As the U.S. Congress irons out the differences between the House and Senate GOP tax plans, one of the issues on the table is whether the federal government should consider tuition waivers graduate students receive as taxable income. Michael Bellecourt, a member of the teaching assistants’ union, explains what this change would mean for graduate students.
