One of the pandemic's greatest impacts has been on the restaurant industry, and Chicago isn't immune. According to the mayor's office, approximately half of the city's eateries closed temporarily or permanently last year. But now, Mayor Lori Lightfoot and members of City Council hope a pilot program will help ease the economic blow.
