Cities have opened cooling sites as a precaution during heat wave.

Though not quite as intense as the heat dome baking the Northwest, an oppressive heat wave is slamming the area and a heat advisory is in effect through Wednesday night. The searing temperatures have led cities up and down the state to open cooling sites.
