Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the composer Verdi's birth with his Requiem.

In commemoration of the 2013 Verdi bicentennial, Music Director Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic perform Verdi’s towering Requiem Mass at the Hollywood Bowl in California. The maestro shares his enthusiasm for the iconic venue, the largest natural amphitheater in the country, and for Verdi’s passionate and highly theatrical work. Airs Friday, August 1 at 9 pm on PBS.
