.
It is hard to run against this Grayson defense, especially when they know it's coming Denzel, right?
Leading the charge, right?
Right.
Wearing 66 tonight rather than 44 and number nine, Daniel Pennell, one of the top inside, linebackers in the country as well, making that tackle.
Yeah, just a great play right here.
We've talked about again.
We get caught up into that front line of Justin Young and Kel McDaniel be looking for now and ride and Muhammad bury someone.
We haven't called yet.
So many weapons in that defense and here's Hawkins again.
Hawkins will carry for the first down.
Hey, what these Mill Creek, guys, when they get a scrum like that.
They don't go down and saw that on the kickoff, the guy with the whole pile, went nine yards, and there again was Hawkins.
Well, the great leg strength.
He just won't go down Mill Creek, offense averaging three hundred and eight yards per game on the ground, 409 yards of total offense.
Hawkins, a big reason why he and Daniel David a big reason why that running game has been so spectacular.
Mel Jenkins, the strong safety is down on the ground for grace and this is bad news.
Jenkins, has battled a back injury for most of the season.
Now, it looks like they are looking at his right leg.
Looks like he's going to be able to walk this off himself and hopefully he's going to be okay, but Jenkins is a guy that really benefited from the fact that they had that by week at the end of the regular season after playing 10 straight weeks of the regular season, their bye week, came after their regular season finale, a 38, 23, victory over Brookwood.
So, that allowed them the great luxury of getting some players healed up in time for the start of the playoffs.
All except for will tailor their sophomore tackle, who Not able to go and will not be able to go more than likely even if this team makes a Deep Run in the state playoffs.
Yeah.
Hopefully he'll avoid surgery and look forward to 2015.
He such a great young talent for the Rams, effing Yani now, in there at running back and they'll fake, the handoff to him.
David going up top into double coverage and its broken up.
Have a Sola Abba soy broke it up the cornerback, David Curry, the intended target.
Nice play there by the grace and defensive backfield because it's going to come right at you into your living room.
Watch this great camera.
Work right here, looking for curry, but I like count all the white shirts around them.
A double coverage help their apis away the corner.
Jordan Hayes.
The safety came over, the top to help out.
Now.
It's second down and effing Jonnie gets the carry Avignon.
He's been a nice story for Mill, Creek this season, 691 yards, rushing coming into tonight's ballgame, a converted linebacker.
Really stepped in and helped them out at running back.
When Hawkins suffered a shoulder injury back in September.
You're wondering about Hawkins.
It doesn't appear.
And he's out for me, Health reason.
He's just standing on the sidelines next to the coaches.
So third down and six ball at the 29.
Nearly picked Ernest, tiller closing fast on the wide, receiver nearly picked that pass and now it's going to be fourth down.
Now, what's good thing?
Those two, I'm happy to see both of those guys get up.
That was a pretty serious Collision over there between the two of them, the bang-bang play one more.
Look at it.
We've seen some Target that passes off Target here early on that one sails.
The Coachman a nice catch you.
Then on the deflection, Riley was the intended target tiller with the breakup and now Mill Creek punt.
Again, this is Jake Richards on to punt for the second time as last kick, a line drive.
Kick, was returned.
Nicely by Hayes.
This is another line drive kick, but Hayes have a retreat to the 28th to get it.
Another big returned by.
Hey, Hayes might take it back.
And Hayes into the end zone for the touchdown, a 72 yard punt, return touchdown return by Jordan Hayes.
What a big play.
We saw him earlier on the first Ponte return to 220 yards.
It was Ric came back though, because of a penalty.
But go ahead, tell you what, this is a great.
This is a great effort here in the tcsg.
Touchdown replay.
Watch Hayes right here.
Again.
He's committed to play at Duke next year in college watching here.
Count the dark shirts around him.
He sees a scene.
Cuts back through and look at that.
He's only got two guys in front of him.
Really the one guy to beat right there.
He gives Chase.
Great blocking downfield.
Jordan Hayes?
The punt return for the touchdown Grayson's first touchdown of the game.
And that was the second time that Jake Richards.
The punter had kicked it Line Drive, which allows the returner to return that thing and you saw it, Hayes was able to do you got to put you got to put some air under that football.
P80 by height is good and Grayson on Top 10 to nothing.
So special teams strikes for Grayson.
Jordan.
Hayes takes it back 72 yards and the Rams on top 10.
Nothing.
The twice before Crossing you exercise, you choose the salad occasionally, but when it comes to staying well, physically financially emotionally going, it alone is hard to Signal.
Has your back and your knees, 24/7, and sickness and in health, answering your questions, giving you some coaching, helping you get well and stay.
Well, that's having a partner as with you all the way signal.
Jordan Hayes with the second touchdown of his senior season, a spectacular 72 yard punt, return.
Touchdown to give Grayson a 10, nothing lead.
And once again Mill, Creek's defense has lit yet to allow a touchdown but they're down to nothing.
Yeah, we were talking here in the break that, you know, again, the defense has done a nice job of the special teams right here and to your point.
This is why again, you know, for those who, you know, don't follow football very closely watching more casually.
Is why you want the pain to go up in the air as Matt was mentioning before the break.
You want to give your your defense your players a chance to come down and set the to get themselves in position to defend against that return with the line drive right there with the player with the kind of speed and skill that Jordan Hayes has, you're just flirting with danger and the Rams make him pay and now the 10, nothing lead.
And what you've stopped an offense.
The grazing offense hasn't done very much.
But again because the special teams play you're down to nothing and give a gold star to number 15 Ernest till Jerome that play, he threw the final block that freed up Hayes to go.
The final 20 yards for the score and stayed with it and avoided any kind of penalty.
Not the thing to.
You don't want to hold you want to grab or anything but a stay in front and and just force them again.
Get your guy free and he did that nice team effort, you know, hangs will go into, you know, go in the books as the touchdown but it's the team and the blocking that really gets credit for that.
So now this Mill Creek team that's won five games in a row and outscored their opponents 233 228 during that five game winning.
Break finds himself down 10 nothing in this first round, playoff game, short kick fair, catch called for and made at the 22-yard line.
And that's where the Mill Creek.
Hawks will go back on offense, here in the second quarter and down a couple of scores.
Don't just watch the game engage with GPB Sports on social media, whether you're on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
We want you to be a part of the GPB Sports family.
There's so much to see, so be sure to find be Sports on Facebook and Instagram and at GPB Sports on Twitter.
Hawkins back in there, at running back for Mill Creek.
He trips after getting the handoff from Daniel David Mill.
Creek.
The number two seed coming out of region 7, even though they were the region co -champions, because they lost the head to head to North Gwinnett.
But while North Gwinnett lost in Norcross Mill Creek, beat Norcross, 32 nothing.
That's the reason why they're the co-champions in the region.
Shannon Jarvis said he didn't even No until the region secretary called them on Tuesday to congratulate them on their region championship.
David throws it up for curry, double coverage and incomplete again.
Hayes and tell her back on the coverage and that has been consistent.
Grayson has been able to get double coverage on the Deep ball all night.
So far, one more.
Look at this.
You will see this.
And look, he makes the move and then there's carrier right there.
And it's right there in his grill.
Trolls, that's a great throw, though.
All things considered.
Could make it happen.
So David's now 147 passive, see Ryan carrier, the junior going to the sideline third down now, heavy Rush ball is out.
Did David get back on top of that?
I think he got it back.
Let's see if I can rustle.
The way though.
They're still fighting a little bit under there.
Pull his helmet.
And David might be heard at the bottom of that pie.
You'll see he's crumpled over and now rolling over on his back.
Now, there's two hands inside the helmet there, and he might got poked in the eye.
Again, this just this Relentless Rush right here.
Nowhere to go.
Great strip right there.
McDaniel's strip the ball out.
Now.
He's got the ball watch right here.
Looks like that's was at McDaniel reaching in grabbing a face mask.
Yeah, they're all inside up in his face mask that hold on to the ball, but that's not a pleasant thing.
Well, the good news is hopefully he's not hurt.
It's 4th Down.
They're coming off the field.
Anyway, they can act upon it.
So that's going to give Daniel David some time to recover if he's not hurt badly, which certainly, we hope that is not the case.
It's been sacked twice already in this ball game.
He's sitting up.
That's a good sign, but So we hope there's nothing serious.
He's really developed this.
Season's you mentioned already signed go to Appalachian State next year already committed.
I should saying, won't sign the February, but Cal McDaniel number 71 on the sidelines, one more look at it right here.
Watch 71, McDaniel strip the ball right here.
Bam, caught him on the arm, knocked it out.
And Daniel was very fortunate to get back on top of that thing and you see the ball pop out right there.
And then he falls on top of it.
McDaniel's also.
Sorry Matt.
Go ahead, a McDaniels big dude right there.
He's the kid that says that George physics paper.
'It course.
He's still just a junior got a long way to go in the recruiting process and now Daniel David is up on his feet and walking off the field will effort to see exactly what his condition is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, you can see he's not happy as he spikes his helmet when he gets off the field.
Yeah, you got poked in the eye.
I'm pretty sure that's what happened.
Yeah.
So they're going to work on his, I believe, it's his left eye.
And while they do that.
Let's check in with Jon Nelson.
Alright, as you fill out your bracket.
So let's go six a lower right-hand quadrant.
And right there, you see Hughes on top.
They were 14.
Nothing on North Cobb.
North Cobb had a pick six, grass courts.
Now 14-7 the second Milton leading Northview 7.
Nothing in the second.
No score Peachtree Ridge in Dacula Colquitt County, by the way.
Puts up 35 points against Rockdale County at the bottom of the bracket.
After one quarter.
It's 42 nothing in the second.
So Colquitt is rolling a couple of other surprises right now just off the top East, Coweta beating McEachern at McEachern right now, three, nothing Norcross, an Archer.
They are scoreless in the second back upstairs.
So John what you're telling me is that Colquitt county is going to send Rockdale County Paki.
Look at you busting out the puns in the second quarter for those who don't know, the Colquitt County.
A Packers.
That's their nicknames 733 left in the first half and he breaks out his first punt, nicely played.
So like that.
Well, we got some time because we're waiting for the line up and punch here.
But you're you're in semifinal for baby.
I mean, you know, I agree.
That was that was a Georgia, Dome pain.
All right, Fork down Mill Creek to punt from their own 31 Richards.
On again.
They surrendered a 72 yard punt return.
The last time again.
This is a line drive kick.
More are under this time and he's has to call a fair catch at the 26 yard line, a little bump at the end and the Grayson fans wanted a flag, but no flag coming.
Looking at the Mill Creek sidelined, by the way, they are still working on David, keep an eye on that because that one more replay, right here, fair catch little bump.
Zach Turner number 30 with the bump there for Mill Creek.
Just to let him know that he was there in some places.
They just call that a love tap.
You know, I think that's just football folks.
You can see he's his left eye is really bothering him as he's over there with the training staff right now.
So they've been watching that thing out with saline.
So hopefully he's going to be okay.
Grayson now on offense with seven minutes to play here in the half.
They started their own 26.
And nothing doing for Brent, that time, big ol, semaj starlene.
Making the tackle.
There's David Curry.
The wide receivers already got one catch in this ballgame.
He's also the backup quarterback.
So Curry would move from wide receiver and quarterback in.
Daniel Davis unable to get back out there.
2nd down and 10.
Tell her run the sweet.
Nice open field Tackle by Sebastian.
That's probably for a loss.
Great pursued right there.
We've talked about that.
Again.
This Mill Creek defense, It's just tough that they're down to nothing right now because this defense has done a great job of pursuing of staying with it coach Jarvis talked about, we talked to him this week about again, locking in your eyes and seeing what they're running.
Is it a wing?
T. Is it a spread doing a great job of again, staying with their assignments and forcing the big play?
Nice tackle right there by Sebastian appears that tiller was shaken up.
As he made his way to the sideline and doubled over when he got there first tackle for loss for Sebastian.
In the season out of his 47.
Total tackles two of them tonight.
Third down and long now, Grayson 143 on third down heavy rush and a quarterback.
Sack back at the 10-yard line ball is ruled down.
Tire boils with his six sack of the Season, great job.
Right here.
He going to watch right in here.
This is the player going to player coming through number 20 right there.
Tyler Voyles.
I don't know that he was down now.
He put the ball on the ground but his knees not on the ground when he loses control.
Watch this again.
Ball is out there and he's nice.
He's not on the ground yet.
That should have been a fumble more than likely but we don't have instant replay, of course, in high school football.
Magoo good hunting from his end zone line.
Drive kick hits and fielded at the 49 yard line.
And then he fumbles the ball.
Yeah, the punter is down.
There's a flag right now.
I mean, he really went into him.
McGowan is down.
It's going to be a roughing the punter at minimum one more.
Look at it can see right here.
Zach turner.
Oh my goodness.
That's how a punter gets injured seriously, and we hopefully that is not the case from a googan, but he took a wicked shot on his left leg.
He's in a lot of pain.
I'm standing training staff working on him, the senior parents, talk to him, their parents here before the earlier this season, right?
Family.
So number 30, Zach.
Turner was the one that ran into him.
Totally not intentional.
He's going for the block right there and then his body momentum just carries him right into the left leg of the googan.
I believe it's his ankle.
Good thing is, he's up and walking off a little limp.
Could have been much worse.
Hopefully again, he'll come back in this game and be okay.
So, the personal foul called against Mill, Creek, is going to give the ball.
Okay, and it's going to be Grayson's ball the 50-yard line because in the midst of all that there was the fumble by Riley that they say that Grayson covered at the 50-yard line.
So mi Riley who fielded the punt never did come up with it and Grayson got on top of it at 50 yard line.
That's why they are declining the roughing, the putter penalty.
So Grayson takes over 250.
So the turnover battle right now is even one it.
Peace.
So First and Ten, five minutes to play here in the second quarter Rams, take over at Midfield.
I don't know for the life of me.
Why Riley tried to pick up that punt return but you know, heat of battle, you do things, you know, you're not supposed to Brent, trying to turn the edge, Brandt close to a first down, run for cameryn Brent.
I'll take a look again, and just want to show you this again and watch.
All this over here and count the number of white shirts.
Again.
There's carrier number 87.
They do such a great.
Job on the outside of blocking and allowing us the back or the the receivers on the sweep to really clear that side over there and done that.
A number of times.
You do it very, very well in this Grayson offense.
Nine carries 35 yards for Brent so far, play blown dead on second down and 2.
Timeout was cold by Mill Creek before they could snap the ball before.
Grayson could snap it.
So the Rams at nine and one out to a 10, nothing lead on Mill Creek, got a 42-yard field goal from Austin Hoyt.
Cap their opening 48 yard drive and then a 72 yard punt return by Jordan Hayes for a touchdown early.
In the second quarter for their 10.
Nothing lead.
As we take a look at the Grayson Rams, resume entering, tonight's ballgame the region, 86a co-champs 6, the region title all time for the Rams since they started.
This program in 2000.
This is their 10th all-time playoff a period appearance.
They were the 2011 state, champs State semi-finalists in 2008 and 2010 and stay quarterfinalist in 2007.
And in 2009 its bench at the top mat coach con the only coach Grayson's ever had a lot of respect for him and even coach Jarvis said hey, we try to build what they're doing over there to power teams here in Gwinnett County coach Shannon Jarvis and Mickey Conn were together on T McFerrin staff.
Back in the early portion of this Century at South Gwinnett back in the 2000s.
Nice job there by the Mill, Creek, defense of bottling of the runner there and we've talked before it's tough to.
When you see this really, this should be a 33 game and just doesn't feel like it's a two nothing game.
Because this defense for Mill Creek has played very well tonight.
But in case you're just joining us.
The loan score was on the punt.
Return touchdown by Jordan Hayes, third down and three coming up.
Ball at the 43-yard line.
Third down in three ball at the 43.
And now a timeout has been called by the Grayson Rams.
Let's check in with Grace Olson.
We've talked about Coach Jarvis and Coach cons history, those two coaches and Coach John small of South Gwinnett.
The head coach over there.
Those three guys.
They all began their coaching careers together at South Gwinnett.
Coach Jarvis told us that they were all in their early 20s, they weren't married yet.
They didn't have families yet.
So they add a lot of extra time and after practice.
He said every day they'd play.
A nice game of basketball and he said it sure did get competitive out there on the basketball court.
So it's neat to see they're all still involved in the in the Gwinnett County system.
And I'd say they pretty, they've done a pretty decent job, guys.
Absolutely great story there.
Grace course, Mickey here at Grayson and Shannon at Mill Creek, and Josh love lady.
Who's the offensive coordinator offensive line, coach for Mill Creek.
He was also on that staff there with t McFerrin The head coach at South Gwinnett.
So for really big-time coaches here in Gwinnett County, having branched out from that team atmosphere and coaching Tree South Gwinnett.
So now, third down, and three following the timeout and the play gets blown dead.
Again.
Let's go back down to Grace Olson with an injury update.
All right, on Mill.
Creek Quarter.
Buttermilk Creek quarterback, Daniel David.
We saw what happened to him on the field, he was Off to the sidelines.
He sat down in a lot of saline solution was poured in his eyes and then I saw them wiring something together on his helmet.
What they did is they added a visor a little plastic screen, you know, to the front of his helmet.
So that his eyes don't aren't in danger of getting poked anymore.
Like they were before his eyes are pretty red.
But it looks like he's good to go for now.
Thank you Grace.
Yeah, you can tell him thank you that left.
Eye is really puffy and read where you got poked in the eye.
So now it's third down following the penalty on gration, third down and eight.
Been a while since wheel creaks been out there on offense after the fumble by the Hawks on the punt, return.
Out of the hands of said that's actually Austin Nash.
That time would have been a first down, catch for Nasheed, gotten beyond the sticks and now it's Fourth Down.
So it looks like the fumbled punt by Riley on the previous spot by Grayson is not going to hurt the Hawks here.
And Lagoon is coming in to punt for grace.
And that's a great sign.
Number 61.
We saw him go down tough, hit last time out, but he's right back at it and now, Chase Turner will replace miles Riley.
At Punk, return for Mill Creek.
And Daniel, David has his helmet on for Mill Creek.
Come back in at quarterback.
That's another great son.
Hi, punt by macdougan, it short, but high and non-returnable.
So Mill Creek will go back on offense.
Around the 19 yard line.
Stop, the drop is an initiative.
Dedicated preventing High School dropouts.

