We open our program with Beethoven’s “Piano Trio, Op. 11,” an early three-movement work highlighted by lyrical clarinet passages. We’ll follow that up with a reduction of Mozart’s “Piano Concerto No. 20” arranged by Carl Czerny, a student of Beethoven’s. This expansive three movement work is full of heightened drama and passionate piano work that remains a Mozart classic to this day.
