The FBI’s annual report on hate crimes shows the number of incidents rose sharply in Michigan in 2016. The same was true nationally, with many of the hate crimes occurring after the November election that year. Michigan saw a 29% jump in hate crimes reported to police. That’s much higher than the national increase of 4.6%. Episode 4610/Segment 3
