I'm your host, Paul Lazar.
Scholastic Scrimmage is a question and answer competition featuring high school students from across the WVIA viewing area.
In each program, two schools will compete in a single-elimination tournament for a chance to win one, three, or five thousand dollars.
WVIA would like to thank our sponsors, FNCB and People Security Bank, for making this competition possible.
This years Scholastic Scrimmage looks a little different, and the rules have been revised due to the pandemic, but in each half, students will have the chance to alternatively answer one question.
If they answer that question correctly, they'll receive a bonus question.
If they're answer is incorrect, the other team can rebound but will not be given a bonus.