Your is today.
No David will go back out.
Their quarterback will see if he has any lasting ill effects after being poked in the eye and a timeout called by Mill Creek before they can even snap the ball.
Let's take a look at the Mill Creek, Hawks resume 345 to play here in the half.
Region, 768, co-champions first-ever region title for Mill Creek.
Since they started this program in 2004, five-game winning streak to close the regular season.
By a combined 233 228.
There are three losses came to top 10 teams, North Gwinnett, Colquitt County and acute.
The Dacula combined 27, and 30 on the season.
This is their fourth all -time.
State playoff appearance and they were in the state quarterfinals in 2010 and in 2012.
Coach Jarvis talking about.
Take a look at him right there.
That Hawks sideline.
He has to be patient as well because this Grayson front seven is just so talented, only attend nothing game right now.
They'll try to get it all back at once.
Logan's on the carry.
And Hawkins.
Picks up about four on the play.
Ryan carrier, making the tackle for Grayson and Hawkins comes up, limping, and one more.
Look at it here coming, right at you Hawkins.
It's a good-looking Prospect money, his ankle kind of got caught up and laid there in that tackle.
Nothing.
Yachty in there and he gets stopped in his tracks by Denzel.
Right?
The Grayson Rams leading tackler.
Fourth tackle of the ball game for Denzel, right?
And his third tackle for loss.
Yeah, watch him right here Denzel, right, you know watch right here in the middle.
Take a look at this as we roll it.
There.
He is.
Big number 66, you know, you avoid McDaniel, you avoid young?
It's the way that this way it works.
You go up against this grace and defense not a blocking.
No one put a helmet on.
That's a first down, catch right there, for whole as he gets the ball to the 32 yard line, Joe hole with his Catch of the Season.
His first tonight.
Hurry up offense for Mill, Creek.
I'd like to see them, make a move right here.
One more.
Look at this replay very quickly.
Make a move, get some yardage when we get a chance to put some points on the board before halftime First, and Ten from the 31.
Effing Jonnie on the carry.
He picks up about four yards on the play up to the 35.
That's what I mean is stuff.
While you make some nice moves, you get past the first wave and then you run into big number 71 back there that just hurts.
Hawkins over on the sidelines.
Trying to walk off that injured ankle second down throw complete to Curry at the 39.
Curry picks up for on the cat.
You saw Curry warming up.
He's the backup quarterback with David able to get back out there.
He's back out there.
Wide receiver second catch of the night for curry.
So third down and 2 ball at the 39 under two minutes.
To play one timeout, remaining for Mill Creek.
FN.
Yanni runs right into McDaniel and does not get the first down.
Effing Yani meet the immovable object called mikkel McDaniel.
He's just too big.
Looks like they're gonna go for it.
Wow.
This is really dangerous right here, because if you don't get it, you surrender the ball in your territory to Grayson.
They might just be trying to pull them off sighs timeout call.
That's the final timeout used by Mill Creek here in the half.
So I believe after calling that time out.
They'll bring the punting unit on.
Let's check in with Jon Nelson down on the side.
All right guys, time to go low left in your brackets as you're filling them out in 6A.
Roswell leading Lambert right now.
Second quarter by the score of 97 Hillgrove, having a bit of a battle right now, with Douglas County.
It's thirteen six at the break, Lee County still leading Lovejoy.
Remember?
Preston Williams injured for Lovejoy, the knee injury that he had in the game against Tucker that you saw here on football Fridays at still acting up.
So right now, Lee County leading Lovejoy 10, nothing.
And in the bottom part of the bracket Archer after a bit of a slow start.
Now leading Norcross.
That one's 6:39.
That one's at the break, other returns, bouncing around Colquitt.
Now, leading, Rockdale County, 45, six Peachtree, Ridge leading Dacula by the score of 1410.
That one is also at the break.
Tucker, leading Tift County 21.
17.
That one is also at the half will have more scores at the half and in the post game show and all in the second half and John, you mentioned Dacula and Dacula.
The one common opponent that Grayson and Mill Creek had in this season in the third week of the season.
The que Le Beak Mill Creek 2821 in the ninth week of the Season.
Dacula.
Beat Grayson 27:17.
The one thing in common for both Mill Creek and Grayson in that ballgame, a ton of turnovers.
The cost of the victory there.
So as I expected, Richard's out there to punt.
Now for Mill Creek, after they call that timeout rugby style kick.
This one, Hayes calls fair catch gets on his knees, to make it at the 27 and a half yard line.
And that's where Grayson will go on offense.
Likely for the final time of this half was sixty eight seconds to play in the second quarter and one timeout remaining.
Great job of this grace and defense to hold and Mill Creek team as you mentioned scoring more than 40 points several times this season scoreless here in the first half, Grayson average is 29 and a half points per game and 330 yards of total offense, but we have not had an offensive touchdown in this ball game through the first 23 minutes and eight seconds.
Or make that 22 minutes and 52 seconds.
As I do some quick math, Brent on the carry and he's going to be caught behind the line of scrimmage.
No place to go for cameryn Brent.
Great job there again.
We call it before the Mill Creek defense stretching it out.
This coach Jarvis said, see the play this hybrid offense formerly a wing-t bit more of a spread.
But as you said that Jet Sweep still exists, it's very very dangerous.
They run it very well.
Looks like Grace is going to be content to take this.
Lead to the locker room and you know, we talked a lot about the Grayson defense and how they're allowing just 56 yards.
Rushing yards per game will during their five-game winning streak.
This Mill Creek, defense has been allowing just 20.6 rushing yards per game.
Very impressive.
So no surprise that neither team has really been able to get untracked in their running game tonight.
Again.
That's Brent on the carry and not much doing right there.
Peyton Moore the defensive end, number 29, making the tackle right there.
That was probably the final play of the first half and notice there are two hands and try to arm tackle.
Him good coaching and the players.
Listen to good coaching.
Bring them down to hands.
We've completed.
Four minutes, Grayson Rams back in the playoffs for the first time since they were eliminated in the second round in 2012.
They head to the locker room with a 10, nothing.
Leejohn.
Nelson's down there with Mickey cock.
All right, man.
Thank you very much here with a coach.
You knew what you were getting into it.
This one.
This one's pretty much a Haymaker all the way through.
Yeah.
It's a, it's a heavyweight fight, really?
Glad the way are proud of the way, our kids played the first half.
We got a great first drive.
We got a field goal out of it and then and then got a punt return.
So special.
Teams has been big for us.
I was going to say, it's always going to be something different.
It's not necessarily offense or defense in tonight's special teams hitting for your earlier.
When you're playing a heavyweight heavyweight game like this and Big Time team like there.
They are, you know, you got to make plays wherever you can make plays.
We made a lot of mistakes, you know, we should, we got to clean some things up.
But once we do that, hopefully will be will be.
Okay.
Thanks Mickey Senate over the set halftime show starts right now.
John.
Thanks so much coming out of halftime break here and our GPB halftime show.

Right.
Now, the Rams leaving the Hawks them to nothing at the break.

They are trying to keep the fans heads in the game.

The Grayson High School principal John.
Yes, it is that time for John to be in the principal's office place.
He spent a lot of time in his high school year.
So it is time to play.
Are You Smarter?
But first what's going on the Grayson these days.

Are You Smarter?
I have the question here in my hand.
The question for you.
Who is this week?
The European Space Agency made history by Landing the first spacecraft on what celestial object was at a the sun.
That's pretty dangerous.
Be the moon.
See a comet or D, the Death Star, which was mr.
I think, D, the Death Star.
Well, hey, that's the first offical Scientologist, or it's good stuff.
All right.
Thanks for hanging out with us.
Thanks for playing.
All right.
Thank you so much.
Great sport.
Let's hit it.
Back over to.

Ha ha ha if it lands on the Death Star, that's a movie Bruce Willis's in that movie and Clint Eastwood, maybe a bunch of guys and Darth Vader and Darth Vader.
I can't do the Star Wars music and you did it.
So, but it's good.
I like it.
Well, it's time.
Now to take a look at some scores from all around the state, big playoff weekend here, the first round of the playoffs, and we have some exciting games that people are going to hear about Mark.
Absolutely, got 160 games going on right now and let's check out the Georgia.
EMC scoreboard.
I'd look at top-ranked, undefeated Colquitt County.
They lead Rockdale County, forty eight to nothing in the second quarter.
Valdosta leads Newton by a touchdown early on it is Peachtree, Ridge leading, Dacula 2:50 that game in the second quarter.
It is North Gwinnett, leading Central Gwinnett 9.
Nothing in the first League County over Lovejoy, 17 to sipping.
The second Milton two touchdowns better than Northview right now early on Tucker leads Tift County by a touchdown at the half.
It is where County leading Stars, Milton three at the half.
Tune over Carver.

