And tonight's look at headlines around Kentucky.
Average pay for teachers in Kentucky is not holding up well compared to teacher salaries in other states.
According to reports by the National Education Association, Kentucky ranks 41st nationally.
The state previously ranked 40th nationally.
Looking at numbers from 2022 to 2023, the Kentucky Lantern reports the national average for teacher pay is $69,544, while Kentucky's average is $56,296.
The Campbellsville University student accused of killing his wrestling teammate has been indicted for murder and related charges.
That's according to the Central Kentucky News Journal.
21 year old Charles Escalada was arrested February 24th and charged with the murder of 18 year old Josiah Malachi Kilman.
A murder conviction in Kentucky can include life imprisonment or the death penalty.
The Central Kentucky News Journal says Tillman was found unresponsive in the dorm and his death was attributed to asphyxiation by manual strangulation.
The number of drug, alcohol and tobacco events recorded by Kentucky schools has increased significantly.
The Harlan Enterprise reports data from Infinite Campus and online Student Information tracking system shows from 2017 to 2018 and 2022 through 2023.
Elementary School saw the number of drug, alcohol and tobacco related events jump from 140 to 805.
That's a 475% increase.
The Harlan Enterprise also reports that Kentucky middle schools saw a 281% jump and high schools a 107% increase.
Three cities with the most expensive homes in Kentucky are in the Louisville metro area.
The Richmond Register reports Prospect Goshen and Crestwood have the most expensive homes, respectively.
That's according to News Site Stacker, which compiled data from real estate marketplace Zillow.
As of March 20, 24, the list says the typical home value is almost $600,000 in prospect.
More than $450,000 in Goshen and about $434,000 in Crestwood.
In March, the typical home value in the United States was around $355,000, a 4.6% increase from last year.
