- Wait, - High plates, - State mistakes?
Oh no, no.
- And Highwater Haulers - How my heartache.
Just give you a sign.
Yeah, just I don't, and maybe I ain't here for you.
Learn from your mistakes.
Oh no, no.
Where it's going my own.
I'm working on a heart inside.
Well, ain't funny how my heart fight.
See how my hearts no more?
No, no, no.
You so concerned.
Oh yeah.
You seem so contr.
But the morning speaks volumes of the deaf.
Oh no, no.
You have ever - Known - Have the, I stand here for you.
All your mistakes.
Oh, some head.
- I just wanna make sure it's working properly.
Right.
- We are in the process of making a new record in one word.
It's exhausting because schedules and logistics alone are, are really hard.
And I think any musician can identify with that.
- What a season for the ghost.
- My name is Christian Calderone.
I am part of high plane Things - No longer reveal themselves again - In terms of the process for this album.
You know, an example of a week will be Frankie would come in on Mondays and he would do a his song or two.
So here's Frankie.
So he played two different voicings on this little lead.
And you can hear he is, he's chopping away and then doing an arpeggio.
So I remember something that Frankie and I worked out during this, so I'll play the beginning again.
Hey, - Hey, hey, - Do do, do, do.
- Yep.
The fourth time.
Yep.
Would it be better going?
- And I just suggested that he changed the second half of it to make a different and he liked the change.
So that's what we recorded.
So, you know, part of, part of working together.
- Oh, you believed all you.
The - Annie is a brilliant musician and she has an amazing ear for harmonies - Healing giveaway and leave a broken waist.
It shall, - I love singing with Annie and she makes me much better.
Let me get to a verse here.
Yeah, I mean, so that's the second verse to a song called That Voice.
I've been known to hold up songs 'cause I don't like one word.
You know, it's not the best way to go about things.
I think I had rewritten several words in that and Annie was sorta used to singing the old words - With all, you know, oh you've, did I do it again?
I'm looking at Learned and I'm saying no, what the hell?
- That was the culprit.
I changed the words on her after she had already been used to singing them, which is not a fair thing to do.
I'm sorry, Annie.
So here's into the chorus.
- Darkness can invade your mind beside you.
- That's nice, huh?
Ah, she sings great.
- Yes and no.
Yes and no.
- How am I gonna feel when the album's done?
I know I'm gonna feel relieved.
Will I like the album?
I, yeah, I hope so.
I don't take for granted if anybody listens to it.
I love anybody listening to it.
And I have some close friends who are able to do this with me and it's done with gratitude.
Alright, we'll get as far as we can.
- You must know what - And the - Wow.
- Well, she's a How Water Holler Midnight Chasing a Go.
Something she can't - See - Driving hers in the moon.
I flying like a loss Ain't gone to be Free and I'ma and through the sickness and - I am just a brother, which wants a share.
I always meant to be on time with the time.
I'm always say mountain bar in Atlantic.
Praise the only one to play.
I'll be riding the wave the - To - The moon.
In the moon.
In the - Moon - When I'm a baby.
And I've been ripping across the sea and through the sickness and all the thrills I ever call you Saint Conlon as me.
You know, I'm a, I want a haul of sugar and every problem I can slide.
You know, some people break from the pressure, but I've been hauling it all my life.
But I've been hauling - It - All my, - This feels like when Harry met Sally, you guys, Harry met Sally.
It's like, it's like my favorite rom-com.
I was playing in my metal band scalpel at the time and we were opening for anthrax at the Worcester Palladium.
I remember I invited you and your boyfriend.
Did you know, I mean, you kind of knew who Anthrax was, I guess - Guy with like the raccoon beard.
I was like, that's not really my jam.
- It's Scotty and you minor.
Yeah.
- While we were dating, it was always, we would call it like separation of church and state.
Like I had my songwriting career.
I'm not new to this, I'm true to this.
I've been working my ass off.
Once we got engaged, when we really started playing together more, we decided, you know, I think now is the time.
We are gonna be together forever.
We might as well try the band thing out.
- I've threatened to quit a couple times.
- Me too.
The high water haulers are psychedelic rock and roll creatures - Like Patsy Klein and Thin Lizzie driving like a horse and buggy.
But there's like lightning bolts coming out of the back.
The horses aren't horses, but like Giant St. Bernards, - The other members of high water haulers, we have Alfie Purcell on base, our our sweet - Boy sweet carpenter boy.
- He is just a true angel and is always doing his best, always positive attitude.
Ryan Jackson, who is our drummer, - I, I've known him for a very long time, since I was maybe a freshman in high school.
We've kind of played in the music scene growing up right down the road in Attleboro.
There we're like, come hell or high water, we're gonna find a band name.
And, and then the name of the album and the title track was kind of about just the underdog and, and being the underdog.
Everybody's got a puncher chance.
And just the idea that no matter how insurmountable the odds are that you really only need that one shot.
And, and you can turn the tables.
We know it's probably always going to be hard, but - We're gonna be doing it for the rest of lives anyways.
We're every, - The rest of our lives, we can't help it.
- Everyone loves an underdog too.
Yeah.
It's so crazy to me in seeing how far we've come and how far we still will go.
We shared the stage at Boston calling, but it, the motivation hasn't stopped.
What will our next tour look like?
What is the next festival?
We're always looking to be releasing new music.
It's just a part of our life.
We're songwriters.
It will always be happening.
But now that we've had a little bit of exposure to these bigger ideas, were more motivated than ever.
- I can't sleep.
I can't sleep at all in the summertime.
Everybody's got a puncher's chance for it.
I think I lost mine and I could do a thing with a broken hand in the hatred of the sunlight.
- I can't sleep.
- I can't - Sleep all in the summertime.
- Let's go beneath the forbid soul that's living in the ground, looking for someone to save you by the savior.
Never gonna come.
I was hoping for a better summer.
Never spoiled by the sun.
Looking for someone to save your butt.
To save.
You never gonna come.
I was hoping for a better summer.
Never spoiled by the - Sun.
I can't sleep.
I can't sleep all in the summertime.
Everybody's got a punch chance for, I think I lost my life.
I can do a thing of the broken man and a hatred - Of - The song.
Can't sleep.
Fall in the let - My mind be the - To - Get me through.
My will am to always - Keep the through - Being - Caught - Up and broken.
Just bit shattered.
There's still light in the black hand blue.
That's why they call and - Shine - Broke just a bit.
There's still light in the black and blue.
- That's call shine.
I can't see.
I can't see.
Everybody's gotta, Lord, I think I lost in the I can't sleep.
I can't sleep all in the summertime.
Well, I can't.
I can't sleep all.
I can't.
I can't.
Everybody's hatred.
I - Can't sleep.
I can't sleep.
All in - The summertime.
- Summertime.
