I'm Todd Gutner.
Last fall, schools from across the state took the qualifying test to be part of this season.
The top 16 scoring schools have made it onto the show and each one is hoping to become our newest champion and take home the $1,000 grand price for their school's project graduation.
In our first game for season seven, we have a rematch of two teams who met in season six.
The Gould Academy Huskies from Bethel are hoping to repeat their win over the Brewer Witches who are hoping to rack up a second quiz show championship.
Now let's go on to meet the players for our kickoff match.
for Gould, we have Mary, David, Polly and Will with Amelia and Emmett and Marco as alternates and they're coached by Adam, left.
And for Brewer we have Zach, Lily, Stella, and Annette with Alternate Ren and coached by Sue Ann Gators.
The competition of course has three rounds, the tossup round, the category round, and the lightning round.
We'll start with the tossup round.
All answers are worth 10 points and this is the only round with no point deductions for wrong answers.
