A key immigration bill is moving through the Legislature. If it makes it to the governor’s desk and gets his signature it’ll essentially put an end to jail partnerships with ICE. Four facilities in the state hold immigrant detainees and each has taken steps in recent weeks to limit their contracts for current detentions. Could this legislation end the footprint ICE has in NJ?
