Pou's bill would shorten the last year of a sentence for inmates serving their full term.

Sen. Nellie Pou's bill would shorten the last year of a sentence for inmates serving their full term. The bill has bipartisan support and is moving through the Legislature with minor amendments. It could ultimately free 3,500 inmates.