Let's listen into their performance brought to you by Regions Bank.
You've been enjoying a performance from the very talented Mill, Creek, High School, Marching Band brought to you by Regions Bank, and now, it is time to put another principle to the test.
With another round of are You Smarter?
Our John Nelson is standing by with the principal from Mill Creek, Jason Lane.
It's almost like I never left the principal's office time to catch up with first name.
Mr. Last name.
Lane.
What's going on in Mill Creek these days?
Well, we just got back from Carrollton.
We can wear our cross country teams that really well in state finals, cheerleading's that state tomorrow, and our dance programs have to wonder performance this weekend as well.
So busy weekend's at Mill Creek, no doubt about it, time to play the game, the card, please.
Thank you very much.
Lisa, Clark.
I have here the question which I have not seen an answer.
I probably don't know.
Here.
It is.
A new fundraising company or an in fundraising campaign by what internet company promises to match donations made in the fight against Ebola.
Is it a Altavista be Wikileaks?
See eHarmony?
It's a challenge or D. The Google.
I'm going to have to say Altavista altitude.
It's D the Google to.
I think it's two dollars for everyone.
But thanks for playing along Q.
Thank you very much.
That's another round of.
Are You Smarter?
I'm racing over there.
I'll see you in a sec Claire.
Okay.
Thanks so much.
John.
Well, this weekend, 160 teams are starting the road to the Georgia Dome and it doesn't end here.
Of course.
We are going to continue to bring you the action.
The way to the state championships in December, here's a look at the rest of the season schedule, brought to you by Georgia EMC.
Next week.
It is the second round of the playoffs.
Of course.
We don't know who's going to make it to the second round yet.
So we are going to pick that game.
We will go through all the matchups overnight.
We're going to put our selection for next week's game up on our website, gpb .org/lawmakers to do that tomorrow.
So you're going to want to check that out.

And we're over fourteen thousand likes on Facebook, just today.
So that's good.
And you know, our boss in the truck right now, by brianza would like us to get to 20,000.
Do it that dream come true?
20,000 keep liking his folks and I like this guy, John Nelson and he's back with another edition of back, roads and back fields, brought to you by the Georgia cotton commission, the Natural Choice for Georgia.
All right.
This is a great story.
John has this week.
He has a team that mounted first region Championship since Harry Truman was in the White House.
1949 and I'm just going to put this as simply as I can.
Thomas.
Wolfe never met leash y'all.
It was time time to go back home to Childhood to a young man's dreams of glory and fame where the X Raven County quarterback has turned around the Wildcats in a very short time and picking up their first solo region title.
Since 1949 for Lee Shaw.
That means everything to be back.
It's been special playing on this field growing up.
Dreaming to be in the head football coach here and then having success and flipping the program and building it back.
It's been really special been fun.
Shawn went back home to his place in the country where you live in tiger, and we're Wildcat read one of his biggest impact players.
Dad's actually wore Bulldog red and has felt the change football.
I'm kind of, I mean, I've seen it gone from 0 and 10, you know, to now back up until now can I have like five, you know, watching and now, you know, we're eating too, or no starts at 7:00.
And And it's changed so much and people are more into the ball.
Now than ever.
The last time Rabun County 18 games are more before Shaw's return was 1998 before then nine years previous and the mentality toward success has changed just all around coaching and he's like, you said, mindset leadership.
Just kind of people having to buy into the idea that, you know, we can win.
We've had great student sections to cheer us on all the teachers are always helping us out saying, good job ever.
Ever after every Friday night.
It's just a big difference from what it used to be, and it's for stepping into the same river twice, Leo set foot in Wildcat Creek for his County.
Anytime, as I told the players, you know, I'm going to love you and I can't love you as a team until I love you as an individual and that comes from Love and Raven County and it's just been a really neat experience.
So far has been three years into this.
We flipped it really fast.
As I said, we had some good pieces of the puzzle in place, but for me, Coming back home as men, everything.
The work that work job.
Good job.
And they are winning in their home game tonight in the playoffs.
First round.
Tiger.
Georgia is Wildcat Country.
No doubt, and it's really cool to see what Lisa is doing up there.
Raven County.
All right, back, roads and back fields, brought to you by the Georgia cotton commission.
Natural Choice for Georgia.
All are now it's time to check in with Grace Olson with something we call rent check.
That's right.
Thank you Claire.
This is where we check in with the parents of one of the athletes on the field tonight.
Right now.
I've got Shantae and Gerard, Butler senior, the parents of Mill Creek, quarterback draw.
Butler jr. And we've also got two special guests who jumped in with us here.
Can you give me the your daughters names?
Your name?
What's your name?
Taryn, Angel?
All right.
Well, these lovely ladies decided to join us and let's throw up a couple of photos of Gerard jr.
When he was a junior.
What do you remember most about him from that time?
I just remember, you always had a ball in his hand, you know, ever since he was, you know, one or two years old, just always had a ball in his hand and in love football, basketball, anything with a ball natural-born athlete.
IC.
O---- right now, since you answer that, I'm going to go to trivia first with Mom, Mom.
What is Gerard juniors?
Mill Creek football memory.
His favorite Millcreek football.
Oh, I know.
It has to be just recently when they beat Norcross for the very first time in the school's history.
You got the whole story down.
That's exactly right.
He is favorite memory so far and I can completely see why and Dad second.
And last question is going to be for you.
Which NFL cornerback.
Does he most try to model his game?
After Brent Grimes?
Yeah.
He's a huge fan, Brent, Brent played for the Falcons and now he's what?
The Miami Dolphins.
So he likes to go to a ball and go up and go high and get the ball and just hide.
Your are placed very aggressive able to elaborate on both questions.
You guys know your son very well.
Now, before we wrap up, let's bring in the t-shirts of football Fridays in Georgia t-shirts.

First half, you ready for the second half?
I am and it's been a very interesting.
They have not let the cold get to them too much.
I don't think we'll see if they're able to keep that up in the second half.
All right, let's send it back up to Matt and Larry will call the second half for us, guys.
Take it away.
Cold.
What cold is nice and toasty up here in the Press Box, you know, we talked about this game being.
Line of scrimmage really special teams.
It's been the difference so far less.
Yeah, it really has mean that neither offense has really done much.
You've got the field goal, the punt return and that's the difference as we thought it would be a very closely contested game.
Both can say they have some victories but at the same time, it's Mill Creek.
This got to get some something done here in the second half.
All right, we'll take a look at the first half highlights and get the second half started when we get back.
It's the march to the Georgia Dome starting tonight here in Houston.
We are halfway through this one gration, on top of Mill Creek.

Welcome back.
Markham field getting ready for the second 24 minutes Mill, Creek, down 10.
Nothing in here with the coach.
And obviously, you weren't too happy about that first, half on your perspective.
No, not at all.
We've got to play better and I'm from ball-handling to execution all the way around the, you know, everything.
So, we've got to play better.
This never got too good of a team right here, and we played much better.
We're going.
We got to play better in the second half.
So we've challenged them and I know they're going to rise to the challenge.
We go, play better.
This have thanks man.
Thank you.
I'll send it upstairs for halftime, highlights stats, and I think the official term is It's tough right now.
The official term is stuff Larry some emotion.
And Shannon Jarvis has voice as John Nelson talking to him as we get ready to start the second half.
Let's look back at those first half highlights.
The only real offense came in the opening possession by grace and they go 48 yards and get the field goal.
Yeah, right down for the field goal.
They're often Point 42 yards out for that, the three nothing lead.
And then, as you mentioned, nothing going up for either offense, Jordan, Hayes, you're in the punt.
Return.
You mentioned a line drive Hunt.
That's why you don't do it.
He just takes it himself as a good blocking downfield, all the way back.
For the score and the 10.
Nothing lead.
One.
The interception for the Mill Creek defense a fumble return for the graysons.
Otherwise, it's wrong.
It's relieving.
Yeah, look at the stats as we anticipated.
Not much offense doing here with the Stout defense is only 85 yards of total offense for Grayson 41 on the ground, 55 yards, total offense for Mill Creek and only 29 on the ground.
Remember they averaged 308 on the ground.
So they're way off their number.
Yeah.
That's I think that's Out of where we here at the emotion and Shannon's voice just then because again, this is a team as you mentioned, 308 yards, a game on the ground more than forty point seven times this year.
They've been just playing outstanding five-game, winning streak.
Nothing has gone, right?
And this first half here of this Mill Creek often.
So you see, they're only 55 yards, total offense in the first half.
When our this ballgame will advance to the second round to play the winner of Tift County and Tucker at the half.
Tucker was up a touchdown on Tift County.
Mill Creek wins.
Well, if Tucker wins, either one of these team on the road, if Tift County wins than both of these teams, whoever wins.
This would be at home in time.
Now, for your gobuildgeorgia .com, third quarter kickoff learned a skill, build a career, do it now, at gobuildgeorgia.com Grayson in the white Mill Creek in the maroon and gold.
As we start this second half.
One team has their season end at the end of these two quarters.
And again, the ball is fumbled on The Return by Mill Creek, and I believe the Hawks were able to finally get on top of that.
They've had trouble in the return game surrendering a punt return fumbling a punt return.
Fumbling that kick off right there.
Fortunately.
They were able to get on top of it right there.
Looks like Aaron Anderson recovered that kick.
Yeah.
Once again, this is a, this is just a tough way to start of your milk Reinke come out right away.
You've Had all your pep talk in there.
Michael Bowl.
Now the fullback and linebacker can't come up with that.
Good thing is they recovered it.
So, let's see if they can get some offense started here.
Only 29 yards on the ground, in the first half.
They go to F and Yony right there, McDaniel, making the tackle tackle number three for mikkel McDaniel.
Be interesting to see.
I wonder if Hawkins is hurt.
Remember, he limped off the field in that second quarter effing.
