Gov. Scott Walker said this week he planned to propose linking food stamp eligibility for parents to hours worked in his biennial budget proposal. This comes as part of a proposal to overhaul the state's welfare program. Even though the sanction would be limited to parents, state Sen. LaTonya Johnson, D-Milwaukee, said the action would still make it more difficult for children to get enough food.
