Millions of Americans in need of hearing aids will soon have a more accessible and affordable option to buy them without a prescription. The Food and Drug Administration this week finalized a new rule allowing for the devices to be sold over the counter; the ruling applies to hearing devices for adults with mild to moderate hearing problems.
