Only 44% of households in Sussex County have broadband internet
Access to low-cost high-speed internet has been a problem for years in rural and low-income areas in New Jersey and has been made worse by the pandemic. New Jersey secured $190 million from the federal American Rescue Plan to expand and improve internet access in the state. But so far, none of those funds have been distributed.