Yani is the number two running back.
Yeah.
Nice move right here.
Hold onto the ball.
That's most important thing.
But I'm with you, I'm surprised that he's not in there.
We have an injured Grace and RAM on the field as we come out of this replay right here.
You know, that's the thing to we've had some small injuries here.
Mel Jenkins down again.
He limped off there in the first half of the injury and now he's down again and Mel Jenkins, despite the fact that he's been hurt twice in this ballgame, their leading tackler, in the first half Jenkins, had six tackles for the Rams.
In the first two quarters.
You'll come off the field for a second time.
Both times.
It's been his leg F and Ian.
Stays in the Ballgame will effort to see if we can get an update on Hawkins and see if he's injured.
Yeah, I see him standing right there in the sidelines.
He's right there in the mix.
He's just not in the game.
So second down and seven coming up ball at the 33 pass is thrown complete.
The whole whole unable to get a blockhead Riley out there blocking for him.
But there were two Rams out there on defense Cornelius, making the tackle Jordan Cornelius, the sophomore cornerback number 34, and now it's going to be third down and about three from the 36, Matt.
That play is there for them.
They don't look for a very often try to a couple times early in the first half.
Didn't go.
Back to it.
Had success there, Daniel David in trouble and scrambling.
Buys himself some time and throws incomplete.
Effing Yani was at the sticks, but they have harassed, Daniel, David all night.
And now it's fourth down and three, they have not given him any opportunity to run.
In fact, he's got five carries - 15 yards that factors in the sacks as well.
That was one of the keys we had in our extra point session.
During the all access show early on that.
You got to keep him, put him down and keep him under control.
And this Rams defense has certainly done that Jake, Richard stands at the 32 yard line to kick in the 22 yard line.
Pardon me to kick for Mill Creek and Hayes who have the 72 yard return.
The only touchdown in this game deep for the Rams short kit off the side of his foot.
And that ball is going to be spotted out of bounds.
We'll see where they end up spotting that thing.
It went out of bounds in the air and they have yet to spot it.
They're going to spot it.
On the other side of the 50.
They're going to spot it at the 48 yard line for the Rams.
First possession will come in Mill Creek.
Territories will check in quickly with John Nelson down on the sideline.
All right, guys, 6A upper right-hand bracket.
The biggest update is in that top scorer.
He's Cowley to had the three, nothing lead right now, fourth quarter, McEachern.
Now leading by the score of 14 to 3, and we heard Tucker.
Seen a tip down underneath that bracket other scores Hughes 28, North Cobb 21, third quarter more later first and 10, Grayson great field position for their first possession.
Of the third quarter pass on the run is thrown complete at the 38 yard line.
And that is a first down or close to it catch by Stinson second.
Catch force, tension about a yard short of the first down and bought these offenses right now.
Trying are hurry up already grazing.
At the lines.
We take one more.
Look at this.
I like to see what teams.
I'm out and do in the second half after halftime both them, try to establish something different.
We see Bryce there, on the roll out, the nice play, and a nine-yard.
Gain close to a first down Bryce, 6 of 11 passing 453 yards so far in this game.
Far Cry, 4, the 165 and a half.
He averages per game, second down in one.
Bryce will run for it as the first down and bright steps Out of Bounds at the 34 yard line, but moves the sticks for a first down as we check in Grace, Olsen's got an update on Jonathan Hawkins.
All right, running back from Mill Creek.
Jonathan Hawkins standing right by me.
He got injured earlier on in the game, in the first half.
I've been watching him.
He's definitely trying to keep weight off of that left foot.
You can see him right there.
He's been he has both ankles taped and he's been holding that left ankle but according to The staff, he's good to go and he's going to go back in soon, guys.
Thanks Grace.
You would think they would have to have Hawkins back in the ball game to have a chance to come back against this duration, team, a score here by grace and Larry would be huge, would put Mill Creek in a very deep hole early in the second half.
Especially this grace and defense has played man.
I agree.
Pass is incomplete at the 30 -yard line.
Stinson the intended target.
Apparently, it hit the ground.
So it's second down.
Yeah, it would be really tough to get.
Get a score, any score.
You know, I'm not sure.
Can't can Mill Creek, score two, touchdowns, sustained, two, touchdown, drives against this grace, and defense right now, and I'm not sure that could happen.
Might have to get a play on defense, play on special teams.
Like Grayson was able to do second down and 10 early stages of this third quarter.
Quick Pass thrown to a say, that's the first catch for a say in this ballgame.
And the first time, they've gone back to him since early in that first quarter.
And he's close to the first down and picked up about eight on that play.
That's what I was thinking.
Yeah, they didn't look at his way.
And then the second quarter of those couple of dropped passes their early in the first quarter.
Nice look right here as say usually really sure hands.
Make sure of it that time seemed catch you right in the breadbasket and it's gone for good yard and a good block by 32 Sturgill to get him few extra yards.
Down and three.
Now they have to get to the 24 for the first down.
Mickey cons team back in the playoffs for the first time since 2012.
Throw is complete.
That is a first down.
Catch by a say they go back to back to Cedric a say who is committed to Miami of, Ohio.
40 second catch of the season for a say and they get the first down.
Now, one more look at it right here.
This is just a very nice simple good Rush right there, but he beats.
It short throw, first down this, moving the chains, nice efficient drive here, using the short game in the passing game, to move down field on Mill Creek.
Swing pass to Sturgill off his hands.
Here's a big difference.
I've noticed right now.
I'm not sure they've had a running play this drive here in the opening drive for the grace and offense here in the second half.
It's been All Passes.
Yeah, it was a run by Bryce, but it was it was a pass play that he had no place to go with it.
So he ran for the first down.
That's the only running play.
They've had so far on this drive where they took over at the Mill.
Creek, 48-yard lat 2nd down and 10.
Double move.
Now.
He looks back the other way and Bryce will run inside the 20 inside the 15.
And Bryce has a first down as he tippy-toes the sidelines all the way down to the 6, yard line.
Nice run by chase price.
That was you know, it's one of those you it's an old another cliche for you.
Take what?
The defense gives you nothing open downfield.
Good.
Blocking up front.
He decides to tuck it in.
And that's a good call.
And again this grace and all fence all the different players.
Not just the line but the skill players who have very nice job of blocking downfield, taking care of the linebackers and defensive backs, and it just adds those extra yards and its first and goal.
Now for Grayson ball at the 6 yard line.
Grayson trying to score the first offensive touchdown of this game.
Cameron brain, they're stringing him out clears one tackle, but not the next great Pursuit.
Tyler Voyles was able to get there and slowing down to get help from his teammates.
Yeah, we've said this so many times today man.
Already one more look at it.
Watch the wide angle here.
Once again all through here, watch with all these guys are doing and watch the defense and how they will all react that's going to roll this and watch again, count the number of maroon shirts.
They just wring it out.
They string it out.
There watching a watching.
They know what he's To do, stay right with them boil the initial contact gang tackle to get him out of bounds loss on the play.
They've done that time and time.
Again that Mill Creek front, seven really denying the run on?
Grayson second down and goal ball.
Now back close to the 10 yard line.
That's what's so tough.
If you're on the Mill Creek, Side is again.
The defense has played very well in this game.
Deborah substitution infraction against the white team.
It's a five-yard penalty for p. S. Wow.
So now their first and goal to go from the six is become a second and goal from back at the 14 yard line.
And the tough break your Mickey Conn. You don't want to hurt yourself.
Second and 14 pass complete to assay.
His third catch.
He's into the endzone, nicely executed by the Grayson Rams, a 14-yard touchdown pass from Chase.
Bryce to Cedric is a seventh touchdown reception for a say in the 19th touchdown, pass the seats for Bryce.
And now Grayson has put Mill Creek into trouble with the 16 to nothing lead.
Now the tcsg replay we talked about LG.
It's too bad.
You lost five yards.
Well, here's how you make it up, quick out right there to your top Fleet.
Receiver assay was never touched on his way to the endzone, great play by Grayson in the big lead right now for the Rams.
So a say, becomes a big part of the game plan on this.
48-yard touchdown drive as Hoyt puts it through a say, had three catches on that.
48-yard touchdown drive.
It covered eight plays, first offensive, touchdown of the night gives Grace has a 17 to nothing lead.
This moment getting here, took three years of sleepless nights and postponed vacations.
Your dad said, play it safe.
Your husband kept the faith.
But franchising is, why you partnered with regions.
In the first place.
We share your vision for moving forward.
And at moments like this, that makes all the difference is your business at a turning point regions, Georgia cotton Farmers, want you to know cotton is grown in 91, Georgia, counties, on over 1 million Acres of cotton.
Of 2.5 billion dollar economic impact and accounts for over 15,000 jobs in Georgia.
Cotton's Innovative production has lowered water, use per pound of cotton by 75 percent.
Since nineteen, eighty one bale of cotton can make 215 pairs of denim jeans or 700 towels cotton is a natural choice for, Georgia.
Right back here at Mill Creek, High School.
Watch this last touch around here.
Jalen.
Jackson's got to come out but watch how quick is say is on this.
Let's go ahead and roll this.
He's gonna come out and set the block, but as saying is so quick.
He actually is right by the defender.
Just kind of use it as a pseudo pick on his way to the endzone.
But again, we've talked before about again with this spread offense and the wing T. What they do, that's part of the spread, the receivers, the guys, on the end very agile, very athletic to get out there, and make those blocks to Spring.
But again, in this case, a say, it was so quick.
It needed.
But a nice set play drawn up by the coaching staff and a touchdown.
For Grayson four catches.
Now for a say, 37 yards, and a 17 to nothing lead for gration.
As they are trying to advance the second round of the 6A, playoffs by knocking out Mill Creek.
In just the second ever home, playoff game in the Hawks program history.
Conlon the kickoff for the Rams.
Again, short kicks it fair catch called for and made at the 19 yard line by bull and that's where Mill Creek will try to get some offense started here.
They have not been able to do anything thus far against the Stout Grayson defense.

