Here's what he had to say during today's news conference.
Well, I'm encouraged by the early talks that we've had, the meetings that we are setting up.
I'm encouraged both that we can continue a good relationship and encouraged on some issues that it looks like people are open to talking about and steps that this Commonwealth desperately needs to take.
Campaigns are hard to come off of.
And that's still a lot of what you're hearing.
I mean, on sports betting, we were talking to the sponsor, what, every day, every other day, medical marijuana and so many others.
We banned great games.
I believe we call the legislators in to our office for what needed to be done there.
That we started that with leadership, though they had pushed in the last session.
So, listen, I don't want to get in the back and forth about how we describe the relationship.
Let's put it this way, we've gotten a whole lot done.
The governor says he will meet with legislative leaders in both parties in the next month before the session begins.
He says those meetings will include discussions about the state budget.
