Chris Holman is a district director with the Wisconsin Farmers Union. A recent change in Canadian trade policy recently forced a dairy processor to cancel its contracts with dozens of Wisconsin farmers. While the amount of milk produced in Wisconsin is on the rise, the number of small dairy farms is plummeting. Holman said this is due, in part, to the rise of large-scale dairy operations.