Effing Yanni, actually, that's Daniel, David.
Paul is out, Grayson Scoops.
It up.
I believe they belong to play dead, Jordan Cornelius, trying to scoop and score.
But I believe the whistle sounded and Mill Creek, Dodges a bullet.
He had to take a look here and see if his knee was down.
Again.
We David has not had a chance really to run the ball and he is picked up and he is down.
He's Down the bolt.
Yeah, if we had Replay, that would have been a fumble because his body never hit the ground.
His body landed on top of a Grayson player.
And again, Mel Jenkins is down.
It's the third time that the training Crews had to go out there and help Mel Jenkins get off the field.
Check this again.
Trying to make something happen David again.
No running plays call for him really since the first quarter, but watch very clearly.
His body does not hit the ground.
Great strip there by Jenkins.
Mill Creek catches a break because that would have been a scoop and score for Grayson and game set match.
More than likely opinion.
He stays in the Ballgame Hawkins, injured, his ankle.
He is yet to come in here in the second, half a pinata.
He picks up the first down.
It's going to hard run right there by.
If, in Yanni For the first down, you know, again, if you're Mill Creek, you have a lot of time left.
I mean, I like this.
Try to pick up four or five yards.
Time run here at past their hurry up offense.
Make things happen.
Justin Young gets to Daniel David and wraps him up.
Check in with Grace Olson down on the sidewalk.
Circumstance a pad to that.
They faced recently in the last few games that have been complete blowouts on their side.
So the defense just kind of looks shell-shocked.
They were on pins and needles before during that last Grace and drive before Grayson scored and the main message from the defensive coaches have just been keep fighting each time.
They subdue player.
It players in an album message was keep fighting.
You don't give up.
Keep fighting guys.
Thanks Grace.
Randy Watkins.
Picks up the flag that had been thrown on the The field.
So they wave that off and now it brings up a Second down and 10 with the ball at the 34.
Pitch.
And trouble and a big loss on the play.
Yeah, Hawkins back out there and he takes a big loss and comes right back.
Well, it's a tough.
It's tough for him.
And Ankle.
It's hard to make a quick turn.
That he's used to making wasn't there for him.
Third and long.
Daniel, David has time to throw but nobody's open.
And now his time is gone bodies.
Flying everywhere.
And David gets hit hard and thrown down by Daniel Finnell and it's Fourth Down.
One more.
Look at this, the old watch again.
And this is again.
What makes him so tough count?
The number of white shirts, right in here.
As you take a look.
They're only going to rush three guys, that leaves eight guys, falling back.
And that's what makes this so tough this grace and defense, he's got all kinds of time but nowhere to go because this front line is.
So incredibly talented and athletic David has nowhere to throw winds up again with the minimal gain right there.
Great job by the grace and defense is just a it's just a tough assignment.
No Creek.
Is that a great job of doing all.
Can't keep these guys at Bay, but they're just they're a really talented front.
Mikell McDaniel is being helped off.
The field is able to walk off under his own power.
After you was shaken up on that, play on that replay.
You could see Daniel, David had effing Yanni open up as he started to run, had, he been able to spot him and throw on the Run.
They would have gotten the first down instead.
They're having a pun again and it's twice, he's done that.
When he's been under duress.
If Nani was opened in the first half and a similar situation.
He didn't find it.
Wound up getting sacked had to punt the ball away.
Way, and now a timeout called by Grayson.
That'll be the first one used by them here in the second half as we check in with Jon Nelson.
All right, guys, we'll spend some time and quad-a you think of the left-hand side of that hole brackets?
One of the toughest in the entire State, you go down to the lower left part.
Look at it right there, Marist, at the break, leading Whitewater.
6:37 Griffin.
Without Anfernee Stroud is beating Liberty County Liberty County came in under 500 here in the playoffs 27.
Nothing at the break.
Griffin and Jarrett laws are hoping to have Stroud back by the quarterfinals, which could have either Mary persons if things continue to go through.
Mary persons leading Westover right now.
14 to nothing, Buford had two quick scores at the beginning of the third quarter.
They're leading Southeast Whitfield 42.
Nothing.
So if you look at that bracket just play around with it a little bit could be Buford and Mary persons.
Next week could be Griffin and Maris next week.
So you could have any one of those four.
Throw them into that.
Third round match-up Marist, Beaufort.
Even Mary persons.
That's heavyweight stuff right there.
We'll have more in a bit.
Thank you, John.
We've started the march to the Georgia Dome in the state championships, two days of non-stop action on December, 12th and 13th.
And, of course, we will be there for all seven state championship games, Richards planning, again, a line drive, kick fair, catch called, for, by Hayes who slips and falls down after making the catch.
And so, Grayson back on offense at the 29-yard line.
They've got the clock and they've got the scoreboard in their favor.
Right.
Now who's shaking up the food chain in the frozen Arctic?
Why our scientists worried that a massive Landslide Landslide is part of a growing Trend and how in the world?
Do you catch a comet?
Find out on this week's?
Why Wednesday starting every Wednesday at 8:00 on?
GPB?
You notice on those punch right now by Mill Creek?
After that punt return for a touchdown, that they've gone to the rugby style, little couple of extra seconds.
His ball doesn't go very high to give us his guys.
A chance to cover team to go and get down and And try to again to keep them to contain him and he has not returned since they'll be interesting Larry to see if they go to the ground game here.
They were very effective in the short passing game on their 48 touched 48-yard touchdown drive on their last possession.
I would think right here.
This is the classic Grayson grind out the clock and let the air out of the ball.
But instead, they go to the air.
We have a flag schuessler, looked like he was tackled, while the ball was in the air.
There is a flag down.
Yeah, I think maybe his we have a good angle on it on a replay but maybe almost like his arms were pinned mean he almost he didn't reach out for the ball.
Holding against the defense.
So 10, you're killing first down you and I watch way too much football.
That's what check it out.
Here.
Again, the hunter Shuster here number seven coming into left side of your screen Bryce sees him.
T Wu, the linebacker was covering them and look like a team who grabbed him.
That was the holding call.
So First and Ten for grace and at the 39 yard line, Matt to answer your point.
The looks like the grace is going to continue to be aggressive and I just run the ball worry about the clock.
They want to go and get another touchdown as they can while they're being true to their colors here.
They've been a totally balanced offense this year 50/50 run past in the past.
They were at best 70/30 run past.
And a lot of times maybe 80 /20 But they've adapted to their personnel.
It's a say again, then, all of a sudden, Cedric assay is a big part of The Gleam game plan is the linebacker.
Aaron Anderson makes the tackle, his fifth of the night, but a say close to a first down.
You telling coach see?
You can trust me.
I got it.
I got this.
I'm gonna hold onto these balls.
He dropped two in the first quarter coach.
What he called wasn't happy.
But boy, he has been a force here in the second.
Half such great speed, a great weapon out there in the flat touchdown on last Drive.
He's gotten close to a first down here.
Nine yard pickup, five catches 48 yards for a say all of them in this quarter.
Cameryn Brent right up the middle.
First down Anderson, Make You The Tackle but not until Brent picks up, six yards on the play.
Matt.
We talked about in the pregame and earlier in this game about how this is to be decided on the line.
As we take one more look at it.
It's the Grayson line right now.
That's really getting a job done.
And how do we know?
I can't recall the last time we called the number of one of the front fork of the Mill Creek defense.
So First and Ten ball at the 45-yard line, Mickey Conn had a very interesting perspective on their lost coin flip.
Bryce to the air, that's a say again.
They run that screen again.
Six catches for his say in the quarter.
He's touched the ball more than anybody else.
Mickey said, you know, we look to that coin flip and we quote, unquote lost it because we were nine and one co-champions ended up being the three seed had to play on the road.
And he said, maybe we won the coin flip because we feel like we have a very good match up physically against this Mill Creek team and he might be right the way things are unfolding here tonight.
Yeah.
It's a good point boy.
This Milky team is a really, really team that they are, it is a good matchup for them, at least so far, it has been Second down.
He said, look, you got to play all the good teams.
If you're going to go all the way through, he knows that they won the state championship.
Going all the way through in 2011.
Might as well play the good teams while you're healthy.
Brent on the carry and Brent, down to the 36 yard line, picks up about four and a half on the play.
Not a lot of ground game for Grayson tonight.
That was the 15th carry for Brent and just 41 yard.
So less than three yards per carry for cameryn Brent tonight.
Young men who averages five and a half yards per carry during the regular season.
Yeah, but you know what, that they're good effective yards right now.
Only two runs.
Run plays here.
So far in the third quarter.
The both has been very effective.
Why?
Because of the passing game out to the flats.
It opens everything up inside, third down, and a yard Bryce on.
The keeper picks up the first down.
Chase Bryce.
A big reason why this team has been able to go to the spread wing-t hybrid offense.
They really worked at this thing in the passing camps.
Over the summer.
They won the national qualifier at last.
Her went over to Hoover and performed very well.
And Bryce was the quarterback the whole time really developed a great rapport with his ride, receiving Corps, Mickey Conn.
So they spent the summer really relentlessly studying, the offensive, Gus Malzahn.
Auburn.
And of course, the offense at Clemson where Dabo Swinney the head coach, of course, Mickey cons teammate, it out of ammo, Brent on the carry, nearly nearly busted it right there.
Well, here's one way we're going to see here a player.
We're going to watch and the point out here in a moment.
Let's watch this replay of the can watch again.
And here's the thing.
This is the guy Aaron Anderson right here.
Watch what he's doing.
He's got a cover.
Whatever is happening on the outside.
So see, instead of coming inside.
It's not his fault.
He's been tasked right now to stay on the outside.
If you notice in every screenplay, he needs.
The first thing he does, is he runs out to the side because he has to stay out there and be wary of the receiver on the screen.
He can't come inside and play linebacker and that opens up that whole even more of abrasion and the running game.
Brent stutter steps through the hole and streaks into the open and a touchdown.
Saving tackle there by Turner, but Brent moves the sticks.
Again.
It's a first down at the 15 and I don't know that Grayson's about to apply the knockout punch for you.
Certainly get the feeling that they're close to it.
Well, they feel really in control.
How about this great camera work right here, looking right into the eyes of cameryn, Brent, as you said to time 1,000-yard runner, the last two seasons, just a great determination, great power Runners.
We talked about before and, you know, the Did you get the feeling right now that they feel very much in control that they can do anything?
They want to do right now, they feel they've got this Mill Creek defense on their heels.
Sweep to Warren.
Warren inside the 5 and Dives to the end zone and marked down inside the one boy.
That was close.
I thought he was in on that one.
But again you one more, look at it's going to come right into your living room right here.
Here's cameryn, Brent right there, but it's not him.
He doesn't get the balls to Sean Warren instead.
And look at the Block right there, that Brent, lays down boy.
That's gotta hurt on.
Kajaani, Sebastian, almost freezing up for the touchdown.
That's a first down on the one right now, for Grayson, and as it, we've talked a minute ago.
They feel very confident right now.
Everything going well past past past past, now, the running game, we've saw several of plays go.
Right up the middle.
And now running to the outside.
They've got the whole field back under their command with this Grayson audience.
Mickey Conn is way down the sideline.
I'm not sure he wants a timeout and finally gets it.
I mean he was out on the field at about the 10-yard line, trying to get the thing, the timeout with 1:38 to play here in the third quarter, of course, our trivia question coming up at the top of the fourth quarter and somewhere on that list is the The answer to our trivia question as we take a look at the Grayson Rams.
Next level.
Of course, the kimchi Brothers at Ole Miss Clemson has been a great destination for the Grayson Rams.
As I mentioned, just a few moments ago, Dabo Swinney a teammate of Mickey Conn at Sal at Alabama.
And of course, Wayne gulman rain, Brian Carter.
Nix schuessler there.
Clemson Casey gains at Penn State, Zach Barnes at Texas, Tech, spreads herbalist at Colorado State.
What a season, the Rams of put together in a Jim McElwain 9 and 1 on the And Fred Williams at East Carolina.
The Pirates have a spectacular season as well.
At Colorado State, the Rams trying to become that team to get into one of the Marquee bowls.
Yeah.
That group of five team that breaks in on the big boy dance.
Yeah.
And the way it works out, by the way, if Colorado state gets in, it's a means of possibly a better matchup here in Atlanta at the Chick -fil-A Peach Bowl point out.
Some of the finer print of the contract.
So it works.
So Grayson has it first and goal to go inside the one yard line.
They might be about to put this one away, even though we're still in the third quarter.
Go up, 24 to nothing against this Mill.
Creek team.
Not built for the come back would be huge.
And Bryce did not get in.
Well, he's just at the half -yard line.
He thought he was in.
I did too and now they signal touchdown.
That was a delayed call.
Yeah.
Wow.
So a one-yard touchdown run I think by Chase Bryce, although I never even saw the officials give the sign but certainly he's over right there, but they never signaled it on the field.
Yeah.
I'm and I'm not sure.
Well, okay the kicker's out, okay.
Not sure why they didn't lift their arms unless they're just too cold to do it.
Rich boy with the p80 makes it 24 to nothing.
You can get you asking to the tcsg touchdown replay.
All here.
It is.
Tcsg touchdown, replay one more.
Look at it.
There's a camera right on the line and you make the call right there.
I think he's the balls across just has to cross the plane.
Again.
They were right there on the half-yard line.
referees looking at each other and You call it.
I'm not gonna call it.
Yeah, Uncle I sneezed.
So I didn't quite see it.
And 10 Place 71 yard drive for Grayson that now, that's a Grayson drive that we are accustomed to see and is they take a 24 to nothing lead and we check in with Jon Nelson down on the sideline.
All right, guys, let's go in the upper part of this particular bracket.
We're starting to get some final scores in from all around the state McEachern.
After being down early, 3 -nothing.
They come back to win 2:37 so we can advance McKee.
Turn into the second round, they'll play the winner of Cherokee and Alpharetta, you know, the score of our game in that game.
Three right now, fourth quarter, half way through Tucker, with another field goal on the board.
They're leading tip County 3123 at Memorial Stadium.
Hughes.
Also bleeding, North Cobb 3521.
There's a kick.
Kick taken by Curry at the 11-yard line.
And Curry up to the 35, 24 -yard kick return by David Curry.
Let's see if Mill Creek, has something left in them here with just 13 minutes plus left in this gate.
Wealth Joe much, you got time if you're Mill Creek Hawks.
Its Grayson defense is just an outstanding job, you know, they move the ball there earlier this quarter with some short passes.
I would go back to that get it out there on the flat.
You got some guys open up there.
A lot of space run some screenplays and picks up in Yanni still in their running back pass was batted down at the line of scrimmage by Justin Young.
Yeah, something like that, except just Justin.
Justin Young doesn't block.
That's what I had in mind.
Just you're not gonna get anything in this interior of the grace and defense.
It's for almost three quarters, and very little has been there and especially with Hawkins being hurt.
You've got to take a shot at plays like this.
And again, trying to begin to look downfield.
Pass complete to curry, curry spins to the outside and picks up the first down ball out, fumbled Out of Bounds at the 47 48, yard line, first down for the Mill Creek, Hawks now, but a play just like that.
That's what we're looking for.
Nothing inside.
So David, again.
Great camera work by our GPB crew all night long coming right out of your living room.
Great pass right there.
Good catch fortunate.
That the ball bounced out of bounds for positive yards.
So First and Ten Mill Creek at their own 47, David does have time but they're only rushing three lobs, it downfield.
It's intercepted by a bus or an abbess way with the interception his third of the season and Grayson has the ball back for matches.
As you mentioned.
We've talked about it before again, disgrace and Frontline is so strong.
Look at this.
It's got their taken Five Guys.
To block only three Defenders that leaves all kinds of Fires downfield.
And that's again.
So now you're playing really like an 8 on five downfield.
That's just tough to tough.
Great play right there by Abba soy.
Chase Turner came in with the big pop, but it was a little too little and a little too late Grayson back on offense.
Cameryn Brent on the carry applesauce or getting congratulations over there on the bench.
He's telling everybody how he did.
It.
Looks like you're still caught up in the moment, some serious.
Look on his eyes.
And right now, Grace and again, feeling like they're in total control.
I think you'll see a lot more running plays here.
Probably one more play before we finish the quarter.
Brent Teemu.
The first one to hit him, Brent gets about a yard on the play seven tackles for Sidney otiwu tonight.
And that is the end of the third quarter.
Abba soy got the ball back to the Rams as we head into this fourth quarter Cedric is safe big third quarter, including that, touchdown catch right there and Mickey cons team, 12 minutes away from advancing to the second round.
You look twice before, Crossing you exercise, you choose the salad occasionally.

