- Yeah.
(snow crunches) - I've lived here a while and I just love it.
I'm near the water, and I love the water.
I love being near it, I love being on it, I love being in it, I love being under it.
The water tends to be very clear under the ice, so it feels like you're just suspended in outer space.
It's a real awesome experience.
(gentle music) It's always in the back of your mind, you train for this.
There's a special certification that you get where you're trained in the rope protocol.
It is a challenge.
A lot of it is mental.
It's all about getting past that and into the experience of what you're doing.
(gentle music continues) (ice crunches) Pretty much it's just the experience of being in the water, under the ice, and in just a really clear environment.
(air tube whooshes) I've heard it described as looking like you're inside a cathedral, with stained glass all over the place.
(water burbles) The hole always has an aura kind of around it, especially with the sun getting higher now.
It's awesome.
(air tube burbles) We've got just an awesome environment here.
We've got great resources: all the fresh water around here, all the diving, boating, sailing opportunities.
It's just awesome.
