NJ congressman tries to find common ground for a deal

The U.S. economy is edging dangerously close to an economic disaster as the June 1 deadline to avert a default on the nation’s debt  approaches. President Biden and GOP House Speaker Kevin McCarthy Monday resumed talks to temporarily raise the nation’s borrowing limit. U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) has been trying to find common ground to help get a deal done.