Let's go.
During this performance, one student will drop out of high school.
Be there for your big finish.

Welcome back to Mill, Creek.
Grayson leading 24 to nothing.
Heading into the fourth quarter in the first round of the 2014.
GI Chase GHSA state playoffs.
Now, we asked you earlier in the first quarter, which former Grayson star, led the Rams with the State title in 2011, with 18, sacks and 17 touchdowns.
The winner of our trivia question for tonight, is true champ, very confident, but very fittingly confident, he won because he is Very quickly and he gave us more than we asked for.
He said, the answer is Robert candy Chi.
That was his junior year.
17 touchdowns.
528 yards, 18 sacks and thirty six tackles for loss.
So thank you for participating.
Everyone on Twitter, and true champ.
You get these two tickets to the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
So Sinister and boat, and we'll send you these tickets.
Enjoy.
Thank you everybody for participating, guys.
It's all yours.
Thanks Grace.
And here's a look at the all the players.
They lost off that 2012 team.
They signed in 2013 led by Kim d g Who of course was the number one Prospect in the country for two years running and so that means last year when they took the field they were replacing 22 starters.
They went from State Champs in 2011, 10 and two and two thousand twelve two, four and six last year and missed the state playoffs.
They are now 12 minutes away from their tenth win out of 11 games this year and advancing to the second round.
Bryce Flags out, has thrown out of bounds, and we'll check the calls going to be a holding call coming up against Croatian.
But to your point is Grace and program is set for the long haul.
You look at Bryce, the quarterback is only a sophomore cameryn.
Brent.
The running back is a junior.
Daniel on the line as a junior Odin, I guess the office.
They're gonna have some losses.
You will on the defensive side of the ball.
They've got, they've got four seniors.
That are D1 commitments that they will lose on the defensive side of the ball, just in Dawn committed to Georgia Momo.
Barry recently committed to Kansas State Daniel fennel and got 21 offers.
Just got an offer from South Carolina last week.
Jordan Hayes, committed to Duke.
That's a big reason why I that Mill Creek has had only 70 yards of offense through the first three quarters of this game, macdougan on the punt, no rush.
A booming kick back macdougan, brought rain with that one and Chase Turner, had to catch that ball over his shoulder.
And so the Hawks running out of time, go on offense from their own 15 yard line.
As we take a look at the Mill Creek Hawks next level, Kelsey Griffin starring at South Carolina.
Cheers, ski at Maryland, crucial at Air Force in piano James at East Tennessee State, of course, the buck.
Their program.
Next year, 2015.
So Mill Creek on offense from the 15-yard line, having to go to the are lobs.
It, downfield and complete Hawkins back in there.
Couldn't catch up with that pass.
Yeah, he's hobbling though.
Clearly not at 100%.
That's really too bad.
Such a great player, had a big first half.
This Hawks offense.
He comes off the field again here.
Yeah.
He's about to, he's it looks like he's about to go about one, play at a time.
He's got to come back over and rested up and then go back out there.
Just very ineffective since he suffered that Ankle injury in the second quarter.
Nice.
Grab by whole, that'll be enough for a first down, Joe, whole a senior, perhaps playing.
In his final.
High School game will be his final, High School game at Mill Creek, and rally and Wilbur look here, very quickly.
Nice moves threads, the needle, nice passes.
Well, by David, David back to the air, that is completion to You first catch of the ball game from Micah pulley his 11th catch of the season.
Mike a little shake it up there as you might imagine.
He's woozy.
I'm Uzi form up here.
That was a hard helmet to helmet.
Hit.
Pick up of nine on the play, second down in one.
F and Yony up the middle, that the nanny.
Got the first down right there Denzel, right?
Making the tackle six tackles for right tonight.
Three of them for loss, you know, on a team full of division, one prospects.
Denzel.
Right has really been a big story for the Rams this season.
David scrambling throwing to the sideline and throws it out of bounds.
Hold the intended, target, the real key to the Ball Game.
And Larry, you've pointed it out several times to take a look at Denzel.
Right?
Right.
There is the ability of the Grayson Rams to get a stout pass rush with three guys.
Yeah.
It's been eight in the cupboard.
Yeah, makes like that was a perfect perfect example right there.
That you'll he goes.
He sees a chance.
David seems a guy that's open, but there's so many players around it.
Like you can play zone the rest of the way because you have so many players.
You can cover so much more ground makes it tough to pass again.
Just a three-man rush.
Pass thrown over Riley's head at the 47 yard line.
Brings up third down and maybe don't do it right here.
But then again at your in four down territory the rest, the way I'd like to see him.
Just take one deep, see if you can get a single coverage somewhere.
I don't know if you can rushing, only eight.
Yeah, just take a shot 30 yards, downfield to, what have you got to run?
You gotta get a run play here.
I would say, send people Deep Run a trap or something, and try to get a running Lane out of that three-man front.
David will run for the first down inside the 15.
If T move and that is just the second time tonight.
And the first time since the first quarter that Mill Creek has been in, Grayson territory.
Yeah, just end.
It was all David right here.
We talked about again.
What a dual threat.
He is just has not been able to run the ball.
Up this up the middle of this grace and defense he takes it outside.
Great move right there to avoid going out of bounds have Took advantage of the block out, their big play.
In a big first down, biggest play on offense.
They've had this entire game David to the air throws complete at the 31, a pick up of four on the play, on that completion to Braden.
Conibear, his first catch of the season for the senior.
Picked up only three instead of four second down and seven.
David running Lane slides at the 29, but that's effective that works.
Yeah, loosens things up a little bit.
Now.
It's a third down and four coming up.
David started.
The night is the third all -time leading rusher in Mill Creek history with over 1700 career yards on the ground and he's the number two pasture in school history.
F and Yony first down carry for f and Yanni.
Best dry.
They've had since early in the game.
If in Yanni doing a nice job with Hawkins injured, nice move right there.
Protects the ball.
It's very important Mill Creek on the run on the moon.
David running chased steps Out of Bounds at the 16-yard line.
Got eight on the play and Daniel, David starting to make some things happen here in his perhaps.
Final game of his high school career.
Throw a nice move right here again.
Don't waste time looking around, go through your progressions.
If you don't see anybody open, you know what, that's what it is.
Last time your picked off and you forced a ball, run the ball, make some things happen.
Get some positive yards, keep the chains moving.
David to the are fires a bullet off the hands of Canada mirror and they had a whole open up there in the top of your screen or first down and maybe more more.
Look at it right here from the high angle.
Unloaded on that thing.
That was a fastball third down and two Bill Creek, 3, of 11 on their third Downs tonight.
F and Yanni.
Gets the first down.
Moves the sticks again.
Nicely executed drive for Mill Creek here at started at their own 15-yard line, going for the end zone and Curry, and it is incomplete.
Nice job on the help by Matthew.
Greenway the safety who's come in, with Mel Jenkins out and help break up.
Blood was just a nice play right there.
Again.
I thought was a nice touch by David.
He's overthrown some balls.
This is just a nice touch.
You practice this all year.
Long spring, summer weekends, weeknights morning.
Sometimes didn't come up with it.
In other words.
There's not a time that you don't know, maybe dinner time second down and 10.
Okay, every time except dinnertime and Daniel trying to cut back slips and falls down at the 11.
Yard line.
And so now it's going to be third down and about eight as Matt.
You Gotta Eat, you know, you got to stop any we do.
Yeah, otherwise real so you'll have no energy and you'll faint and then be able to complete.
That's right.
Gotta get the ball to the 34, the first half.
David scrambling gets away from the pass rush and will step out of Bounds at about the 11.
So now fourth down coming up.
I don't if you notice right there.
You see how many white shirts were right there?
Six.
White shirts that offensive backfield to like to maroon shirts.
I mean that's that's again and that's when you when you can begin to do that.
Look watch right here.
The bottom of your screen would look down here at the end.
Watch this.
Look at the white shirts that are down there.
I don't know if you saw it on that replay Finnell the linebacker.
I just blasted a wide receiver.
Took him right out of the bullet.
Yeah.
Fourth down and eight, right here.
Mill Creek, has any shot of coming back?
They've got to get a first down here.
David going for the end zone and broken up at the last second.
Nice play by Jordan Cornelius, and the ball goes over on downs.
And Grayson might have preserved, a shutout here in this first round.
That was a nice, throw Dixie, takes a shot at it right there.
But again, the grace and defense is too much Jordan Cornelius and a dejected, Daniel, David and the Mill Creek offense.
Heads back to the sideline ball.
Is over to Grace.
And with time running out here in this first round match-up questions, can't wait until morning.
So I'm one of many nurses at Cigna with answers any time day or night.
I'm Lauren and I've got your back.
I'm not sick.
She's perfectly healthy.
Cigna covers, preventive care.
That's having your back.
The new College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience, put stands closer to the game experience featuring over 30,000 square feet of college football, interactive exhibits tickets available at CFB Hall.com.
Grayson 8 minutes and 24 seconds away from advancing.
To the second round of the Georgia High School Association, 6A state, playoffs leading Mill Creek here, 24 to nothing.
Matt Stewart, Larry Smith.
John, Nelson Grace, Olson, Claire Simms, and Mark Harmon in a cast of thousands with you at Mill Creek Community Stadium in Houston.
Grayson want to keep it on the ground and run clock.
That was Brent on the Carrie.
Aaron Anderson, making.
The tackle eight tackles for Anderson tonight.
I know there's no such thing as a moral Victory.
But again, I really like the way the Hawks defense has played the run in this game.
Yeah, it's actually, it's the passing game.
The balance of this Grayson offense, and their ability to get a three-man rush on defense.
That has really been the big story and the Ballgame of the special teams play by Jordan Hayes.
I mean, that was the single biggest play in this game.
The 72 yard punt return for a touchdown.
Well, that gave the momentum going into the end of the locker room and then coming out in the second half.
It's just been a great game plan by grace, and Bryce to the are going for the home run, and schuessler, and shoes.
Can a mayor back there in coverage?
And now it's going to be third down and how about Grace in 24 points on the night tonight against Mill Creek, the 24 points.
They've scored against this Hawks defense, and really only 17 against the defense as you take a look at the replay again.
24 points.
More than Mill Creek had surrendered in their last five games combined.
Yeah.
That's just that's really impressive.
What?
They've done.
This Mill Creek defense is Yuma.
And this is, you know, again, we're in the playoffs and not just the playoffs for, this is a magical.
As we said at the very beginning, both these two teams were Champs, I mean, these are two very, very good, teams Mill, Creek's outstanding.
Team raised has taken it to him and score almost when they want to do in the second half.
Yeah, Mill Creek, one of the hottest teams in the state entering this matchup.
They had not lost a game since their 5141 loss against North Gwinnett, but it looks like their season going to come to a close here tonight Bryce.
Nice baked to tuck and run and get slammed hard to the ground at the 15 yard line, by Tyler Voyles for.
With tackled the knife there.
Mike linebacker.
And 108 tackles on the season for Voyles, the senior, a lot of frustration.
In this tackle, one more look at it right here V. You see him, drop him back there.
Top of your screen.
He's the Watchdog.
He's the, keeping the eye on Bryce little frustration there.
So the guqin on to punt from the one yard line Mill Creek, going to get the ball back here, Turner standing at his own, 48 to receive.
Nice high kick fair, catch called for by Turner.
And he makes it at the 43 -yard line.
Let's check in with Jon Nelson, to get score updates on this first round night.
All right, we have our first upsets of the evening and there it is.
Central Gwinnett scores.
Oh my glace to beat North Gwinnett.
North Gwinnett is gone.
So let's take a look at the rest of That bracket, and that whole mini bracket could go because right now, fourth quarter Newton is winning at Bazemore Hider Stadium.
You could have those to go and right now Ed was winning big and Westlake is winning big, so that bracket just went in the blender.
Holy smokes.
You're not kidding.
It went in the blender Muhammad very there at the Big-time, tackle haven't called his name very much.
Haven't really had to.
But, you know, last time we televise Grayson again, south when he was committed to Wisconsin.
He decommitted from the Badgers in late, October visited, Kansas State, and then committed to the Wildcats.
This past Monday, Wildcats really doing a great job of recruiting of the state of Georgia up.
All of jump ball for curry and its broken up.
They got for prospects out of Georgia, Kansas State Bill, Snyder's crew do Great job.
Who knew that Kansas State coming to Georgia and grab guys like Momo, Barry Tucker, quarterback, Duke Shelly, Stephenson wide receiver, Isaiah's, Uber and Cartersville athlete Kalin Heath, but that's what they've been able to do.
I don't know who they hire that has this this part of the country, but give me a raise.
He's done a fantastic job.
Third down and long now, for Mill Creek.
Pump fake David scrambling for his life and then slips at the 39 yard line.
Fourth down.
Tough night for that, young man, great teams and great career here.
Yep, part of anybody opened, unless he throws a touchdown pass.
He's gonna finish tied with John.
R Us for number one, on the all-time touchdown pass list with 35, good company course, Russ.
Now, with the Mercer Bears, he's going to finish number two and all-time passing yards, number two, and completions and pass attempts.
And number three on the all -time rushing list.
And this gonna be Grayson's ball as the ball goes over on downs and Grayson's going to advance.
After the second round of the state playoffs and they will be either at Tucker or hosting Tift County.
One of the other either game will be a dancing.
Yeah, you know, when you get to this portion of the Season, there are very few matchups that aren't right then, even some that you don't think much about turn out to be incredible games like Central Gwinnett, knocking off North Gwinnett.
12:9 and like Newton upsetting Valdosta right now down in south, Georgia.
That's why you play the games, right?
Game against the offense, five yard penalty, first down.
So this is Grayson's, first playoff win, since a fellow named Robert Kennedy Chi is lining up for the Rams.
Of course the Rams that year in his senior year.
They won that they won the State title.
His Junior season came back as senior year.
They were ranked number one in the nation and then were upset in the second round of the state playoffs.
And they've really been as a program trying to recover from that and you know, Mickey Conn spoke to us about that.
During the season set, you know that 2012 team really took a bad rap, you know, had so many Star players.
People felt like they, you know, looked at their recruiting looked at the Press too much looked at had so many other things going on.
He said that's just not true.
That that team played with great effort, the night.
They got beat in the second round.
They just completed a ton of turnovers and got upset.
Not here tonight though.
This Grayson defense has been stifling and a balanced attack, just like we told you, you know back in the pregame show gration, wins with a balanced attack and they've been able to do that tonight to knock off a Mill Creek, team that was playing some of the best football in the state coming into tonight's action as we check in again with John Nelson.
All right, Matt, here's your answer next week.
It's going to be Tucker.
Tucker, hangs on 3129 in the back and forth game at hallford.
So the one advances and it looks like this results going to hold all of region 7 will go.
Wow.
All four teams Mill Creek, gone North Gwinnett gone Norcross, lost to Archer 38, 222 Peachtree, Ridge lost to Dacula 1714.
Wow, how fortunes change, of course a year ago.
The two State finalists were from region 7 Norcross beating North Gwinnett and the state.
Championship game and now region 7 goes bagel and 4 and the opening round.
Difference.
A year makes How about that, Tucker Tift County game?
How about Grayson at Tucker?

