Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(guitar and harmonica music) - So, what we're constructing is a two-sided wall.
The street side is gonna very much look like the architecture of the high school.
The same bricks.
The same type of stone work.
There's gonna be a big gold medallion in the middle or a bronze medallion, that's a enlarged replica of the Nobel design metal.
On the other side, we're gonna have a stainless steel panel that's full of lyrics from throughout Dylan's career.
I think we have over 50 lyric fragments that will be engraved and designed in a stainless steel.
And then, in front of the wall, we'll sit a bronze chair.
And, we've had donations come in from around the world and from around the state.
And it's just really great to see that we have that support.
- [Speaker] We're not trying to convert people that like or don't like Dylan.
(crowd cheers) It's just recognizing that influence that he's had.
And, you know, chances are, if you don't like Dylan, whoever your favorite musicians are probably somebody that's been influenced by him directly or indirectly.
- Maybe 10 years, 20 years down the line, a kid that hasn't even been born yet is gonna walk by this and maybe decide to pick up a pen or a guitar or both.
And, you know, see what the next generation has to say about this thing called life in this place where we live - The slice from WDSE, WRPT.
