A new point-in-time-count report from monarch housing associates finds homelessness in NJ is still a big problem, made worse as a result of the pandemic. Data from Jan. 26 shows 8,097 men, women and children in 6,210 households spent the night homeless. And while roughly 7,200 were in sheltered facilities, like an emergency shelter or hotel, 835 people had nowhere to go.