Stadium to play the Tucker Tigers next week, in the second round of the state playoffs 31 degrees right now.
That's probably about.
What?
What do you think 72 in the booth?
Yeah about that.
I don't know what everybody's complaining about shorts on.
I'm about you.
Hi pun out the foot.
I'm a googan.
It pounces backwards and ends up being about a 10 yard kick.
Get some more ice cold lemonade here man.
One some yeah, turn the fan on will toasty up here.
I sent some Revenge coming from down there.
They're gonna come get us so Mill Creek and you know, you can tell we could trade places if you want.
I know you guys.
It's alright.
Already degrees warmer up there.
Okay, my see grace had to go to the Hat.
I'm not even wearing a hat.
Okay.
I yeah, I had to put on At the beginning, the show and I had to double up my socks.
I took off my boots and I doubled up my socks and I still can't feel my toes.
I'm told people doesn't even matter the sport.
How many layers are on my feet.
No, because my feet are fully throat.
Frozen all the way through, and it's going to take awhile to thaw out.
And I can't feel this hand either.
So sorry.
Ya happy now Matt.
And Larry.
Well, I just listen.
Grace is a rock star.
She's gotta be out.
There were her people could see her.
That's true.
Yeah, I agree with you up here, you know, and she can rock the hat that we can't rock it like that.
So if you're going to be freezing, you might as well be a diva think.
That's right.
Look good while you're doing it.
You both do know the kind of Mystic pass is complete to Joe Hall.
I wanted to know why you needed to feel your toes in the for.
You said you couldn't feel your toes.
When's the last time you felt your toes?
Anyway, I'm at the start of the pregame show.
I could feel himself time.
Start out is a size 6, ending up a size, 8 is what you're saying, right?
Nothing like cold, High School football, David going.
Top and nearly intercepted by Abba soy, had it in his Bread Basket.
Let it slip out.
That would have been a second pick of the night.
So Mill Creek, a lot of seniors going to be saying goodbye to the football program up there on that offensive line.
Caleb Kim who's headed to Auburn Josh fan and he's headed to Middle Tennessee.
Chad Walker as we told you earlier his family, dealing with just a horrific tragedy, Bobby klemm, you'll be going off to play college football.
David Daniel David the quarterback headed to appstate in the wide receiver core can a mayor who just missed the Right there, pulley Curry the running back Hawkins and effing Yani.
A lot of guys on that offensive side of the ball out there for the final time.
We're in the maroon and gold tonight.
Great careers.
Great season for them.
Tough matchup just wasn't there night tonight.
Third and 10, David going for can a jump ball and can Tamara has it at the 10 yard line?
In and falls out of Bounds at the seven.
How about Braden?
Conibear?
No catches in the senior season until the second half to catches here in the second half of this ballgame, at least a nice little memory to take into the end of his high school career.
Yeah.
I like it, right here.
Again.
He gets out rolls out.
David does finds it some space and finally a one-on-one matchup.
He hasn't able to find this entire night just because the greys and Ethan's hasn't allowed it.
Nice play.
So Daniel, David still has a shot.
The record here as a timeout has been called by Grayson with 2:30 to play and we check in again, with John Nelson.
Here's your look at the lower left part of your 68 bracket.
We talked about reaching 7 going away Archer knocking off Norcross 38 222 Lee County region, one strong their first-ever region one playoff win couldn't come at a better time.
Traveling the Lovejoy winning 40 46 right now Hillgrove.
No problems with Douglas County.
That was 5814 in the third Roswell and Lambert.
Last score, we had on that one was Roswell winning.
But I'm still stuck over.
The fact that all of region 7 can be going away at the end of the evening.
You know, it's crazy.
It's what happens when the playoffs start crazy things happen, especially given the history of region 7 and how you know, North Gwinnett Norcross will the final two teams standing with Norcross winning the State title last year.
And now both of those teams are gone, North Gwinnett upset.
I don't know that.
Anybody really thought that Norcross had a Deep Run in them this year.
They lost so much Personnel.
So many stars off their two -time defending state championship teams.
Don't know that anybody expected a big run out of the Blue Devils, but the Bulldogs being eliminated here in the first round.
Mike Ross County Rivals, Central Gwinnett, no less is a real stunner that really hurts more than more than just one way.
Surprising.
Well, first and goal to go.
We'll see if Daniel David can get the record instead.
They hand off the effing Yanni and he'll score the touchdown.
So Mill Creek finally gets on the board here in the final minutes as we take a look at our tcsg touchdown replay and tcsg touchdown replay one more.
Look at it.
If and Yony again keep in mind.
No Jonathan Hawkins and he's been injured since that ankle injury in the second quarter is not played much than an effective when he did get in the game.
And if in Yanni the great power move right there, the dive into the end zone to prevent the shutout here at home.
They'll go for to here.
A pinata with his eight touchdown, rush of the Season Hawkins back in their number 24.
You see them lined up behind David and the two-point conversion off the hands of Peyton Moore this jump too soon.
Peyton Moore, not they're starting tied.
In in fact, they're starting defensive end.
They were having to go makeshift at the tight end position.
Since Jake Lund suffered an ankle injury late in the season.
So more was in there.
They had him open, but they couldn't get the to.
And so, it's 5:36.
As we check in again, which I know someone.
All right, let's spend some time in 5A.
Let's go to the low left section of your brackets as you fill the not in pin as you always should Stephenson is having to hang on here.
They were up 21 to nothing against Alexander right now.
In the fourth.
Stevenson is leading 3427 Alexander's comes storming Back Stockbridge.
No problems.
Third quarter with Brunswick, leading 32.
Nothing, Houston County and LaGrange was played last night.
We can advance Houston County in that bracket and Lanier is having a battle with Sequoia, as the 1C going up against the for.
That one's been back and forth.
All night, fourth quarter, Sequoia leading, Linear by the score of 24.
The 21 other winners in 5A.
Right now Cal no problems with Winder-Barrow and Allatoona all over Carver.
Atlanta will have more coming up in the postgame show.
All right, if you don´t have the GPB Sports app yet, then you don't know what you're missing.
You can watch next week's game live on the app.
If you aren't at home and can watch it on your television set can get the latest scores from around the state, football news blogs and so much more.
It's free at the App Store, download it today.
And if you do, then that means tomorrow.
We make our announcement where we're going to be for the second round of the state playoffs.
And Be right there on your phone on sidekick covered by Grayson at the 43-yard line.
So that's gonna do it.
All Grayson has to do here is kill the clock Mill.
Creek does have two timeouts remaining.
So there is a chance that the Hawks could get the ball back.
One more.
Look at this again, good shot out of Boy Hits, who hit him right in the thigh dirt and it just couldn't come up with it.
Hit Victor Heyward in the hands.
The worst place to hit them.
Boy, I thought it would be a good defensive match up and it really was for most of this game.
Grayson offense, making some adjustments there at halftime coach con the passing game to get that first touchdown of the second half made it 17 nothing and another drive after that.
And this point just milking the clock Warren, not going anywhere.
Tyler Voyles, making the tackle.
Boils with six tackles tonight.
In his final game in the Mill Creek, Hawks uniform.
He's headed to Furman next year.
Got two tackles for loss and a quarterback sack tonight for Voyles.
Be interesting to see what position, he plays the next level.
6 foot, 200, senior probably linebacker.
He was a defensive end in this program until this season.
I like that face mask.
Looks like the front of a train.
Was that Batman character Baines it?
Got me.
Know my kids are younger than yours.
Rent on my carry back to the original line of scrimmage and 11 year old son.
He keeps me up to date on those guys.
I otherwise would have no idea.
You don't have to make excuses.
If you'd like to watch Batman, that's fine with me.
22 carries 66 yards for Brent tonight.
It's been that kind of a night, Russian the ball on both sides, but it really was Grayson's, ability to throw the ball that open things up for them in the second half as they put two touchdowns on the board.
In that third quarter to pull away from the 10-nothing halftime lead.
They didn't call a single running play.
During that drive, had a couple of runs, couple of scrambles by Bryant's, but you're right.
That was the difference final minute.
And now a timeout called, by Mill Creek.
They want to get the ball back one more time.
Semaj Sterling on that, tackle.
For tackles tonight for the big guys.
He's going to wrap up his career.
For the Mill Creek, Hawks this evening.
I think, again, that story line here, the grace and defense, we talked about which which line would dominate, it was the grace and defensive line.
As we talked about.
They came out, scored that first touchdown of the second half it at 17, nothing in the defense than locked into what you and I have seen before from them three-man rush.
They drop eight back in the past, really hard to run on this team with the linebackers they have.
And of course, the front line and impossible to pass, you know, if Daniel David scrambling looking for and finally, making something happen late, but when you're looking up and you've got five receivers and eight defensive backs and seems like it's it's tough to make anything happen.
John's gonna give us more score updates.
All right, let's spend some time in quad-a.
We haven't done that a lot this evening.
But this is that tough bracket.
On the left hand side down low left.
We can advance Merit Maris one.
This evening will over Whitewater.
3213 Griffin.
No problems with Liberty County in the third quarter driven was up 34.
Nothing there.
So it looks like you're going to have Griffin.
And remember the health of a nice trout.
We're going to have to keep an eye on the quarterback for grip and might be back for the quarterfinals.
Mary.
Some snow problems, winning over West over 14 to nothing.
Buford, no problems with Southeast, Whitfield 63 nothing.
So it looks like Mary persons travels to Buford and Marist.
Travels to Griffin.
Does Beaufort ever play a close game.
I mean, outside of maybe occasionally in the Georgia Dome in the state finals, Turner making the fair Catch.
At the 14 yard line.
And that's where Mill Creek, will go on offense for the final time this season, Georgia traveler scours, the peach state, for all the nearest newest oldest weirdest and wildest attractions for you and your family to explore from Scenic getaways to high, adrenaline adventures.
And of course, some of the best eats in Georgia, watch, Georgia traveler Sundays at seven.
New episodes coming.
This January.
Final 40 seconds of the season.
For Mill Creek, heavy Russian Hill, run and David tackled from behind by Justin Young and Daniel Finnell.
And Mill Creek uses their last timeout.
You know, Matt were teasing, John, and Grace earlier about being out in the cold.
And we're in here, sipping cappuccino.
John Dies, equip here in the booth with me for the postgame.
We're gonna go over the telestrator, do some fun things with the brackets and cool.
So we're leaving Grace out there, but, but John's gets its come inside.
He has a pass.
Looking forward to that and we are just 30 seconds away from that beginning John.
All right, let's spend time and double leg.
Go low left.
For those of you filling out your brackets and pins as you well should Bremen and love it.
Love it.
No problems.
This evening.
A winner 5621.
They will play Macon County.
The top seed out of region for beating Dublin tonight.
21-7 Benedict in this was not thought of Is a 2 versus a three really going in, but Benedictine rollover Leroy Mi and Thomasville 35 -nothing and Rabun County was leading Chattooga.
21-6.
That was a third quarter score going for the home run.
It's broken up at the 41 yard line by Greenway now down to 21 seconds and third down in Mill Creek, has no more timeouts.
Grayson will be 10 and 1 on the season and they'll play at Tucker and the second round of the state playoffs.
What?
A matchup that will be against Duke Shelly and Jonathan Ledbetter for those Tucker.
Tigers pass is complete to Riley.
Slung Out of Bounds at the 23-yard line, 15 seconds, fourth and one coming up for military.
Shannon Jarvis.
Great job getting his team.
Ready for this game engine.
The distractions and Chad, Walker's, family and things that have happened.
Some injuries, hot team coming in, great season for them have been Yanni.
No, instead.
It's Daniel.
He runs for the first down steps Out of Bounds at the 32 stopping the clock, so we can run one more play in his high school career.
Mill Creek, going to finish seven and four on the season.
One last play for Daniel, David loads up and throws it deep.
And that ball is incomplete going to get more play, nine tenths of a second or they're going to call it that's going to do it.
Final score from Mill Creek Community Stadium in Houston that Grayson Rams Advanced to the second round of the Georgia High School Association.
6A playoffs with a 5:36 victory, over Mill Creek.
Snapping the Hawks five-game winning streak ending their season.
Grayson now, 10 and 1 back on the road.
Next week.
Larry great defensive performance by Grayson and a balanced offense.
Is they put Put on the gas in that third quarter and open things up in one this game tonight.
Yeah, it just again and this is a very tough tough team to play against boy.
What a great match up next week, but we saw this midseason, we predicted this Grayson's built as a team that can go very deep into these playoffs and perhaps reach, the Georgia Dome in and win it all because of that balance.
And because what they can do on defense again as we've mentioned, when they get that lead in the second half what they did they took off from there, that defense clamps down there, a very tough team to match up.
Against and they've got another fun one next week against Tucker.
Well hit the GPB Sports dot -org, gpb.org/sports Website.
Tomorrow.
You'll find out where we're going to be or better yet, get that free app and you'll find out as well that announcement coming tomorrow, John Nelson down there, with Mickey Conn as the Rams win and Advance.
You just got one of the best rewards.
I know that you get after a win.
That's always good.
That's right.
Absolutely.
That was my wife Haley.
Nothing wrong with that.
You knew this was going to be a heavyweight.
We talked about it at the half, but you clamp down on them all night long.
Hey what, that might be the longest game?
I think I've ever coached, but are our defense was Stellar all night long, and then my hats off to our offense, they came out the second half and was able to really move the ball there in the third quarter.
And we try to drain the clock there at the end and we had a hard time getting first downs, but what those guys did in the third, the third quarter, moving the ball and getting those scores right there and taking it to 24 was huge.
You know, I tell our guys every week, you know, you got to win, got to be more physical, got to win the turnover battle.
You got to win special teams.
And you know, we were able to do that tonight.
So do you want to know who you play next week?
I think we'll play Tucker's.
That is correct.
You play Tucker.
Now, you talked about offense in the third and fourth quarter Cedric and Cameron were beneficiaries of everything that the offensive line was doing offensively.
They had a stout third and fourth quarter to make it Grayson football.
Oh, yeah, Cedric Cameron.
I loved it and then to Sean.
Or and had that great run on the Jet Sweep.
And, you know, David Stinson has some good catches right there too.
And I thought Chase was on point, you know, getting the ball out to him quick, and those quick passes it, you know, what, and our offense, and defensive line played, both ways all night.
I mean, my hats off to them, especially against the heavy weights that we just played against and, you know, they did fantastic.
Congratulations.
Go celebrate for however, long you're going to celebrate, you got Tucker and we'll see Chase Bryce and just a sec postgame show starts right now.
Of John says, it does.
It does Welcome to our GPB postgame show here on the great GPB on the first night of the GHSA playoffs.
I'm Mark Harmon and I'm Claire Simms.
Don't go anywhere because this post game show.
Chock full of stuff.
You need to know.
We are going to have highlights.
We are going to have postgame interviews and we are going to have John Nelson, come back and tell you everything you need to know about who won tonight.
And who's moving on.
That's all leading up to a very exciting replay of this performance of Grayson over Mill Creek, right?
He has a PhD in Bracketology, and he's going to be up, but just a little bit but tonight's game between Grayson and Mill Creek.
It was the first round of this year's GHSA playoffs.
Let's check out the early action after a field goal for grace and the put them up.
320.
It was special teams play that got Grace and really rolling.
Jordan Hayes Paul's in this Punt and he goes 72 yards, cutting back across the Grain.
And he goes, the Pay Dirt as Grace and takes a 10, nothing lead and they never look.
Back.
That was the score at the half.
In the third quarter does Chase Bryce the Cedric assay number eight takes them from the quick six.
This makes it 17 to nothing still in the 3rd quarter, chase price sneaks over for the touchdown, on the quarterback.
Keeper to make it 24.
20 Mill Creek would score a touchdown in the fourth quarter to make things a little bit closer at 5:36.
But that's your final score as Grace and knocks off Mill Creek, 5:36 to advance on the road to the Georgia Dome and you saw him all over those highlights.
Now our John Nelson is standing by with quarterback chase price, John.
I'm sure you've got some great questions for him.
You know, it.
All right, first.
Great question.
Do you know who you're playing next week?
I can tell you if you want to know.
You're playing Tucker, but you're okay.
Yeah, tiger, I figured.
All right, so talk about tonight for me a little bit.
I know it almost seemed like Mill Creek's defense was clamping down on you first half.
What was the difference?
Third and fourth quarter.
It was as our Olan Olan was pushing it.
I just kept encouraging them camera was running the ball.
We made some plays on the edge and align was really stepping it up and said you have what was it like prepping for this week knowing that this was not a typical 23 match up knowing that Mill Creek with the pedigree that they have.
What was Like out there Grayson this week.
It was competitive.
Our Scout team did a great job for our defense and for their offense.
To contained number Dan and Dave.
Number two.
He's fast.
Can move our defense handling good just prepared.
Well, all right, talk about the defense for me a little bit.
Obviously, you know, they clamped down Mill.
Creek's running game has known to be Stout, all year long time to get some pride on your defense, for me, a little bit here, their best, in the state, my opinion bait.
They are stout.
We are front seven our Corners safety.
I mean, we got a great defense.
Alright now we're going to we're showing a little bit of Your Action as we're talking here.
So for those that don't know when they get to when you guys get to week 11 prepare for week 11.
What is it?
Like is how more intense is it?
What is it?
Like ramping up from regular season two postseason out there on the practice.
Field is just more and more Focus anymore Focus.
You need everybody together.
On the same track, no, goofing around, just do your job, get everything done, and just go have fun play.
And with what happened last year, the team not making the playoffs.
I know that you were a youngin last question here.
Just what's it like to be a part of this to get you guys back to the playoffs.
I wish great last year.
It was, it was not a great year, but you know this year we we're on a roll.
We're playing well playing good football.
All right, go celebrate with your team, sir.
Thank you.
I just got surd.
Mark.
What about that?
Man?
You deserve that.
Respect John, you've written four books on high school football and you'll write a few more.
I'm sure.
But anyway, Chase Bryce, he's a sophomore.
Ran for a touchdown, threw for a touchdown.
He had a great game for Grayson.
Let's check out some of the scores from around the state of the Georgia, EMC scoreboard, and there are some upsets talk about up first though.
Colquitt County ranked number 1 in 68, no trouble with Rockdale County 6212.
Your final score Newton is leading, Valdosta.
6:39 that game in the third quarter, the que le beats Peachtree, Ridge by a field goal 17 to 13 Central, Gwinnett knocks off North Gwinnett.
8:48.

