"Holbein: Capturing Character" is on view through May 15 at the Morgan Library & Museum.

An exhibition at the Morgan Library & Museum highlighting the work of Hans Holbein, one of the most inventive artists of the early 1500s. He created captivating portraits of courtiers, merchants, scholars, and statesmen, and served as a court painter to King Henry VIII. The exhibition also highlights the artist’s work as a designer of prints, and even jewels.
