Chris Patritto is the administrator of the rural Hurley school district. Gov. Scott Walker's state biennial budget proposal would boost funding by $31 million for rural districts to help fill gaps from declining enrollment and transportation costs. The budget would increase funding for K-12 schools by $649 million over the next two years.