We have our social media expert, extraordinaire, Grace, Olson, joining us.
And Grace.
I think you have some tickets to give away.
I do, I do, I do in the pregame show.
We asked a trivia question and our winner for the night, has two tickets.
Now, to the College Football Hall of Fame, which is now in Atlanta.
Our winner is taking.
And the question we asked was which NFL player did Mill Creek produce.
And which team is he currently with?
The answer is Ryan, Robinson.
2013 was his first season in the NFL.
He's a defensive end and he's currently on the Seattle Seahawks roster.
So we had a lot of people that tuned in with us on Twitter and on Facebook and answer the question.
And it's been a long wait from the pregame show till now in the postgame show to get the response in.
But thank you everyone who participated and make sure to join us next week.
If you'd like, maybe a couple tickets to the Hall of Fame and now getting to Twitter and social media.
And what people are talking about.
We always love to hear.
Where Everyone's Watching from because the games are live streaming on the app and online around the world internationally.
And we have some couch faders.
We like to call them people that aren't here in the freezing cold with us, but are watching at home and actually had this this Twitter follower fan tweet with the me in the background of his living room.
I guess watching us on TV.
So you do the same, share your stories where you're watching me who you're watching with and we also had somebody tune in watching all the way from Korea.
Rhea.
And he says, it looks cold out there.
He's in the US Air Force.
His name is Brad Davis.
So thanks for all you do and and thanks for tuning in with us and next week's game.
Make sure to participate with social media.
We will have all week long photos, and and updates shrooming all week long.
And we want everybody to participate online and tell us where you'll be watching from, and which games you'll be most interested in or around the state, and Grace will be posting where we're going to be for next week's game on Facebook tomorrow.
Yes, exactly.
Tomorrow.
Oh, that matchup will be decided for the second round.
So make sure to tune in with us on Facebook and Twitter and we will announce that as soon as we know and we're all excited to see who what school we're going to be at next week.
So make sure to check us out tomorrow, you know, you should take video of the GPB Sports bunker as we make that decision, you know, that would where we're going to go and be an intense moment.
And I think people would like to be part of that, you know, divulging process.
So maybe we should do that, right?
I know.
They like to vote on it, but boy, there are a lot of upsets.
We're going to have to scan all these Brackets and find out where we're going to go.
And I'll be back with social media, to let you know what people are saying about those objects, because it's crazy.
Sounds good.
We'll listen tonight, was a hard-hitting matchup between Grayson and Mill Creek.
Let's check out our play of the game, our GPB Sports, play the game, came in the first half.
Its number five.
Jordan Hayes.
He hauls in a pun and then he hauls buggy.
He goes 72 yards, cutting back across the grain, picking up a few blockers, then turns on the Jets and finds the corner of the endzone.
Joy.
Jordan Hayes.
72 yard punt return.
Here's another look from the back camera in the end zone off.
He goes, he finds a little seam.
That's right back.
He goes 72 yards.
You might have run over a hundred for the score.
But that is RGB.
Play of the game.
As Grayson wins.
This first round, GHSA playoffs game, 6:36 over Mill Creek.
They did a great job and somebody else who does a great job, always our own David zelinsky from Georgia traveler.
Thank you for being here.
Absolutely little cold, but I love it here and you're going to tell us something about Tanglewood Farms Tanglewood fight.
What do you think of when you think of the South?
You think High School football college football?
And of course, miniature animals, right?
Exactly.
Right?
Right.
So we have that here in Georgia.
This is the place to see it.
This is an incredible Place.
Bring the kids.
Bring everybody Tanglewood Farms can't really explain.
It's one of those things you just gotta see.
Let's now head to Tanglewood Farms in Canton, where miniature animals run this little western town.
You know out west in places like Texas, they say everything is Big well here in Canton Georgia at Tanglewood Farms.
It's a wild west town where everything is small from the world's smallest registered miniature horse to North, America's only miniature Yaks Tanglewood Farms, and it's Visionary Creator.
Michelle bolt displays these Your ordinary animals and in unordinary setting for the people of Georgia to enjoy.
Michelle is originally from Nebraska and that Western influence is prominent at the farm.
This whole place is laid out like a little western town.
The Last Chance Saloon the Grand Hotel, the schoolyard and of course the town's jailhouse where you'll find these adorable little Nigerian dwarf goat.
Now, each of the buildings has its own species, I guess.
Yeah, as you two are Tanglewood, there's different animals that live here and we have them separated by their different breeds.
And you're holding a little miniature, Nigerian dwarf goat, maybe the cutest thing on earth, right here.
And when it comes to these buried, you know, people will see a farm full of Miniatures and they might have questions about how they get here.
How'd they get?
So small Miniatures?
Most of them are found in isolated parts of the world where food is a scarce resource.
And so the heard of the actual Miniatures to survive, only the small survive because they eat less and then we got involved about 20 years ago when we were a little more rare and brought them.
So this area, so we have animals from all different parts of the world.
Tell me about the Georgia climate for all these animals.
I think most of them adapt quite well, we, of course, provide water and shade, and I think little TLC.
I think they acclimate quite well, they've got okay.
When people are touring the place.
What's the process?
Hi, Pastor, feed, the animals, they get their tickets and then it's pretty much a self -guided tour that we give them some food to feed the animals and we go over instructions with them and they take off with their a little bucket of bread takes about an hour to an hour and a half to go through when we have pony rides for the kids as well.
And it's more than just coming to pet them.
There's signs and information.
Were you Can learn about these.
Exactly.
We want people to learn about them.
Most of them are very rare breeds where there's only a few hundred in the United States or maybe just a thousand globally.
We're going to go in and see, some little miniature cows.
All right.
These are Jersey cows.
These are actually miniature jerseys.
They love bread.
So break that in half.
I need to feed them.
I get half here.
Yeah, so we got a little guy here.
We do brand-new baby horse, and he's about Three weeks old.
Yeah, you'll grow up to be about as big as Mommy.
That's biggest mama and let's say, I like one of these are the pigs and want to take them home.
I guess it's a possibility, right?
Yes.
We do sell.
Most all the babies of Tanglewood to approved homes.
They're obviously very friendly by the time.
The folks were ready to take them from their mamas.
We've already made them in prison, human interaction with them.
So that they're very much like having a dog.
And speaking of dogs.
Come on in.
Let's go meet some rules.
Special animals of Tanglewood.
I see a lot of Miniatures, but these dogs are not minute.
We do have some big dogs.
Tell me about them.
Very special big dogs.
They're called a strela mountain dogs, and their livestock Guardians, and they protect our animals.
We actually lost about 40 goats and sheep and a two-month timeframe coyotes needed a place to go and they found Tanglewood, unfortunately, so we brought the dogs in and they saved our farm and they'll guard everything from the baby goats to the Chicken.
So it's just a natural instinct.
That's what they use them.
For, in the mountains of Portugal.
There are actually less than 100 of these Valiant dogs in the United States, but one of the key attractions here at Tanglewood is a one-of-a- kind.
The world's smallest miniature horse known as Tiny Bubbles, which is actually our little Ambassador.
She visits the children's hospitals and the school kids, and she rides in the back, seat of the pickup truck and goes to drive through in each apple pie.
Sighs tiny bubbles in the rest of the Tanglewood.
Gang are used to the spotlight.
Over the years.
They've been featured in magazines, like the Neiman Marcus catalog.
So, whether you visit this big farm full of Miniatures for a unique fuzzy, take -home friend or just a daytime, Excursion, these itsy-bitsy fellas.
Welcome you to their cozy, little western town.
Okay, so it doesn't get any cuter than that.
Those little goats are now about this tall.
Oh, I just hope they're recently.
It's amazing.
I love that place.
I like the little piggies.
They were my favorite.
Yeah, exactly.
They're little, they're cute.
They're awesome.
And the excitement doesn't end there a brand-new season of Georgia traveler premieres.
Come here.
Is this January?
Look out for it.
It's going to be it's going to be great.
We've been working hard on it and actually having a lot of fun.
Doing it to believe it or not.
No, No, no.
Yeah.
It's incredible.
We're excited.
And thanks for promoting it.
We're excited about this January.
Thank you for being here.
We appreciate you.
Braving the cold.
I got gloves.
I'm good.
All right, good.
Well, you know, two guys have been working very hard on the brackets and the last second wins, and losses of today's action are Larry and John.
They're up in the broadcast Booth, who, guys, they've given you a telestrator.
They've given you the rack and whether that's 40 degrees cooler than what I've been in.
Well.
Well, you know, that's why he's up in the booth John and you're down on the field.
But nevertheless, you guys have all that equipment up there the telestrator all that good information.
Tell us what's going on.
Because I know there's a big upset down south.
You're going to talk about.
There are several and one region has gone.
Goodbye.
We're going to start off in the upper left-hand part of the bracket when it comes to 6A and Larry's going to draw the x's in the circles.
All right, up high edible right now is leading.
So you put it how you want to do that.
Just marker a circle.
Let's do it.
Well, what should we do?
Hang on to it for a wall down for them?
Okay.
Westlake is Win.
Here's what we'll do.
We'll do a little star right here you go.
There we go, and then put a star by Westlake because they're leading Westlake is leading.
Okay, boys.
Now, big upsets down here at the bottom Newton and Valdosta Newton goes to Valdosta and win.
So, how do you want to take care of that?
One's, we're going to do Newton winner.
Go ahead.
That's not gonna look at but an NHS maybe, but, uh, your eternity h. S h. Okay.
So, now Newton And we'll play Central Gwinnett and this is huge in this bracket.
Got so North Gwinnett has gone across out.
There you go, Central gets a circle, North Gwinnett gets across through and that's just the beginning of region 7.
There you go, winners and losers.
Okay.
Go ahead.
Let's go to the next page when it comes to 16, you know, when it comes to the low part of that bracket, we'll figure out who they're going to end up playing in the second round Roswell.
Right now is leading Lambert.
So put a star by Roswell, put a star by he'll grow up there.
And big.
So it looks like it's going to be Roswell and Hillgrove right now and apply at, he'll grow.
Now.
Once again, the lower part of this bracket is where all the fun is, Lee, County beats Lovejoy, first-ever region, playoff win for Lee County.
So, that's huge for Coach Fabrizio and the Trojans and they get Archer.
Wow, Lee County has to travel and be the Road Warriors out of region.
One one more time next week and they will go to Archer.
Now, on the right hand side of the Bracket in the upper right-hand corner, we had McEachern.
So do your magic there.
There we go.
McEachern winner 2:37 over East County to Alpharetta.
Gets a star.
Because they're leading right now.
21:18 this game game that we just saw here on GPB Grace and get your circle.
Great season for Shannon Jarvis and Mill Creek Tucker, survives 3129.
So it looks like Grayson is going to go next week to hallford, Stadium to play Tucker.
Now lower right-hand part of the bracket North Cobb and Hughes were still waiting on a final used was leading.
So he's gets a star and they get northcott North playing North Cobb there up 14 Milton was winning so that you get big at Milton worth you Welton, I think Milton, what I say, 37 nothing's gotten will advance.
Okay?
Okay, then do the Shula and Colquitt.
The people here.
Saw your shoulder.
So I do really, okay.
So y'all can get your circle Dacula winner over Peachtree Ridge and the Shocking thing is all of regions, 7 is gone.
That's the big thing that we take out of tonight and Colquitt County puts 62 on Rockdale County.
So 35 in the first quarter 42 and a half.
So Colquitt county is rolling.
Dacula, that's going to be a big test for them next week.
Going all the way down the Moultrie and find out what the Falcons are made of when they go down to play the factors easily.
35 points, first quarter's quarter alone.
Yeah.
All right.
Now, a lot of folks think that quad egg is the toughest Arliss, when you take the left hand side of the Quad, a bracket six, teams of the top 10 in the left hand side of quad-a on its own.
That's how nasty quad-a is, so that the SEC West, it is the SEC West.
Here's your upper part stars.
Go to Sandy Creek, Wayne County, Baldwin and Cartersville.
They're the ones who are winning.
A lot of folks might be seeing Sandy Creek in Cartersville as we go down another couple of weeks.
Now, the lower part of that bracket, we all we know A couple of finals in the lower part of this particular bottom-left Marist.
Gets a circle Griffin is winning so they get a star so you could have Griffin and Maris next week.
Mary person, shutout Westover.
So Mary persons gets a circle Westover gets a line through them.
Buford no problems with Southeast Whitfield, they 163 to nothing.
So what we think is going to happen in quad-a is right now holding form, where you could have Sandy Creek playing Cartersville in the quarters, and then you could have The lower part of the bracket, which is an amazing bracket.
You have Marist, Griffin, Mary persons in Buford and that's all next week.
That's just yeah, that's round to, that's not down the road, but ejected that's possible next week, that is next week.
And so we're going to have all the brackets, all the updates, all the scores.
You got to gpb.org, download the GPB Sports app, get all the information when it comes to 5A.
And where else we going to Triple A Double, A all the scores, all the matchups.
You don't get what's going on.
Larry has done an amazing job with the pain this evening.
It's very tough.
Hey, he's got the bracket out.
Degree, though.
I'm just I'm an apprentice.
I'm gonna give him his Ph.D. Before we leave tonight.
We'll send it downstairs to y'all.
Sounds good.
And now out of all of that, we have to decide where we're going to be next week.
That's the big question.
We're going to have to put on our thinking caps and come up with another great game.
Yeah, and don't worry though.
As soon as we decide we will post it on GPB Sports Facebook page.
You can just look for GPB Sports on Facebook will also post it on Twitter as well, right?
