Gansner and Hughes debate the appropriate punishment for the Madison middle schooler. Nick Gansner, the student's attorney, said expelling a student for carrying a non-lethal gun is too extreme. Madison School Board member Ed Hughes argued a BB gun is a dangerous weapon and that the Board responded accordingly.
