Tony Huppert and his family own TEAM Oil Travel Center in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. Gov. Scott Walker and some key Republicans in the state Legislature are split over whether or not to raise taxes for road projects. Huppert said the lack of state funding puts rural areas in a difficult position and his business will now pay more $1,300 in property tax so the township can maintain and repair roads.
