>> In the 2026 race for governor, Democrat Missy Hughes announced her run this week.
Hughes was most recently the CEO of the Wisconsin Economic She joins six other Democrats and two Republicans lining up in the primary election, and a conservative candidate entered the race for Wisconsin Supreme Court this week.
A state appeals court judge, Maria Lazar, is running to replace Justice Rebecca Bradley, who chose not to run for reelection.
