(bright music) - Red Butte Garden's holiday shopping event features local artisan gifts, the Garden Gift Shop, and the annual Glass Art Show.

Preston Summers is going to highlight what visitors will find.

Hi, Preston, welcome.

- Hi.

- Nice to have you back.

- That's right.

- I can't believe it's already time for Christmas shopping.

- I know, it sneaks up on us.

(Mary laughing) - Yeah, so you've got two days with 18 local artisans.

And why don't you tell us about some of the things those artisans are bringing.

- Yeah.

We'll have a great assortment of all sorts of gifts, from jewelry, ceramic arts, wall arts, fiber arts, and so much more.

We're having a lot of our favorites from last year returning, as well as a handful of new vendors that I'm really excited about, some of which will be bringing some really cool items.

There's a teddy bear alpaca I've got my eyes on this year (Mary laughing) that I'm really excited to see, as well as some mini artworks that you really need a microscope to appreciate.

They're really cool.

They're a lotta fun.

- Really?

The little miniatures, huh?

- Yeah, yeah.

- Okay, okay.

And then talk about the glass art exhibit.

- Yeah, the Glass Art Show just grows and grows.

This year, I think they have over 40 members.

So we'll have thousands of glass items for sale.

Super unique, all made here locally.

- Wow, wonderful, wonderful.

And some of the gifts that I think a lotta people will be interested in, you can give a gift of a pass to Red Butte Gardens.

- Yeah.

Our gift memberships are a great option for the experience seeker or garden lover in your life.

With those memberships, you'll get, of course, admission to the garden for the year, as well as discounts for our programming, events, concerts, of course.

Everybody loves those, so.

- Yeah.

- A membership's a great gift idea this year.

- Oh yeah, it's a good thing to give people.

And so when's the best time to show up during those two days?

- I think, those two days, Sunday morning is usually our quiet time.

The garden's gorgeous in the winter mornings, and then yeah, it's a little quieter in our shops during those hours.
